7th street totally lived up to the hype in my opinion as a great casual spot for a late night bite! The classic smash burger was crisp, juicy, and i loveddd the signature 7th street sauce. I also appreciated that it was only 6.50 for a quality cheeseburger - not very often you find that in boston! I also got the loaded fries which i LOVED - a bit more on the expensive side ($12) but worth it. They were loaded with onions, SPICY jalapenos, and cheese! Service was nice! Worth a try.

Never heard of this chain before, but I guess it's nyc's version of In-N-Out. It's quite good! Tried their burger (I found it funny that they only add one individual pickle per burger), and their loaded fries (similar to animal fries but they add a lot of burger meat--probably more calories than the burger itself). Wait time is crazy. It's like 20-30 minutes per order. If you have the time, I'd say do it! Seating is limited at certain times of the day. Came once in the afternoon and we shared a table with strangers. Came another time before closing, and there were a few tables open. When busy, the line extends outside on the sidewalk. Not sure how long the hype will last, but overall, if I have time to waste and I'm feeling patient, would come through again

New burger joint on the block and it was no miss despite the reviews for this location! I will say if I were to only judge the fries I would pass on dining in. They gave us a ball park style fry and you can surely tell it was fried in canola oil. As for the burger it satisfied the smash craving. We have had tons of smash burgers and this one does not place but it will do the trick! If you're in the area snag yourself a double! Service was great and the cashier was very kind! It must of been mutual feeling since we noticed on the recipe that our sauce was comped for "acts of kindness". That was a GREAT DETAIL and more of reason to post a positive review! Loved the vibe inside and whoever was DJ we appreciated the R&B hits! It was a vibe

Welcome to Boston 7th Street Burger! It's open for late night burgers right in the heart of Back Bay, on Newbury Street. We went right before closing and the place was PACKED. We ordered and after I paid was told 30 minute wait, yikes. It ended up being longer. From the looks of it they make burgers in batches but for some reason were behind. I figured it's new so I'll give it some grace. We ended up waiting almost an hour for two double cheeseburgers and fries. Their menu is simple, a single or double smashburger, fries, and drinks. I think you can customize your items like get loaded fries but they don't advertise it on the menu from what I saw. You can also substitute for vegan or vegetarian patties. The food itself was good. The burger was tasty, super greasy but good. I liked the grilled onions on it and the sauce. The crispy fries too were good, were a little cold but I think from the waiting. It's simple and straightforward, which makes it old-fashioned feeling. No over the top menu, and reasonable prices. I'm giving it some grace as I think there are some operational kinks to work out, but I'd be curious to come back after a little while and see how it's doing then. I do think this is a good addition to Newbury St, and the Southie location will open in just a few short days, April 6, 2026! Also beware google says it closes at midnight but they were turning people away at 11pm.

I was worried about the wait after seeing the reviews, but the food came out pretty quickly (within 15 mins of ordering). I enjoyed the food and would come back if there wasn't a long wait!

    The fries are really good.

I'm rating the food...which I thought the burger and fries were very good. Their system of ordering and pickup is absolutely horrible. They need to have an ordering area and a separate pickup spot. We had to fight for a table. Recommendations: go at an off time, try to find a seat while you wait. They also need to move the boxes of food/beverages in the front area so people can stand to wait for their orders. Delicious burger though!

I was vacationing in Boston and out for a walk through the city when we stumbled upon a long line for 7th street. We asked people waiting in line about it and they told us it was a new spot, only opened for about a week, and everyone wanted to try it because it's supposed to be a east coast In N Out vibe burger? So we got in line. The line moved pretty quickly. The inside is quite small with not a lot of tables, but everyone did a really good job of eating quickly and moving on. It probably took about 15 minutes to place our order from the line and then another 25 minutes after we ordered to get our food. They did however let us know that they were new and it would be a 30 minute wait for the food, which we didn't mind at all, and appreciated them giving us the heads up. The food was good. Burger doesn't compare to In N Out in my opinion, because I'm from California, and In N Out is elite in my opinion. But it was good. Different but good. The fries though, 10 out of 10! The right kind of crispy and seasoned to perfection. They also offer coke in a bottle, and I mean who doesn't appreciate that? Haha. Overall, it's definitely worth a try!

It's like an improved in n out clone and that's a great thing. The double cheeseburger is the perfect size. The burger comes standard with their sauces (animal style) Other than that the menu is really just fries. I would make the fries "loaded" which basically makes them animal style and they throw a burger on top of the fries. Getting them spicy with the jalapeños was good too. This is my new favorite smash burger.

I loved the smash burger the sauce was so good. The loaded fries were amazing too. Normal service. It's Boston so the environment outside was great.

Best burger I have ever had. Would eat 10 of these. Would eat again definitely. Fries are crispy, burger is perfect, sauce is flavorful.

These days, everywhere you go, places are charging around $20 for a burger. More often than not, they disappoint at that price point. And some don't even come with fries for that price! But that's where we are. I ordered the Capital Burger for $23. It was arguably the best burger I've had in my life. Like a French onion soup infused burger. The taste was delectable, the quality top notch, and cooked to perfection. And yes, it came with fries. Finally, a burger worth the hefty price places charge nowadays. Wife had the Ribeye Steak Sandwich which was flavorful and plentiful, as we brought half home for lunch the next day. And surprisingly, the wine list is VERY reasonably priced. Again, if you eat out often, you know the prices for a glass of wine have risen beyond ridiculous the last couple of years. So appreciate this place for not price gouging.

My Smoked Bacon Old Fashioned with bacon infused Woodford Reserve bourbon, maple syrup, Bitters and candied bacon started my dinner with a home run cocktail. Immediately brought to our table were a round of waters and a small mason jar of their in-house made pickles - ever so slightly sweet and well balanced. Hubs eyes are always bigger than his stomach so for starters he ordered Smoked Gouda Cheese fries with chopped Poblano Peppers, Eggs & Bacon deviled eggs with candied bacon and a cup of New England Clam Chowder. They were all very good. Their menu features 5 creative beef burgers and one in house made vegetarian burger. My Capital Burger was a delicious layering of caramelized onions, Wisconsin Gruyère and shallot aioli - so good! I opted for the side of mixed greens side salad with vinaigrette and it was light and fresh. Fernando was a rock star server and made great recommendations. We will return when in Boston again!!

Nothing to write home about, but adequate. Onion rings were excellent. I've never had rings with whatever they used to fry it in, but it was fantastic. Truffle fries were great, as were the dipping sauces. My daughter liked her burger (she got the Hell's Kitchen Burger, sans avocado), medium rare. She's a tiny thing and usually can't eat an entire burger, but she inhaled the whole thing. The Bad: I am apparently very naive - I thought the vegan burger was something they made in house and was interested to taste the combo of veggies they use. Nope. It was just that over-processed, disgusting Beyond Burger, with terrifyingly oversalted tomatoes and lettuce. I have never looked forward to something and subsequently been so let down. I took it back to the hotel because I saw ducks and thought I'd feed them the bun. Service: was fine. He was sweet and was attentive. Ambiance: fine. It was upscale burger decor. I think I'd recommend going once just for the sake of saying I went to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. But be aware one alcoholic beverage, one non-alcoholic beverage, and two burgers set me back $100 (including tip). I would not go back again though. It was not worth $100. But at least now I know I don't need to visit the Chicago one!

From start to finish, we had an amazing experience here. We ate here on Sunday. They open at 11:30am. We got in line around 11:00 am, and there were already dozens of people waiting in line for them to open . Around opening time, the owner came out and personally greeted everyone as they came into the restaurant. He was so friendly. He greeted passers-by on the street and talked with the locals. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. They provided recommendations and offered suggestions. We sat at a window table and were able to see out at the boats. It was cute and quaint inside! I got a cup of the clam chowder. I 100% recommend it! They add dill and omit the pork, which made it so delicious! My friend and I split the fish and chips, and it was more than enough for two people. The fish was cooked perfectly and the fries (chips) were crispy without being too crunchy. We added a bit of pepper to our fish, and my goodness does that make a difference. If you visit Boston, want an awesome local establishment with delicious food and overly friendly staff, this is the place for you. This was my third visit to Boston and I'm so sad I didn't know about it sooner. It's a MUST.
