My husband felt like having some comfort food/pub fare while in Boston, so this restaurant was not far from our hotel. I got a delicious Cheeseburger with no bun (lettuce wrapped) and salad as the side. My husband got the chicken Parm and he liked it as well. Our server was very friendly and vey nice. Overall a good place for some pub fare. They had a good selection of beers and cocktails on their menu.
My order: Fish sandwich and fries, gluten free The Review: 4th wall is becoming known for its gluten free array of options. They even have "gluten free" in neon on the wall. Impressively, I ordered online and the food came out within 10 minutes. The fries were sliced whole potatoes, crispy, and gluten free--a finding which is rare! The coleslaw was good, but there wasn't enough of it. What I would imagine to be the star of the show, the fish, was incredibly tough and difficult to chew. Usually it should fall apart! I'm trying not to think too much as to why it was like that. If I happen to have a better dish there, I would absolutely increase my rating. It was just painful to pay over $20 for a sandwich like that. That being said, go try out the gluten free pub options! Not the fish.
Found the hidden gem next to the Moxy Hotel we were staying at. Super comfortable atmosphere. We found 2 seats at the bar and absolutely loved the vibe. Service was good, but found was great. If you're in the Theater District for sure head to this spot.
We didn't stay long just popped in for a quick late night drink after a comedy show at The Wilbur. Drinks were good, people were nice, and they've got arcade games... which is always a win. There's just something about a bar with games that makes it feel fun without trying too hard. It was a short visit, but a good one. Would swing back in again if we're in the area and want a laid-back spot for a quick drink.

Definitely order the poutine here, the fries are the perfect ratio of crunchy (outside) and soft (inside). The burger was a normal burger, nothing amazing about it, but still solid burger. They clam chowder was thick, but kind of a lot of potatoes.
As someone who is gluten-free it always feels like a breath of fresh hair to find somewhere that can accommodate our dietary restrictions. We came in Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy however we were seated immediately. The service was extremely quick and very friendly. We ordered the gluten-free honey barbecue chicken, and the clam chowder, which was amazing! I will definitely keep this in my rotation for when I'm back in the city!! This place does give a sports bar by which is awesome if you wanna watch the game or have a nice lunch I definitely recommend.
Great spot near Tufts Medical...or theatre area. A quick pint and chowder! If in area, cool pub atmosphere, service, and food! Will be back for sure.

My friend and I made reservations here for before the Matteo Lane show at the Wang Theater! Our table was ready immediately and our server was amazing. The food was so good!!! The Brussels sprouts OMG! My friend had the Reuben and I had the 4th wall burger, but with only one hamburger patty! It was the perfect size and for the first time ever at a restaurant I had more bun than burger! I had the combat zone for a drink & she had a mai tai (or 2)! It's very chill in the restaurant and it was perfect! It wasn't too loud, I could hear my friend without any problems. The seating is one big long bench against a wall, with little tables for 2 spaced out. Each table had a chair. I never felt crowded or in anyone's way! We may have found our new pre-theater restaurant!
My wife is gluten free and was in heaven when she was finally able to find a place that had boneless wings that are gluten free (and delicious). We got the sweet chili sauce and this dish was easily the best thing we had in Boston. The service and feel of the bar were excellent for a midday lunch. The only bad mark I'll give the place is for their salad that essentially was bagged shredded lettuce. If you're in the area, definitely get some wings but skip the salad.
I hate to do this but my experience this past Sunday was terrible. The first time I went to this restaurant was AMAZING, the food and service could not be beat. This time was much different. They had one bartender working a busy night with multiple table reservations. She did her best but was very overwhelmed. Then another bartender showed up. There were people waiting for tables at the door that were NEVER addressed. He did not seem to care the other bartender was drowning in table service and did not address the line of customers rolling in. Our table ordered nachos, Nantucket Rueben's, and fish and chips. The fish was DISGUSTING. It was advertised as haddock but tasted like tilapia and burned to a crisp. Burned so bad that you could not chew it. The fish in my sandwich was the same. I will not come back to this establishment. I don't know if it changed hands but it needs an entire revamp.

It's always a treat coming here, I love how safe I feel for my gluten allergies! Made reservations online and had a quick bite before a show. We shared chicken nachos and the garlic Parmesan chicken bites, YUM! The chicken is dark meat so it was very flavorful and not dry. The nachos were massive, we didn't even finish them! Our server was nice and checked in on us periodically. Can't wait till next time! read more

This place pretty much is what it markets itself as, It's a dive bar... They have a full selection of cocktails, wine and beer along with your typical menu of burgers, sandwiches etc... the service was prompt and attentive. read more

First time in Boston and I'm glad this place was suggested to me. I got the fired chicken 3 ways and it was really good. The chicken was super crispy and that is what I absolutely love. I found the sandwhich a bit too big got me to eat as a sandwhich but regardless overall super good. Big portions. Cozy atmosphere. Amazing staff. Going to the Russell Howard show at the Schubert (look him up...SO funny!) had dinner at the 4th Wall. Yummy drinks, amazing staff, great Caesar w Chicken and my husband's Bourbon Steak tips were 100%! The crowd was chill, lively atmosphere, warm and great music tracks. A really stellar pub/bar! read more

We visited this bar on Saturday, 5/17, as a group of four. A bouncer outside encouraged us to come in and try the food, so we decided to give it a shot. We sat at the bar, and while one of us went to the restroom, the remaining three of us ordered beers once the bartender made his way over. He seemed attentive at first and appeared to know what he was doing, efficiently moving along the bar taking care of other guests. About 10-15 minutes later, when he returned to our side, we tried to place an order for a fourth beer and some bacon fries. He asked for a card, which I handed over, and I repeated the order again. He took my card, came back--but never acknowledged the order, despite me repeating it twice more so I repeated it once again. At that point, I assumed he got it and was just busy. However, when he eventually returned, we let him know we were still missing the drink. He denied ever taking the order or hearing us mention a fourth drink. By then, we'd been waiting nearly 40 minutes, and to make matters worse, the kitchen had closed, so we couldn't get the food we originally came in to try. We were understandably frustrated and told him that we had clearly repeated the order. His response? He called us trash. An argument followed between him and my husband, and at that point we chose to leave without finishing our drinks. I was uncomfortable knowing he had my card, so I shut it off--and I'm glad I did. Despite only ordering three beers (around $8 each), he attempted to charge my card for $41.80, then again for $50.16, including a tip that we never authorized. On Monday, 5/19, he tried again to charge my card for $50.16. I'm unsure of the bartender's name, but he was a large, muscular guy. This experience was incredibly disappointing--not only because of the poor service, but also the verbal abuse and the unauthorized charges that followed. I would strongly caution others before coming here. read more

The best I can say about this place is that it was fine. By that I mean, neither good nor bad. The service was very slow. In fact, everyone in my party was fairly certain our server was under the influence of something. He was generally forgetful and out of it, and was regularly standing behind the bar munching on food.. this is only noteworthy because we were in a hurry and trying to eat quickly and get to a concert on time. From where we were sitting, we could see when the chef put our food out and we watched it sit there for 10 minutes while the server appeared to be in La La Land. The food itself was OK. Not great. Not horrible. We ordered brussels sprouts a couple of chicken wraps and the falafel. By far the best item was the falafel dish. The side salad that came with my chicken wrap had whole carrots in it... It was like they couldn't be bothered cutting them up. Very strange. Given that there are so many options in that area, it is doubtful that we would go back. read more

The drinks were 10/10. I had the wall burger and it's a lot of food. I could only eat half but it was good. The fries were okay. The server was handling all the tables and the bar so it took a bit to check out, but he was friendly. Affordable and I can see how this place would be slammed later at night. read more
Stopped by here after viewing their food offerings! This would be the perfect place to grab a beer and burger after a long day of work. Ample seating at the bar! Items we ordered (as of 1/2023). - Poke Tuna Nachos - $16 - Really liked the poke! Fresh and great flavor with the miso aioli. Kind of hit or miss with the Doritos though. I personally would've preferred tortilla chips with more of the miso aioli and seaweed salad as the flavor of the Doritos was a bit overpowering. - Simple Caesar Salad - $12 - Great Caesar salad. Very generous portion for the price and each leaf had a perfect amount of dressing on it. Only wished anchovies were an option. - Wagyu Hot Dog - $17 - I actually really enjoyed the hot dog. Great flavors and the chorizo really helped in the flavor department. Large amount of fries too! - 4th Wall Double Burger - $18 - I would definitely get this again. It has that great char flavor that you can only get when grilling over an open flame (unlike a flat top). Definitely would recommend. Great food (and drinks) at reasonable prices! read more
