Oh YUM! I was afraid we missed breakfast...but NOPE they had breakfast - more specifically a breakfast burger. It was delicious. I loved my grilled blueberry muffin as well. The kids loved their chocolate chip pancake. I loved the bacon. The service was great. I wasn't sure how long it would take to seat 4 adults and 2 kids at brunch time, but it wasn't a problem. In fact one of the managers made sure we had seats that weren't stools so the kids wouldn't fall off - she was soo kind and caring. Service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was casual and comfortable but more upscale, not too much like a bar. It was nice. I definitely recommend this location. Prices were as expected for Boston.

After a full walking day spent in Boston, what a treat to find Granary Tavern! We found a table adjacent to the patio, where the refreshing breeze chased off the day's warmth and humidity. The exposed beams and original brick gave us the historical awe factor that we relished. We were greeted by an engaging waitress who promptly brought waters and filled our drink orders. Our meals came quickly. We each really enjoyed our dishes: attractively plated, tasty, and filling. After enjoying our meals, our empty plates were cleared quickly, making room for relaxing and planning in confort. Great place to relax the barking dogs after a full day of walking while fueling up for the rest of the day!

A really nice place with a really nice bartender. I did not get food just drinks, and it was a very pleasant area.

We happened upon this place on a Saturday. Nearby State street was hopping, so we opted for a block over for a quieter experience. We were seated immediately. Nice selection a a few local craft beers and nice cocktail list. Nice space. Good service. The place was moderately busy. Outdoor seating. The clam chowder was decent, as was the falafel. My wife thought the sangria was a bit sweet.

Great spot in the heart of Boston! The vibe is warm and lively, perfect for a casual night out. The food was flavorful -- especially the flatbread and the short rib. Drinks were solid too. Service was friendly, though a bit slow at times. Overall, definitely a place I'd come back to when in the area! I just take drinks!

I would rate it like a 4.5. The garlic knots were really good. Hot, buttery, great texture, and taste. The sweet potato fries were salty and cold. We left most of them over. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich wasn't spicy and the bread wasn't that good. The place is nice. I didn't get a refill of water when u drank my whole glass.

We went for dinner and tried their salmon, made with artichoke and squash and their tossed salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere of the place is amazing as well as nicely decorated for Christmas! It felt very festive .Service was excellent!

Friendly staff. Beautifully decorated restaurant. Very festive for the holidays. I was just coming in for a quick drink before going to the aquarium. I ordered the Orange Blossom, one of their specialty cocktails. It was delicious and beautifully presented. It's a nice place to just hang out. Maybe next time I will try the food.

After a fun day hopping on and off the bus and strolling around, soaking in the sights, we found ourselves craving steak. While on tour, we passed by Granary Tavern on Milk Street in Boston and decided to stop in. Our waiter, Jonathan, was incredibly attentive and friendly--his warm, accommodating attitude made the experience even better. I had the New York sirloin steak served with creamy mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, while we also enjoyed the clam chowder and mussels. For dessert, we indulged in a generous crème brûlée that was simply divine. The atmosphere was classy yet inviting, with a cozy warmth that made us feel right at home. And the drinks? Absolutely outstanding!

Fisherman's platter - not much to it for the price

I stopped here for a late lunch with a group of people while in Boston for St. Patrick's Day weekend. It was busy and we had to wait for a bit but we ended up with a nice table to accommodate all seven of us. Our waiter was very playful and interactive with the group. I ordered one of the daily specials, the fisherman's platter, and while the seafood was fresh, for $32 I received about 4 small pieces of fried fish, 4-5 fried scallops, and about 4 fried shrimp, with fries, tartar sauce, and coleslaw. This was less of a fisherman's platter and more of a fisherman's sprinkling. For that money, I wish I had received more, especially when I saw the quantity of the fish and chips for $28 that someone else at the table ordered. It was a much larger portion. The drinks were okay and the atmosphere was about average. It seems like a popular place and I would consider giving it a second chance again sometime.

This is a gastropub right next to the aquarium, which is super convenient if you plan to visit the aquarium. The fish & chips is a bit pricey but they do give you large portions so that helps. The shrimp was also good but there is a big upcharge when you add it to the salads (+12 dollars). The mussels were okay and the breakfast nachos were good. Overall, a good place to check out if you're in the mood for seafood.

Tho I've never really liked full size burgers so always been a slider fan. Damn. Let me repeat, damn. Again, damn. Super simple but so so juicy and whatever sauce they are saucing on it? My mouth waters at the memory. They are decent sized and you get 4, plus a massive tower of also very good onion rings. The onion rings were good no complaints but after the sliders nothing was going to compare so I kind of forgot any opinions I had on them. Inside is cozy, staff are fun and great, reasonable prices and good vibes anytime I've gone in. And I'll be going in again soon bc damn. A few days later I was out with friends somewhere else and we got sliders and I was so disappointed now that I've known 21st's.

We snacked on spinach dip which was pretty filling and ordered some cups of clam chowda! The chef put some southwestern flavor which I thought was fabulous, since we are from TX! We finished by ordering the plate of sliders and by far, the best pub sliders I have ever had! Everything we ate was amazing. Izzy was energetic and never let our glasses go empty! The building was historic and it felt like you walked back in time! We would go back in heart beat for sure!

We kept trying to make eye contact, but it didn't work~eventually we had to wave someone down. Even then, the response from the bar felt like it was an inconvenience just to send our server over. That said, the food was mostly good. The bangers & mash and the burger were spot on. However, the "Taste of Ireland" pies were disappointing~2 in particular missed the mark. The shepherd's pie had no mince (just potatoes and peas), & the Guinness pie was more like a beef stew than a proper pie. Overall, some strong dishes, but the service and a few key items would make me hesitate to return.
