My pal ordered their spin on a Cuban and swapped out the chips for the dill pasta side. He loved it so much that it was gone on minutes. Being a fan of ground meats, I opted for the Hajj, a ground lamb, tzatziki, Mediterranean style sandwich. It was well flavored and large, and came with a side salad. I shared the sandwich with my friend, but agreed that his crispy Cuban was a bit tastier. We ended the evening with a bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream to share. Massive portions! Oh I LOVED this place. The sandwiches here are large and delicious. I cannot recommend the cubano one enough. Yes, it tastes nothing like an actual cuban sandwich but it just is really really good. The hot sister sandwich is also great. I'd come here constantly if I could. The prices aren't too bad in comparison to everything else nearby. There's not too many tables inside but we got lucky and were able to immediately get a table. They have some outdoor seating as well. The service was also great here, attentive and quick. We stopped here for lunch while out exploring the city (recommended by our local tour guides). The menu had so many good options that we needed to ask our server which menu items were most popular (their response: le mistral, the zuni roll, and the fox). From Chef George Mendes at Amar, this sandwich had Vietnamese style braised pork belly on a toasted baguette with piri piri and smoked paprika mayo, pickled carrots and cucumbers and topped with cilantro sprigs. sided with mixed greens and lemon vinaigrette. At a glance, this seemed like a fancy, upscale bahn mi. That, however, undersells the sandwich. The braised pork belly almost oozed juices while remaining tender. The pickled vegetables and side salad seemed extra fresh, which is an odd description for pickled stuff. Perhaps the acidity of the pickling brine possessed just the right brightness. The place is small and a little tight but still cozy and we were able to feel comfortable in the small space. The sandwiches are a good size and can easily fill you up. We got the Fox ($24.95), Rachel's Hot Sister($23.95), Bondir Brisket(23.95), Alden(19.95), and tomato bisque($7.95). If you're a vegetarian and really enjoy broccoli, Alden is for you. It's completely stuffed with broccoli and the cherry peppers were the absolute best things. We asked for it on the side as my friend doesn't like spice and it was so good. It's sour and spicy and we kept asking for more! They were so sweet about it and when I asked for more, they eventually gave me a little togo container of it. The Fox was amazing, it was pretty saucy although couldn't really taste the apple. The relish was on the side as well for dipping but didn't have a strong taste compared to the aioli which was delicious. The Bondir Brisket wasn't a favorite, wasn't bad but didn't add much and the potato salad wasn't the best. Rachel's Hot Sister was delicious, it was nice and juicy and the pasta salad was replaced by cape cod chips. The tomato bisque was a little small for eight dollars but it did say it was ib a cup. Overall was a great lunch place and would definitely recommend true Dog Fish Head Sea Quench Ale to go with it. Also has a clean bathroom. read more

It's a good spot for lunch from that perspective. I got the Lydia sandwich - a lobster roll. I have had many lobster rolls in my life given that we vacation in Maine so much. This one, the Lydia, surprised me because it had bacon on it. Lobster is a mild flavor - lovely and light and luxurious but mild. The pairing with bacon seemed odd. Bacon is overwhelming. Here, it did not help the sandwich and should have been left out. The lobster roll itself was okay, average I'd say. Not to be a snob, but our lobster roll recipe is better. Today's sandwich was improved by me squeezing the lemon on it. The bun, however, could stand up to anything I've had up in Maine. So kudos on the bun. Likewise my drink - the blueberry mint lemonade - was too intense and tart. I watered it down with my drinking water and that improved the flavor for me (plus it doubled the drink I'd received). So that became a win-win! Service was top notch. The wait staff worked hard and fast. They were friendly but not overbearing. Overall Parish goes between a 3 star and a 4 star review for me.
