Was in the area and needed a pick me up and decided on the matcha latte. Was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back.

very cute cafe! I was looking for a good nitro cold brew in the area and this one looked promising. service was quick and nice, so that was a plus! for the drink itself, it was a little expensive for what it was and the nitro wasn't as nitro-y as I wanted. also the cold foam turned chunky really quick and I was basically drinking butter... so skip the cold foam!!!! maybe the other drinks are better but I was disappointed in this coffee. they gave a cookie sample though so that was cutesy but not enough for me to like this drink :/

Wishing Cup is a community owned coffee shop near the Government Center T stop. The ambiance inside is serene, aesthetic, and wholesome. You can tell the owners built this with intention to be a pillar of stability in the area. There's plenty of seating indoors and it's a great place to get work done, go on a date, or hang out with friends to catch up. The service was super quick and the owner/baristas were sweet. They made good recommendations and answered questions. There's a wide variety of drinks on the menu. Each drink comes either in 16oz or 20oz, which is a lot, but is reasonably priced. The drinks also come with a brownie and are aesthetically displayed. We ordered 2 matchas and a coffee. The matchas were a little watery and the coffee wasn't sweet enough for my taste. However, I liked the vibe and energy in the cafe, so I didn't mind.

Cute spot to get some work done and/or study. It's located in a very convenient area and downtown is a short walk away making it great to explore afterwards. I ordered the banana coffee and the savory egg bites and no complaints! I'm a huge fan of banana coffee right now & it didn't disappoint. It also came with a complimentary brownie bite. I will say however it was freezing, which I guess is a plus when you're needing a spot to cool down while enjoying a snack/drink break!

Such a cute spot! I went up to Boston to specifically check it out and it didn't disappoint! Lauren helped us and she was wonderful---personable and able to help us pick menu items we would love. The sandwich was amazing---the bread was so good! Our dessert was great too! Both drinks were super tasty! I love how they are served with an itty bitty brownie! I loved that touch for sure! I loved being able to see how to make a wish as well. I wished for donating cat and dog food to a local animal shelter. Their choice of wishes are always so wonderful---can't to see which one wins February!

This place had a good amount of seating and a peaceful vibe in the morning. I got the air matcha which I thought was good. I wish I would've gotten the regular matcha because this one didn't have the strongest vanilla flavor. They do a program where they grant wishes once a month so my friend and I filled out a card. It seems they mostly grant wishes that also benefit the community which I thought was nice. The drinks came out quickly and baristas were helpful. The food was pretty expensive, so much so that I ended up not buying the pastry I wanted. A ham and cheese croissant was like $13? Maybe it was luxury ingredients but just be prepared for that. Overall the drink tasted good but I was a little put off by the food prices

Wishing Cup is a cozy cafe located near Government Center that serves up tasty beverages, sandwiches, and treats, all while granting a wish once a month! Their concept of customers submitting a wish to get voted on through their Instagram and fulfilled is so unique. I love that they're purpose-driven and community-oriented! They've donated clothes to children without homes (which was my friend's wish!) and really are generous and caring. The actual food and drinks were terrific as well. I tried their strawberry matcha latte and peppermint latte (which were a little sweet), but they were pretty good. I loved their Truffle Passion sandwich; I find myself craving their Parmesan Foccaccia and truffle paste! Also, I'm a big sweet treat after a meal sorta gal, so I love that each drink comes with a brownie bite. The staff are super friendly too, so I really enjoyed my visit here. The shop itself was super clean with lots of seating. This is a great spot to work from home or catch up with friends! I'll be back soon to slowly try more of their menu; I'm particularly excited about their coffee! Definitely would recommend giving this spot a try!

Air Matcha and Pecan Sticky Bun

I heard about this spot from a friend so I decided to come on a Tuesday morning around 9:30am. The space is quite large with a lot of seating, and there were only a handful of other people when I got there. It seems like a good place to do work, as they have free wifi and a number of outlets (at least by the window seats). I originally chose a table by the bathroom, but I guess something unseemly happened in there because one of the employees sprayed a ton of Febreeze right next to my table so I had to move to a different spot further away to avoid the smell of both the bathroom and the Febreeze. I ordered a large iced Air Matcha and a pecan sticky bun. I really enjoyed the matcha, as it was the right amount of sweetness paired with a distinct matcha taste. The sticky bun tasted good but it was a little on the tough side. All the employees I interacted with were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back to try out more drinks and give their food offerings another try.

I love the atmosphere of this cafe! Their large windows let in such beautiful natural lighting and there's a large seating area perfect for getting some solo work done or enjoying some food and drinks with friends! Additionally, the pristine vibe and beautiful classical music in the background help complete the peaceful vibe. As for the service, they're kind and helpful and bring your order out to you quickly and carefully. Their plates are made beautifully, especially their matcha looks like a work of art! Though I'd say this place is a little overpriced even for Boston, it's a nice stop every once in a while. Their matchas are decadent and definitely on the sweet side. Also, their food is pretty tasty and they have a good variety of unique breakfast and lunch items. Overall, this is certainly a cute spot, very instagram worthy, and has a nice pristine, almost european energy that is both motivating and relaxing!

Ambiance: 10/10 -Tons of seating -Warm/cozy interior design -Great for studying/work -Has wifi + bathrooms Service: 10/10 -Drink is conveniently brought over to you -My friend and I didn't know the cafe closed at 5pm, but the employees let us stay until 5:10pm without kicking us out or being rude and let us know gently Caramelista: 9/10 -Great balance of coffee and caramel flavors -Clean and not to sweet -Signature sweet treat with drink was a nice touch (brownie)

The Dulce Latte and the Einspänner are sooo yummy. The Einspänner is perfectly less sweet.

Wishing Cup is SOOOO cute and the vibes here are immaculate. Located near the Government Center, there's a fair amount of indoor seating with plenty of natural light and chill music. Drinks are brought to you by super sweet staff, and each drink (at least the one's I've gotten) are accompanied by a small brownie bite. Perfect place to lock in or catch up with friends.

This is the cutest new coffee spot in town! The interior is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and very spacious. Also, the staff was very kind. They were more than happy to walk through the menu and explain their favorites to us. Tried their Caramelista Latte which was delicious. Strong caramel flavor and they have a nice selection of nondairy milks to choose from. Will have to admit, their mini cannolis weren't that great. The cannoli shell tasted a bit stale & the chocolate filling felt out of place. Otherwise, we had a lovely first impression of Wishing Cup.

It's open 7am-10pm daily, is always seemingly busy but always very efficient and fast to deliver orders, and has a huge amount of comfortable seating. First visit: I tried the vegan breakfast burrito ($12), a nicely designed burrito with tofu, potato, spinach, roasted red peppers, vegan cheese, and mushrooms, served with salsa on the side. Very solid burrito. The Spanish burrito I tried another day--which came with vegan meatballs of some sort--was even better. Second visit: I got an açai bowl ($9 for the small size; $12 for regular), and added vegan protein powder ($2) blended in. It came with açai blended with almond milk, banana, strawberries, blueberries, and granola. Real good and plentiful even for the small size. Third visit: just ordered a bagel with vegan cream cheese that had tomato in it, and added some spinach on top ($5.50 total). Very generous spinach portion (for $0.50!), well-toasted bagel, and an appropriate amount of cream cheese. Very tasty. Moreover, each time I visited, I ordered a double espresso ($3.50), which was excellent. Proper espresso, deep body, strong, served with sparkling water and a piece of dark chocolate.

We walked into a space that mixes communal tables, stadium-style seating, and smaller spots to sit, making it a place where you can stop in for a quick drink or stay longer with a laptop. The interior design is one of the biggest highlights, giving the cafe a more elevated experience compared to a typical coffee shop. The tiered seating in particular creates a visual dynamic that makes the room feel more intentional than your standard coffee counter. The drinks are the main focus here, especially the matcha, hojicha, and espresso-based options. We ordered the hojicha latte, which was one of the strongest items on the menu, with a deep roasted flavor and a smooth texture. The matcha has a more traditional earthy profile and leans less sweet, which works well if you prefer a more authentic matcha taste. The drinks are on the expensive side, but the quality of the ingredients and preparation make it feel more like a specialty cafe experience rather than a standard coffee stop. The food and dessert options add another reason to visit, with items like the egg sandwich, quiche, macarons, and hojicha desserts available depending on the day. The menu is smaller compared to a full brunch cafe, but it pairs well with the drinks and gives the visit more of a cafe-and-pastry feel. Service is friendly and the staff are knowledgeable about the drinks, which helps when choosing between the different Japanese tea options. The cafe can get busy, and seating is limited compared to the number of people who come through, but the layout gives it a unique character. Ogawa Coffee works well for specialty coffee and tea lovers looking for a more intentional cafe experience in Boston, especially if you enjoy Japanese-style drinks and a thoughtfully designed space.
