Everything is fresh. The desert came out really fast. The staff are nice. The ambiance was pleasant. I suggest the ices, the mango one or the strawberry one were both so good. I went with the taro.

I actually really enjoyed my dessert here! This is like Meet Fresh but with slightly different offerings. I forgot which one we ordered but it was a milky soup that was sweetened by the taro ice cream in the middle surrounded by large chunks of boba and sweet starch balls that made for a good mouth feel. If you're someone who loves dessert you can definitely eat one of these yourself - sharing may leave you wanting more.

Very unassuming on the outside but has a nice atmosphere on the inside! If you're craving something sweet and cold then this will be your jam! Items we ordered (as of 10/2024). - Strawberry Ice cream - $6.95 - Good amount with a healthy helping of mango and strawberry pieces! Ice cream had a nice flavor. - Mango Pancake - $4.95 - This wasn't bad! It's basically a mango crepe with whipped cream and mango in the center. Was definitely refreshing!

Food (4/5): Ordered the mango Waffle and Coconut Milk, Mango and Mochi. The mangos were a good amount of ripe but the quality of the other ingredients were average. Overall decent dessert. Service (4/5): Server wasn't particularly friendly but the server was helpful when asked and the food came out at a reasonable pace. Ambiance (3/5): Not the nicest looking restaurant and has minimal decorations but there is a decent amount of basic seating. It was also mostly clean and had a restroom.

BEST PLACE EVER. Spent three years in Boston for school and this was THE spot for me. As I write this review from WA I'm wistfully yearning for my mango shaved ice (sub lemon jelly add lychee). Wholeheartedly recommended! Thank you for everything Sweet Kingdom

I love mangos and was looking for a place for dessert. Sweet Kingdom in Chinatown did not disappoint. We had the mango moochi sago and it was packed with mango flavor. It was fresh and delicious! It was $8.50 plus tax coming to a total of $9.10. If your purchase is less than $10, then you'll have to pay cash. There are a few tables and stool seating inside. You would order first and your order gets delivered to you. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other desserts.

Strawberry waffle, mango (something? In the sago category)

Very solid choice for dessert in the Chinatown area! Nice seating area and lots of options (hot and cold) for different seasons. I liked the mango sago dessert (first option in the mango sago section of the menu) and found it a very solid mango sago. The strawberry waffle was surprisingly yummy, it was fluffy, came with a perfect amount of syrup, with ice cream and fresh strawberries! For those of less adventurous taste, it was a very great option.

This is a great place to go to get dessert after eating dinner in Chinatown. It is not a big place for big gathering since the seats are not too comfortable but the dessert here is good! It's not too expensive and the amount of food they give is a lot. The mango shaved ice was good. It was enough for two people to share. The service was quick. You just order at the front and they bring the food out to you. There is usually no wait so it is a good place to quickly stop by for a dessert. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in Chinatown.

My friend and I came on a Friday night after dinner. Neither of us had heard of Sweet Kingdom, but we've passed by it several times in the past. When we entered, there were very few customers. We shared the mango mochi and the strawberry milk shaved ice since there's a $10 minimum to use credit card. The appearances of the desserts were a bit surprising to us since they didn't match the menu photos. The mango pieces in the mango mochi were pleasantly sweet, but the mochi pieces were a little bland and awkwardly large. The strawberry milk shaved ice was a little disappointing to us because there were huge chunks of ice (not the tiny pieces of ice we were expecting) that weren't pleasant to bite into. The strawberry slices and the various jellies tasted good, but in the end we were just left with a cup of large ice pieces. It's very possible we ordered the wrong things, since waves of customers came in after - we should've asked them for recommendations. Overall, we had a good experience. I would definitely try some different desserts next time.

I visited Sweet Kingdom before heading to a concert for a quick dessert. Many options caught my eye, including the Mango sago, Papaya's & Bird's Nest, and the Lychee waffle. However, my friend and I settled to try the Strawberry Milk Shaved ice. There is a $10 minimum to use a debit card, so we also grabbed some fish sticks as a snack. Random, sweet, and savory. SK also sells milk teas and smoothies as well if you want something sweet to pair. There are a couple of tables and seating booths by the window. Was it a smart idea for my body-temperature to have shaved ice on a snowy winter day? Probably not, but the shaved ice was really good, and I'd definitely return back on a warmer day to try the other flavors of shaved ice.

Was slightly worried given this place's 3.5 avg rating, but the desserts we ordered was a solid 4 star. Overall portion sizes are pretty generous, 2 desserts was more than enough for 3 people. Classic Soy Pudding (4/5): Good mix of boba, mochi (taro, purple yam, and sweet potato), and soy milk. No complaints. Ice Herbal Jelly Moochi B (5/5): The matcha ice cream adds a great dimension to the dessert, as it keeps it cold and adds more flavor the the milk as it melts. Has many of the same ingredients as the classic soy pudding (boba, 3 kinds of mochi), but with ice cream!

I had the red date latte (good) and the potato taro mochi sweet soup thing warm. The soup sago thing wasn't that good. Very liquify a little bland.

Boston Chinatown is no slouch - it packs a ton of dining experiences in a few square blocks. This place serves an assortment of Asian desserts ranging from classic to more modern takes. Seating is no frills but more than comfortable. We got a bunch of things to try and they were all good. The black sesame sweet soup with glutinous rice balls was good. The kids also really enjoyed their sweet soups with taro balls. Prices were fair and they do a good job of keeping the taste authentic. I'm sure there are nicer and fancier places to grab a mango sago but this place is pretty legit. Thumbs up.

There was a short wait since they bake the cheesecakes fresh in batches, but it moved pretty quickly. The Original Japanese Cheesecake was warm, soft, and definitely lived up to its signature "jiggle." It's very different from a traditional cheesecake--much lighter, fluffier, and less sweet, almost like a cross between a soufflé and a sponge cake. If you're expecting a rich New York-style cheesecake, this isn't that. Personally, I enjoyed how light it was, and it didn't leave me feeling overly full. The staff was friendly, and the shop was clean and well organized. My only suggestion would be to have a few more seating options since it's mostly grab-and-go. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in downtown Boston or curious about Japanese-style cheesecake. I'd come back again and would like to try some of their other pastries next time.

I ordered an Ube cheesecake and repeated my order as it seemed there might have been some miscommunication. I was in a bit of a rush due to limited parking and unfortunately didn't check my bag before leaving. When I got home, I realized I had been given a different cheesecake than what I ordered. I decided to keep it rather than return, as going back to Chinatown wasn't convenient at the time. The cheesecake itself was also disappointing in texture and freshness--it felt quite soggy and not as fresh as expected. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I don't think I would return.

Portuguese Egg Tart葡撻: The shop keeps the egg tarts in a warming box, which is very thoughtful. I've always preferred the cookie crust of old-fashioned Hongkongese egg tarts; they don't crumble or feel sticky in your throat. The custard filling looked a bit overbaked on the surface, but it was still smooth and creamy inside. The milk and egg flavors were qualified, and it was not too sweet. While not particularly amazing, it definitely deserved 4 stars, especially for a Cantonese person like me who hasn't had egg tarts in a long time. Hongkongese Egg Tart蛋撻: The crust is the same as the Portuguese egg tart, but the custard filling seems a bit more diluted, with a lighter milk flavor and a stronger egg flavor. People who aren't used to it might find it a bit eggy. I still prefer the former. Custard Bread奶黃包: Recommended by the owner, and it was definitely the best thing there! I ate it the next morning, but the bread was still soft, and the crust wasn't dry. The custard filling was generous, sweet, creamy, moist, and had a slightly grainy texture. Sausage Bread腸仔包: The seasoning was quite interesting, with a hint of wasabi (?). However, the sausage itself was just average, with a slightly starchy texture. Breads generally cost $2-4 each, and here four items were only $8+, enough to last me all day Important Reminder: Cash only for orders of $10 or less.

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail. I liked the yellowtail in this a lot and found that it stood out the most from the other two fish in this particular bowl!
