    Chocolate pudding to DIE FOR!!
    Michelle L.

Food was creative & flavors were amazing. Our waitress was so friendly & attentive. We had the goat cheese appetizer which surely could be your last meal on earth & you'd go with a smile. The shrimp starter was also delicious & our mains (pappardelle in cream sauce with diver scallops & the brick chicken were seasoned & cooked perfectly! The cherry on top was the chocolate pudding dessert - if you love chocolate as much as I do, you should start there & eat your meal backwards! Shout out to this adorable restaurant with decadently good food & incredible service. The vibe is also perfect for a romantic dinner or a girls meetup. Don't sleep on this place - make a reservation & get there!

Very cozy restaurant with delicious food and very nice staff. Also, they do serve dessert! It's just not on the online menu. I had the crispy shrimp as an appetizer which was yummy. Three giant shrimp, which we very lightly fried and had a very savory black garlic glaze. For dinner I had the bavette steak. This was very tasty. Steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, which also had a delicious red wine sauce. Steak came with a hashbrown, which was more of a giant delicious french fry. For dessert the had a baked Alaska brownie. This was gigantic. Be aware it's mad for two people. This was tasty as well. I will definitely be coming here again for the delicious food as well as the warm service

This is an outstanding addition to the south end. The food is consistently good, the staff are all very nice, friendly and helpful. The whole vibe of the place is warm, neighborhoody and chill. The staff is small but they all seem to work well together, have each orhers backs and are very efficient and calm for the amount of work that they do. The food is exceptional. Every dish on the small menu is well thought out, perfectly balanced and delicious. The fried shrimp appetizer was a surprise hit for everyone at our table, We also loved the salads. The pastas are homemade and unique, full of flavor, texture. Each dish here has unique touches and is unlike dishes at other restaurants . Don't sleep on the brunch here either. The quality and thought put into the dishes is at the same level as the dinners. Try the Johnny cakes for a surprising savory pancake packed with flavor. Congrats to the chef and to the whole team here!

My two friends and I went to The Shawmut Inn for dinner last night and had a fantastic experience! Not only was the food delicious (one of the best burgers I've had), but the service was great. It was the small touches that really added to our experience, including our server bringing over the last of the ginger ale can for us to enjoy a few extra sips of Shirly temple AND bringing over caramel brownies to our table as a post-dinner treat. We will most definitely be coming back here again and will sending our friends this way too.

the gnocchetti duck bolognese was amazing. best dining experience in boston. up and coming spot in the neighborhood with a great vibe. shoutout to the chef for the mochi dessert on the house. highly recommend. will be making the trip back from california.

It responded right away that it would optimize for a place that appeals to cocktail nerds and is open on Mondays. I directed me to Wig Shop, and said that Wig Shop even has a cocktail named in honor of John Gertsen, Boston's much-missed (he's in SF, last I knew) founding bartender at Drink and Number Nine Park. Wig Shop did not disappoint: fabulous cocktails, an easygoing vibe (my two buddies and I were able to chat without yelling from 8pm until 11:30), comfortable banquettes (with, incidentally, backs that are high enough to be supportive but low enough that you can spread out your arms on them), and wonderful service. The service, in particular, lives up to the "cocktail nerd" aspect that the LLM highlighted: our server knew the drinks backwards and forwards, and knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned the drink in Gertsen's honor. I'd recommend this place to cocktail nerds, and to anyone who wants to have a drink and chat with friends. We'll be back soon.

The Wig Shop was on the list... what a coincidence we were just going to be there. So, obviously, we made it a point to check it out. It was very last minute, so we had no reservations, but we checked opening hours and were there almost on the dot. Thankfully we were able to get in. The way they are setup is that if you are a party of 2, they sit you with another "couple" to maximize space. This is fun, it makes you have conversations with strangers that for the time you are there become "friends". Hopefully you have the same good experience we did and not have anti-social people in front of you. The drinks are fun and strong, and they have a full bar for those who want something more classic or have a drink of choice. They also have food, which looked really good.

A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
