What's better than a late night smashburger for $3 and a PBR for $2?! Boston Burger Company offers this deal from 10:30pm to 12:30am and prices like this are hard to come by. You can get all you can eat smash burgers dine-in, and let me tell you, they're good!!!!! The sauce that comes on it is so yummy. Burgers are smaller so you could eat 2 if you're hungry. Lots of students come here and they had the PATS game playing so it was deff a vibe!
Came here for the $3 smash burgers after 10pm and this place did not disappoint. I'd recommend getting there early -- tables filled up very quick even for a weekday night. Servers were nice and got our orders sent out fast. I was expecting the burgers to be of lesser quality considering the price, but they were so delicious. While it wasn't any crazy new flavor I haven't tasted before at a burger joint, every ingredient (especially the sauce!) was great. I would've wished for the buns to have been toasted more, but that didn't stop me from eating four of them. Definitely a spot I would come back to when visiting Boston for a late night meal and vibey bar-like atmosphere.
Stopped by Boston Burger Company and had a great experience overall! The service was friendly, quick, and really made us feel taken care of. The burgers were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor--definitely lived up to the hype. And the shakes... absolutely amazing and a must-try! Only downside is the seating--it's a bit tight and can feel cramped, especially during busy times. But honestly, the food and service more than make up for it. Would definitely come back!
I was happy to have trued this iconic burger spot. Cool spot, and we went off-peak hours, so we got a good booth. Burgers were solid; we want smash burger style. I would have a hard time not getting the Roots Burger again. We asked to try a couple sauces on the side too, that was no problem, and they were all great. The FRIES! Get the fries. They were amazing. If I were to give the restaurant feedback I'd say cut down on menu items, to find more ways to feature those fries-they were great. On a note I don't typically talk to much about: Service was great, snd super professional. I watched them de-escalate a group of Karens, who were a party of twelve, had reservations, but were upset they weren't being sat together when they arrived two hours early...
We popped in because we saw the owners vid reels on socials. Had to try and must say it was worth it! Now the staff who were on the night we went were both super nice and tried to get everyone's orders and drinks out efficiently, mad house with college crowd late night. Glad we went on a Sunday, wasn't as crowded when we got there, then the groups starting flowing in. Ofc we went for their new promo specific to Cambridge's location! I must say, very impressed, for $2 you get full 1/4lb patty smash burgers with onions, pickles, cheese on a burger bun that tastes and textually almost like Hawaiian king bread that everyone knows. Plus 1000 island dressing. They were all well seasoned, easy to eat and yes we each put down 3 each (saved our stomachs for this). The strawberry shortcake the lady wanted, cake was good, not dry, and the shake was tasty tho a bit sweet for me but as long as she's happy! That strawberry shortcake cost more then our $2 burgers combined haha Either way will be coming back with more friends to this location! The bathrooms however, least tonight, were wet slippery and messy but kind of expected for the crowd that would be here later in the night.
Their $2 smash burger deal after 10pm is awesome! ***Must buy a minimum of 1 $2 PBR per person*** Great value and the burgers are very cheesy with a good serving of thousand Island dressing, onions, and 2 pickles. They are uniform and the buns are toasted! Service is good, but they are short staffed during the hours of 10pm and 1am, I have been multiple times now and it's 1-2 people running the bar and all the tables. When it gets busy, sometimes it takes a while to be seated, put your order in, or cash out. Otherwise, it is lively and often has a lot of energy there! Just beware when the college students are around, you will be waiting since they pack the place quick!
Stopped here on a recommendation for a good burger. Had the Killer Bee burger which was juicy, big and dripping bbq sauce. The onion rings had a good crunchy coating while the onions were still crisp. This thing was big! Friendly staff gave some good pointers as this menu has a lot of great sounding options - cardiac stoppers (in a good way)!! We definitely come back next time I'm in town.
Oh man, I haven't been to Boston Burger Company in a minute! I used to frequent the location in Fenway a few years ago and have not thought to go in a while. We decided to take a trip to Cambridge tonight for their $2 smash burger special that is available from 10pm-1am, daily! You do need to order a drink (doesn't have to be alcoholic) to get this deal for the burgers. ***$2 smash burgers are only offered at the Cambridge location*** We ended up ordering 6 smash burgers, a ginger ale, & a strawberry shortcake milkshake. The milkshakes from here could totally be meals themselves haha. The strawberry shortcake milkshake comes with a shortcake on top of the cup with lots of whipped cream. The smash burgers were great! Loved the cheese, onions, and pickles it came with. Much better than getting McDonald's, especially for the price of $2/each! I would definitely come back again for the smash burger deal. It cannot be beat for the price. If you need to go to the bathroom, I would avoid. The floors were very slippery because there was a bunch of water on the floor & was quite dirty.
Solid burger spot. I wasn't super impressed with my burger but the caesar fries were delicious! Service was decent, and the vibe was casual and warm, and I like that they're open late.
Came to celebrate mine and my buddy's bday. Food was pretty good just have to remind yourself that parking is limited and on a timer. Will def be back for the smash burger/ beer special.
City feeling burger place right off of Harvard Square! Everyone was very kind and the service was extremely quick. We had two burgers and it was delicious, thought definitely a little hard to eat because it was so big haha. The chips are really good as well. We went on a weekend so it was quite busy- very lively atmosphere and the restaurant is open (no windows) so its a nice breath of fresh air while enjoying a meal. Love this place!
They have a variety of hamburgers. I had a hamburger called a burger bomb. I sat at the bar where I was presented with a menu upon sitting down. That's one way to make sure I am there for food not just a beer. The bartender asked me if I wanted my burger smashed or traditional. Smashed is two thin patties while traditional is a thicker burger. The smashed is 5.00 more. I went with the traditional version. The burger bomb had peppers, mushrooms, onions and cheese. It was delicious and if I had the chance, I would recommend it. I also had onion rings At 10.00, I thought they were overprced. I would return again if I were in the mood for a cheeseburger. Just remember to bring your wallet.
Pretty solid burger option that I'm glad I tried, but I'm not super inclined to eat here again. The food was good, but there are better options. The bruschetta fries were really good and I liked that unique approach and variety of loaded fries! The burgers though is kind of what brings this down for me. Our server was nice, made a lot of jokes, and was super personable, but he didn't write anything down and went off memory to take our orders, causing him to forget toppings and/or give us entirely wrong sides. The burgers were still good though, we left satisfied! The food is good and all, but there are better options around.
I was watching DDD one day and wondered, "which Boston restaurants have been featured on this show in its history?". So I hopped on Wikipedia and found that BBC, a Boston burger joint known for their humongous, calorific burgers, had starred in the show on MULTIPLE occasions. After watching Guy Fieri take a stab at the Mac Attack, I decided to accept the challenge as well. We ordered three items via DoorDash on a non-peak hour of a weekend: Chocolate Freakfrappe, Mac Attack, and Porkasauras. Delivery came promptly but the food had cooled down a bit, not too bad though. The packaging, as you can see, is quite nice, as the boxes act like a plate and a wrap at the same time! Chocolate Freakfrappe: the m&ms on top were a nice touch, but in reality, it's sadly an average but overpriced milkshake. Porkasauras: good! I'm a fan of pulled pork in general, so I knew I'd like this one. Coleslaw was a very smart idea to add some freshness and balance. Mac Attack: a really heavy but delicious burger!! Baked beans were tasty as well, warm and slightly sweet. Mac and cheese in a burger is a very creative idea and I enjoyed it very much. But I think I'll need to get my hemoglobin checked after this one... Overall, the burgers were delicious but the milkshake maybe not so much. I think BBC's solid reputation is deserved. Prices can be pretty steep for a takeout burger place, but these are some tasty burgers! I'd definitely come here again in person so I can enjoy that Mac Attack with a fresher cheese pull. read more

One of our favorite burger places of all time. Such a fun environment and there are so many creative, unique burgers to choose from! You get salty with the homemade potato chips, sweet with the baked beans, and savory with the burger. We bring our company team of about 20 here every summer and everyone just loves it! (Many guys have recommended the burger with peanut butter on it, I haven't been brave enough to try it but they said it slaps) My favorite is the "Hot Mess", it comes with bacon, sweet potatoes fries and homemade 100 island dressing that has pickles and jalapeños diced in the sauce so it's got a nice kick to it. My husband loves the "Kitchen Sink", and the "Mac Attack". Taste is 5 stars but it is a bit pricey and sometimes the wait is a bit long so I gave it a 4. But it's worth it! read more

Took a drive to see Harvard and stopped here for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Total college vibe , casual place , not a a lot of tables maybe 10 total . We were sat right away , took a look at menu for awhile before a waitress came over to take order. by the time she did we were ready to order our drinks and food so it worked out. Ordered the honey bbq boneless wings , the hot mess burger and a build your own burger( lettuce , ketchup, pickle) with a side of fries as burgers come with chips and the choice of baked beans or slaw as side . The baked beans were meh but the slaw was good . The wings were a large portion and had a more bbq flavor not so much honey flavored as I would have liked but still tasty with a side of ranch. I would not have been able to finish alone luckily my husband and son helped me finish . The hot mess burger was like a premium Big Mac in regards to flavor - had sweet potatoes, Onion , cheese and lettuce but was missing the jalapeño and bacon it was supposed to have on it ,so that was a little disappointing but it was still good. The burgers were fresh definitely not frozen and juicy. Bun was cold would have been better if warmed up. Overall total college eats place , decent food read more

Hi Michael. Can you email us at Guestservices@bostonburgercompany.com?
Pros: - interesting burgers and "freakfrappe" which are basically super extra and visually pleasing milkshakes. Ordered the strawberry shortcake freakfrappe and pigferno burger. Milkshake looked very cool and tasted ok, nothing special. Burger was super filling and tasty (but it was like 16+ dollars) - Located close to Harvard and a nice area. Came with my boyfriend near 2pm and we were given a nice big table. Saw a painting of Conan O'Brien - big fan. Cons: - Sad story about my 5 dollar wasted: I think they forgot about us for a good 15-20 minutes. When the waitress did come she asked if we wanted the bottle of water she was holding or something else, I said we'd have water and she gave us the bottle. Noticed our bottle was nicer than the glass bottle on other tables, figured it was her apologizing for forgetting us. When we got the check I saw a charge of 5 dollars for the water. Felt betrayed :( - the food was good but I think still pretty pricey. Overall I think the food quality for its price deserved 3 stars but adding in the aesthetics and interesting choices can bump it up to a 4. Unfortunate experience today with the wait time and water situation but might come again to give it another chance. read more
Good food and delicious burgers!!! This place is definitely worth the visit! The combinations of burgers are wonderful. You can truly find anything that you're craving or in the mood for. I loved how they topped the burgers with onion rings or mozzarella sticks as it was like an appetizer and main dish in one! They also had magnificent milkshakes! They layered a whole piece of cake on top of the milkshake!! It was very good and very filling. Make sure you share it with someone! I would visit this place again. I think you should visit if you love burgers, good food, and not counting calories!!! read more

Before arriving to Boston for our convention, this place was the talk among the convention forum. I looked it up and their freak shakes was the first thing I notice. Nothing else, I didn't even care for the burger. I just wanted to come here for the shake. Me and my coworker so happen to stumble to this place so I just had him stop with me for dinner here. ****warning - order your freak shakes last because it comes out quick and you won't have room for dinner if you finish it all and if you wait it out, things starts to mush around.*** I ordered their churro freak shake and a bumble burger. It's just a burger with onion rings on top slathered in bbq sauce. was it the best burger I had? Not really. It was good enough to satisfy my want for food. The shake on the other hand...more than satisfy my sweet tooth. But I do need to say that this meal I had wasn't for anyone who is watching their weight or on a diet. This would be the ultimate cheat meal. Friendly staff, decent food, and amazing dessert (shakes). read more

The portions here are huge. This is a place where you need to split meals and even then it'll leave you feeling full. If you're visiting boston it's a must. I got the Oreo shake and split the burger with a friend. The shake has a tinge of alcohol flavor but the sugar overpowers it for sure. read more

It is inconceivable to me that this Boston Burger Company is rated less than 5 stars. I had lost the "dinner debate", (I wanted sushi) but boyyyyyy am I glad I did. To start with, our waitress Cassie was a star, she was helpful, had perfect timing and was sweet to boot! Seemed like the other waitstaff serving tables around us were equally awesome! Now for the meat of it: THE FOOD What we ordered: -cannoli freak frappe -bbc salad (hold the roasted peppers) -garlic parm "wings" -bruschetta fries Portions so abundant that I was too stuffed to even get to the wings! Everything was incredible. For me the highlight was the Bruschetta fries, but honestly every bite on my plate was better than the last! My 2 friends agreed with me, as our dinner conversation became mostly just "omgggg yummms" I loved the fresh, beads of garlic over the fries and wings- reminded me of warriors/giants games growing up in San Francisco- GARLIC FTW!!!!! read more
Frappes were awesome - they had a really great menu with variety so everyone can find a flavor they like. My friend got Mac and cheese which she loved. I got a chicken sandwich which was great but a bit large and messy to eat. We had to wait for a table to open up, but they put us on a waiting list and texted us when one opened up, which was helpful. The wait staff and servers were super friendly too. read more

Thank you for the four star review Okari.
I have tried delivery from this place twice and I have to say it was terrible. The meat is not seasoned my burger was over cooked twice. The bacon tasted like rubber. The sweet fries were definitely not worth the 9.00 but the sauce that came with them was good. Only reason I'm giving them one star is because my shake was good even though it didn't taste like Nutella. I'm from Texas I definitely know my meat and these burgers disappointed. read more

I came here for my birthday with a group of 7. You can't make reservations ahead of time. We showed up at 6pm and put my name down for a table. It was about a 2 hour wait for a group my size. It was a busy Saturday night. I have Celiac disease which is a severe allergy to gluten. I didn't know when I ordered the Pig Pile appetizer that the chips were fried in the same fryer as onion rings, etc. so the cross contamination should have made me sick. But I ate that entire appetizer and didn't get sick from gluten. But if you do have a gluten allergy/Celiac, you should probably just get the coleslaw. They have Udi's gluten free buns, so most burgers can be made gluten free. I got the Green Monstah on a gluten free bun with coleslaw on the side. Most of the Freak Frappe's have Oreos and stuff with gluten in them. But they were able to accommodate my allergy. I got the Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Freak Frappe! It was amazing! I believe the only modification they made was they didn't serve a Nutter Butter cookie in my frappe. I had a great time. You can definitely get by with a gluten allergy here. They also had veggie burgers if you're vegetarian / vegan. read more

I loved my lunch at Boston Burger Company in Davis Square, the waiter was very kind with us It was fast so I didn't have to wait so long. What was not good was that the meat was over-cooked. I came with my classmates during a field trip and I loved eating at the restaurant. The meat in the burger (I took a Boston Burger) was medium well but I ordered the meat medium cooked. My additions were in order and that was great. 4 stars on Yelp. read more

Food was wayyyy to saucy & salty The clam chowda had a lot of potatoes and not much of anything else & there's better clam Chowda places. My burger/ salad was not bad, first time ever having this and I got to say, more places should do this. My bf burger was waaaayy to saucy, he couldn't even pick it up without it slipping apart. The sauce they pour over it wasn't good either. Ended up making him nauseous. The app, some sort of March special which was tater tots and hot dog fried and covered in bbq sauce and cheese was a bit too much on our palates. I never was a big fan of bbq but my bf is and he was let down on this. This bbq sauce had a sour tang to it. On top of all that, the waitress either was slow and trying to work faster when there was only 4 tables (including us) 2 of which already been seated & eating. But I felt she was ignoring us and had more time talking to the chefs in the back then doing her job. We ended up taking probably 5 bites each thing, & threw the rest. Idk if it's the atmosphere & service where we were unhappy and food just needed up tasting unpleasant or if the food is just mediocre. read more

Got the 420 special at 4:20 for $4.20. Worth every cent! Great service and good food. Not sure if I would have paid the regular price because I'm not the biggest burger person, but I enjoyed it. It definitely elevated my cholesterol but you only live once. Milkshake is insta famous so I got it for the gram. The taste was mediocre. read more

Went as a party of 7 as a last minute plan and we're seated right away. My friend and I split a Dough My Goodness Shake, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, and a Stocking Stuffers. The Milkshake was ok, we didn't like the flavor of the shake itself, but the cookie dough balls were really good. The Stocking Stuffers are a seasonal item but we didn't like the mayo topping. The egg roll wrappers were also a little undercooked. The burger was probably the favorite out of the three, I do love bbq Mac and cheese and it was good on a burger. My other friends seemed to enjoy their food and their interesting burger creations! read more

Wow what a conglomeration of burgers to choose from!!! Anything you want or love on a burger! The service and food was delish so fresh and tasty! Our waitress Justine was fabulous! Ok why four stars!??? Well the manager told us that my little niece couldn't eat her food from another establishment in the restaurant " it's a violation of the Massachusetts State Law" which is the one of the reason we chose the casual burger restaurant so my niece can bring her own food for her restrictive diet. (She has a medical condition) I believe the manager should focus more on safety violations vs a child eating her her food with two paying adults. As in very slippery floors and chairs blocking the isle. I'm glad we stayed to eat our meal although my poor niece felt like she was in trouble. read more

Tried the S'mores shake (comes with graham cracker and toasted marshmallows on top (please add chocolate next time - a sheet of chocolate, not just syrup ;), as well as the 420 burger (mozarella sticks, onion rings, bacon, sweet bbq sauce). Definitely a go to when you're stoned read more
I believe this was my third time coming to BBC but first time to this location. We got seated right away by our waitress and were served as soon as our entire group of 4 was there. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium but I believed it was more medium rare, which I didn't mind. I had a side of Cole slaw and the table shared a side of onion rings. The Cole slaw was generic and the onion rings were relatively greasy. All of us were too full to finish our burgers and wanted to save space for the milkshakes which we didn't finish either. Needless to say the portions are huge and are suggested to share. Love the extravagant toppings and the options of milkshakes available. Definitely what we mostly came for and were not disappointed. read more
TLDR - I like big buns and I cannot lie. Amen. This place serves up burgers that are thiCCC with 3 C's! Along with them big booty burgers, you'll get a huge variety of loaded fries to choose from and shakes on shakes on shakes. The burgers are so thick, I almost had to unhinge my jaw to eat it. They serve their burgers with a side of homemade chips and either cole slaw or baked beans. I also had some of their bruschetta fries, from their huge selection of loaded fries and those were bomb. To finish it all off, got the Nutella shake, which was topped with marshmallows, a brownie and those cookie straws that add a silky soft touch. The glass it came in was also smothered in Nutella and coconut flakes with whip cream to cover it all off. No, it wasn't just me eating all this, definitely being a friend. This place was so good and though I didn't indulge, their beer selection looks quite mighty too. Why 4 and not 5 stars? I thought the meat itself could've been more flavorful. It was a bit dry and bland but still a great burger. read more

Super fun place to eat at!! A basic staple of Boston with a few location in/around the city. I had been to the Boylston location before so I knew what to expect, had a great experience at the Davis Square location as well. I ordered the Rundown which has fried pickles on the burger!! They are fried pickle spears, not chips which was surprising but still good. Burger was cooked medium as I asked. Burgers are served with chips and cole slaw here so ordering a side of fries is a must. They have a whole list of toppings you can pick from - we went classic bacon cheese. They were just what you would expect and delicious!! Place definitely gets crowded at prime dinner time, but the line generally moves quickly. We went 9:15 this time so we had no problem getting a table!! Need to go back again to try their freak shakes... read more

Was super excited to get a delicious burger and tried to come a few times before, but the wait was too long. When we finally committed to it, we came in on a Monday holiday an hour after it open. The wait was still horrible. I joined the yelp waitlist, which said had about a 5 minute wait, but when I actually got there we waited 30-45 minutes to actually get a table. Mac Attack burger: 3/5 Garlic Parm Fries: 3.5/5 Green Monstah as a bowl: 4/5 Was quite disappointed by the Mac Attack. The main issue I had was that the patty was not very juicy. The burger felt kind of dry and didn't give me the flavor kick I was anticipating. I actually felt the the Green Monstah as a bowl was better (even though that's probably not what people come here for). The avocado goes quite well with the beef. Garlic Parm fries were decent, but still mostly tasted like ok cooked potato. Not worth the price. You can come once for the hype and extravagance, but I doubt I'll be coming back a second time. read more
