    Steak frites and Iberian Pork
    L G.

I was lured in with the whiskey sour cocktail for happy hour. The Iberian pork collar with Creme brulee sweet potato was amazing!! I had the hanger steak frites . The hanger steak was excellent, the fries were okay, the mushrooms were excellent. Excellent pre MGM show meal the service was good too. I want a dessert and had the coffee ice cream with meringue. You must like coffee and meringue to get this. I am meh on both so it's my fault that I didn't love love it.

I went to The Citizen before a Red Sox game and got a ton of oysters and an order of fried pickles, truffle fries and a couple drinks. It was a beautiful day we sat outside because it was such a nice day. Service was quick and the waitress was kind. I would def go again whenever I'm in the area.

This is a great little spot! Tons of seating available and great for a quick drink. I got a cocktail here and it was delicious and pretty! Also a very good price. As a matchbook collector I was so happy to see that they had matches.

Small to medium venue. Metered street parking around. Staff were friendly & attentive. Dark interior with an old school high end bar feel to it. Food was good, but nothing to sing about. A great restaurant near Fenway Park that offers a good selection of food. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Service was excellent.

They had an impressive bourbon and whiskey list, including Pappy. Kentucky campin' was dangerous in a good way. A concerned non-bourbon drinker ordered it and loved it due to how well it was mixed, given it, muted a bourbon taste. The oysters were fresh, the tuna tartar was pretty good. The brussels sprouts were very crispy and crunchy, but lacked flavor. The old fashioned was pre-barrel aged made and it was alright. The toffee bread pudding was really good, I regret sharing it good. Nice public house vibes and great service/

The irony is that all my companions tonight were not fans of either whiskey nor raw seafood, the two specialties of Citizen Public House, but thankfully all the other food and drink options were plentiful and very delicious! The spicy deep fried pickles were super addictive, the endive winter salad was so flavorful with a very nose-tingly horseradish dressing, cauliflower cream pan fried gnocchi was divine, and especially enjoyed the duck pot pie with root veggies. Our server was so charismatic, attentive and kind. Could not recommend coming here enough! And would love to come back and try their raw seafood bar :)

Came here after a Red Sox game for a nightcap and some appetizers. An interesting place with a bistro set up and a main bar. A fun place to come after a game, pretty lively with a few TVs. The big sticking point was how well made the drinks were. All of them were very well balanced and flavorful. The appetizers we had were very good as well, the oysters were very fresh. All in all we had a very good experience here and would be very interested in coming back for a full meal.

Great spot close to Fenway but classier vibe than most of the bars around there. Large bar and lots of tables. They said they have the most whiskey in all of Mass which I would agree, they had a large book of everything. We got oysters and turn tartar and they both were amazing. Prices were decent as well. The service was great, I would come back if I was in the area!

Delicious vegetarian pan fried gnocchi with cauliflower cream, cheese & herbs!

My husband and I haven't been here in probably ten years, and I'm so glad we tried it again! I appreciate that even though they are known for whiskeys, they have a Zero proof cocktail list. I enjoyed the yummy mango rosemary one. I was also really impressed with our server, Nicole who had memorized my extensive list of allergies upon arrival and had great recommendations! We started with the straciatella eggplant focaccia with pomegranate, basil oil, and balsamic reduction which was unique, and my husband devoured it. I enjoyed the pan fried gnocchi with cauliflower cream which was an awesome vegetarian dish with a great texture and flavor- you would never know there was cauliflower in it because it tasted so cheesy with sage and rosemary. My husband had the steak paillard, which he said was ok. For dessert, you may think you've had great bread pudding before, until you try this toffee bread pudding which is somehow a light yet custardy masterpiece and not cloyingly sweet (sorry Eastern Standard). Also, they validate parking at a nearby lot...I already want to go back!

There is literally fun everywhere you look from the panda stuffed animal riding a tiger on the wall to the hilarious shrek pillow. Coming right when they open I was able to see these things that you would likely not see in the evening. But to be fair I came right when they opened since it is first come first serve. A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. We also spent an hour at the King Tut exhibit across the street! This restaurant/bar always seems packed. And, with reservations for 645pm (highly recommend) the bar was quite busy. The buzz from this high-end cocktail bar is exactly what you want on a Friday evening; From girlfriends sipping their wine to couples laughing and swirling their cocktails, Moon Bar is for the classy and sexy. Abby our server is excellent! A mixologist who knows all the cocktails and can recommend based on your preference. I tried one of their new cocktails with bourbon and did not care for it. Abby made me my mezcal drink that I have ordered before...its the 305 cowboy, an extremely popular drink. A must try for sure! Note: Some bartenders make you feel guilty for saying something about a drink you ordered and did not like. But, here at Moon Bar, Abby was so gracious to make me something that I will enjoy. Hats off to her:) Food: Since it was restaurant week we just shared everything. For starters we ordered the Tuna Tartare that was excellent. Then, we had Piri-Piri Chicken Thighs that were also good but quite spicy. For dessert, we shared the Caribbean Tiramisu, which was great. It was a tough choice between this and the Guava Cheesecake. We were so full that we ended up bringing home leftovers. Oh, I also forgot to mention we always order their Curry Fries - a must try when coming here Trust Me. My husband doesn't love curry but he loves these fries and you will too. #friesaretodiefor Moon Bar, thanks for being amazing in every way. In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
