Great coffee shop right as you are entering the Financial District of Boston. The team is friendly and attentive and the coffee is quite good. I've had both a regular cup of hot coffee here and recently went for an iced Boston Cream latte with oat milk which was a very nice treat! Phin's has some counter seats and a few tables and chairs available and is a bright and comfortable coffee shop. Certainly worth checking out! read more

If you're not getting the bbq pork banh mi from here, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!! They have one of the best banh mi's in Boston--NO CAP!!! It's so good, that I literally had to have it twice in a week!!!! From the super crispy bread, to the perfectly pickled veggies, and the delicious meat, this banh mi comes with it ALL!! Now of course this means that their drinks are as good! Their UBE espresso latte is super delicious, especially if you love UBE!! And duh, can't go wrong with their matcha!! read more

I came to Phin Coffee House to work before some meetings while I was in Boston. It's a pretty popular coffee shop in downtown Boston. There was barely a seating open while I was there because it was so busy! That said, it wasn't too loud. I ordered a Tofu Banh Mi and a Mango smoothie. The Banh Mi was good, but I think the flavors were a bit inconsistent between bites. The mango smoothie was great and I could tell they used real mango for it! I'd recommend it -- next time, I'll try some of the coffee drinks; they seemed very popular! read more

Such a cute Vietnamese coffee cafe! The decor is open and calming, and the staff are so friendly. They gave great recommendations! We ordered the shredded beef baos and wished it came with more of the aioli. The drinks were refreshing and the Vietnamese coffee was our favorite. It was strong and had great flavor. read more

Pork Cold Cut Banh Mi (7/10): Pretty solid banh mi. Not the best I've ever had, but you can't go wrong with ordering it. Phorrito (8/10): This is actually a genius idea. It definitely tastes like pho, but is also its own unique creation. Executed perfectly! Ube Matcha Latte (7.5/10): Very good latte, and it was filled to the brim. Very strong matcha flavor. I wish there was a bit more ube inside, though. Hojicha Latte (8/10): Same as above, pretty much. Nice decor. Cozy place to study or meet up. read more

Always come here for a cortado but today I brought my workmates and tried some muffins too. The coffee is always great! It's one of the more expensive places to get coffee in Boston but it's always guaranteed to be well made. The workers are soooo friendly and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome! The muffins were nice but I wouldn't running back to get them again. The bran raisin was very nice! Loved the raisins but was a little dry! The pistachio had no pistachio flavour at all so that was disappointing. The banana nut was the best for flavour and not as dry as the others! Will be coming back for coffee as always but will skip the muffins! read more

Be prepared to wait in a line if you visit here on the weekend.. the secret is out!!! Phin Coffee House has some really great drinks (their food menu also looked very good to me) and this location is just right around the corner from South Station and Downtown Crossing which makes it super convenient to pop into. I ordered the iced ube latte (with espresso) which was delicious and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It was pretty difficult finding a table to sit at, but after waiting for our drinks to come out I was able to snag one. My only complaints are with the overall cleanliness of the cafe. The bathroom when we visited was pretty dirty and the container of free water had a gnat floating on the top, which was a bit gross. I also do wish there were more pastries served at this coffee shop.. I looked around at the display case they had and nothing really interested me. I feel like some Vietnamese sweet treats would go a long way here! read more

Cute Vietnamese coffee shop in the financial district with a wide offering of food and snacks. There are so many delicious-looking drinks, and I went with the class Ca Phe Phin, their Vietnamese coffee. Luckily, the weather was cooperating so it was perfect weather for an iced coffee. The cafe is on the small side, but there is seating for about 15-20 people. read more

Visiting Boston for the first time and this shop was recommended. It was cold and rainy when I arrived so the place was busy. I ordered a Boston Cream Latte, it was made quickly. The latte was good, not overly sweet but it was full of foam "cream" and ice. I only had what felt like a few sips. The cup was still more than half full of cream and ice but nothing to drink through the straw. There seemed to be several regulars hanging out working and having conversations. Purchased a smoked salmon bagel and chai latte. After seeing photos of their sandwiches, I expected the bagel to be a bit more stacked. A light quantity of smoked salmon on a thin schmear of plain cream cheese (I could see the bagel through the cream cheese and it was supposed to be chive I thought) a couple of red onion pieces, cucumber, couple of capers (could not really taste), no dill, and avocado. I think after reviewing the description that maybe I was given another person's order, as it does not normally have avocado unless added, and I didn't add to mine. ordered online, so maybe next time I need to ask for more of the stuff I like (cream cheese, dill, and capers)? For $13 I was not impressed. The chai was a basic hot chai - good, but nothing that wowed my socks off. They have some pretty unique drinks there like ube, turmeric honey, etc definitely want to go back and try those. It is definitely a hot spot as it is usually packed in the morning so maybe I just haven't picked the right stuff? Staff is busy so not overly friendly, but they're getting it done. Some people go on vacation for the food, but we are in it for the coffee. We took a ferry and a 15 minute walk to get here...and we were NOT disappointed. My daughter had the Boston Cream Latte and I ordered Ca Phe Phin. I can't say which one was better because they were not amazing. I'm not using exaggerative adjectives. We ranked it as our favorite coffee experience over 5 days we road tripped through the upper east coast! The roast is smooth with zero notes of bitterness. The Boston Cream reminded us of a creamy cup of chocolate milk. The coffee notes did not significantly stand out, so if that's important to you, maybe try a different option. The Ca Phe Phin is I'm more traditional Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. I was fearful that it would be overly sweet so I ordered it half sweet and it was perfect. It's hard to describe other than "delicious." my only complaint is that it went too quickly because I've room up previous coffee space. I should've ordered the large. The next time we are in Boston, you'll find us here! read more

This review is purely for the food. The Pho Burrito was an interesting concept that didn't amaze upon execution unfortunately--it was just ok. The pho broth they gave on the side was a great afternoon refresher though! The Cold-Cut Pork Banh Mi also had all the proper components, but didn't stand out in any way. Strangely, the bread seemed to be pressed thin which made chewing it more difficult. People were definitely coming more for the drinks though, to which they have an extensive selection. Easily worth trying one of them next time! read more

4 stars just because I came during peak hours. They seem to always be packed. I stopped by to grab a matcha and complete some work. Luckily was able to find seating but it wasn't an ideal spot just because how loud it gets. The food and drinks are all tasty! They have the standard drinks and some signature flavors. read more

Great service, fast despite the fact they were whipping the matcha. I'm told by my child that the matcha is an over an 8 on a scale of 1-10. My red eye with decaf espresso is beautiful. The barista took the extra measure of double checking that I want decaf shot. Salmon avocado cucumber bagel was delicious. Stopped in here for a morning coffee after getting in late the night before. I definitely needed all the caffeine to get me through the day. I ordered the ca phe phin and tried to order the coconut coffee. I say tried because the lady helpfully warned me that the coconut coffee had ice cream, and while that sounds amazing! It wasn't the right vibe for the morning. If I had time, I would have come back for an afternoon coffee just to try it! The coffee was delicious and strong! I was visiting Boston and decided to stop in. I love their drink options, very unique. The place was bright and open. Lots of tables to work in and bar seating. I got the hojicha latte as I needed my matcha fix for the day. They use chasen and whisk to make the hojicha. The hojicha itself was creamy, with astringent aftertaste, and it was nutty. Phin coffee house is such a great coffee find in downtown Boston! I tried the Boston cream latte and it tasted so creamy and delicious but not overly sweet! I didn't order any of their food options besides a pistachio muffin from their baked goods. It was really tasty as well, but I'll definitely have to come back to try more from their menu! Very cute cafe in downtown right by South Station. The food and drink options are really great and the staff are very friendly/helpful. We ordered the pho burrito, the spring rolls, and the coconut coffee. The coconut coffee is a frozen blended drink with espresso on top and it was perfectly sweetened with a hint of coconut. The pho burrito came with a small cup of pho broth to dip your burrito in and was absolutely delicious! I would recommend for anyone craving Vietnamese snacks and coffee! read more

I went during the winter and they had their holiday decorations up. They have limited seating so probably not great for working but it was really nice for hanging out. read more

My friend and I met here on a Saturday in the mid morning and easily found a table, but it was quite crowded by the time we left around 11:30am. I enjoyed a matcha latte here ($7, including a $1 surcharge for nondairy milk) which looked beautiful and wasn't too sweet which I liked. My friend enjoys their coconut water coffees. The cà phê phin is Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, and it was strong, rich, and exactly what I needed. If you're a coffee person, you need to try it. The bánh mì was super refreshing. I come here every week and order the Vietnamese coffee! It's so delicious. It take a little while to make though because the coffee slowly drips through the phin. Account for 15 minutes ahead but it's so well worth it. The service is nice and the restaurant is clean too! I only wish they would open even earlier! read more

A sleek little spot with limited seating and really good coffee. I had a Hojicha Latte which was nice to have (though I'd recommend having it with something to sweeten it a bit). I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately i wasn't impressed by any of the four drinks i tried. the ca phe phin was way too sweet for me, the matcha latte and coconut coffee were okay, and the mango smoothie was fine (kinda hard to mess that one up). However, the cafe itself is really nice inside, clean and modern. It was really busy, but the staff were efficient and got our orders out fast. read more

They are worth the hype. The cookies are like $5-6 but you're really buying a dessert for 4 people, or 4 different days. The servers are very kind and always helpful with menu questions. It can get quite busy but service moves quick. I have ordered ahead and ordered in person and never had an issue. If you are in a rush around lunch definitely do yourself a favor and order ahead. If you have time, the wait is never usually more than 10-15 mins and goes by quick. I do appreciate that the team checked in with us about 20min in and asked whether we had received our order (clearly we hadn't) but I'm highly disappointed and unlikely to return to any location of Tatte now for food. I would've prepared this simple breakfast much better at home and I'm not even skilled in the kitchen.

It took me 15 minutes to get through the line with 3 staffers handling things. I picked up the last Yuzu Strawberry Cruffin for $8. It was huge! And lots of filling. I ate half for breakfast, and saved part 2 to eat with lunch.

We opted for a pistachio cannoli and a amaretto cannoli. The cannoli were twice the size of what I was anticipating so we split one on Friday and split the other on Saturday. If I went back I'd get the amaretto again. The pistachio was mostly ricotta tasting. If you go, go early and bring cash!

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail. I liked the yellowtail in this a lot and found that it stood out the most from the other two fish in this particular bowl!
