Stopped by to join my sister for bfast (twice -- they were staying at the hotel) and I was NOT disappointed - in fact, I was pleasantly surprised. My sister ordered the avo toast and the pastry basket, and I ordered the buffet. The buffet is a superb deal - it is only $35 plus tax and includes your juices, coffees, espressos, lattes, etc. The food options are: eggs, bfast potatoes, bacon, pork sausage, french toast, parfait, and all the pastries you can think of -- so many different croissants and muffins to choose from. Plus you can choose a toast and they bring this delicious raspberry preserves. The first day we had to wait for about 20 mins and the second day, we had a rezzie. Staying as a guest at this hotel and decided to go here with my breakfast. Once we were seated, we were waiting for a very long time before we finally we even saw our server. Every single table around us was served and had their servers come at least 3 times before we even knew who our server was. Since we were waiting so long it was cutting into our time for our trip that doing à la carte did not seem to be a viable option at that point since we would need to wait even longer so once we finally saw our server we just opted for the buffet. After that we did not see our server until the check. Once we looked at our bill we see it's auto gratuity for two people. No wonder service was so bad. However, we took a look at the table next to us and they told us they didn't have auto gratuity, very bizarre. We asked a table runner about it and she had no clue why. Then our server, who said it's cause we have a breakfast package. Then we go to the hotel front desk and they confirmed there is a service charge but could not confirm with me if there's an auto gratuity. At this point, we're frustrated and there doesn't seem to be a resolution. A modern welcoming modern environment with a great menu centered around the original 2-eggs any style, plus sausages, salad or a delicious lax bagel ! I tried their Greek breakfast- what a treat. Stopped in during the Nike Volleyball tournament across the street for a quick lunch at the Omni hotel. I found Kestra right at the lobby and sat the bar where one of the happiest people on the planet helped us: Jia. She made our day with her humor and smiles. Now, on to the food, the salmon was super delicious. I even asked Jia to get me the trick on how they got the skin so crispy (and she did!) The meze and the red lentil soup were also incredible. A section for a the buffet menu if you're short on time. Then a separate section if you want to be served. The table service was very attentive. The portions are big here! I had the French toast it was fresh, not overcooked and delicious! I could not finish it and took the rest to go. I also had the steel cut oats, it was sweet, just like life! I ordered the fruit bowl, fresh and enough for two adults. Coffee was delicious and they have almond milk for non dairy patrons. My dinner experience was 5-star, I'll come back to this place and to start the day with a tasty breakfast and start the day off right. I do wish there was more seating in the table service area. There is limited seating and therefore a long wait since everyone had the same idea and seems there are folks who get breakfast included based on other reviews which also contributes to many patrons. Overall, nice restaurant area. I had rib hash and colleague had the pancakes. We both thought the food was good. The weekend breakfast was ok; the usual suspects: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages ... nothing special. We ordered from the a la carte menu and that seemed better. Avocado toast was surprisingly good as well as the pancakes. Everything else on the menu is the same as the buffet. Service was subpar. Only because the staff was on strike and an interim staff was running the show. You could tell they didn't care. They were slapping silverware and plates down like it was their house. Once the regular staff came back, it was pretty good. The ambiance was really nice, as you would expect from a high end hotel restaurant. Overall, I'd skip and try something new. If you're staying at the Omni or across the road at the convention center, get here early for lunch. Food: My husband tried the fish stew (which he gave the thumbs up to) and I had the mezze platter. I was impressed with the combination of flavors and the presentation of both dishes. Not cheap, but totally worth it. Service: Vincent was lovely. He had everything down to an art and had no problem looking after the rush of people that kept coming in waves from the convention center. Ambiance: Classy, calm, and collected - even with the surge of people arriving to try and be seated. Kestra's dining area isn't very large in size, but it's cozy and intimate, even with it being so close to the front lobby of the hotel. We had no choice but to sit at the bar as all the tables were full, but I'm glad we did as Vincent took good care of us. A solid 5/5, would definitely come back. read more

Another great restaurant in the Omni hotel at Seaport! Very cozy ambience with the fireplace and Christmas tree and decorations. Elegant decor with shelves with books and art on either side of the fireplace gives it a living room vibe. The bar area also has cool artwork on the wall. Place was fairly empty due to the fact that it's Christmas Eve and also we got here close to closing time after a morning filled with strolling about Snowport in the cold temps in the teens (brrr) and then touring the ICA. So it was nice to come inside to this warm inviting place. We also got the best table right by the fireplace!! The menu had lots of interesting items and it was tough to decide but I ordered the chicken thigh kabob which came with a saffron rice with raisins, a white sauce, and a delicious side salad with cucumbers, grape tomatoes, onions, olives and mint. Very Mediterranean!! All flavors melded well together. The chicken was cooked really nice, with slightly crispy skin and the sauce and rice and salad went great with it. Really enjoyed it. It wasn't a huge portion but I was satisfied and also had some for leftovers (yummy)! The hubs ordered the Kestra burger and he really enjoyed it. The bun had a harissa aioli spread on it and burger had sweet pickle chips, a creamy feta sauce, all of which enhanced the flavor and texture of the meat. Best of all, the fries were amazing! Hot crispy in the outside soft on the inside just how fries should be. The hubs loved it and said "all the restaurants in this hotel know how to do fries right" !! And I agree!! I usually stay away from fries and may only have one or two but with these, I couldn't stop eating them! Service was great. The lone waiter Bill was quite friendly, seemed to know the menu well, offered a few recommendations, and had detailed knowledge of the dishes down to the sauces! Very impressive. Service was quick and he also complied to our request for pictures when the food arrived. He had to leave at the end of his shift and the bartender took over and he was great too. I came to Kestra serval times while staying at The Omni due to maintenance work happening at my apartment. I was happy that they had an early morning option available. The dining room area is not huge but is more than spacious enough, and the design aesthetic that begins in the lobby continues into Kestra. I was seated quickly, after showing my vaccination card at the check-in desk. The friendly gentleman took my order, which came out in a relatively quick time. They have Tumi tea, which is one of the better bagged tea brands that you find at hotel chains. The Smoked Short Rib Hash was a robust meal that would easily be a star at a weekend brunch. The short rib itself was tender and really excellent overall. I often find that when restaurants do short rib in breakfast dishes, it is dried out, but that wasn't the case here. They offered a choice between sourdough and an English muffin and I chose the former; the sourdough was perfectly buttered. It was super solid. The potatoes came with both ketchup and Calabrian chili sauce, both of which I liked and used! I feel Kestra was very thoughtful with this dish. I've also had the Crunchy French Toast, which is delectable, especially with the peanut butter syrup. One morning, I tried the Lemon Ricotta Buttermilk Pancakes--also a crowd (read: Willie) pleaser! Really, all the food I had was great, and the portion sizes were actually so large that I had leftovers. The one area that could use some improvement is the service. The team is very friendly, especially the woman at the check-in desk who recognized me each day, but once you've gotten your food, it can be hard to flag someone down. On most mornings, it was pretty empty in the restaurant, and there were several times I had to go find someone to pay for the bill. By the last day, I just decided to order and pay all at the same time, which made things easier. In any case, the food is five stars! read more

I recently had breakfast here after staying at the Omni Hotel. The space is very open with plenty of seating. The menu was limited, but offered plenty of good options. I decided to go with the Crunchy French Toast with a side of Crispy Potatoes. I loved the French toast - the combination of the peanut butter syrup and bananas was perfect, and the bread was crunchy on the outside, while fluffy inside. The pasta was a bit thick and the cheese filling was also kind of thick. But the sauce was really light and good. There was a lot of lobster and that was a plus. I had the Cobb Salad and it was good. Lots of fresh iceberg, pickled red onions, a perfectly cooked 6 minute egg, bacon that was a little too crispy, avocado, and blue cheese. The Green Goddess dressing was tasty. We had a chocolate cake with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. It was just ok. Nothing special but ok. I loved the live music! They had a jazz duo that was good. That made the evening special. A review of how I *ordered a simple salad *got sick, *notified the restaurant and was treated with - disregard. I was disappointed when I received my salad (I think $18). The salad was thrown together without properly cutting the salad- lettuce the size of my palm. I added chicken on the side; an extra $9. The chicken was evidently a variant of tikka-masala chicken, not chicken one would serve with a goddess salad. Odd. I don't like to giver servers or restaurants a hard time so I sighed with disappointment & resigned myself to eating this now $30 salad. 4hrs later, hurling all contents of said salad in my Omni hotel bathroom trash bin. Crawled out of bed with my confused if my body wanted to "make a bowel movement" or if I suddenly had endomitrosis. It was disgusting. I called the restaurant the next day and let them know that I'd gotten sick from the food. Response: "what do you want me to do about it" I wish I had a smart/thoughtful response back. I was so stunned, I spurred something like "just letting your chef know". Response: "I'll let him know" *HANGS UP* Chef leaves a voicemail at my hotel rm#. "Heard you didn't enjoy our food. Hope you can enjoy your experience" ??!! More than the night I spent sick, it's the disregard for a paying customer. Your food got me sick on my vacation. Loved the vibe!!! First off, this place has some really cool and rather large books!!! Check them out! We did! Needed to pass time so the books and a good meal was exactly perfect! So went with my team, teenage girls volleyball, and we were seated and served promptly and without any errors. And if you have ever been with a group of teenage girls you can totally understand and respect the patients of the serving team! Get the Lamb Meatballs. Amazing clash of flavor that preserved the flavor of the lamb with out that weird after taste that people talk about. I gave them a five!!' The burgers and fries were great! Rudest workers & mediocre food for price I stayed at the Omni hotel for multiple nights and ordered from this restaurant two times. Ordered room service from the restaurant and got the Kestra burger, burger was pretty good. Went to the restaurant for dinner and got a cold lobster bisque that was not creamy and Caesar salad that was drenched in so much dressing and olive oil that I only ate the top of the salad. I was only given 1 cup of water with no refill therefor I had no water with no food and no workers were even around to ask for more when the restaurant wasn't even full, they only had 5 tables of people in small groups. Then they were out of every desert by 10 pm . The next night I wanted a desert to go, the chocolate cake, I asked the hostess if they had it and she confirmed they did but told me to go to the bar tender to ask if I could get it to go. I asked the bar tender while it was not busy at all (maybe 7 people at the bar) and wasn't even looked at while he just responded they were sold out...after the hostess confirmed they had it.
