Really enjoyed our lunch here. We got seated within about 10 minutes on a very busy Saturday, particularly during graduation.. We went in for a simple lunch and soft shrinks, and came in under $45. Service was great, very friendly and attentive. For a casual restaurant I thought this was very good quality and I would eat there again. Of particular notice, they chicken sandwich and the veggie burger came on these nearly picture perfect buns--Something that often gets pounced on and smashed in the kitchen. Kudos for bun integrity!

I really liked their burgers! I see why it's been on some top burger lists. I got the capital burger - which had a toasted Gruyère cheese and onions on top. I swapped fries for salad as my side, although the fries looked good. Cesar salad was ok, not as fresh as I wanted it to be. Service was great and fast. Overall, I plan to come back here for my burger fix as I'm on Newbury street, and will get the fries next time.

Things I loved about The Capital Burger: very convenient location and great walkability to shopping on Newbury St. The outside eating area is very cute, located in a little downstairs alcove with umbrella-covered tables and a cozy feel. Things that could use a little help: Customer service was slightly stand-offish from our server. However the manager came to our table to chat and ask about the food, and he was very nice. Service in general was slow, it took quite a while for even our drinks and appetizers to come out. Our server didn't check to see if we needed drink refills; she didn't check on us at all really. As far as my meal, I enjoyed my fries, but the veggie burger was lacking in flavor. I've had better at Burger King to be honest. Overall, I don't think I would return to The Capital Burger. There are so many places to try on Newbury Street!

Hands down one of the best burger spots in Boston! From the moment we arrived, Michael, the general manager, made sure we were taken care of. He personally assisted when there was almost an issue, handled it with professionalism, and got us seated in a timely manner. You can tell he truly cares about both his guests and his staff such a rare quality to see. The food? Incredible. The burger was juicy, packed with flavor, and that melted cheese was everything rich, gooey, and perfectly balanced. Even the cider was amazing crisp, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal. We loved the upstairs area and the interior decor cozy yet modern, with such a good vibe. If you're in the area, you have to stop by. Just make sure to reserve your spot, because there's usually a wait... but trust me, it's 100% worth it

Whether you're in Boston for work or pleasure you can't go wrong eating at The Capital Burger. It has everything you expect - including a full beer menu, pub seats and large portions. There isn't too much of a choice to be had here; chances are you're ordering their Capital Burger and just deciding whether you want their standard fries or covered in smoked Gouda. Because the upcharge for the cheese fries is pretty reasonable (+$4) I opted in and was glad I did. The fries are well-salted (without being overly so) and pair well with the cheese. Combined with the burger and obligatory beer you'll probably feel like taking a nap afterwards but that's not necessarily a bad thing. My bartender/server was friendly and checked-in frequently and I was greeted quickly and warmly by the hostess when entering. Overall a classic spot for a reason and one you can't really go wrong in trying.

I am very picky about my burgers. I want fresh, authentic burgers, not a chain, cookie cutter one. The Capital Burger was unique & delicious. I highly recommend The Capital Burger.

The Capital Burger - $23 as of 3/2025

First time here and we definitely enjoyed our experience. Right from the get go, we really enjoyed their complimentary pickles. Great crunch and nice dill flavor. They even gave us some to go when we told them how much we enjoyed it! Items we ordered as of 3/2025: - Fried Calamari - $16 - Very good calamari. Perhaps not the best we've had but they were perfectly crispy and fresh. Quantity is perfect for 2 people. - The Capital Burger - $23 - Very good burger. Cooked as requested (med rare) and that Gruyere cheese perfectly meshes with the juiciness of the burger. We would order this again. - Bacon Cheeseburger - $22 - I enjoyed this one quite a bit as I enjoy some sweet tanginess in my burgers. Cheese is perfectly melted and the burger again was cooked to the correct temperature. Very juicy. If you like those typical "BBQ" burgers I'd give this one a go. - Parmesan Truffle Fries - $9 - We really enjoyed this. The truffle essence was very present but didn't detract from the good quality of the fries (obviously it was a truffle oil but enjoyable nonetheless). - Grapefruit soda - $4 - Wife really enjoyed the "pop" of this soda! A bit too tart for my tastes but if you like grapefruit juice in general you'd love this. Overall we were quite happy with our meal. Service was also prompt and polite.

As usual, this place was phenomenal! Brought my dear friend for her first Capital Burger and as usual, they did not disappoint!! Isaiah, our server, was terrific and we will be back!

i've been meaning to try it here as i love the capital grille locations and it had been recommended, however i'm not the biggest burger fan. i saw they had a nice patio area and decided to finally try it. the host seated me, and then it took 25 minutes for my server to acknowledge me. he greeted and brought waters and pickles to a couple who arrived about 10 minutes after me. after waiting 25 minutes, i placed my order, and my food and mint lemonade arrived in about 7 minutes, which was a plus. if you're looking for capital grille-esque service, this is not even close. however, i do give them points for the quick food arrival. server was kind, but how do you not acknowledge someone for over 10 minutes, nevermind 20? there were about 4-5 tables packing up to leave. the burger was filled with toppings, however there was no salt in the burger nor on the table. i felt the tomato slices could be a bit smaller too as it made everything slide off pretty easily. overall decent, but not at all what i expected from the name. capital burger 6/10 caesar salad 7.2/10 mint lemonade 8.5/10 i'd maybe come back for a salad. ambiance: 3.8/5 food: 3.2/5 drinks: 4/5 service: 2/5 the capital burger: 2/5 (one star removed for 25 minute unnecessary wait)

Capital burger is awesome Gotta get it with side of Smoked Gouda fries and the Brussels sprouts are best in Boston! Beer is ice cold

If you're a Capital Grille fan, you will def be a Capital Burger fan! Everything this company does is golden, and their burgers and appitizers are next level. Set in a English Pub style decor, the food is outstanding. 5/5 Kung Po Brussel Sprouts sounds like a wacky name but the dish was one of my all time favorites. 5/5 Fried Calamari was another huge winner...quality was very fresh and made from scratch, nothing like you'd get from a bar. 5/5 Edamame was another amazing app...really done just right if you've had this before. 5/5 Burger...need I say more?

We also spent an hour at the King Tut exhibit across the street! This restaurant/bar always seems packed. And, with reservations for 645pm (highly recommend) the bar was quite busy. The buzz from this high-end cocktail bar is exactly what you want on a Friday evening; From girlfriends sipping their wine to couples laughing and swirling their cocktails, Moon Bar is for the classy and sexy. Abby our server is excellent! A mixologist who knows all the cocktails and can recommend based on your preference. I tried one of their new cocktails with bourbon and did not care for it. Abby made me my mezcal drink that I have ordered before...its the 305 cowboy, an extremely popular drink. A must try for sure! Note: Some bartenders make you feel guilty for saying something about a drink you ordered and did not like. But, here at Moon Bar, Abby was so gracious to make me something that I will enjoy. Hats off to her:) Food: Since it was restaurant week we just shared everything. For starters we ordered the Tuna Tartare that was excellent. Then, we had Piri-Piri Chicken Thighs that were also good but quite spicy. For dessert, we shared the Caribbean Tiramisu, which was great. It was a tough choice between this and the Guava Cheesecake. We were so full that we ended up bringing home leftovers. Oh, I also forgot to mention we always order their Curry Fries - a must try when coming here Trust Me. My husband doesn't love curry but he loves these fries and you will too. #friesaretodiefor Moon Bar, thanks for being amazing in every way. In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
