This place is a gem in Boston. There are many gems in Boston, but this one is a step above the normal Boston Pub gem status and unique as it showcases more than a dozen house made 'Egg-Rolls' filled with anything from Mac and Cheese, to Shepperd's Pie (my personal favorite), to Chicken Pot Pie through buffalo chicken and pulled BBQ beef to name a few!!! Wings were also really good, they used corn starch to coat before they fried them which gives them a really great crisp/crunch even when coated with the sauce. Great staff as well and while it was a month ago or so I was there and i can't recall his name, he looked a lot like Aaron Rodgers so you won't miss him if you visit this place! Thanks again! Walked here before a concert. We grabbed a high top and stole chairs from other people's tables they weren't using. We were trying to order food on the app when the bartender came over. She was super nice, asked if we needed drinks. Gave some recommendations. We started with tatchos, a Vermont cider and a Long Island. We also ordered burgers. I did not expect the food to be as good as it was. The burger was really greasy but honestly I haven't had a burger like that in so long-it was welcomed. Everything was so damn good. Swung into the corner pub for a quick bite as I was craving some buffalo wings. This quaint little bar is everything you love about "a corner pub." The service is friendly as were the customers who stuck up conversion . I ordered wings and was surprised . For the record , I don't prefer breaded wings so when they came ( breaded) I gave a little sigh ... I was really impressed upon trying them how crispy and tasty they were. This was definitely the go to bar spot while in Boston. Pam and her husband are the owners and they are THE BEST. It is a small chill place to hang and have drinks. Pam and her husband will take care of you and make sure you alright. I came across this bar on Yelp and they were like how the heck you found us! They not a big advertiser of their business. They keep it small and a family type feel vibe. They do sell food here too. I tried their house wings with a side of buffalo sauce...delicious! They also made a pizza which wasn't bad. But the wings were really fresh and good. The drinks are decently priced. I just enjoyed the atmosphere here and the vibe. I can't wait to return here when I am back in Boston. They do have a lottery drawing you can play there and such funny bar decors. read more

Came here on a Thursday night before Christmas Eve. Right as we got there, the worker had written on the door they are closing at eight when it just turned 6:30. Seating ourselves, we were informed the kitchen close at 7 o'clock so we were quick to decide on what to order. We shared the steak and cheese eggrolls as well as the mac & cheese with hot dog egg roll. We built our own burgers including the mushrooms, peppers and onions cooked to medium. Compared to other steak and cheese egg rolls I've had before, these were not anything spectacular being on the dry and over cooked side. Same goes for the Mac n cheese version in which my half barely had any hotdog because of how it was cut. However, these factors could have been due to them trying to close and wrap up for the night. The burger was great though, perfect for those drunk nights you want to get something fatty and comforting in your belly. Both the regular and sweet potatoes fries were crispy and soft filling. The brioche buns were always appreciated but a side pickle really would have made it even better. In the short time there, we were able to order their mixed drink which comprised of pineapple juice, vodka, and a few other ingredients making an easy drink to sip on while waiting for food. Would like to come back at an earlier time/different day as I can tell it has a great and comfortable vibe to hangout with friends and maybe get to know others. read more

Stopped in here for a quick drink while waiting to head back to New York on Saturday afternoon. They had some outdoor seating, along with inside seating. I opted to sit inside. There were a few tables occupied with one or 2 persons. I ordered a margarita, which was reallyyyy good. The bartender was really cool. She switch up the music and started playing Beyoncé and Rihanna. Talk about knowing how to read the crowd! This was a cool place to stop in for a drink. Terrible experience very unprofessional never again We were seated and quickly received our drinks, we we were told our waitress would come back but she took 45 min to come back to take our order our waitress was too busy talking to friends and taking drinks/shots with coworkers. she only came because she saw my wife's very unhappy face, After putting our orders in she comes back 5 min later and re confirms our orders, i wonder why she would slightly forget our orders... maybe too many shots. Our food was ok, steak and cheese and buffalo egg rolls were good. Mac and cheese egg rolls and mozzarella was bland and mid. After receiving our food it took her over an hour to come back to our table, too busy talking and drinking to tend to us. After awhile I had to wave her down and ask for the check and she said she got us but then went on a phone call and came back 30 min later after being waved down again for the check she had forgotten. In the meanwhile The next waitress grabs the half eaten food from the table next to us and drops it on my wife's sweater and the floor... again maybe she had too many shots to be coordinated. She half apologizes to my wife and barely cleans up the floor and leaves the other persons half eaten food on our table and never comes back to get it. Our waitress comes back to check on us but by then my wife had already walked out the pub in frustration with the terrible service. She realizes she never brought the check and brings it and I hand her my card and she drops it right in the food that was spilled on the floor... again maybe too many shots on the job. Terrible service, food is ok, but literally one of the most unprofessional bars I've been to and I had high hopes for a bar rated this well on yelp. This has become the "eat, pray, love" of dive bars. Sometime during quarantine (when I wasn't looking), they replaced all the legit dive bar deco with banal sayings on dollar-store plaques in pastel colors. Imagine throw cushions that say "it's wine o'clock somewhere" and pablum like that. (Okay, maybe not cushions, but your maiden uncle would think the place was cute.) That's not how to run a dive bar. There's a dive bar I know -- a legit one -- that has a shelf tucked in behind another shelf on the back of the bar which is full of random liquors, stuff that nobody drinks, like, maybe, bubblegum vodka or... and there's a handwritten sign on the shelf that says "$4 shots." It's been that way for years. It's known as the four-dollar shot shelf. (And yes, I have. And, no, NOT the bubblegome vodka, for godsakes.) This is what the Corner Pub used to be like but The Corner Pub has gone corporate. They've painted a big mockup of the Green Monster and have a formal fancy board that lists "brown bag shots" and "Mystery Beer." It's just not the same when it's scrubbed. It's like when mom sees that you're collecting beer can labels and decides to help out. Uh, mom.... Up the block there's another legit dive bar that has its wine list on a white board. It says: Red. White. That's it. No meta self-conscious aren't-we-cute stuff. While I was sipping my coors lite, I started to wonder if I'd imagined the earlier Corner Pub and so pulled out pictures. Nope. The Pub has changed, and not for the better. Oh, you can still get cheap(ish) drinks and stoned bartenders. You can still get corned beef egg rolls (and other weird wonders of the dive world), but not as many, and not as cheap. Okay, I know, Covid forced everyone to streamline. Yesterday was my first and last time going here. I politely asked the bartender what the IPA on tap was, and he just fired back, "There are like 5 of 'em," so I pointed directly to the tap I was asking about and said "the one that says 'IPA' on it" and he repeated himself, "There are like 5 IPAs"...this went around a few times until he finally said, "oh, you mean the one that says 'IPA' on it?" Just complete rudeness that could have been avoided if he did his job and provided a real answer from the beginning. I'm totally fine with a no frills dive bar (it's basically my go-to) but I know enough good bartenders around town to know this ain't it. If I had been drunk or an a-hole I would get the attitude, but I was neither. So have a nice life being like that to everyone you meet. read more

Came to Boston from Jersey and WOW!!! Came during shark week and they had an awesome shark week 2018 menu so we had the fish&Chips and their famous egg rolls! Whoever works here and was bartending tonight (11/26) buddy was wearing a white shirt and tie trying to look all idk professional or something He looked about as serious as Dale and Brendan did in Step Brothers. Guys a joke of a bartender. Walked in there with my gf and sat at a table in an empty ass bar and the dude just stares at us for 10 minutes. Can't even come over and take an order or ask what's going on. Not a server in sight either. The fact that bartender works here says everything about the business itself. Prolly some front who knows. Don't go. If ur reading this white shirt chin up, serving in an empty restaurant is like rocket science we all understand.
