    breakfast egg sandwich
    Neha W.

I recently ordered delivery from Flour Bakery + Cafe(Boston location), and it was absolutely delicious! I tried the breakfast egg sandwich and the chicken tikka masala naan and both were so yummy and incredibly satisfying. The egg sandwich was perfectly made, fresh, and flavorful. The chicken tikka masala naan was packed with taste and surprisingly filling, it made for a great lunch. Everything arrived well-packed and fresh. Definitely ordering again!

Great place to grab a quick lunch. Avocado toast with porched egg, yummy! I was impressed how large the matcha latte was!

Coincidentally and fortunately visited. Banana Bread: I was actually not a big fan of banana, but decided to follow the waitress's recommendation and give it a try. And it not only satisfied, but even surprised me. The banana's sweetness was natural and fresh, and the bread's texture was as soft, smooth, fluffy and moist as a muffin or cupcake. At a freezing and windy winter night, what could be more comforting than holding and tearing into a piece of banana bread like this?

Super crowded and popular! There's a TV screen listing which orders are in process and in line for pick up which I appreciated. I got the broccoli melt sandwich to go--it was greasy in the carry out wrap but so delicious. Nice texture of the panini bread, flavorful. Interestingly it had red cabbage in it which gave it a burst of color.

Service was unbelievably bad. Food was ok... if we could get it. 1. Waited 30 minutes for a sticky bun. There were 2 left, the woman in front of us purchased one. We asked if there were more, there were not. 2. we asked for the final bun. The bun was taken out of the case and placed in front of us near the register. About 20 seconds later, the bun was taken from us for an "online order." Why do they have more of a claim than us, when the bun was already given to us? We told the woman that we came in from the suburbs and waited in line specifically for buns for my grandmother and grandfather, she just said "no more buns". 3. To make our complete WASTE of time worth it, we ordered other items. All of these were prepped, sliced, and in the case where we could see it. Still, it took them 5 minutes to give us these. Our name was added to a list of many other names. We had to ask twice what was up, and didn't get an answer either time. I will not go back to flour. The food was not good enough for any of this.

The avocado toast was absolutely divine! I ordered via the kiosk which I think made my visit much more efficient. The default chai latte is spicy and you can get it as is, sweet or extra sweet. I chose sweet which was perfect for me but the texture could be better - it was more on the watery side. I know I got almond milk but I've had creamier almond milk chai lattes.

Decent latte not strong enough but decent. Lively and very cool inside. Would definitely go back to try something else. It definitely caught my eye.

I was already full and was tempted to get both the raspberry lemon cake and boston cream pie until I saw the sticky bun. I just knew I had to eat that one since we were in holiday season and I could really use some warm spices, butter, and sugar. I was lucky to come in at a low crowd time. I could tell if it was during the weekend it would be way too crowded for me. The staff was patient and helped heat the bun and was surprised they delivered it to my table! The taste of the sticky bun was indulgent and incredible. It's just one star away because I felt like the quality of the flour and sugar could've been better (I have IBS and acid reflux). I'll be back to try their cakes if I'm in the area!

Ambiance is a 5, with covered outside patio accessible via flight of steps, very inviting. Inside you will find variety of menu items from baked treats to signature beverages (not just coffee!). Self serve cold tap water. Service and staff friendliness is a 5, with them Showing me what goes into their mint cucumber drink. I ended up ordering iced chai latte. My daughter ordered their strawberry lemonade. Both were a 3. Their baked pastries and cakes looked good, we will definitely go back to try.

Stopped by the Fort Point Flour location on a Thursday morning. It was busy, but not overwhelmingly so--no long line, and the ordering process was efficient. They offer two ways to order: self-serve kiosk for quick convenience or ordering at the counter, which gives you a chance to see all the available pastries on display. The pastry selection is extensive and well-stocked in the morning, and the food came out quickly. One standout is their drink menu, which goes beyond just basic coffee options. I usually try something new each visit and appreciate the variety. Overall, it's a reliable spot for breakfast or a quick bite with solid service and plenty of seating. Good atmosphere for grabbing something to-go or staying to eat!

This is a small gem tucked away in an alley but there is more than meets the eye! Even though this place gets busy they are able to turn around the orders pretty quickly. I gave this location 5-stars because the staff above and beyond my expectations and here's why. Big oversight on my part I placed an online app order and I accidentally chose the Seaport location the staff called the Seaport location and clarified that I meant for this order to be picked up Fort Point location. I apologized and the staff was able fulfill my bacon sandwich, egg sandwich, iced latte and cafe au latte within 15 minutes. I did not have to wait in line, or place a new order at this location. I just patiently waited and the staff took care of my order. There are seats indoors and outside. If you're with a group there are enough seats inside. There's also free WiFi. As far as the food, I ordered the Applebacon sandwich and the egg sandwich both were fresh and delicious! Not overpowering on the sauce. The size is big enough to satisfy your appetite. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

Incredible baked goods - gooey, melty, sweet, and textured. The double chocolate walnut cookies and sticky sticky bun are to die for. I'd eat any baked good they sold here. Our sandwiches were more mixed. Yummy, sure? But achiote chicken sandwich was served cold (as though it came out of a fridge) and my friend's tuna melt came out salty and pickley. We were there on a Friday at 2p and basically every table was full. Be prepped to snatch a table.

How busy is it on Friday mornings?

Hi Leandra! Thanks for your question. Friday mornings tend to be busy. Our morning rush is usually between 8am-9am and you can always order ahead through the Flour Rewards App or by calling ahead if you'd prefer to skip the line. We hope to see you…

My first introduction…read moreended up being at a corporate event in Boston's Seaport district, where lunch arrived courtesy of one of the city's best-known sandwich shops. The catering was impressive. Before anyone even took a bite. Every half sandwich was individually wrapped and clearly labeled, with salads and sides neatly organized, making it easy for a large group to grab lunch without the usual catering chaos. The choices were wide and varied. We took our lunches upstairs to a rooftop seating area overlooking the Seaport, which made for a pretty great setting on a beautiful afternoon. I chose the Gobbler, and it lived up to the hype I've since read in other reviews. At first glance it sounds like a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich, but it's much more than that. The turkey was fresh and flavorful, and it was complemented by stuffing, cranberry sauce, spinach, pepper jack cheese, and just enough chipotle mayo to add an unexpected kick, without overwhelming everything else. It's one of those combinations that sounds busy on paper but comes together remarkably well. I spoke with several others over lunch, and they were equally impressed with their choices. That's always a good sign when you're feeding a crowd. It's one thing to make a great sandwich to order; it's another to deliver dozens of them catered while maintaining that level of quality. Since this was catered, I can't really comment on the restaurant itself. The service on the catering side, however, was evident in how thoughtfully everything was prepared and packaged, and the rooftop setting where we enjoyed lunch certainly didn't hurt. Needless to say, this won't be my last Sam LaGrassa's sandwich. I fully intend to visit the restaurant one of these days, and in the meantime I'll spend some time trying to recreate that Gobbler at home (maybe with sliced roasted chicken, but also with turkey when I have it). It was that good.

He ate his fresh and liked it enough to want to go back. He felt it was big enough to split into 2 meals, which is a plus since the prices here are pretty steep. I had mine cold, so I didn't like it as much. The tomatoes made the bread soggy, but the sandwich was packed with pastrami. The pickles they give though... so good and a perfect bite in between each sandwich bite or a good lil snack at the end. I like how they pack everything for take out. The boxes are secure, they don't skimp on the sauces and wrap them in plastic wrap and the pickles are in mini ziploc bags to ensure the juices don't spill on everything. Very thoughtful packaging. Since I ordered for pick up, they do have curbside where you double park out front and they can bring it to you, or you can run in and tell them the name it's under and they'll hand it to you when ready. For a Tuesday afternoon, service is not fast nor slow. The inside of the restaurant gave deli vibes, which I personally like. It's quite busy and they have some cool signs and photos up. I'll definitely be back to try it fresh!

Setting the base are oil, balsamic vinegar, lettuce, tomato, pickles, hots, and provolone. Italian sandwiches usually come flat-stacked or in a C-shape. Here, it's a fluffy stack, with the VERY-thin-sliced-to-order meats-- prosciutto, mortadella, salami-- piled generously but delicately, like tissue paper. More oil and balsamic on the other side seals the deal. It's a glorious sandwich that'll fill you up with the first half, but you'll want to keep eating the second half, because it's so good. The staff is so nice and it's Boston, low key all around. I'd like to officially put my bid in for the seasonal Korean "Good for the Seoul" BBQ sandwich to find a home on the permanent menu. It just ended in July and I am heartbroken. My taste buds are piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed to say the least. It was the sandwich that dreams are made of: soft (yet firm) seeded roll, thin fresh cooked chicken cutlets, cabbage slaw, pickled carrots, gochujang BBQ sauce and sriracha mayo. I stood in 85 humid sunny Boston heat for 20-25 min for it. Yes, it's that good. It's heaven on a bun! I've gotten the Drunken Parm, the Hogan, and the Caprese as well. All solid and delicious. I've never gotten one I didn't like. They are pleasant and open to customizing them as well. i.e. no lettuce, extra onion, BBQ on the side. I'm also not sure how, but Thomas the cashier remembers my name every time. That's SO impressive. Oddly, some of the best sandwiches we had in Italy came from a gas station travel plaza on the way from Rome to Florence. We haven't found a similar sandwich in the US ... until here. The meats are sliced fresh and all the sandwiches are made by hand. You have a lot of choices ... and the menu is odd. It stretches from one end of the ordering counter to the other ... it's so long that it's difficult to read the choices at the beginning of the sign. We got the Paradiso, which is made with Mortadella (imagine a thin-sliced bologna) with pistachio cream. Thoughts on the sandwich: Size: - This is one of those places which gives you too much sandwich. I'd come back more often if the sandwiches were $10 - $12 for a single portion. Honestly, the sandwiches here could probably feed two people ... which is fine because it allowed us to split it. However, if I am getting lunch for myself, I don't want to pay double and take a half home. Ingredients: - The best part of the sandwich was the foccacia bread. It was crisp but light ... had a little bit of oil on it and it was dense enough to fill you up. Slightly salty. - The mortadella was high quality ... but at the end of the day, $20 for a bologna sandwich is tough. Also, I was a little surprised at how thin of a layer they put on for the price. - Pistachio/Cream ... Very sweet, I felt like I would have liked a little more savory to balance it out. The sandwich was very pistachio forward and that was the predominant taste. I'd have liked the mortadella to stand out more. Overall, you won't find a sandwich as similar to what you'd get in Italy anywhere else. This place is a bit over hyped in my opinion but the sandwiches are pretty authentic to what you'd find in Italy. Upon Entering there was already a line two people before me. 1 waiting for food and the other waiting to order. The workers were busy making subs. and it took about 5 min before the 1st guy got his food, the 2nd guy ended up leaving ordering nothing. After he got his food I waited another 11 minutes just standing there, every so often an employee would look at me and one finally said they would be right with me. over 10 minutes is too long. I thought maybe they have a lot of online orders? Another person came in after me and during my wait period to order he ended up leaving as well after 7 minutes. I used to actually own a sub shop in Plymouth a few decades ago that got very busy. If there is a long line of people coming in, take the order right away so they can just wait for the food. people dont tend to wait so long as I did and you lose money. This will keep them there. One issue I had was one of the workers a female was sweating profusely while making the food. dripping from her forehead down her nose and hitting the table. Her shirt had sweat all on it. I got a different employee that made my food thankfully , but I keep thinking about this and dont want to go back, this is a food safety issue. Its disgusting to be honest. This was my first time going there and I am a local. I think the sub variety looks good on the board but it took way to long to get the food. after ordering it was another 10 minutes. so altogether around 27 or so minutes. Becketts right around the corner very fresh subs and only takes less than 5 to order and get the food out, they are also busy all the time but much more efficient and friendly.
