$3 Smashburger
Michelle M.

What's better than a late night smashburger for $3 and a PBR for $2?! Boston Burger Company offers this deal from 10:30pm to 12:30am and prices like this are hard to come by. You can get all you can eat smash burgers dine-in, and let me tell you, they're good!!!!! The sauce that comes on it is so yummy. Burgers are smaller so you could eat 2 if you're hungry. Lots of students come here and they had the PATS game playing so it was deff a vibe!

Came here for the $3 smash burgers after 10pm and this place did not disappoint. I'd recommend getting there early -- tables filled up very quick even for a weekday night. Servers were nice and got our orders sent out fast. I was expecting the burgers to be of lesser quality considering the price, but they were so delicious. While it wasn't any crazy new flavor I haven't tasted before at a burger joint, every ingredient (especially the sauce!) was great. I would've wished for the buns to have been toasted more, but that didn't stop me from eating four of them. Definitely a spot I would come back to when visiting Boston for a late night meal and vibey bar-like atmosphere.

Stopped by Boston Burger Company and had a great experience overall! The service was friendly, quick, and really made us feel taken care of. The burgers were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor--definitely lived up to the hype. And the shakes... absolutely amazing and a must-try! Only downside is the seating--it's a bit tight and can feel cramped, especially during busy times. But honestly, the food and service more than make up for it. Would definitely come back!

I was happy to have trued this iconic burger spot. Cool spot, and we went off-peak hours, so we got a good booth. Burgers were solid; we want smash burger style. I would have a hard time not getting the Roots Burger again. We asked to try a couple sauces on the side too, that was no problem, and they were all great. The FRIES! Get the fries. They were amazing. If I were to give the restaurant feedback I'd say cut down on menu items, to find more ways to feature those fries-they were great. On a note I don't typically talk to much about: Service was great, snd super professional. I watched them de-escalate a group of Karens, who were a party of twelve, had reservations, but were upset they weren't being sat together when they arrived two hours early...

The Strawberry Shortcake shake under the cake

We popped in because we saw the owners vid reels on socials. Had to try and must say it was worth it! Now the staff who were on the night we went were both super nice and tried to get everyone's orders and drinks out efficiently, mad house with college crowd late night. Glad we went on a Sunday, wasn't as crowded when we got there, then the groups starting flowing in. Ofc we went for their new promo specific to Cambridge's location! I must say, very impressed, for $2 you get full 1/4lb patty smash burgers with onions, pickles, cheese on a burger bun that tastes and textually almost like Hawaiian king bread that everyone knows. Plus 1000 island dressing. They were all well seasoned, easy to eat and yes we each put down 3 each (saved our stomachs for this). The strawberry shortcake the lady wanted, cake was good, not dry, and the shake was tasty tho a bit sweet for me but as long as she's happy! That strawberry shortcake cost more then our $2 burgers combined haha Either way will be coming back with more friends to this location! The bathrooms however, least tonight, were wet slippery and messy but kind of expected for the crowd that would be here later in the night.

Their $2 smash burger deal after 10pm is awesome! ***Must buy a minimum of 1 $2 PBR per person*** Great value and the burgers are very cheesy with a good serving of thousand Island dressing, onions, and 2 pickles. They are uniform and the buns are toasted! Service is good, but they are short staffed during the hours of 10pm and 1am, I have been multiple times now and it's 1-2 people running the bar and all the tables. When it gets busy, sometimes it takes a while to be seated, put your order in, or cash out. Otherwise, it is lively and often has a lot of energy there! Just beware when the college students are around, you will be waiting since they pack the place quick!

Killer Bee with sweet potato fries
Kurt F.

Stopped here on a recommendation for a good burger. Had the Killer Bee burger which was juicy, big and dripping bbq sauce. The onion rings had a good crunchy coating while the onions were still crisp. This thing was big! Friendly staff gave some good pointers as this menu has a lot of great sounding options - cardiac stoppers (in a good way)!! We definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Oh man, I haven't been to Boston Burger Company in a minute! I used to frequent the location in Fenway a few years ago and have not thought to go in a while. We decided to take a trip to Cambridge tonight for their $2 smash burger special that is available from 10pm-1am, daily! You do need to order a drink (doesn't have to be alcoholic) to get this deal for the burgers. ***$2 smash burgers are only offered at the Cambridge location*** We ended up ordering 6 smash burgers, a ginger ale, & a strawberry shortcake milkshake. The milkshakes from here could totally be meals themselves haha. The strawberry shortcake milkshake comes with a shortcake on top of the cup with lots of whipped cream. The smash burgers were great! Loved the cheese, onions, and pickles it came with. Much better than getting McDonald's, especially for the price of $2/each! I would definitely come back again for the smash burger deal. It cannot be beat for the price. If you need to go to the bathroom, I would avoid. The floors were very slippery because there was a bunch of water on the floor & was quite dirty.

Solid burger spot. I wasn't super impressed with my burger but the caesar fries were delicious! Service was decent, and the vibe was casual and warm, and I like that they're open late.

Came to celebrate mine and my buddy's bday. Food was pretty good just have to remind yourself that parking is limited and on a timer. Will def be back for the smash burger/ beer special.

City feeling burger place right off of Harvard Square! Everyone was very kind and the service was extremely quick. We had two burgers and it was delicious, thought definitely a little hard to eat because it was so big haha. The chips are really good as well. We went on a weekend so it was quite busy- very lively atmosphere and the restaurant is open (no windows) so its a nice breath of fresh air while enjoying a meal. Love this place!

They have a variety of hamburgers. I had a hamburger called a burger bomb. I sat at the bar where I was presented with a menu upon sitting down. That's one way to make sure I am there for food not just a beer. The bartender asked me if I wanted my burger smashed or traditional. Smashed is two thin patties while traditional is a thicker burger. The smashed is 5.00 more. I went with the traditional version. The burger bomb had peppers, mushrooms, onions and cheese. It was delicious and if I had the chance, I would recommend it. I also had onion rings At 10.00, I thought they were overprced. I would return again if I were in the mood for a cheeseburger. Just remember to bring your wallet.

Abigail M.

Pretty solid burger option that I'm glad I tried, but I'm not super inclined to eat here again. The food was good, but there are better options. The bruschetta fries were really good and I liked that unique approach and variety of loaded fries! The burgers though is kind of what brings this down for me. Our server was nice, made a lot of jokes, and was super personable, but he didn't write anything down and went off memory to take our orders, causing him to forget toppings and/or give us entirely wrong sides. The burgers were still good though, we left satisfied! The food is good and all, but there are better options around.

Beautiful bar counter, long bat for seating and many tables inside and outside nice covered seating . I ordered the burger and the description of ingredients drew me in further to taste this burger . Nice thick dry aged beef burger, the melted cheese , onion jam, aioli mayo all worked together and a dip by me in ketchup. I did get a dry aged beef taste vs a regular beef burger... but not enough to say it was a differentiator . This was an outstanding burger . I consider this one of my top favorite burgers in Boston area. I ordered the hash browns and they were left off my plate, but eventually arrived . They took the hash brown costs off my bill... I ate the hash browns after the burger was gone . These hard fried potato blend was outstanding taste . I would have like a drizzle of pink sea salt or custom made ketchup blend. When you serve a terrific burger, outstanding g hash browns... why not a chef blend of a honey ketchup with special ingredients or spices. Even the pickle was great and just enough and tasted like a slice of a grillo's type dill pickle not a jar Heinz pickle . The Maine lunch beer pint was a perfect beverage pairing. Overall excellent lunch, great service. Nice vibes as a restaurant in a high end Hotel with elegant appearance, seating, well dressed groomed staff. The other menu selections all sound enticing to try... but 20.00 for that burger was reasonable. I will be back . They offer valet parking as part of the hotel. There is on street parking and side street parking. I wanted roasted Brussels on menu as an add on option. I highly recommend to the chef to step it up with a homemade ketchup.

Because if there's anything I'm gonna STILL do is celebrate my daughter's birthday EVEN in her 30s!!So to celebrate her big 32nd, Oak Bistro on Cambridge St. in Cambridge made the cut. Oak B. might not hit you with all that fancy-schmancy decor when you first walk in, but babyyy, what they (kind of) lack in flair, they more than make up for where it counts! You walk in and there's the main dining room, over by the bar, they have about three high-top tables. These aren't your regular high-tops- we were seated in this cute, tucked-away nook that had its own vibe going on. A half-wall of raw brick separated our table from the one next to us and I was digging it! Let me talk about the reserved tag on our table because it wasn't some "RESERVED" basic little sign. What they placed was such a unique touch, it spoke volumes! I discreetly let our server Annie know we were celebrating my daughter's birthday and sis understood the assignment! From that moment on, she was on it every single step of the way! But birthday or no birthday, Annie was just that good. Thank you for being and doing the mostest! We started with a tasty roasted maple pear salad, then came the octopus appetizer which was tender, seasoned beautifully and packed with flavor. As for cocktails, between my 2 and my daughter's, they were nicely done and had a respectable little kick. Strength wasn't totally over the top- but doable. And by the way- our drinks didn't look boring. I had the Albedo and Liquid Gold, while my kid went with the hibiscus cocktail and the presentation was giving what it needed to give! Pretty glasses, thoughtful garnishes, the whole nine! Thank you for going beyond the lemon or lime wedge! I live for a cocktail that looks like somebody actually put their whole flair into it. As for main plates, I went with the squash+kale+ mushroom risotto, while my daughter ordered meaty scallops on the same style of risotto. My risotto was good, creamy and perfectly seasoned- but I actually wanted more mushrooms and their flavor to come through stronger. Still good. But those scallops! We ordered their own version of a flourless chocolate molten cake for dessert- just don't expect the usual cut-it-open-and-chocolate-oozes out situation. Their version was more like a wet, dark chocolate cake. It was different- but delicious! Annie wasn't finished with us yet! Here she comes with Oak B's version of beignets for my daughter's birthday!!! These weren't the typical fluffy, airy beignets. They were moist, a little on the dense side, but soooo freaking tasty. And that caramel sauce.... Good God Almighty. They gave us a generous little cup of that sauce and I promise you, I could've drank two cups! If there was an award for best server, it would go to Annie!!! She wasn't robotic, wasn't giving us that fake-friendly restaurant routine. She was genuinely warm, attentive, pleasant and just downright kind! She knew when to check in, when to give us space and how to make my daughter's birthday dinner feel like something special without making a big production out of it. So no, Oak Bistro might not blow you away with their décor- but between the awesome little touches, seriously tasty food, cocktails with personality, delicious scallops, mind blowing caramel sauce and a total gem of a server, Oak B. did its thing.

Yup--good choice coming here. While sadly this dish is not one of their regular menu items, it still showed me the quality of food this place produces. I did mention to our server that this dish should be rotated onto their menu (please!!) The ambiance is intimate and perfect for a date night or special occasion. The couple next to us was actually celebrating their anniversary and they had a handwritten card on the table waiting for them, it's these little touches that go a long way. Plus the food at the tables around us looked delicious. I will be back to try their official menu, but was thoroughly impressed and left dreaming about the mac n cheese.

We walked into a room where the walls are covered in memorabilia and every table is labeled with the name of a famous person who has sat there, giving the space a personality that no amount of designed ambiance can replicate. It feels like a place with genuine history rather than a place performing one. The burgers are the reason to come and they hold up after more than six decades without apology. The patties are thick and cooked to order, with medium being the right call for maximum juiciness. The creative topping combinations across the named burgers give you a range of directions to go depending on your mood. The Masshole is a natural starting point for a first visit, and the build your own option is worth knowing about if you want to go a more specific route. The portions are large enough that leaving satisfied is essentially guaranteed. The onion rings are a great choice of side for good reason, crispy and well seasoned in a way that holds up alongside the burger rather than competing with it, and the sweet potato fries are a strong alternative if you want something slightly less heavy. The frappes and shakes are worth ordering if you want something to wash it all down, and the raspberry lime Rickey is a summer ready drink with a refreshing taste.
