My mom loves a good burger and this is located next to the hotel we were staying. We both ordered the backyard burger and it was as expected. It was like a burger you get on the grill when you're grilling out at home. It was a basic burger with American cheese, bread and butter pickles, and thinly sliced red onions with mayo on the side. It also comes with fries, but you can sub for another side for a fee, my mom ordered onion rings. Unfortunately they didn't arrive hot, but they tasted ok. Not overly battered and the onion stayed in the "ring", the fries were basic frozen fries that arrived piping hot, which helped the taste, but overall the fries I could do without. If ever in Boston, try this place out. Our waitress was nice and checked on us every chance she could get, as for ambience. It can get loud, you can sit by the window and ppl watch as well. read more

I Really hate having to write this review. I've watched Ramsays for decades on tv and when I found out he opened a Restaurant in Boston near where my wife works I was very interested. However... Upon entering you go through a rotating door, was thinking- if you have a walker or something would be hard to get through. When inside there was no one to greet us for quite awhile, The woman finally showed up and told another girl to seat us who seemed to have no iedea what was going on so the woman that told her to seat us did it herself. When walking to the table very obvious there was not many people in the restaurant just 2 people. It was around 3 pm with a ton of people outside everywhere walking. A lot of tables inside had leftover plates that people had already eaten from yet not cleaned. Quite a few employees but nobody looking busy, nobody cleaning. The booth we where given as we sat down instantly we saw how dirty the booth and table was. The booth had white stains on the backing and food all over the seat etc. The table had food on it and human hairs. Not head hairs, the pant variety, I am not even joking. If there is ONE rule I have about eating out it is cleanliness, if the booth you are sitting at is dirty, ect, it doesn't give me confidence that the plates they will put the food on will be 100% clean either. regardless to say we got up and left, told the server we were leaving. No food for us. If this was on kitchen nightmares or one of Ramsays shows he would definitely have said something and been irritated/concerned. Being his own restaurant was quite the shock. For how much the food costs, around 20+ a burger youd think the place would be clean. Grossed me out. We ended up going to the original Pizzaria Regina's where we waited in line for about an hour to get a table, Table was very clean, waitresses were spot on and the food was amazing, if anything glad Ramsays was a Sh** show or we would never have gone to Regina's. Not a good impression, maybe I can try some other Ramsays restaurant one day but most likely wont be back to this one read more

Burgers were enormous and tasty, milkshake also gigantic and well done. Cool spot at the corner of a hotel, the space feels like a place you can enjoy not sterile like many namesake restaurants. Friendly and attentive service, great food, and no wait. You can't really ask for more than that! We ordered the beef wellington burger, and it was absolutely delicious. We went to Gordon Ramsay Burger for my birthday and honestly this was the best burger I've ever had. The burger was cooked exactly how I ordered it (which weirdly almost never happens) the mushroom sauce was perfection, and the fries were that perfect mix of crispy but still actually taste like potatoes. Our server was really nice too. He actually chatted with us while we were waiting for the rest of our family to arrive, and when I mentioned it was my birthday he surprised me with a milkshake! I didn't expect that and it honestly made my night a little extra special. The food also came out faster than I expected, especially since it was busy and well - Boston. Good location, never packed; I live and work nearby so stop in regularly. Employees from my company also regularly have meetings here. The food and prices are fine for what you get and better than McDonalds, in line with a good Shake Shack but with silverware. The regular backyard burger is the best imo, and it's nearly always cooked correctly. If the service were better and more consistent this location would be closer to 4 stars--hit or miss depending on which wait staff you get, some are great, most are OK, a couple are awful. One visit the waiter spent the entire meal chatting and serving the booth literally next to ours while walking by us, not refilling drinks, had to flag him down for things like the check etc.; we also had the pleasure of hearing him inform that customer he likes to comp an item or two every night and that he had chosen their table as a "lucky" recipient. Again, I'm a regular, pay with a corporate card and tip generously etc. but I feel bad if this were another customer's first/only experience. read more

After a nice tour of the bay we stopped to have a lunch at Gordon Ramsay's burger joint. When we walked in there was one couple in the restaurant and no one to greet us. We stood for a couple minute then I walked into the kitchen to find someone to seat us. The server gave us menus then stood and talked with the bartender for 4-5 minutes. At this time it was getting comical, so we just sat and waited ... for water...and to place our order. Good news - the burger, fries and shake were great. I did have to walk back to the kitchen again where I found our server talking with the kitchen staff...I asked for our check. It's a nice bar atmosphere and the food was good. I really wish I could share something else redeeming. With the many restaurants in Boston, I seriously doubt I would give them a second chance. read more

Reading previous reviews I was skeptical. Once inside I was 100% able to make my own choice! The hostess was nice and pleasant and greeted us and seated us immediately. We had made a reservation to be on the safe side. We both got very different orders. My husband got the bbq bacon burger with an upgrade to truffle fries. I got the Idiot burger with regular fries. I also got a cocktail called the Eastside which was very heavy on the lime. Our waiter was very attentive. Atmosphere was nice. I don't like eating in the dark so that was meh for me but they do bring little lights to your table to add a little more light. For the price we paid and the taste of the food it was 100% appropriate and felt like we could tip well as well. Plus was it was right around the corner from our hotel the Bostonian. Wish I was a bigger fan of this place. Food: I got the truffle burger and my boyfriend got the euro burger. I asked for medium and it was more medium well, and my boyfriend asked for medium rare and it was brown as pictured. We asked the waitress for it to be remade but came out the same way sadly. We thankfully got offered a free dessert and got the brownie sundae which was very yummy. Sadly this place is expensive with it almost costing $20 for a burger and no side. The truffle fries were $12 but worth it. The burger was also good although being overcooked. Service: It felt like our server ignored us for half the time, we were on the rooftop section so maybe she was serving other people downstairs but wished we had another server. We saw another mor attentive server and wished he was our server since it was hard to get our own servers attention. Interior: super cute interior and on a nice day would be nice to be in a place where the windows opened and we could see the nearby area. In a very quick trip to Boston, my husband was adamant that we tried the Gordon Ramsay burger. It was a busy evening in Boston and so there is a short wait at the restaurant, but then we were led upstairs to their covered patio. The space was really nice and as we browse the menu, our waiter took our drink order. We both selected a beer on draft. Our server was nice and he brought our drinks quickly. We then both ordered our burgers. The burgers had good toppings and I liked the bun. The burger itself was nothing crazy but overall enjoyable. Old Stinky P was kind of looking for something different than the frequent Pizza, Thai or Chinese today. He was always curious about what the charming and lovable Chef Ramsay was offering up at his burger restaurant. Tapped up delivery on the interweb and chose the Bleu Cheese burger. Came fairly quickly and was well packed. Fries were just ok and burger was very large. Ordered it medium but it came medium well to well. The toppings were plentiful and just a bit too busy, especially the Onions. Tasting the burger without the toppings was not a lot better because there was not too much taste to it. Of course that could be because it was overcooked. Stinky was kind of sad because he loves a wicked pissah burger. He may consider ordering again from his favorite chef in hopes it is cooked the way it was ordered and will try a different type of burger. I should have known something was wrong when I walked in at 6pm on a Celtics game night and the place was empty while every surrounding restaurant was packed. That empty dining room was not a coincidence. It was a preview. Service was aggressively mediocre. Staff appeared only to take orders and deliver food, then disappeared entirely. There was no checking in at any point, even though the restaurant was far from busy. We repeatedly needed basic things and had to scan the room like stranded passengers just to get someone's attention. The wings were anemic, easily the smallest I have ever been served. The fried pickles were mushy and sad, less fried and more boiled-adjacent. The Caesar salad was the most confusing offense. Creativity is fine, but if you are going to call something a Caesar, it needs at least a passing resemblance to one. This was spicy mayo pretending to be a dressing, with none of the elements that actually make a Caesar salad work. Burger execution did not improve matters. The cheddar was low quality and barely melted, and one of our five burgers arrived with cheese that looked like it had never met heat at all. Literally cold cheese. Burgers ordered medium rare came out fully rare, which might be acceptable if it was intentional. It was not. Fries arrived completely unseasoned. That would normally be fine except there was no salt or pepper on the table. It then took five full minutes to flag someone down to ask for it, in a non-full dining room. Drinks were delivered without napkins or coasters, leaving the table soaked from condensation. A straw for a soda was requested three separate times and never arrived. Maybe still on its way? The prices are comparable to what you would pay at places like Capital Grill, yet the quality and service are nowhere close. That contrast is hard to ignore and even harder to forgive. The dining room itself is actually very nice. The upholstery, lighting, and decor are well done and polished. In a different part of the city it would feel appropriate. Sitting near TD Garden, however, it felt oddly disconnected from its surroundings. Not every restaurant needs to drown itself in Boston sports memorabilia, but this one felt like it did not quite understand where it was. For a restaurant carrying the name Gordon Ramsay, the experience was shockingly forgettable. By the end of the meal, the empty dining room made perfect sense, and it would not shock me at all if this place is shuttered within a year. read more

Gordon should do a restaurant nightmares episode in his own restaurant because it Carries his name but he should be ashamed. No hostess, no bartender one waiter and multiple staff who were dressed like managers in suits and name tags. I sat at the bar for 5 min looked around saw no one working went to ask the hostess no one there. So I asked the guy in a Ramsay chef coat and the manager lady next to him if the bar is closed. They were rude in response. She said "she's holding a phone she's on the phone." I wasnt holding it to my ear it was just in my hand. Also the portions have remarkably shrunk. The tiniest side of $12 fries I've ever bought. They also initially brought no sauces for my truffle fries. The portion for Chardonnay is also in a much smaller glass it's a small pour. This place is cutting corners. The Parmesan on the truffle parm fries was smaller than a quarter maybe closer to a nickel size worth. Just get the normal fries. It's empty for a reason. The manager was playing hostess and waitress but was unfriendly. She is a middle eastern looking woman? The QR codes also don't work for the bill but they have them on every table and bar seat. To be able to use them you still have to flag down a server (good luck) to have them add it to the qr system. Many restaurants do qr bills and they're consistently updated/part of the POS. Guess Ramsay can't afford that tech. Overall better serving sizes and quality and variety at shake shack down the street and that's saying something -they even have beer and wine and better variety! And they're fast food. but this is nothing special and overpriced to not even include the soggy fries in the cost of a burger. Idk if that's normal in the UK but it isn't here. I've been wanting to try a ramsay burger in a few cities I've visited, but just never made it to one of them. I got the breakfast burger, which is a beef patty, egg, hash brown, bacon and cheese. It definitely lived up to the hype and was easily in my top 3 burgers of all time. So having been to several Ramsay establishments this one is last. To get service was slow. 30 mins to get water and take the drink order is well below par. Then the order was disappointing as the burger ordered medium was rare (see pic) and came late. The food was below standard of any burger joint never mind a Ramsay restaurant. Also they might have wanted to turn on the heat as the place was stone cold. In all I would not recommend the place unless you dont have a choice. Lots of better places at the Marketplace. read more
