We had them what they consider mozzarella sticks excellent the wings outstanding the fish tacos the best fish tacos I've had anywhere and the pot stickers were excellent. I have been waiting to eat at Audobon for over a year now because my roommate is a huge fan, and now I understand why. This is such a casual and "easy" place to step in for a really high quality dinner and drinks. Service was great, and we went with the challah grilled cheese and tomato soup and the steak sandwich. The ciabatta for the sandwich was fresh, the steak was cooked perfectly, and I loved the side salad. I also loved how fluffy and cozy the grilled cheese was, with one of the better tomato soups I have tasted. Only giving a 4/5 start because the vibes are definitely mellow compared to some other restaurants with great food, but still a really solid option for a lowkey dinner/drinks. read more

I came in on a cold day and got myself the chicken Katsu sandwich and a glass of Lambrusco. Service was quick and attentive, and the food came in fast. Very much appreciated. The chicken sandwich was good. The chicken was very crispy, but I don't know if I tasted anything really if I could taste any seasoning or not maybe because I was just too hungry or the cold numbed my tastebuds. The one thing I do complain about is the sauce on the side salad it just didn't sit well with me. Still I give this review four stars and it does seem like a very fun place to hang out with friends. Strong, creative drinks. Food is a hit or miss - the sweet chili shrimp is AMAZING, very lightly fried and decadent. A must get. Eggplant dip is okay, the pita is very soft and warm though. I expected more from the katsu sandwich, which to me was just a typical fried chicken sandwich. While I found the decor inside to be a little stark and not the coziest, all 3 bathrooms were clean and our waitress was super nice and checked on us many times throughout our meal. 4.6 stars Came here the other week on a Tuesday when they have taco specials. $8 for a taco is pretty pricey but I'll admit, they were pretty darn tasty and BIG. I got the chorizo tacos and the carnitas tacos. The carnitas were ok but the chorizo tacos were DELISH! Also got some queso and chips. They queso had nice flavor but had a weird consistency: almost as if it was just melted grated cheese and some spices added into a hot pan. Despite the low number of chips, they were great and tasted homemade. Their drinks are also fantastic. Overall it's a cool spot for bites and drinks. Kinda pricey but they delivered with the flavor. I have eaten at Audubon many times and finally decided to write a review for them. Let me first, however, express my lamentations ... that the pork chop and brussel sprouts is no longer on the menu. I saw the face of god in every bite. Everything I have had here was served promptly, hot, my glass never running empty. Quality product good service and reasonably priced. Dim, hipster vibe restaurant and bar with an interesting blend of modern and classic decorations. Staff were welcoming if also short staffed for dinner on a Wednesday. The katsu chicken was the star of the dinner followed closely by the dirty fries. the chicken was well done with the bun, pickles and aioli complementing it well. The dirty fries were very good and filling, with the chorizo being a welcome touch. Unfortunately the salmon risotto was disappointing. The risotto was rather bland and had a fishy taste (perhaps from crab juice?) while the salmon was heavily salted. read more

If you're looking for an above average bar experience, Audubon is a great bet. I've been dying to try this place and definitely did not leave disappointed. It's located right near Fenway Park, tucked away on a busy street. On the outside, it doesn't look very special, but inside it's different from your typical bar. With dark lighting and candles lighting up each table, you get a slightly more intimate experience dining here. It is slightly distracting having huge TVs playing sports games (like most bars have) so I'd hesitate saying that this place has an ultra romantic, date night atmosphere. Still, we really enjoyed our overall experience here. The wait staff were busy but friendly, and got us started with cocktails which were delicious. I ordered the mulled wine which was super flavorful -- with a stick of cinnamon and a slice of orange inside. For the main course, my partner and I split a burger and a steak sandwich which were both great. The burger was fresh and juicy, and I loved the crispy fries and house sauce that came with it. The steak sandwich was tangy and PACKED with mushrooms, which I also enjoyed. I'd love to stop by here again to try some of their other menu items! read more

We stopped in to Audubon on our way to Fenway Park. We had reservations and they sat us right down and service was truly excellent. I love the atmosphere of Audubon and how their staff treats you. You feel like you have more than one waitress that cares for you and it's a great feeling. No confusion just straight up get your drinks get your food and treat you really really well. Gabby our host/waitress made it his a wonderful outing. Great service and very good food. I had the crispy chicken sandwich with aioli plus avocado on the side and my wife had the house salad with grilled salmon. I would strongly suggest they add some decor to the wall behind the bar as it stark and not inviting what so ever.... I believe they could add to an otherwise great neighborhood spot! Well I was so excited to get the squash ravioli but it really didn't taste like much even though drowning in butter excessively. The walls in this place are totally bare which is weird. The bar has some TVs above it. They have an outdoor patio in the back which is cool. But how they only have one dessert is pretty sad though. read more

This place gets an automatic five stars because it's where my boyfriend I had our first date :) But really - the combination of food, service and ambiance are hard to match. We've come here a few times and are rarely disappointed. There is an air of intimacy that makes this the perfect date place especially if you're able to snag a table in the back patio area. They change dishes on the menu frequently, adding fresh flavors each season. There is also a solid drink menu to go with it. Service is also very fast and attentive. Only major thing to note is that the menu can be somewhat limited, so they may not have always a lot of vegetarian and sometimes pescatarian friendly options to choose between. read more

Audubon Boston is truly a hidden gem. I quite literally passed by it multiple times on a recent trip to Boston and didn't think twice about stopping in. A friend then recommended it and I was immediately intrigued. The term upscale dive initially came to mind, but it's not a dive at all. The scene; a little dark but boasting with charm. Menu is very complex with a variety of unique dishes- this is not bar food in the slightest. I wanted to try everything but landed on the meatball in vodka sauce. Three in total, very good sized and were served with a baguette (and then I requested some pita bread to dip in the tasty sauce). They have daily specials which looked bomb. Bar menu looked fantastic but I just had a glass of wine. Really enjoyed talking to the staff- hostess Gabby was great. And loved the bartender husband & wife team Lem and Sophie. I came here most recently for lunch. At the server's recommendation, I ordered the warm farro salad and added salmon. The farro was flavorful; I wish there had been more vegetables mixed in! I've been meaning to come here for years, but finally made it yesterday. So happy they are open for lunch. Had a wonderfully attentive bartender. He was spot on with menu questions and I was thrilled with my one fish taco and 1/2 watermelon salad. I love a place that helps me not waste food if I can't take it with me. The cava was also lovely. My wallet was happy too. For what I ordered, if I went to one of my other local haunts, it would have been double. Although I sat inside, the back patio is pretty sweet with nice bamboo walls. Came here for some food and drinks before a Red Sox game (around a ten minute walk away). Their cocktails are spectacular (I got the Clever Girl and a French 75) however I was quite disappointed in my katsu chicken sandwich. Initially it looked great, pickles, cheese, and two pieces of stacked, fried chicken, however after tasting it the chicken was 85% slightly overcooked breading and 15% chicken. I was told by my friends that their regular burgers and steak sandwiches were good. Service was great, we were regularly tended to and the server was very accommodating to our party that slowly grew as time progressed. Some pluses and minuses... Pluses: - Nice local bar for those of us in the Fenway area. A nice long bar and room for small or large groups. - Good craft beer selection on tap as well as cans and bottles. They had Exhibit A IPA on tap . -a good place to watch sports with three TVs in relatively small confines - they have a nice back patio which is great in the afternoon. - service was on the mark. Quick , attentive, and friendly. Minuses: -Beer prices are high, even by Fenway standards. There is a note about this being due to a surge in costs, etc. The same note says they will go back to normal in the future. -unisex bathrooms with only 2-of-3 working the night I was there leading to waiting to use the bathroom. read more

Really like the vibe and service here but was overall underwhelmed by their brunch. My Bloody Mary was great but I ordered something that was their take on Toad in the Hole with Avocado spread on top and some greens - and my egg was overcooked which is pretty crucial for this dish. Was looking forward to sopping up that tasty yolk with the bread. My fiance's huevos rancheros was better. They serve carnitas, salsa verde sunny up egg (his egg was perfect), black bean & bacon purée, potatoes in a pan with the corn tortillas on the side. I'm definitely interested in coming back for some cocktails and small bites (maybe dinner) but Audubon is off my list for brunch. read more

4 stars - great staff! I've been here before, but this review is for my most recent visit on Monday night. I had time to kill before heading to the Red Sox game, so I asked to be seated outside on the patio. The waitress actually moved me over a table so she could clean off some bird poop. Welp! Outside means creatures! I ordered a glass of rose and settled in to my kindle, my phone and the tv they had playing so pre-Sox coverage. I was thinking about getting the mac and cheese (they have special mac nights), but I wanted it with burger which would have almost doubled the price (from $9 plain to $17 w/ burger)! I found out from the waitress that the chef puts a whole burger on top, so that makes sense. I went with the poke bowl instead. They give you a lot of fish and it was quite tasty. The one hiccup was that the rice was crunchy on my first go-round. I asked the waitress if that was on purpose and she was like Nope! So, she whisked it away and got me a brand new bowl with a new batch of rice. I liked that the bowl came with some slices of avocado. Yum! After a 2nd glass of rose, I was ready for the check. The prices were what you would expect ($10 for the wine and $16 for the poke bowl). No complaints there. On another night, I would normally be at the bar grabbing cocktails from their great bartenders, but it felt like a "rose on the patio" sort of day. This is a great place to stop if you're in the area and it doesn't get quite as crowded as other places close to Fenway. read more

The burger I ordered was made to perfection, the best medium rare burger i have had in a while. While the service and food was amazing we were waiting for a considerable amount of time but that was probably because it was peak hours.
