Wow. Incredible. Flavors are cohesive and fresh, not too crazy that a traditionalist wouldn't appreciate it. I stopped by with no reservation on a Tuesday night with my mother, we saw a few more seat fill up while we were there. I ordered the vegetarian, she the omnivore. They were more similar than the menu made them out to be, but the flavors for both were tailored to the dish perfectly. I would go back again in a heartbeat. Pea pudding thing was incredible, duck was probably the best I've ever had. One note is that the "foam" for dessert is far more of a cream than a foam. Service of course was incredible too, ambience is homey yet contemporary like a chef's kitchen. I cannot wait to eat here again.

Strawberry Pound cake. A little too light on flavor. Cake could have had more moisture . 3.5/5. It was decent though

I enjoyed my meal at Lenox Sophia. The restaurant is a small intimate place and I had nice conversations with the owner and the other chef while they cooked. Super nice guys. Food is made with simple ingredients but is very fresh and well executed. I plan to eat here again when the menu shifts to the autumn ingredients. I suggest trying this place out for the friendly staff and to see how simple ingredients with good execution can equal great food. Scallop ceviche- came on a potato square which was nice and crunchy on outside and tender on inside. Came with a nice acidic sauce. Scallop was nice and tender. 4/5 Pea custard- delicious. Nice vegetative flavor flavor with just a hint of salt. The custard was nice and velvety. The whole peas had a nice bite and added good texture. 5/5 Rice and peas with crawfish- very simple. Scallions or green onion added a nice flavor. The rice was nicely cooked. The crawfish was nicely cooked too. 4/5 Lamb shoulder perfectly cooked. A Delicious savory sauce. Mushrooms added nice flavor as well 5/5 Strawberry pound cake. This was a light dessert. It was not as moist as I would have liked and was a little too light on flavor- in my opinion . Left a bit to be desired. 3.5/5

Amazing meal for a birthday dinner at such a cozy and intimate setting. BYOB for wine is fun, and servers are very attentive due to the smaller seating capacity. I can tell they use fresh and seasonal ingredients that are well flavored, balanced, and creative in each dish (and plated beautifully). They change their prix fixe menu often, so it would be fun to come back another time for more (and perhaps sit at the chef's counter)!

I was in Boston visiting a lady friend (flex) and wanted to take her out to a nice dinner. I got to work looking for the perfect restaurant and I stumbled upon Lenox Sophia. I looked it over and decided to make a reservation. When we arrived the staff was very friendly and sat us immediately. They are currently BYOB (we picked up a bottle of wine just down the street on the way) and the staff got straight to work uncorking our wine. The restaurant itself is pretty small but also intimate and charming. There was a handful of tables as well as some bar seating in front of the open kitchen. If I ever have the pleasure of returning I would likely request the bar seating in order to be closer to the chefs. They are currently only offering a 5 course prix-fixe menu, but in my opinion it was well worth it. There is an omnivore and a vegetarian option and the lady friend is vegetarian/vegan/whatever the new trend these days is so it worked out perfectly. It's nice that both of our dietary preferences were able to be accommodated in such a hassle free way. Overall the food was very good. I cannot speak on the lady friend's experience with the vegetarian menu, but my omnivore menu was great. The duck confit was the star of the show for me. The outer skin was crisp but the meat was tender and ready to fall off the bone. Added bonus that went I went to piss there was a photo of a Lamborghini Countach hanging up. All men definitely appreciate that. All in all I had a great experience and believe the lady friend did too despite her having to spend the evening with me.

I had a great experience at Lenox Sophia. It was an intimate setting with unique dishes being served. The service was incredible and the BYOB concept was very fun. Great for special occasions!

I came here over a year ago and to this day I still think about how this was the worst meal I've had in Boston and every time I think I have a bad meal somewhere else, I tell myself "at least it was cheaper than that $200 meal at Lenox Sophia" I had gotten a raving review from a coworker and so was super intrigued by certain dishes on the menu, only to arrive to a $100 per person pre-fixe menu. The space is tiny, we were seated RIGHT next to the door, there's barely any hall space for people to even walk in. Crudo - bland, but refreshing? Not much is going on. Just some herbs on top of gelatinous cubes. Mushrooms - apparently these were supposed to taste like sugar cookies and had some fancy miso seasoning but they were literally just seared mushrooms. Can we talk about the ridiculous portion??!! And anticlimactic plating! Tagliatelle bolognese - this was the only course where I felt like I was actually being fed and not teased. A decent portion of pasta for a tasting menu, solid bolognese, noodles were on the weaker side / felt handmade. Fish - could be any white fish because it was so boring. Texturally quite nice and tender as if it had been sous vide, because it certainly looked sous vide from the sad pale exterior. But this slice of fish was the size of my thumb probably. Dessert - didn't think something could actively taste bad but this flan was made worse by trying to pair it with the sour passion fruit sauce and the bitter almond lace. Service felt rushed and aloof. I see the significance around them getting their BYOB license but that doesn't mean the food is gonna be good. Don't let alcohol trick you into thinking everything is yummier!

Go here! Go here and sit at the counter, so you can also get a show of the cooking and talk to the chefs! Friendly staff and delicious food. Everything tasted really good. My fiancee and I ordered almost everything on the dish, and we loved every single one. At the time we went, they didn't have their BYOD license yet, but apparently they do now. From my understanding, the menu is seasonal so go back often to try new things. You will not be disappointed.

Tiny 20 seat space with delicious prix fixe. They have a BYOB license so bring your favorite wine or pop around the corner and pick up a bottle. Friendly and attentive service. Easy parking a short walk away at the Channel Garage.

Incredible food. Great service in an incredibly stylish setting. Not for under 21s. They can go there, but it's loud and not kid-friendly.

It is soooo good! The menu has so much variety that my only complaint is that I can't physically eat a fraction of the things that look good! Today's awesomeness according to the eaters: Chicken wings- outstanding, required if you like chicken! Meatballs- very tasty and tender and seductively fragrant with a touch of tang. Yum. Chicken dumplings- deliciously! (I asked for one word, there you have it Braised rabbit pasta- creamy but delicate, slightly tangy, tender and succulent! Short rib beef bimbab- creative, nice cut sticky glaze beef, lots of tasty textures Cajun Tilapia- The fish, the green tomatoes, the shrimp, and the sauce each have unique textures and flavors that made me smile down to the last desperate plate scrape! I recommend Moonshine 152 to everybody that visits Boston. It checks so many boxes that as I sit here waiting for dessert (pavlova, excited!) I wish again I could stuff in some of these other entrees! ENJOY and tell us about the other dishes!

This review is for delivery!…read more We ordered the crispy basil chicken, crab rangoons, shishito peppers, artichoke salad, brownie, and butter cake. Everything was sooooo tasty. They even gave us an extra dessert as a thank you which was totally unexpected but very much appreciated. The chicken was full of flavor and they dressed the rice in the perfect amount of sauce. The crab Rangoon have a spicy jalapeño sauce and come on a bed of greens. The shishito peppers have a sauce too - couldn't tell what it was, but we enjoyed it. The artichoke salad was a surprise - lots of different flavors and textures. All three desserts were sooo yummy!!!! We will be ordering again soon!

This is when we found Lincoln Tower Tavern. When we arrived, it was a moody atmosphere that we both were drawn to--high ceilings, brick walls, and dark brown accents. Since it was our first visit, we were excited to learn that Tuesdays feature $1 oysters. We ordered half a dozen and tried all three oyster varieties available. Each had a standalone flavor which I liked. It was also plated nicely for a quick photo op. For my drink I ordered the perfect pear; it had different flavors than what I'm used to, but in a good way. My boyfriend chose the Meat Pie and I ordered the Chicken Fettucine Fricassee. The waitress said these dishes would take half an hour to prepare (which it did not), so we ordered a side caesar to start off with because we were starving, it worked out because it was awesome. When the dishes arrived, the meat pie was a huge hit. I even tried the mashed potatoes and they were delicious. As for my dish, it just wasn't for me. I do want to state that it was prepared well and creative, the flavors just did not mesh with my palette well. It really tasted like turkey and gravy to me for some reason. It was a fine dish, just wouldn't order it again. Overall we had a great experience at this tavern as we really like the oysters, the drinks, the salad and my boyfriend did like his meat pie. The ingredients were also super fresh. That being said, I would try it again. They seem to be known for their wood fired pizzas, most tables were ordering them. Unfortunately we weren't craving pizza that night, but next time this is what I would order. Overall Lincoln Tavern has my vote, I just would order another entrée dish. The lemon ricotta ravioli was borderline cold by the time I cut into it which was really odd. The mozzarella was forgettable, but the pork belly was solid. The scallops that were on special were the itty bitty kind and just ok - mostly overwhelmed by whatever breading they were covered in. The best part was probably the deserts - I had the creamy Nutella something or other - and was really upset when I got to the airport in the morning and realized I left it in the hotel fridge /sad face.
