As someone who is gluten-free it always feels like a breath of fresh hair to find somewhere that can accommodate our dietary restrictions. We came in Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy however we were seated immediately. The service was extremely quick and very friendly. We ordered the gluten-free honey barbecue chicken, and the clam chowder, which was amazing! I will definitely keep this in my rotation for when I'm back in the city!! The coleslaw was good, but there wasn't enough of it. What I would imagine to be the star of the show, the fish, was incredibly tough and difficult to chew. Usually it should fall apart! I'm trying not to think too much as to why it was like that. If I happen to have a better dish there, I would absolutely increase my rating. My friend and I made reservations here for before the Matteo Lane show at the Wang Theater! Our table was ready immediately and our server was amazing. The food was so good!!! The Brussels sprouts OMG! My friend had the Reuben and I had the 4th wall burger, but with only one hamburger patty! It was the perfect size and for the first time ever at a restaurant I had more bun than burger! I had the combat zone for a drink & she had a mai tai (or 2)! They had one bartender working a busy night with multiple table reservations. She did her best but was very overwhelmed. Then another bartender showed up. There were people waiting for tables at the door that were NEVER addressed. He did not seem to care the other bartender was drowning in table service and did not address the line of customers rolling in. Our table ordered nachos, Nantucket Rueben's, and fish and chips. The fish was DISGUSTING. It was advertised as haddock but tasted like tilapia and burned to a crisp. Burned so bad that you could not chew it. The fish in my sandwich was the same. We visited this bar on Saturday, 5/17, as a group of four. A bouncer outside encouraged us to come in and try the food, so we decided to give it a shot. We sat at the bar, and while one of us went to the restroom, the remaining three of us ordered beers once the bartender made his way over. He seemed attentive at first and appeared to know what he was doing, efficiently moving along the bar taking care of other guests. About 10-15 minutes later, when he returned to our side, we tried to place an order for a fourth beer and some bacon fries. He asked for a card, which I handed over, and I repeated the order again. He took my card, came back--but never acknowledged the order, despite me repeating it twice more so I repeated it once again. At that point, I assumed he got it and was just busy. However, when he eventually returned, we let him know we were still missing the drink. He denied ever taking the order or hearing us mention a fourth drink. By then, we'd been waiting nearly 40 minutes, and to make matters worse, the kitchen had closed, so we couldn't get the food we originally came in to try. We were understandably frustrated and told him that we had clearly repeated the order. His response? He called us trash. An argument followed between him and my husband, and at that point we chose to leave without finishing our drinks. I was uncomfortable knowing he had my card, so I shut it off--and I'm glad I did. Despite only ordering three beers (around $8 each), he attempted to charge my card for $41.80, then again for $50.16, including a tip that we never authorized. On Monday, 5/19, he tried again to charge my card for $50.16. I'm unsure of the bartender's name, but he was a large, muscular guy. This experience was incredibly disappointing--not only because of the poor service, but also the verbal abuse and the unauthorized charges that followed. I would strongly caution others before coming here. read more

I booked a reservation based on location and the YELP reviews since we were going to a show at the Boch Center/Wang. I was a little skeptical when we walked in because I was expecting more of a traditional restaurant but it's a long narrow space with a bar on one side and booth seating against the wall, with chairs across the table. It's a definite dive bar vibe with a mural recalling the combat zone days of the neighborhood and 80's and 90's music. Not to worry- everything was great. We were seated, food ordered, food served, and out of there in less than an hour. I got the Greek salad with chicken, it was delicious. Ordering is easy because you can do it right on your phone, but things got confusing when cashing out because the bartender (who was also running food) took our drink order and had it on a separate tab. My wife had the Steak Frites and I had the fish and chips. Both were exceptionally good. Steak was tender and the fish was very fresh and tasty. Great crowd. A mix of young and middle ages people.
