We came here for a work lunch! Service was very kind and the line moves quickly!!! I got the fig and prosciutto panini paired with the mint fig soda! Both were delicious and the panini especially has a nice salty and sweet component to it that I think is really special! The inside of this place is very very cute, no music but a great ambiance!
I've been to multiple Tatte Bakery & Cafe locations and every single one has been cozy, inviting, and full of charm! We got the short rib grilled cheese which was delicious! Their housemade challah really hit the spot. It was just so light and crunchy. Also had the Chicken Pita which was beyond what I expected. Every bite was flavorful, balanced, and it was not heavy at all. Every single ingredient in there was just lovely and the bread itself was something I could definitely eat all day! Also had their red lentil soup paired with bread and wow! Just wow! It was a cold day and I just wanted soup but this soup really hit the park. It was creamy, velvety, and packed with spices that just made it so comforting on a cold day. We came back another time just for this soup! Definitely a great place for anytime of the day.
Our favorite breakfast while in Boston. Everything on the menu and in the display case looked amazing making it difficult to decide but we ended with: Shakshuka: delish, nice spicy sauce, eggs were runny and the challah perfect to scoop it all up. Pastries: Kouign-Amann, cherry and almond scone, strawberry turnover, Jerusalem bagel, and halva chocolate cookie. All amazing, particularly the Kouign-Amann and the halva cookie. I had to have the tahini pumpkin latte; I normally don't care for these drinks as I find them overly sweet but this one wasn't too sugary and was really nice. Highly recommend this place for breakfast, great menu options and just delicious food.
Such a picture perfect bakery and the food was very very good. I only got a chocolate croissant as my second breakfast and it was really good. The dessert case look fantastic and I was bummed that I couldn't get more treats. I just didn't want to carry it around while walking throughout the city all day. Long line but it moves really fast.
This is one of so many Tatte's in the city, I stumbled upon it while waiting for my Amtrak at South Station a mere 2 minutes across the street. Nice sitting area, a few outdoor tables. Inside is spacious and clean. The choices of both beverages and food (pastries, sandwich's, soup, salads etc) is vast and enticing. Beats waiting in the station, that's for sure. On this visit I enjoyed a liquid dinner ... an oat milk pumpkin tahini latte. Kept me full on my 6 hour train ride.
Loved the overall atmosphere in this great bakery! Plenty of options to choose from as well! The latte was delicious and almost croissant was top notch! The staff were great and recommended the lattes!
On a very cold morning in Boston, my wife and I were looking for a quick, healthy bite to eat before heading to Downtown Crossing for some shopping. We settled on Tatte Bakery & Café, and I'm glad we did. We both ordered the oatmeal--which might sound boring, but it was anything but. The overnight oats were topped with fresh blueberries, orange blossom honey-soaked dried apricots, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds. The real star of the dish was the ginger date syrup. And as a bonus, it's gluten free. Tatte is a wonderful café to sit, relax, and enjoy good, fresh food.
A nice bakery shop near South Station. They have free wifi and a lot of seatings. It's very nice sitting by the window looking at people walking by. This somehow took me back to London so it's very nostalgic. Breakfast was good, although I think it's a bit bland. The restaurant looks new and clean but restroom was noticeably quite dirty when I went, unfortunately.
Beautiful and popular place for a lot of business meetings happen at! haha. This was the first location I went to meet with my first set of brokers. The interior is beautiful and can def get overpacked - not just for the scenary but for all the bakery goodies and breakfast that they present - oh, and can't forget about their coffee too! It's the kind of service where you put your order in at the check out area, and if you're eating there, they'll hand you a number to put at your table. I usually get nervous when I have meetings so I only started out on their Chai Tea Latte. It was hot for a bit but def hit the spot once I was able to drink it in gulps haha. The staff were super friendly and were quick to get our orders. So...after all the meetings that day, we ended up going back to grab some pastries to bring back to our hotel. We may have gone a little overboard with the ordering because....we couldn't help our sweet tooth haha. And this is AFTER all them fresh baked goodies were sold out. I ended up bring home the leftovers back to RVA so that my hubby and kids could have a taste of Boston pastries. The most popular, obviously, was the brownie and the oatmeal cookie with my boys haha. LOVED the lemon tart pie and mix berry tart - highly recommend these 2!
Such an amazing cafe to enjoy breakfast/brunch at! I love the pastry display inside and the food is so good. The matcha latte was very good, and it came out really fast. I got the muesli and salmon egg sandwich, and they were both really delicious. I especially recommend the salmon egg sandwich!
I am a tatte fan and always make it a stop when I'm in Boston. I've had many items from there and have never once been disappointed. My favorites are the tomato and goat cheese toast and the croque madame. I also love their iced vanilla chai. The inside of every location is pretty much the same vibe and the service is always excellent any time I have gone. The inside is clean and smells delicious. It's truly a gem- I wish we had them in Chicago! I count down the days that I can go back. Tatte truly lives up to the hype!

I got: - salmon avocado bagel: really tasty! I think this was the best out of all of the things i got - matcha latte: meh, i shouldve gotten the latte they are most known for - chocolate croissant: it was good.. but i asked the person at the counter to recommend their best pastries and she said "Ummm... idk chocolate croissant?" So i didnt try anything new or different bc it seemed they didnt really know. All in all, it was a cute cafe with great ambience and the food/pastries were good, I just wish I had a better experience and got a different drink.

This Tatte has a lot going for it. It's close to South Station so you can stop by if you need a quick meal or a place to chill for a few hours. Service is professional, kind, and fast. On a weekday, there was little wait and plenty of seating. The selection of pastries was immense. The only downside is how loud it can get. I'm not sure if it's the tall ceilings or the music, but this is not a quiet cafe if you prefer that kind of atmosphere. I ordered the new corn and spinach shakshuka and was not disappointed. It had just the right amount of chili oil and some sliced tomatoes reminiscent of the traditional shakshuka. The zucchini was al dente and added the perfect crunch. The eggs were not poached nicely, which led to a messy appearance in the dish, but that was the only critique I had. It came with wheat sourdough which was perfectly grilled with butter and utterly delicious. read more
In the middle of that Olde Towne on the harbor, Boston, we stopped for a brief respite from the city. (Apr 2026). We wanted just a touch of tea, and happened one of the locations of Tatte Bakery & Cafe, the one on Summer Street near the Financial District. It's a rather large bright modern corner spot with huge windows facing both Summer and High streets. I am guessing around 25 seats at tables, another dozen or so at the coffee bars, more at a counter along the window. There were bright spring flowers outside, around 20 seats at tables, and maybe 10 Adirondack chairs. We got a simple black tea, with sugar and milk, and noticed that the tea is in more of an open-mesh net than a finely-woven tea bag. The tea was strong and rich with no bitterness. For a bit of lunch, we can't resist a traditional shakshuka. They say it's "North African" style: poached in a rich tomato sauce with bell peppers and onions, flavored with cumin and lightly spiced with chili. Lovely, dense, and satisfying. They have so many fresh pastries, we could not resist a creamy-textured halva muffin. A perfectly pleasant deIght to finish our tea. Tatte grew from a Boston farmers' markets to have many locations around Boston, and as far as Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC! We'll certainly keep an eye open in Annapolis and Rockville! read more

There are multiple of these around Boston and for good reason - it is so good!! The location we went to had a beautiful interior and so much seating. Their menu includes actual food, pastries, and delicious coffees/drinks. Artichoke and feta quiche and salad: artichoke, caramelized onions, sweet peas, roasted garlic, feta, and dill. Served w mixed greens. The quiche is pea and dill heavy - so if you aren't a fan of dill or peas, this is not for you. I personally thought that the dill flavor was overwhelming and you couldn't taste anything else. I loved the greens on the side though. Would probably get the other quiche instead if I were to try again. Corn and spinach Shakshuka: corn cream sauce, baby spinach, zucchini, and eggs topped with heirloom cherry tomatoes, feta, zhoug, Aleppo oil, red onion, and parsley. Served with house made sourdough. This was amazing, but I also love corn lol. It was almost like a corn chowder - slightly sweet which was really nice. The tomatoes, onion, and the zhoug really complimented the dish and added an acidic and refreshing taste to it. The only complaint I had was that there wasn't enough bread to dip! It came with four pieces but I think there should be at least 6 Pistachio croissant: while the croissant itself was standard, the pistachio filling was amazing. Black sesame latte: house made black sesame syrup w espresso. A little underwhelming but still pretty good! Pistachio latte: house made pistachio latte with espresso. The best I've ever - it's better iced! Recommend the corn and spinach shakshuka and the iced pistachio latte. read more

Went in the early afternoon and the pain au chocolate was so incredibly cold. The chocolate was just hard and solid inside the same hard and solid breading. The mint lemonade was good. The blueberry lemon pavlova had no lemon. The passionate fruit one was personally too sweet and the bottom was hard. Lighting was good and the vibes are nice. read more
Tatte (tah-tay) is a classic boston stop. So yummy and lots of locations all around. Also side opinion but similar to bridgerton i feel like boston should be nicknamed the Ton. Got the pear juice, pistachio croissant, pear tart, cookie, apricot danish. Only ate the pistachio croissant and bringing the rest home for friends! House latte was also on the sweeter side and had the sweetness of a chai latte Pear juice was v yummy and sweet. Pistachio croissant was drier/not as crisp as I hoped but still yummy! Nice outdoor and indoor seating inside. Service is fast and on the spot for pastries and coffee. Otherwise, they have a sit down brunch offering too. read more
I'm from New York and I wish that they had this bakery in New York. I would actually travel to Boston to get this again. The drinks were so good. The food was so good. The options on the menu was so versatile and all the baked goods looked absolutely amazing and they were fresh because I saw them coming from the kitchen and into the bakery glassware. The service was super fast me and my friends actually ordered a bunch of food and drinks to go so you go up to order and then they give you a number and you just wait for your food and drink. They had a long line, but we did not wait too long because they really hustled through the line with urgency. I got the smoked salmon breakfast sandwich and it was so good. I would get it again and again. I got the Matcha lemonade. It was also fabulous so refreshing and light. Please bring this place to New York is so good!!! read more

Always worth a stop after getting off at South Station for a quick coffee/hot chocolate and a tasty pastry before heading to your final destination. Very open environment with enough seating when it's not crazy busy. Staff are helpful and prompt. Our dessert choices today were delicious. I really liked the passion fruit flavor! read more
A cute modern and minimalist cafe serving up good coffee, baked goods, and hot foods. Their traditional Shakshuka is delicious and so flavorful. The pear tart was not too sweet and was not dry at all. It was so fresh and fragrant. The place has tables of all sizes. I love the decor and vibe here. The simple black and white look is very aesthetically pleasing. The chai latte here is more tea than milk and is very light. They are a tad pricey, but well worth it! read more
Decided to try the pastries at Boston's local bakery chain. There seems to be a tatte everywhere I go in the city. Pistachio croissant - super flakey and buttery. The pistachio added a nice nuttiness to it. Kouign Amann - very flakey and buttery. It's a little different than other kouign amanns I've had. This one felt a little dry. Apple Turnover - it was a solid apple turnover. The apple filling was not overly sweet. read more
Almost nine months of working in the Financial District, going to Tatte more times than I care to admit, and I STILL haven't written a review?! I have no excuse, believe me I tried. I did go for a cappuccino once, I think, and I have no complaints other than a slight wait. However for the other probably 50 times it was a pastry. Probably a Morning Bun because those things are fantabulous! Tatte consistently has reasonable prices, fast and friendly service (for pastries), and delicious, fresh, baked goods. Because I was usually on a time crunch, I never stayed for a sit down meal, but the atmosphere is open, clean, and inviting. All these things kept me coming back again and again. While a Tatte (not this one) is now three blocks away from me rather than half, I am aching to visit. This is all thanks to this location becoming a part of my morning routine. read more
Yesterday morning, we headed to @tattebakery before heading to the Boston Tea Party Museum. I got Dad the Mint Lemonade, I had the Cafe au lait, and hubby had the Cold Brew. We also shared the Pear juice, which reminded me of sugarcane juice! Dad and I shared the Scrambled Eggs Plate with tomato & goat cheese mousse. Hubby had the Croque Madame. Tatte is a beautiful cafe environment in downtown Boston with a great variety of options for breakfast or your sweet tooth. I stopped by a couple mornings on my way to work meetings in the area and had the Sausage Breakfast Sandwich - which was incredible! The flavor of the sausage was great, and it was just what I wanted to get started for the day. I ordered online, so didn't interact with any workers there, but the online ordering and pick up was easy and it was ready when I got there. If I'm in the area again, will definitely need to try some of the baked items because they looked amazing as well. read more

Food: The Black Sesame Iced Latte (with almond milk, ofc) was very OK. I was craving something sweet drink-wise which somewhat satisfied my cravings but didn't feel like the syrup was all that amazing. Service: Came near to closing time so the drink was fast! Ambiance: The store is really clean, you could totally come here to do work or study. The bathrooms are also clean which is surprising as I've been to some locations which are not as nice. Overall... it's a nice Tatte :) read more

Some say it's overrated I think it's pretty good. Only ever had a oplain latte it was not bad. I always get the French toast very good unique but was burnt one time. Can be a little dry too read more

I loved Tatte. The food, drinks, and pastries were phenomenal. The only issue was finding seating or lack of seating at this location. Besides the seating issues, I had no complaints about the food. read more
It was super modern and ethically pleasing inside. I was excited to get a latte bc of all the latte art I saw online while researching this place. Imagine my disappointment when I got my coffee in a to go cup (even though the worker asked if I was dining in/out). Then I saw a lady come in after me and she got hers in a mug so I was confused. My food was great (lamb hash). Super flavorful, gamey, and beautifully plated. read more

The ambiance here is on point. Personally found the pastry and coffee just ok. Got here on a Saturday around 9 and it was a long line to the door but it moved quickly. They have a lot of variety for seating, communal tables, bar tables and smaller booth type seating. Free wifi as well. I got the sour cherry almond scone and a latte. The scone is of the drier variety which I don't mind but it was pretty dense and I didn't taste any cherry. I did taste subtle almond flavor and they had actual almond pieces which added a nice textural contrast. The latte tasted pretty bitter but it might just be how they made it because they use stumptown beans. read more

Highly recommend!! We came twice. It's always packed to the gills but so worth it. We ordered online and ate at the Pier. What a view! Get the salmon avocado breakfast sandwich. Chefs kiss!
