Clam Chowder
Isha A.

4.5/5 stars. This place exceeded my expectations! Right when you walk in you're greeted with a gorgeous interior. The staff is so nice too. The food was great, however I didn't love the cocktails. Food: - Roasted Oysters (10/10): so buttery, cheesy, delicious. Favorite item on the menu, if you're going you have to order!! - Clam Chowder (8.5/10) - Chinatown Dumplings (8/10): loved the kewpie mayo - 16oz Ribeye (8.5/10): Tender and flavorful! The mashed potatoes it came with were so good. - Apple crumble (6/10): Would skip this and go for something else. Overall, a great experience and we will be back for the roasted oysters!

In the Lennox hotel is a noteworthy restaurant called Willow & Ivy. This esteemed eatery has been on my family's radar for a while and I recently was finally able to go. The entrance is around the corner from the hotel entrance, so if you're driving then park there for the valet. When you enter the first noticeable thing are the plants including a large tree near the entrance. There's a raised bar against the far wall and a few different dining areas with tables and beautiful lights and decorations all around. The atmosphere is elegant and calming. The menu is unique and it wasn't easy to choose an entree, but I went with the bolognese which was fantastic and had neat wheel shaped pasta. My starter with one of the best clam chowders I've ever had, full of clams and ham or pancetta. I also got to have some of a salad which was also great and full of interesting ingredients, with the same pancetta. We ended with a mint chocolate chip ice cream and two large warm cookies, which was a perfect dessert. The service was great as well. Willow & Ivy is a phenomenal restaurant and for sure one that anyone who enjoys fine dining in Boston should visit!

Shrimp and clam entree. Loved!!!

Phenomenal! Lordie this place blew me away. Gorgeous inside, fabulous service, and daaaamn the food knocked my socks off! The shrimp and clam entree with spinach and garlic with this gorgeous toasty bread was incredible. And my friend's burgers and fries were fantastic. Also we were too full but the melting brownie dessert looked so amazing!!

i was pleasantly surprised by this elegant gem tucked away in the lennox hotel! Willow and ivy is a small space with an upscale ambiance. It was very lively on a Monday night and we came to try their dine-out Boston prefix meal. For $55 i started with oysters, had the Bolognese, and ended with a raspberry creme brulee. The oysters were fresh and came with ample side sauces which i loved. The Bolognese was also pretty solid, I loved the big wheel noodles that were al dente and it was very saucy which I enjoyed. The creme brulee was also such a treat, I loved the raspberry accents and the tart sorbet on the side was a nice touch. Overall a pretty solid deal! Staff was very friendly and management was continously checking in.

This was in one of the neighboring hotels near mine. I checked the reviews and am so glad I stopped in. Server was very polite. The food and coffee were all delicious. The restaurant is also gorgeous.

A more accurate rating is 4.5 stars. My wife, our friends, and I were in town to move our respective children into their freshman college dorms, and we went out for a night on the town. I selected Willow and Ivy based on the strength of their reviews on Yelp and the photos of the space. It looked great. I am glad to say that it lived up to the accolades in the reviews. We were seated quickly, and we had a comfortable table for four. The bar across the room looked beautiful. It was laid out well and had plenty of seating. My wife and I are bar people when we are out by ourselves, but sit at a table when we are with guests. The rest of the space was well-lit and spacious. The great thing was it was not noisy despite the number of occupants. It was easy to engage in conversation. Our server was right there and was full of suggestions regarding the food and drink. Three of us started with the cocktail called Mr. Humo. It was amazing. I actually had two of them. We began with three appetizers that I would highly recommend - the focaccia pie with tomatoes, the dumplings, and the tuna. They were all extremely flavorful and well presented (see photos). For dinner, we each got something different including: the salmon, the lamb, the skirt steak and the Branzino. We each tried all of them and they were all fantastic. All in all, this was a great place to spend an evening with friends and truly enjoy yourselves.

In town for work and staying in the Copley area. We had an open dinner night and I found this spot and booked a reservation. The menu and ambience stood out and I was excited to try it out. The restaurant has its own exterior entrance and is part of the Lennox Hotel. We were seated promptly for our 6pm reservation and the restaurant steadily became busier as we ate. On our server's recommendation, we started with the Yellow Fin Tuna & Peach Burrata Focaccia Pie. Both were excellent and an indicator of what was to come. I went with the filet and subbed in the whipped potatoes and asparagus over the mushrooms and duck potatoes. Steak was a perfect medium-rare (or Gordon Ramsay mid-rare), potatoes light and tasty and asparagus was asparagus ha! My colleagues both went with the scallops which I sampled and loved the flavor of the ginger broth. It was also delicious to dip steak in. I always like to look at the dessert menu and appreciated that they read my mind and just placed it in front of us. We shared the decadent and showy Double Chocolate Brownie (a chocolate lovers dream!) and the Garden Strawberry "Shortcake" (deconstructed and fine, but order the chocolate!). Our server and the whole staff were attentive and welcoming despite being busy. They have been open for just 5 months and are nailing it so far. My colleague joked about returning tomorrow to try more options. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful restaurant/ bar that was something else before hand that I have ate at before. But I have not yet ate here only came here for coffee over the weekend. Some friends and I sat at the bar. There were not many people at the bar area but quite a few tables were in use. There was only one bartender I believe so I felt that the service was on the slow side especially since we only ordered coffees. I ordered the special pride latte. It had lavender and vanilla in it. But the bartender forgot the most important part which was to add the pop of color to it for pride.'They used fruity pebbles I believe for it. So I asked the bartender if he could add it and he said sure, but then that took a bit of time since I don't think he could find them at first. I would come back here to try their food as it looks good.

Brownie sundae

We swung in for a nightcap and dessert the other night, and were not disappointed. The cinnamon whiskey old fashioned is to die for if you're a whiskey drinker, and the pear martini is fresh and crisp. The brownie sundae is an experience - and you MUST try it, but only if you like chocolate, because there's a lot of it! We could have licked the plate! The honeycrisp apple dessert was also phenomenal, with salted caramel ice cream and the loveliest crisp granola on top. The service was top notch, and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself is cozy, yet slightly modern with the ivy and bricks, giving it that Back bay feel inside!

Beautifully presented Absolutely delicious salmon

BF and I had a 915 pm Saturday night reservation. We arrived a few minutes early and were greeted by a lovely hostess who explained prior diners were just leaving so we waited a few minutes for our table. Gaurav was our extremely friendly and knowledgeable server. His wonderful personality really added to our dining experience. We started our meal with the amazing pork belly adobo. It was a nice small portion for two that we both loved. We both live close by and said we'd go back for drinks at the gorgeous bar to pair with this fantastic appetizer. As for entrees, I had the fabulous salmon which was devine. My BF had the delicious pork chop. Both were quite filling and beyond our expectations. Suffice it to say HIGHLY recommend Willow & Ivy!!

Ribeye

Nice date spot/steak house vibes. Tried the foie gras (great quality), tuna (our favorite appetizer), grilled caesar, branzino, skirt steak (a favorite and very tender), and ribeye. For dessert we had the brownie sundae (visual cool but overly sweet), honey crisp apples (a table favorite), and the lime rickey crème brûlée. Service was fantastic, and we had a great night.

This is such a beautiful spot and I had a really lovely dinner here! My drink was incredible- I'd highly recommend the pear martini. For food I tried a few different plates but the scallops were divine! Probably the best and most well cooked scallops I've ever had. The ambiance here is so amazing too, overall such a good dining experience!

This place was amazing. First off the restaurant is beautiful. We walked in and were greeted immediately. We had a reservation so were taken to our table which was right outside the main dining room so a bit more quiet. The food was delicious. I had the scallops with bok choy in a lemongrass broth(?). It was divine. I can't say anything about it was perfect. My sister got the rib eye cooked perfectly to a medium rare and I enjoyed the peppercorn sauce that came with it. For desert we also enjoyed the warm cookie but substituted the mint ice cream for vanilla. I also have to say everyone was so friendly and seemed to help each other out. We saw what looked like managers bringing out plates and when our waitress had a large table to care for someone else came to check on us. I will happily come back anytime im in the city.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

The sangria was okay and the crab rangoon dip was exactly what I expected, but the squid ink tagliatelle surprisingly impressed me. The pasta itself had a nice flavor, making me wonder if they source it from somewhere or just prepare it well enough to mask its box origins. I hadn't even been that hungry, but it was genuinely so good that I cleaned the plate. Wowowow. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a low-light, wood-heavy interior featuring a mix of table, booth, and bar seating. It's the perfect ambience for a date night. The course began with the charred octopus appetizer, which was easily one of the highlights of the night. The octopus had a beautifully crispy, charred exterior while remaining soft and juicy inside. It was coated in an aromatic, slightly sweet glaze that reminded me of balsamic, adding depth without overpowering the dish. The daikon brought a subtle sweetness with hints of soy and sugar that balanced everything nicely. The greens were slightly dry and a bit overcooked, but still a pleasant addition overall. Generous portion and very well executed. I also got to try the smoked fish croquettes which were another standout. Shaped almost like crispy potato balls, they had the perfect crunch on the outside and a creamy, soft filling inside. The fish flavor was light and delicate, not overly "fishy", making them incredibly enjoyable and well-balanced. For wine, I had an Austrian Grüner selection that was sweet and crisp, yet smooth. It paired beautifully with the octopus, enhancing the glaze and balancing the char. I had to get another glass of this after my entire meal. The prosciutto-wrapped cod was visually stunning - vibrant, colorful, and thoughtfully plated with fingerling potatoes, slices of chorizo, and a bright orange confit beneath the fish. While the presentation and portion size were great, this entrée fell a bit short in flavor. The cod itself was tender and juicy, but it needed some seasoning. The prosciutto created a slightly dry crust, and a steak knife was necessary to cut through it comfortably. The confit and vegetables leaned a little too tangy and overpowered the dish. I found the fingerlings ame chorizo to be slightly over-salted, and while the chorizo had good flavor, I felt that there were too many overpowering flavors coming through. Overall, this wasn't my favorite dish of the night, though the wine paired with it was excellent. Dessert completely redeemed the experience. The mascarpone berry cake was sweet, spongy, and moist with a warm center. It was topped with a citrusy vanilla whipped cream and fresh strawberries, which added brightness and balance. Absolutely delicious. The Moscato-like dessert wine - lightly bubbly, fruity, soft, and sweet - paired perfectly and elevated the cake even more. Overall, Provisions shines in its appetizers, wine pairings, and exceptional service (thank you, Katie!). While the cod entrée didn't quite meet my expectations, the experience as a whole was enjoyable and thoughtfully curated. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you appreciate well-executed small plates and expertly paired wines!
