Came on a Saturday around 10am for a quick breakfast. I got an iced matcha latte and the salmon avocado toast (I asked for no cream cheese). The food was prepared quickly and tasted as you'd expect. The space is bright and welcoming, and I would definitely come back to try out more of their menu. read more

The strawberry matcha was a huge miss for me, I got it with oat milk and it tasted kind of sour so I'm not sure if the milk was old or if the tanginess was coming from the strawberry. It looked really good so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately I had only a sip or two before I tossed it because it didn't taste right. I went here primarily for the matcha and it did not disappoint! One of the best matchas in Boston. I got the iced strawberry matcha with oat milk specifically and it was both beautiful and delicious! I also tried the matcha pancakes and those were okay. I would 100% go back for the strawberry matcha though! read more

My mocha Banana smoothie was really good with the begal lox. They both compliment each other and I enjoyed every bit of both. The texture of the smoothie was good as well as the chocolate flavor from the mocha and the banana adds some sweetness to it but not too much. APM is located on the ground level of a residential building on the outskirts of Chinatown. The small coffee shop is run by a lovely couple who will not hesitate to explain their menu and provide excellent customer service. As much as I wanted to love this place, I don't think this is a place I'd be frequenting often. I've tried the Matcha Pancakes, Matcha Latte, and Matcha Boom - all of which were a 'miss' for me. I get really excited whenever a cafe offers anything Matcha...unfortunately, I didn't think the taste of the matcha beverages here justify the price. I must also provide a disclaimer that the pancakes here (in all flavors) are different from the usual American pancakes you're used to; it's not the thick, fluffy buttermilk recipe or anything similar. They're slightly smaller than the size of your palm, and have a thin, chewy texture that might resemble an Asian mochi or sticky rice pastry. For the small portion relative to the price, and the unexpected texture, the pancakes were an unfortunate disappointment for me. Overall, I'd think this would be an OK spot if you're getting something 'safe' like a cup of coffee or a simple sandwich. read more

I've passed by this cafe for years on my way to South Station, and finally stopped in today after my partner remarked how delicious his bagel sandwich from APM was this morning. I'm so glad I finally did. It is relaxing and clean inside, and it's definitely a place I'd stay to enjoy if not for the pandemic! I had a very sketchy experience with this coffee shop. This coffee shop is attached to my apartment building, and the deliveries for our apartment as well as for this coffee shop arrive in the same area. They not only took my groceries, they opened up a package that was clearly labeled as mine... on top of that, they kept some of the groceries that were in there when I asked for them back. The first worker I spoke to completely denied that they took my package. The second worker I spoke to admitted that they took my package, but only gave me back part of the package and kept some of the groceries from my delivery and told me they never came. I checked delivery photos by the grocery company and in the delivery confirmation photograph the items are clearly in there. I think it's unacceptable to steal from others and then to continue lying about it. I hope they can work on their integrity in the future. read more

They recognize the regulars and seems to care about their customers and craft. I really enjoy my ice Matcha Boom (matcha & espresso ). Amazing perfect match. Using straw to sip the first touch of matcha bottom, then the second sip with the espresso top, they will tastes like heaven in the mouth. You can still taste the difference texture after mixing up. Must try. The wife always cooks some handmade sweet little bites like spoon coffee cupcakes and yummy puddings. They all perfect match your coffee. APM is a cute shop - and the two person team gets many kudos from other guests that have gone there. So because of this, and it's location close to our place, I wanted to give it a shot. Unfortunately for me, it disappointed on some fronts. Despite the woman working being very nice - and the ambiance of the shop being quite cute - my cappuccino and food were not all that good. I got a breakfast grilled cheese/sandwich of sorts - the bread was soft (not crisped up enough) and it was excessively cheesy in some spots and with no cheese on others - I had to spread my own cheese around. My coffee was way too hot, and couldn't be drank for some time. The location is good, the shop is clean, the people are nice... but I would guess that the drinks and food may be hit or miss. Maybe it's because I went on a holiday (Christmas Eve) - or maybe not. Just something to be aware of if you make the visit there. The same can be said for other local shops as well though. read more

Gorgeous interior - clean, well decorated and very inviting. The staff is also incredible helpful and kind. They have high quality products available, and a wide menu variety so everyone can find something that they'd like. The coffee was excellent - love that they use Intelligentsia. The barista working was super friendly, and they also have a lot of non-dairy options which I like. My drink was delicious! Will definitely come back for coffee. One of the downsides is that the food isn't all super fresh. Got a bacon, egg & cheese for breakfast, and it was pretty evident that the eggs had been made beforehand (the yolk was slightly discolored - harmless, but keep that in mind) and they just heat it up for you when you order a breakfast sandwich. Have yet to try their lunch menu, but will come back soon to try it. read more

Smoothie bowl not what I expected, but made with fresh ingredients. I got the acai bowl, which comes with blueberries, strawberries, dried cherries, coconut shreds, chia seeds and granola. The granola advertised was a very, very light sprinkle (like, a dusting). The smoothie base is very thin, which is perhaps not my preference. I will definitely try other things on the menu, but thought I would share the style of their smoothie bowls with others so they are aware! Taste was great! read more
