The vegetable frittata was delicious--fresh, satisfying, and a perfect light breakfast. We also shared a scone with fruit jam, which was very well made. Scones are highly subjective, but this one was exactly the style I enjoy: flavorful without being overly sweet. I didn't try the coffee myself, but my partner really enjoyed hers, which isn't surprising given Thinking Cup's reputation as one of Boston's standout coffee shops. Between the welcoming atmosphere, quality food, and excellent location on Newbury Street, I'd definitely return the next time I'm in Boston.

My kid managed to snag a parking spot right on Charles St, just a block away. Listen- this was a victory in itself because parking in Boston is a muvvafuckinng nightmare. Beacon H. is everything I thought a charming neighborhood bookstore would be. It's cozy, quaint and has so much pizzazz. The space is narrow, rooms are little and even the staircase is narrow. Doesn't matter- it just adds to its old-fashioned charm. They also have a café that I really wanted us to try, but there was a wait, so we decided to stick to books this time. Depending on the weeknd, you might have to stand in line outside- line moves quick. This is the kind of bookstore I'd love to stay in for hours especially on a rainy day because it has this warm, inviting feel. The book selection isn't huge, but what they do have is well-put together with a little bit of everything: fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, etc. If you're looking for an entire collection by a particular author, you probably won't find it here. Like take John Grisham- one of my faves- you're going to find his latest but not his entire collection. I guess that's part of the charm. Lemme mention the service which was excellent and welcoming. Bookmark checked off my list!

Bottom line was he was trying to be funny... running around & flirting w coworker (still not making drinks). Get back to the orders!!! He was talking to himself, walking in circles. It was nuts.... It took 18 minutes for him to make a 4oz espresso martini. He went to put it in a tiny wine glass & asked for a martini glass. The kids looked at each other & started arguing w me over the type of glasses they were. (Yeah, I'm particular)... telling me the martini glass was a "cocktail" glass and this wine glass was for martinis . He listened & gave me the correct glass. At one point, the girl said to the guy 'Make her drink & get her outta my face' Can you imagine?? If I would not have been called racist, I woulda kicked her a$$! WTH? I have to say the crazy guy DID make a good martini!!! What a mess!! Room is nice, loud & crowded... like a coffee shop.... But service, HELL no!
