When you want a great breakfast in a cool vibey spot, this is the place. We woke up the day after a concert and decided why cook when we can keep the fun weekend going? We went over and got a table inside to escape the heat. I went with the classic breakfast with eggs, homefries, toast, and bacon. It was great the eggs, homefries, and bacon were cooked perfectly. The toast was sourdough and tasted phenomenal. My friend got the burrito with some greens and loved it as well. Our server was great and always made sure our drinks were full and helped if we needed anything. The host was a little bit of a talking point for us. She seemed a little agitated and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. It was definitely noticeable but did not ruin our experience. We will definitely be back for more and absolutely have to come back for dinner. The rotisserie chicken looks amazing here!

Nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff that helped us make decisions about food and drinks. I liked their creative cocktail menu. I got the bubbly cosmo which was small but delicious. Whipped feta app: 4/5, delicious feta and generous with honey however it only comes with a small amount of bread. We had to ask for extra bread to mop up the rest of the dip. Smash burger: 4/5, definitely one of the better smash burgers I've ever had. The meat was super juicy and flavorful. I wish the cheese was less overpowering and it maybe had a creative sauce to break up the flavor of the cheese. Bun was dry. Fries kind of tasted like chicken to me? Not a huge fan of them but my friends loved them.

Recommended after a Fenway Park tour. We went for breakfast after the AM tour. Short walk from the ballpark. We ordered the egg breakfast. Eggs were perfectly cooked as we requested. Bacon was crispy. Everything was better than expected. The service was excellent. The food came out quickly. The place was clean and nicely lit. It felt very comfy. I can recommend this to everyone looking for a good breakfast.

Pretty loud on a Friday night. And packed. I was glad we had a reservation. Our server was very nice and friendly. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine (pink, orange) - not bad but felt a bit watered down but then maybe that's just how they taste?! The food however was absolutely delicious. We ordered their combo - any one app, one half bird, and one dessert. We got the crispy brussel sprouts, the piri piri chicken with half fries half salad, and then the sticky toffee cake with maple ice cream. The brussel sprouts had that sweet spicy flavor and definitely crispy. The piri piri sauce was finger lickin good. Right on the mark flavor-wise and not too spicy either. The half fries half salad was the right call as a side. The dessert was also tasty especially that caramel sauce. We enjoyed our dinner!

Great location in the Fenway. They have a decent wine selection, and the service is great. My wife and I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were quite supportive.

Stopped into ShyBird before a Red Sox game. Love that they had reservations available and could accommodate our larger party ... We sat down at 5:30 and wasn't greeted by our waiter until 5:55. When rushing to a game that's problematic. The service is the reason I took off a star. Our waiter wasn't knowledgeable, in attentive and didn't seem to have a care in the world while we pleaded for some attention to our table. The bar cranked out our drinks pretty fast but unfortunately couldn't master a dirty martini. The drinks off the cocktail menu were definitely better but the speed was good. The food was the highlight! The smash burger is the best I've ever had. Artichokes were top tier, Brussels incredible and chicken sandwich was so tasty and everyone was happy, even the vegetarians. I'll be back before a Red Sox game simply because the food was incredible and the convenience of a reservation. But if I see that same waiter again, I'll request a switch.

Shy Bird is such a great spot to visit in the summer and sit outside. I love the vibe, the setting and the menu. My friend and I ordered the sb dunks, sesame crusted tuna crispy rice, caesar salad and white cheddar shells & cheese to share. It was more than enough food for us both. We also ordered a couple of cocktails. We are agreed that the cocktails were good, not great, but the food was fantastic. I especially loved the sb dunks and sauce flight. Such a fun spot!

Didn't know that chicken nugget sauce could be THIS good!! Absolutely fell in love with the spicy and delicious shybird speciality sauce; and that sauce flight was a great hit when you're with a group so it makes fighting for sauces easier! Now on to the drinks...THEY ARE STRONG! Man oh man, I was not expecting the to be so strong, but hey, guess it worth the money! The service was very smooth and amicable. Genuinely wish I remembered my waiter's name but he was soooo nice and chill! Looking forward to trying the viral chicken Caesar wrap and the coffees because they look GOOD!

Second time here, this time for brunch! Love the ambience- feels really warm especially in this cold winter weather outside. Also the place was packed! That great to see businesses thriving. I ordered the breakfast plate without bacon - came with scrambled eggs, Iggys toast and fried potatoes. Good portion. Eggs were fluffy but without any seasoning and they also did not have any salt and pepper on the table. I did also have to ask for jam for my toast which came in a squeeze pouch which was actually nice to just squeeze onto the toast. The potatoes were quite good well cooked and seasoned- I just would prefer them roasted rather than fried. I also wish they had omelettes. The hubs had the wrap and others had the half bird either fries and the egg white avocado bowl which all looked good. They have unlimited coffee for breakfast and lunch which seems nice for the coffee drinkers! Service was friendly. Will be back!

Best chicken Caesar wrap I have ever had hands down! I got the regular Caesar dressing and holy cow I want to eat this every day, and I could! The crispy croutons and loads of Parmesan taste like heaven! I will dream about this chicken Caesar wrap! Great ambiance and a great place to work! Will come back to Boston just for this wrap.

My partner and I got the breakfast wrap w side salad and piri piri chicken w fries - TASTE: 3/5 - liked the pepper jack, avocado, and hot sauce in my wrap, but was expecting more from the piri piri chicken's bright & spicy sauce TEXTURE: 4/5 - stuffed wrap, tender chicken, and crisp fries PRICE: 4/5 - knew the price points would be higher, total came to $42 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - filled us up for brunch before the Red Sox game SERVICE: 4/5 - made a Sunday 12:30pm reservation online and the space was super busy. Appreciated that our waitress checked in w us if we were in a rush for the game (we weren't lol), but food still came out faster than expected, about 15min after ordering ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - tall, airy, and vibrant space. Crazy to see how much the Fenway area has changed over the years PARKING: 4/5 - got a metered street spot by Beacon St x Armory St and walked over

A great place to grab some food during a Sox game! Quick walk from Fenway- but just enough to get away from the chaos and noise. Definitely recommend if you want to just have a nice meal before/after the game with casual vibes and some good food! We shared the chicken bites, strawberry watermelon salad, and the char sui wraps. They were good, but nothing crazy. Decent food, decent prices, but a really good time! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive, even during the hustle right before a big game.

Perfect study/work spot. I visited Shy Bird on a weekday morning for the "Work from Shy Bird" deal. Of note you need to make a reservation! I didn't realize but the staff kindly still accommodated me, but they can provide an outlet and longer seating time if you have a reservation. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a big open space, lots of windows, and a beautiful patio for nice weather. They have a specific menu which includes breakfast items, sandwiches, half chicken, and salads/grain bowls. Theres also a specific drink menu which includes all the nice coffee drinks (latte, mocha, etc) and also matcha, hot chocolate, and chai lattes. Theres also a tea list! Drinks can be hot or iced. I tried the Calabrian chicken salad wrap with the rosemary fries, which was so yummy. It wasn't spicy but has a little kick, and was fresh and yummy. The rosemary on the fries was super tasty. I tried the match and chai latte and both were excellent. Would especially like to highlight how good the service was! Everything I ordered came out so fast and all the staff members were so sweet and accommodating. Definitely try out this spot!

Shame on you Trader Joe! I then decided to check out the neighborhood and found this cute place. I loved how the store was visible from the street and down a staircase. The degree of difficulty was awesome, if you had pre-cocktail'd! I recommend you use the hand rail going down. Ha! When I walked in, the two guys behind the counter were very friendly. I wasn't sure if they were always like that or just seeing if my intentions were to really shop. Hey it's Boston and tnese guys don't take any chances. I walked around the store to check out the selection. One guy followed me to the back of the store. He asked if I needed help. Yeah they still had their eye on me. Ha! Near the front door, there were a few shelves of discounted wines. This was a great deal. Buy two two bottles, mix and match varieties for only $13. That's a great deal considering Eataly across the street can't touch that price. I found two fantastic white wines. One was from Yugoslavia. It was really good. I had no idea Yugoslavia make wine. I thought they only made that little car called the Yugo. Where's the Yugo? Personally I'd stick to making wine over cars. I would totally buy this wine again. The store had a ton of foot traffic. I loved how the taxes were all built into the prices of the alcohol. There a single beer cooler in the back where you can select beers from the broken cases. They have signs about not breaking six packs in the fridge. That's so old school. In the old days you could always break six packs but don't do it here. You've been warned. This is a great stop to stock up your hotel room with cheers, especially if you're working at the convention center. Don't pay the high prices of the hotels. I got two bottles for less then one glass of wine. Now that's a deal. Thanks for wining me up in Boston.

As a certified Sommelier I am dismayed that any wine merchant would dismiss anyone's opinion about wine so rudely. I do not wear my Sommelier certification on my sleeve. I expect that being a customer alone is a sufficient reason for my opinion to be of value. Unfortunately, this does not hold true at Charles Street Liquors. While shopping there for a Pinot Noir the other day I casually suggested to one of their "sales" staff that they should consider offering one of my favorite Pinots made by Sea Glass in California. This simple suggestion was greeted with a haughty "We do not compete with supermarket wines." Implying that not only is Sea Glass wine not worthy of being sold by them, but that I too must also have a "supermarket palate" for liking it; how silly and rude for anyone in business to treat a customer this way. Adding to the foolhardy nature of her comment were the many bottles of Kendall-Jackson, Columbia Crest, and Chateau Ste. Michelle, and other wines on their shelves that are available in Supermarkets. No high marks for customer service here. Overall, Charles Street Liquors has a similar selection of wines to the other wine shops in the area. Price-wise, they are all pretty much the same, some more, some less, depending on the wine and the producer. All things considered, I'll take my "supermarket palate" and business elsewhere.

After a 15/20 minute wait, in an effort to seat us quickly, they sat us at a table that was wet, with water, and sticky from what was presumably the last table's syrup. There were 2 open, used, nips of syrup on the table that they hadn't seen or bothering to pick up. The ambiance/decor was very confusing, a lot of colors and patterns. It wasn't quirky (I've been to quirky done well), it was bordering on scatterbrained? I joked that the place was meant to be visually confusing so that you wouldn't see the lack of cleanliness. We asked for napkins to wipe our table and we were given napkins to clean it ourselves. I mean sure it was what we had asked for but when I asked in the past, someone came over with a rag and cleaner and cleaned it for us so I was a little underwhelmed with that one. Also, the table was visibly not ready because my partner noticed some hesitation in the guy before he sat us and instead of saying, "wait let me get someone to clean it for you" he sat us anyway. The entire placed smelled like a mix of dirty water and wet dog. In all fairness we should've gotten up and walked out but the restaurant was packed, so we were assuming the food must be good and we were hungry. The first two appetizer plates were got were dirty and my boyfriend's silverware. We asked for new ones. The second two were also not exactly clean but not as bad as the first. We opted to eat our appetizer from the plate it came on. We ordered the Some Like it Tot. It was cool, nothing to write home about. Expected it to be more crunchy (they are tater tots after all). I ordered the mimosa flight. Only one of the drinks had any semblance of alcohol in it. They were... oddly not good? Like not bad, but not great. The flavors on the menu sounded like they should've been great together but what served me was disappointing. I got the cookie monster pancakes. Maybe 2 stars. Very mid and uninspired. Unimpressed. The pancakes were middle of the road. Not great not bed. Best thing about this place were the nips of maple syrup. My boyfriend ordered the Monster breakfast. Also mid. The home fries were not well seasoned. Will not be returning. I'm assuming they need to pay their staff better or hire ones who care or can cook. Our server was kind though.
