Cute spot to get some work done and/or study. It's located in a very convenient area and downtown is a short walk away making it great to explore afterwards. I ordered the banana coffee and the savory egg bites and no complaints! I'm a huge fan of banana coffee right now & it didn't disappoint. It also came with a complimentary brownie bite. I will say however it was freezing, which I guess is a plus when you're needing a spot to cool down while enjoying a snack/drink break!

Such a cute spot! I went up to Boston to specifically check it out and it didn't disappoint! Lauren helped us and she was wonderful---personable and able to help us pick menu items we would love. The sandwich was amazing---the bread was so good! Our dessert was great too! Both drinks were super tasty! I love how they are served with an itty bitty brownie! I loved that touch for sure! I loved being able to see how to make a wish as well. I wished for donating cat and dog food to a local animal shelter. Their choice of wishes are always so wonderful---can't to see which one wins February!

Air matcha (I put the lid on crooked, sorry. Also I already ate the free brownie)

This place had a good amount of seating and a peaceful vibe in the morning. I got the air matcha which I thought was good. I wish I would've gotten the regular matcha because this one didn't have the strongest vanilla flavor. They do a program where they grant wishes once a month so my friend and I filled out a card. It seems they mostly grant wishes that also benefit the community which I thought was nice. The drinks came out quickly and baristas were helpful. The food was pretty expensive, so much so that I ended up not buying the pastry I wanted. A ham and cheese croissant was like $13? Maybe it was luxury ingredients but just be prepared for that. Overall the drink tasted good but I was a little put off by the food prices

Wishing Cup is a cozy cafe located near Government Center that serves up tasty beverages, sandwiches, and treats, all while granting a wish once a month! Their concept of customers submitting a wish to get voted on through their Instagram and fulfilled is so unique. I love that they're purpose-driven and community-oriented! They've donated clothes to children without homes (which was my friend's wish!) and really are generous and caring. The actual food and drinks were terrific as well. I tried their strawberry matcha latte and peppermint latte (which were a little sweet), but they were pretty good. I loved their Truffle Passion sandwich; I find myself craving their Parmesan Foccaccia and truffle paste! Also, I'm a big sweet treat after a meal sorta gal, so I love that each drink comes with a brownie bite. The staff are super friendly too, so I really enjoyed my visit here. The shop itself was super clean with lots of seating. This is a great spot to work from home or catch up with friends! I'll be back soon to slowly try more of their menu; I'm particularly excited about their coffee! Definitely would recommend giving this spot a try!

Air Matcha and Pecan Sticky Bun
    Deborah C.

I heard about this spot from a friend so I decided to come on a Tuesday morning around 9:30am. The space is quite large with a lot of seating, and there were only a handful of other people when I got there. It seems like a good place to do work, as they have free wifi and a number of outlets (at least by the window seats). I originally chose a table by the bathroom, but I guess something unseemly happened in there because one of the employees sprayed a ton of Febreeze right next to my table so I had to move to a different spot further away to avoid the smell of both the bathroom and the Febreeze. I ordered a large iced Air Matcha and a pecan sticky bun. I really enjoyed the matcha, as it was the right amount of sweetness paired with a distinct matcha taste. The sticky bun tasted good but it was a little on the tough side. All the employees I interacted with were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back to try out more drinks and give their food offerings another try.

I love the atmosphere of this cafe! Their large windows let in such beautiful natural lighting and there's a large seating area perfect for getting some solo work done or enjoying some food and drinks with friends! Additionally, the pristine vibe and beautiful classical music in the background help complete the peaceful vibe. As for the service, they're kind and helpful and bring your order out to you quickly and carefully. Their plates are made beautifully, especially their matcha looks like a work of art! Though I'd say this place is a little overpriced even for Boston, it's a nice stop every once in a while. Their matchas are decadent and definitely on the sweet side. Also, their food is pretty tasty and they have a good variety of unique breakfast and lunch items. Overall, this is certainly a cute spot, very instagram worthy, and has a nice pristine, almost european energy that is both motivating and relaxing!

The Dulce Latte and the Einspänner are sooo yummy. The Einspänner is perfectly less sweet.

Wishing Cup is SOOOO cute and the vibes here are immaculate. Located near the Government Center, there's a fair amount of indoor seating with plenty of natural light and chill music. Drinks are brought to you by super sweet staff, and each drink (at least the one's I've gotten) are accompanied by a small brownie bite. Perfect place to lock in or catch up with friends.

    Interior
    Connie L.

This is the cutest new coffee spot in town! The interior is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and very spacious. Also, the staff was very kind. They were more than happy to walk through the menu and explain their favorites to us. Tried their Caramelista Latte which was delicious. Strong caramel flavor and they have a nice selection of nondairy milks to choose from. Will have to admit, their mini cannolis weren't that great. The cannoli shell tasted a bit stale & the chocolate filling felt out of place. Otherwise, we had a lovely first impression of Wishing Cup.

Wishing Cup is one of the newer cafes that's popped up right in the heart of downtown Boston. They have a ton of seating and a wide menu, which probably explains why when we got there around 10 AM on a weekend, the place was already completely packed with no seats left. We tried their air matcha. It came with a free brownie on the side, which was a nice bonus and actually pretty good. The drink itself was alright, it had a decent matcha taste and the light, airy foam on top was a nice touch. The main downside was that it watered down pretty quickly after we got it. We also grabbed a croissant, which was served toasted. It was solid, exactly what you'd want from a cafe croissant. It seems like a popular spot with a good vibe, perfect for downtown. Just be prepared for it to be busy if you go during peak times.

Caprese sandwich, matcha latte and Fall Brûlée latte with oat milk
    Taylor S.

Ordered the Caprese sandwich which came on focaccia bread and was an extremely generous size. It was delicious and I liked that it didn't come with balsamic as I'm not a fan. They used burrata cheese and the focaccia had a really nice crunch/crispiness. I ordered their Fall Brûlée latte which was pumpkin flavored. I asked for it less sweet, but it was still a bit overly sweet for me. My friend got one of their matcha lattes that came with strawberry and was tasty but also on the sweeter side. Service was great, nice quiet music floating in the background and lots of nice green/floral touches. I would go again, but ask for even less sweetness. The drinks do come with a bite sized cookie piece which was a cute addition but I gave it to my friend as again it was on the sweeter side.

Caramelista comes with a mini brownie!
    Sarah O.

I think I found my new favorite cafe in Boston. This is the first cafe I've heard about that's a non profit so every purchase goes to charity. I got their Caramelista iced latte and it came with a mini brownie! This drink was so good and the brownie was the perfect pairing. They have spots to work from and free wifi and outlets. The staff is ultra nice (appreciated in a world where customer service seems to be waning). They have a bathroom with a passcode. I haven't tried their food, I went on a Tuesday and there was seating available. Everyone was on their laptops so I didn't feel weird being on mine. A great, central spot in the city. I don't know why anyone would go to the Starbucks right around the corner when you could be giving back to the community!

    Caramelsita with Almond milk
    Jaquelin F.

TRY THIS!! I am attending college in Boston and have been exploring new places, more specifically coffee/cafe shops. I am not your biggest coffee fan but I do enjoy it when I want it! And yes, as all places in Boston, it is kind of pricy... BUT WORTH IT!! I ordered a 16 OZ caramelsita (they also offer 20 OZ) and the total came out to be 6.69. The drink was fab; wow. It was the perfect balance of bitter and sweet! Now I did order mine with almond milk so it was a tad more watery than if you would order it with whole milk (which I do recommend, duh!) but it was still amazing and I enjoyed every sip. Additionally with every order, comes a mini brownie! It was yummy and a lovely touch. The inside is the cutest with the most welcoming decor, chairs and high tables as well as some cozy lighting, you know, dim but not dark where you'll feel like you'll fall asleep. The service was average nothing too crazy, I asked the front employee what they'd recommend but I kept having to repeat myself (it may have been the high volume of others and potentially my soft voice?) but nevertheless no stars taken off for that. Everything was great! I overall highly recommend this to locals and tourists who are looking for something cute, tasty, and rewarding for the price you pay! WILL BE COMING BACK!!

There was a short wait since they bake the cheesecakes fresh in batches, but it moved pretty quickly. The Original Japanese Cheesecake was warm, soft, and definitely lived up to its signature "jiggle." It's very different from a traditional cheesecake--much lighter, fluffier, and less sweet, almost like a cross between a soufflé and a sponge cake. If you're expecting a rich New York-style cheesecake, this isn't that. Personally, I enjoyed how light it was, and it didn't leave me feeling overly full. The staff was friendly, and the shop was clean and well organized. My only suggestion would be to have a few more seating options since it's mostly grab-and-go. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in downtown Boston or curious about Japanese-style cheesecake. I'd come back again and would like to try some of their other pastries next time.

I ordered an Ube cheesecake and repeated my order as it seemed there might have been some miscommunication. I was in a bit of a rush due to limited parking and unfortunately didn't check my bag before leaving. When I got home, I realized I had been given a different cheesecake than what I ordered. I decided to keep it rather than return, as going back to Chinatown wasn't convenient at the time. The cheesecake itself was also disappointing in texture and freshness--it felt quite soggy and not as fresh as expected. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I don't think I would return.

Portuguese Egg Tart葡撻: The shop keeps the egg tarts in a warming box, which is very thoughtful. I've always preferred the cookie crust of old-fashioned Hongkongese egg tarts; they don't crumble or feel sticky in your throat. The custard filling looked a bit overbaked on the surface, but it was still smooth and creamy inside. The milk and egg flavors were qualified, and it was not too sweet. While not particularly amazing, it definitely deserved 4 stars, especially for a Cantonese person like me who hasn't had egg tarts in a long time. Hongkongese Egg Tart蛋撻: The crust is the same as the Portuguese egg tart, but the custard filling seems a bit more diluted, with a lighter milk flavor and a stronger egg flavor. People who aren't used to it might find it a bit eggy. I still prefer the former. Custard Bread奶黃包: Recommended by the owner, and it was definitely the best thing there! I ate it the next morning, but the bread was still soft, and the crust wasn't dry. The custard filling was generous, sweet, creamy, moist, and had a slightly grainy texture. Sausage Bread腸仔包: The seasoning was quite interesting, with a hint of wasabi (?). However, the sausage itself was just average, with a slightly starchy texture. Breads generally cost $2-4 each, and here four items were only $8+, enough to last me all day Important Reminder: Cash only for orders of $10 or less.

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail.
