10/10 Recommend!! My first time there and it won't be the last. Milkweed did not disappoint! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, everything was so delicious! I got an egg, ham, bacon, sausage, and French toast breakfast. Idk what it is but their food just tastes so fresh. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot in Boston, this place is definitely worth checking out just be mindful that it's on street parking and might be tough around that area. Otherwise it's so worth it.
Classic brunch flavors in a bustling environment. We got the Morning Madness and Corned Beef Hash + Eggs. Both dishes were flavorful and hefty. We just wish the french toast in the madness would have been sweeter and the potatoes in the hash more crispy. It's a very popular neighborhood spot so keep that in mind. Would come back!
On a clear, sunny day, after visiting the Isabella Museum, I thought I'd find a brunch spot nearby. Shakshuka: The portions were huge, still bubbling hot when it arrived; the meatballs were firm, slightly coarse, and very satisfying; the runny egg was delicate and tempting; the bread had a slightly crispy crust from being pan-fried, while the inside was incredibly soft and delicate, like a cake, perfect for dipping in the sauce. Everything was perfect, except... it was incredibly sour, almost pungent. The sauce was just pure canned tomato flavor, and the pickled peppers were also extremely sour, with a hint of spiciness that made the flavor even more intense. I guess I just couldn't get used to it, as a Chinese; but I'll respect this seasoning, as it's very common in the West. After taking it home, I reheated it with sugar, black pepper, butter, and Parmesan cheese, and mixed with pasta--it instantly felt much smoother and more delicious! The restaurant's decor was simple and rustic, with natural-colored wooden tables that looked gentle and warm in the sunlight. I really liked it.
i really love milkweed!! i've been here a couple times and the food and service is always good. this time i got the pumpkin pancake special and i would definitely recommend to get into the fall spirit!! i'll definitely be back again :)
Good food, fresh, generous portions especially the shashutka. Also their home made muffins are warm and tasty.

We walked up and despite it being totally packed only had to wait ~20 minutes, which was great! We got the Morning Madness and Lucky Charms pancakes. The madness was great. The eggs were fluffy, the sausage was juicy, and the french toast somehow cut the intensity of a plate of meat. And it felt like a really great deal at $20. The pancakes were buttery and fluffy. The lucky charms didn't come through as much as we hoped, but it was still quite good. It was a tad loud and smelled like smoke in and off, but it didn't end us boring us much. Overall I definitely recommend. We only got 2 things but every plate around us looked equally delicious!
Amazing brunch this morning at Milkweed in Mission Hill! It has been years since I had been to this spot but I've been wanting to come back and the timing finally worked out. The space is very popular so there was a wait but there is a great park across the street. We were sat at the chefs counter which is always my favorite! We got to see so many of the dishes prepared and waiting for pickup. Extreme props to the back of house staff who were hauling today and it was great to watch them at work! Service was great and the food was incredible. I had the Shakshuka with meatball served with crusty bread. It was packed with flavor and I literally could've licked the pan clean. We also shared a chocolate chip pancake and my partner had traditional sausage and eggs - all cooked perfectly. A final shout-out to their iced pumpkin coffee, just the right amount and not overpowering with the pumpkin flavor. We will definitely be back, hopefully for dinner sometime soon!
I had the traditional french toast and a coffee with almond milk. The coffee was standard and the french toast was really good! There was a good serving of butter on top which was enough for each layer. The service was timely, and the staff were very nice and attentive. Overall, a lovely breakfast experience!
We tried the dutch baby pancake, bacon & avocado scramble, and salmon cakes, and everything was solid. Good portion sizes and a nice variety on the menu with both sweet and savory options. The only downside was definitely the wait. It took about an hour to get seated and have food ready for lunch, so I would recommend planning ahead if you are going during busy hours.
Meh. I was excited for this place and it was a bit of a thud. Start with the good: good service, good Americano. I asked for tips between the Cuban and fried chicken sandwiches, and the waiter confidently recommended the chicken. "Great," thought I. No. No, not at all. It wasn't bad, but this was an airport-tier chicken sandwich, overcooked beyond moistness and then half-rescued by a good slaw. Surely fries will save it? Nah. The fries were also lifeless and overcooked, starchy. I wanted to like this place. They were so nice! I also saw other people with what looked like tasty plates. I wouldn't bother again.

I ordered an iced chai latte which was a bit weak and my sister ordered their speciality Lucky Charms latte which was good. To eat, I got the avocado toast which came with potatoes. It was all a bit bland to me, no seasoning on anything. My sister ordered a bacon egg and cheese croissant which was very greasy. I would be open to coming back and trying something else.

A busy place for brunch in Mission Hill! If you are going for a weekend brunch, there will definitely be a wait - my friend and I waited about 20 to 30 minutes for a table on a Sunday at around 11:00. But I do think the wait is worth! We split the berry pancakes and the two eggs any style and chose bacon as the breakfast meat. Well-executed, but my socks were not blown off! Perhaps I need to try some of their more innovative dishes, I would love to come back and try their shakshuka. At Milkweed, the service is quick and simple. We sat outside so can't speak for the inside ambiance but it was great getting some vitamin D in before winter kicks in. read more

What a FANTASTIC breakfast spot! Came here on a Sunday for breakfast and what a treat! Started off with their fluffernutter latte and their lavender matcha latte. Both were perfect starts and very flavorful. Everything was phenomenal from their regular egg breakfast to their morning madness to their pancakes. I think their breakfast potatoes are real stars too. Perfectly crispy but soft inside. They have plenty of drink options for a boozy brunch as well. We saw everything from dates, to family breakfasts, to girlfriends boozy brunch. This place is cute and clean so it's good for any occasion. Service was fast and friendly. We came around 9:30am and it wasn't too packed which was great! I can foresee a slight wait as time progresses. read more

I was seating right away, and the server was friendly and attentive. I don't see too many place offering Dutch pancakes. I'm the only one I know that has every made these pancakes, and I can't remember that last time I've had them, so I jumped on it. They didn't disappoint, though I prefer the pancake without the lemon ricotta (I'm a purist, when it comes to some toppings). The coffee was steaming hot, and came in a huge mug. No refill needed. We beat the crowd by coming before 9:30 on a Sunday. This place is a hidden gem. I'll be back sooner then later. read more
I ordered breakfast for delivery to my Airbnb, even though the restaurant wasn't far from me. Since it was snowing in Boston, I decided to opt for delivery instead. I went with the French toast with bacon and a nice cup of hot chocolate. Unfortunately, the delivery person dropped my food off at the wrong location, despite me being very specific when I placed the order. That wasn't the restaurant's fault, though. When I finally got my food, everything was still hot--especially the hot chocolate, which was a nice touch. The only thing I'd suggest is providing more than one little syrup for the French toast. For the hefty portion I got, at least three would've been ideal. Overall, it was a delicious and enjoyable breakfast. I'll definitely be back, hopefully next time in person when I'm in Boston! read more

Overall, this is a super cute brunch spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate its large crowd. We were served quickly and efficiently all while being served with friendliness and understanding! I loved the variety of options on the menu ranging from breakfast all the way to dinner (which I definitely intend to come back and compare to their brunch), as well as classic egg scrambles to their unique dutch babies! My only complaint is that menu is pretty pricey, even for Boston, and I felt that the dishes didn't deliver on portion size or flavor in terms of their cost. However, I would still say this iconic breakfast spot is one of the best in the area and worth a try if you're nearby! read more

Great savory and sweet menu options. I ordered the steak scramble and it was an excellent portion size (I took home a doggy bag). Love the location in Mission Hill, it's right across the street from a library and playground which made for a great start to my day when we were in Boston. read more
We were attracted by the pictures posted by many other yelpers, and decided to stop in to give it a try. We were seated right away and after 5 minutes of placing an order, our order came out! I went with the Nutella and strawberry French toast and my brother went with a power bowl. The French toast was soft and had a slight crunch to it, and my brother ended up finishing his entire bowl. The food tasted super fresh and service was extremely respectful and kind. Would definitely give this location a try if you're ever in town. The food is A-mazing! read more

01/17/26 7am came in with my Mom this local spot is great! The food is quality and delicious food is prepared great! The customer service is on point, staff is friendly and attentive. This is our go to spot for breakfast in the morning! The place is welcoming and has a a wholesome vibe! The chef can cook their ass off! No complaints with the food here! I had the morning madness and my mom LOVES I means LOVES the Hash. She gets is 90% time we come her! My order was the sausage,bacon,ham and home fries and French toast. I like my sausage, ham, bacon well done it was cooed perfectly! So today I ordered a lunch item to go! Fried chicken sandwich it had slaw fresh sliced apples and the bun was fresh and side of fries to go either it, fries crispy on outside and soft inside! The chicken sandwich was phenomenal chicken was moist inside and nice crisp on the outer layer. Was very satisfied with my choice! Will have to try the dinner menu one of these days! But if you haven't been here you need to, you won't be disappointed! read more

I came here on a Sunday around 12 and was able to be seated within 5 minutes. Employees are very friendly. Cute restaurant. The menu had some great options. I loved the bacon avocado scramble. Solid brunch spot. read more
Fun warm atmosphere. Very nice staff. Really fun items on the menu--will try out more. The items we landed on didn't really impress. Chorizo Benedict Benedict's come with poached eggs, but these were so overdone they were hard and rubbery. Like they were microwaved for 10 minutes. And the "chipotle" hollandaise was pretty bland. Not sure how they keep their hollandaise warmed throughout breakfast, but they should check the temp to make sure it's not too hot a cooking the egg yolk while it's on the warmer. Chorizo tasted exactly like a lunchables pepperoni. It's definitely not high quality. It's low grade, over cured mystery meat with synthetic nitrates or something fake tasting. Not real chorizo. The chorizo also disappointed the Huevos Rancheros rancheros I got. The ranchero sauce was nice, and black beans with salsa roja wasn't bad. Would've liked fresh pico or more fresh ingredients than the "from the bottle" sauces they threw on top--but it would've been fine had there been a central taste to drive it all home. The chorizo just disappointed the whole dish. For the kid, we got a Side of berry pancake and a side of scrambled eggs (no kids menu but they were very nice to give us just a single pancake instead of the whole 3 stack meal) I think if we went with the other fun menu items and steered clear of the Mexican food I was hoping for when I ordered, i think it would've been a better experience. It's clear that they had something that worked at the original restaurant. And their menu has a bunch of fun creative ideas. Some of the plates I saw come out looked a little too cookie cutter, like they were pre packaged and just microwaved, but I won't judge the other dishes til I try em. Again, fun atmosphere, exciting stuff on the menu, and lovely staff. We will try em again ! read more

no there is not a parking lot or valet parking. There is on street parking that could find on Tremont Street as well as the side streets, but please read the street signs as there is street cleaning on certain days.
