Stopped by Boston Burger Company and had a great experience overall! The service was friendly, quick, and really made us feel taken care of. The burgers were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor--definitely lived up to the hype. And the shakes... absolutely amazing and a must-try! Only downside is the seating--it's a bit tight and can feel cramped, especially during busy times. But honestly, the food and service more than make up for it. Would definitely come back! read more

Late Night 10pm-12:30am every day in the week. $3 & $3 = one hell of a late night time Saw the "Late Night" announcement on their IG... oh why did it take me so long to see it??!! Thanks Paul! Delicious Smash Burgers, BBC style paired with a nice cold PBR as a late night treat. Simple yet very satisfying. Other options as well should you'd like to combo up or decide to stick with the classic offering. Regular menu stops at 10pm but we were lucky enough to sneak in an order of their famous mozzarella sticks. Filled with so much cheese it stretches. And also, jumbo size! So be warned. Now that Late Night at BBC is known, we will be making it a regular date night from time to time, whenever the craving for burgers comes about. read more

Boston Burger Company absolutely lived up to the hype. Seeing Guy Fieri on the wall and smelling the food, we knew we were in the right place--and it delivered. The "Veramonster" Smash Burger was unreal (honey mayo, apples, caramel, bacon/cheddar. I love seafood , so I had to try their clam "chowda", which had crispy bacon on top. For $8, the cup have been a lot bigger.‍ The sampler sealed it for me, though. It came with tenders, mac & cheese balls, pulled pork/ mac & cheese egg rolls, and homemade chips...which were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. Would 100% go back. read more

Aww man! Late night eat spot known for its generous portions unique burgers, shakes, and loaded fries. It's good for groups, usually packed but easy to get a table. Very reminiscent of a college dining room, not really the spot if your looking for privacy but let's be honest we're hear to ogle frappes. Honestly, one of the the most unique milkshake/frappe blends in the region unless your gonna hall your fat azz down to Elm Street Diner in Connecticut but let's be honest. It was hard enough just walking in. The service was quick and efficient. The waiters will always run down a list of special themed frappe burgers and fries when you come in. But even as recovering big backs it was super difficult for two of us to finish a Dough My Goodness Frappe and the clam Chowder Loaded fries. Can't really go wrong with your pick. Prices pretty consistent with the first time I found it. Enjoy! read more

What's better than a late night smashburger for $3 and a PBR for $2?! Boston Burger Company offers this deal from 10:30pm to 12:30am and prices like this are hard to come by. You can get all you can eat smash burgers dine-in, and let me tell you, they're good!!!!! The sauce that comes on it is so yummy. Burgers are smaller so you could eat 2 if you're hungry. Lots of students come here and they had the PATS game playing so it was deff a vibe! read more

Came here for the $3 smash burgers after 10pm and this place did not disappoint. I'd recommend getting there early -- tables filled up very quick even for a weekday night. Servers were nice and got our orders sent out fast. I was expecting the burgers to be of lesser quality considering the price, but they were so delicious. While it wasn't any crazy new flavor I haven't tasted before at a burger joint, every ingredient (especially the sauce!) was great. I would've wished for the buns to have been toasted more, but that didn't stop me from eating four of them. Definitely a spot I would come back to when visiting Boston for a late night meal and vibey bar-like atmosphere. read more

Overall: this is a review for BBC late night and I must say it's not bad! Food: $3 smash burgers come with only buns, patties, pickles, smash sauce, and maybe some onions. It's a very minimalist burger but not quite as small as a slider. Requires a drink to order it but it's not a bad deal if you want a top off at 10pm. The 6 chicken tenders for $12 is really not bad tho. The tenders are not your typical fast food tenders and seem like real chicken tenders. They have a bit of juice and are well fried to crispy. The sauce it comes with a pretty good. Lastly their fries are in between regular fries and steak fries. A little more potato in your average fry but not too much potato so as to get soggy. Ambience/Decor/Service: fairly quick service, no fuss, and fairly busy at late night. The interior design maintains the old diner look without the 70s diner colors paying homage instead to the Harvard crimson. Very good choice! read more

I was happy to have trued this iconic burger spot. Cool spot, and we went off-peak hours, so we got a good booth. Burgers were solid; we want smash burger style. I would have a hard time not getting the Roots Burger again. We asked to try a couple sauces on the side too, that was no problem, and they were all great. The FRIES! Get the fries. They were amazing. If I were to give the restaurant feedback I'd say cut down on menu items, to find more ways to feature those fries-they were great. On a note I don't typically talk to much about: Service was great, snd super professional. I watched them de-escalate a group of Karens, who were a party of twelve, had reservations, but were upset they weren't being sat together when they arrived two hours early... read more

This is the second time I've had a Burger from this place, I have to say the best Burger I think I've ever had. I prefer to make my own burger. They do have a lot of interesting combinations but for me it's difficult to take things off and put things on, so make your own make life easier for yourself. I did try The poutine wasn't a fan. The fries were yummy but the gravy and the cheese, not my favorite. They don't offer just plain poutine fries, which I wish they did. everything was seasoned nicely not overly salty, very impressed!!! read more

We popped in because we saw the owners vid reels on socials. Had to try and must say it was worth it! Now the staff who were on the night we went were both super nice and tried to get everyone's orders and drinks out efficiently, mad house with college crowd late night. Glad we went on a Sunday, wasn't as crowded when we got there, then the groups starting flowing in. Ofc we went for their new promo specific to Cambridge's location! I must say, very impressed, for $2 you get full 1/4lb patty smash burgers with onions, pickles, cheese on a burger bun that tastes and textually almost like Hawaiian king bread that everyone knows. Plus 1000 island dressing. They were all well seasoned, easy to eat and yes we each put down 3 each (saved our stomachs for this). The strawberry shortcake the lady wanted, cake was good, not dry, and the shake was tasty tho a bit sweet for me but as long as she's happy! That strawberry shortcake cost more then our $2 burgers combined haha Either way will be coming back with more friends to this location! The bathrooms however, least tonight, were wet slippery and messy but kind of expected for the crowd that would be here later in the night. read more

Extremely disappointing experience. I showed up at 12:38 a.m., with 22 minutes left before the posted 1:00 a.m. closing time, and was refused service. If you're not going to serve customers that close to closing, then your posted hours are misleading. Either close earlier or clearly state when the kitchen stops taking orders. I made the trip expecting to get something to eat, only to be turned away while the restaurant was still supposed to be open. As a customer, that's frustrating and feels like a complete waste of time. I left hungry and disappointed. Customer service is about honoring the hours you advertise or at least communicating them clearly. Based on this experience, I can't recommend this location. read more

Their $2 smash burger deal after 10pm is awesome! ***Must buy a minimum of 1 $2 PBR per person*** Great value and the burgers are very cheesy with a good serving of thousand Island dressing, onions, and 2 pickles. They are uniform and the buns are toasted! Service is good, but they are short staffed during the hours of 10pm and 1am, I have been multiple times now and it's 1-2 people running the bar and all the tables. When it gets busy, sometimes it takes a while to be seated, put your order in, or cash out. Otherwise, it is lively and often has a lot of energy there! Just beware when the college students are around, you will be waiting since they pack the place quick! read more

Stopped here on a recommendation for a good burger. Had the Killer Bee burger which was juicy, big and dripping bbq sauce. The onion rings had a good crunchy coating while the onions were still crisp. This thing was big! Friendly staff gave some good pointers as this menu has a lot of great sounding options - cardiac stoppers (in a good way)!! We definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

Oh man, I haven't been to Boston Burger Company in a minute! I used to frequent the location in Fenway a few years ago and have not thought to go in a while. We decided to take a trip to Cambridge tonight for their $2 smash burger special that is available from 10pm-1am, daily! You do need to order a drink (doesn't have to be alcoholic) to get this deal for the burgers. ***$2 smash burgers are only offered at the Cambridge location*** We ended up ordering 6 smash burgers, a ginger ale, & a strawberry shortcake milkshake. The milkshakes from here could totally be meals themselves haha. The strawberry shortcake milkshake comes with a shortcake on top of the cup with lots of whipped cream. The smash burgers were great! Loved the cheese, onions, and pickles it came with. Much better than getting McDonald's, especially for the price of $2/each! I would definitely come back again for the smash burger deal. It cannot be beat for the price. If you need to go to the bathroom, I would avoid. The floors were very slippery because there was a bunch of water on the floor & was quite dirty. read more

They have a variety of hamburgers. I had a hamburger called a burger bomb. I sat at the bar where I was presented with a menu upon sitting down. That's one way to make sure I am there for food not just a beer. The bartender asked me if I wanted my burger smashed or traditional. Smashed is two thin patties while traditional is a thicker burger. The smashed is 5.00 more. I went with the traditional version. The burger bomb had peppers, mushrooms, onions and cheese. It was delicious and if I had the chance, I would recommend it. I also had onion rings At 10.00, I thought they were overprced. I would return again if I were in the mood for a cheeseburger. Just remember to bring your wallet. read more

Wow! The smash burgers are where it's at! Very flavorful beef! Also, shakes/cake are great!

Pretty solid burger option that I'm glad I tried, but I'm not super inclined to eat here again. The food was good, but there are better options. The bruschetta fries were really good and I liked that unique approach and variety of loaded fries! The burgers though is kind of what brings this down for me. Our server was nice, made a lot of jokes, and was super personable, but he didn't write anything down and went off memory to take our orders, causing him to forget toppings and/or give us entirely wrong sides. The burgers were still good though, we left satisfied! The food is good and all, but there are better options around. read more

Lots of variety of different burgers, but the burgers themselves were just ok. Stopped by here for a mid week dinner with my girlfriend to try out the famous Boston Burger Co. Honestly, I think for me it was just a one and done experience. The food was middle of the road, but the menu was very creative. Lots to choose from here. I will say the bathroom and the back rooms (that the bathroom is in), are not the cleanest or most organized, so I am note sure. I ordered the Big Papi burger and my girlfriend got the Burger Bomb, both in smash burger form. We had made some modifications to the burger, and the waiter did not use a notepad to write them down, and alas, not all of our modifications were honored. My burger was okay, but was missing the cheese I ordered. I also asked for a side of beans, but was given coleslaw because my girlfriend asked for coleslaw. I was brought the beans later on, and they were pretty good! Overall, I'm happy we tried it, but I think there are plenty of other tastier burger joints in the Harvard square. read more

Honestly I feel like their quality and worth has gone down a lot in the last few years. The sandwiches were just okay and the chicken sandwiches were better than the burger actually. Our server was new and she messed up one of the orders (thought was ordered the plate version instead of the sandwich version) so 2 of us got our food first and the third person had to wait another 15 minutes for her food to come out. All we got was a brief apology and so everyone else's food was cold by the time we all started eating. Plenty of seating, including outdoor seating, but it just felt a bit dingy and grungy. All in all probably won't be going back in the near future, Boston has better burgers elsewhere read more

My girlfriend and I drove from Maine to visit Boston Burger Company (Boston location, not Cambridge as listed) and brought my Scottish friend after picking him up from Logan Airport last Thursday. We loved it so much that we went back today when we took my buddy back to the airport. The first time, I got the Alpine burger which was perfect. This go round, I got the monthly special. For the life of me, I can not tell you why, but I straight up got emotional eating both burgers. I'm not even ashamed to admit that as a grown man. I don't know whether it triggered nostalgic memories or what but it was so good, it brought a grown man to tears. No wonder this place is on the Food Channel! read more

I feel like this place is a bit more gimmicky than quality food. Like they have massive milkshakes and sometimes crazy good deals. But the burgers are pretty disappointing. The patty is like a dense, thick, dry puck that's kinda unappetizing. So they have to dress it with an enormous stack of toppings. read more

Burgers were dry even though we ordered medium very plain tastes all around. Both of them. Hotdog on top extremely salty , poor quality . Coleslaw industrial. Had a fishy weird after taste. Restrooms stink. Table was sticky. Huge wide open window to street allows load street noisy sounds in. After waiting quite a while for our orders to come out one was wrong and needed replacement which again took a while. All in all not a fun nor tasty experience. First and last visit here. read more

Boston burger company is the place to go if you want an unlimited selection of burgers to choose from. The menu offers a wide range of burgers, sandwiches and appetizers to go along with frozen milkshakes that are over the top. The burgers are good size and really filling. My boyfriend always gets the 420 burger and I tried the Pilgrim. If you love a thanksgiving dinner, you MUST get the pilgrim! The cranberry sauce and the stuffing and the turkey patty was super yummy, but NOT greasy which is a huge plus for me. The 420 burger on the other hand just screams dense and it sure was so flipping good if you want to have a cheat day.the side of chips are solid and I want to try every burger on the menu. The service there was also great and our waiter was super friendly and nice! He made sure all was good and that we were enjoying the food. My niece talked me into going here. Nice sized burgers with a variety of toppings. Went Big Papi (although I'm a diehard Yankees fan...) and yep the hot dog on top of the burger with the egg, bacon and cheese works well together. Might just lose the lettuce and out sauce on the side next time as it got a little sloppy for poppy. Crunchy homemade chips and little bit of coleslaw complete this fun pre-concert meal. Milkshakes looked incredible, will certainly sample one of those next time! Service was responsive. read more

location/parking: right in davis sq, super convenient. Just take the red line to the davis stop. price: Burgers range in price from $10-18. Milkshakes are a little more than $10. atmosphere: casual dining joint, most people who come are families or couples looking for a convenient burger spot. Service was good and the waitress was quite attentive. food: this review is solely for the 420 burger and strawberry dessert. The 420 was loaded, and not in the best way. While just $4.20 during weekdays from 4:20-5pm, this burger isn't something I would really call a steal. It was dripping in this salty sauce and there was mozzarella sticks, bacon, the patty, chips etc. included. I forced myself through half of it. The dessert was also almost sickly sweet and I guess it makes a cute novelty photo op? Definitely shareable for like 3-4 people. last remarks: I would give this place another chance for their regular burgers, but the stuff i ordered didn't impress. I felt like I needed to cleanse myself with veggies after lol. read more

I ordered the All American Burger which came with the house chips and I was happy with my selection. I requested for the patty to be cooked medium well and I think it was perfect. I wish there was a bit more blue cheese, BBQ, lettuce, and that the bacon was crispier. I think the patty was pretty thick and not dry which is hard to master when cooked longer. I'm not sure what cheese was used but I liked it, you can definitely taste it for most bites and adds creaminess. The house chips were super crunchy but good- almost as crunchy as capecod chips. read more

This is a fun place to come in person-- I love seeing their super stacked burgers and their milkshakes are a work of art. Their menu is fun to explore but I see this spot as one that I try once in my life. I ordered the All American through delivery ($13.5: American cheese, BBQ sauce, bacon, blue cheese, lettuce, tomato) with chips and coleslaw on the side. Everything was very soft and kind of mushy... even if they toasted the bun, it did not seem that way. There was barely a sear on the patty. The patty was drenched in so much sauce that every bite mostly tasted like BBQ sauce. I barely tasted any flavor from the meat itself. Their chips, however, are amazing. They are perfectly seasoned, crispy, and crunchy. The coleslaw has a heavy mayo-to-cabbage ratio and is sweet, but not in a bad way. I also wanted fries so I ordered their classic wedge fries ($7). The fries were not crispy at all, not fluffy on the inside, and underseasoned. As much as I loved the chips, I was hoping that the burgers would be equally impressive. read more

Boston Burger company is famous for its excess, but underneath all of the show and gaudy menu items there is a rock solid foundation for American fare is it should be done. I'm not one for loaded fries, 1k+ calorie shakes, or burgers with more than say... 4 toppings (I'm a burger purist). That big, flashy, calorie-bomb is Boston Burger's focus, and while I can appreciate that kind of stance it is not something that I was in the mood for during our visit. For me, I'm a keep it simple: bun, patty, cheese, lettuce, onion, pickle, mayo (on side), and ketchup (on side). That is how I measure a burger place, not how many toppings can be piled on to hide potentially subpar execution of the actual menu item. So, I had a simple cheeseburger as described above with their seasoned fries on the side. Everything we ordered and got was as expected, for the price point. It was a good meal, nothing blew us away but there was also nothing to complain about (hence the 3 star "OK" rating). The fries were crisp, and the burger was done well (not well done :P), and the toppings were fresh and crisp. It fell on the spectrum between my experience (same order) of Red Robin and Zinburger, putting it on par with say a Wahlburgers experience which is nothing bad if that is what you are looking for. At the end of the day - under all the show, glitz, flash, and excess Boston Burger has a great foundation for everything on their menu. I would not say it is the best burger/shake you will ever have, but you shouldn't leave disappointed at the price point. I will return to have my typical burger and a side of fries if I'm in the mood (and area), but I wouldn't go out of my way or make a special trip for what they specialize in. read more
