Ordered the ca phe phin and the Boston cream latte, both coffee flavors came through and I left with a good cup of iced coffee. The cafe is on the smaller side but there's seating available as people come and go. The staff were attentive and were around to bus tables very often.
Beautifully done flat white. Brew was strong and flavor was balanced. 10/10. Easy walking distance from the apartments and HBS. If you like a simple menu with coffee using fresh beans, this is your spot.
Had walked by here to work a few times and wanted to stop in and try. We ordered 2 versions of matcha drinks, one being the matcha ube and the other the matcha paradise. The staff overall was nice especially the gentleman who was tidying up the space. Thank you sir. Now I'm a fan of da chanh drink, so my paradise was nice and refreshing, the ube was nice that it had bits of ube in there as well and not concentrated syrup. The downside for us was the matcha flavor didn't come thru at all on either iteration of the drinks, not sure if it is a ratio deal? Matcha stock deal? Or just an off day we did come near closing. All the best, probably eventually stop by again when working to give another go on a pure matcha latte and see how that fairs.
I visited the Phin coffee house next to the Atlas hotel on Western by Harvard Business school and had a wonderful experience. I tried the avocado toast - it was phenomenal. My husband loved his salmon and cream cheese bagel. Then i decided to try to the Coconut coffee. Oh.my.gosh. It was one of the most delicious drinks I've ever tried. Creamy, whipped coconut cream and strong, rich coffee poured on top. I need a Phin coffee in Minnesota! Wonderful staff!! I'll be stopping by on every trip to Boston!
I have been wanting to try Phin Coffee House for years & finally got the chance to try their drinks. They have pho burritos that come with broth to dip, which is a super unique menu item for the area! We didn't try it when we visited but instead we tried two drinks: - matcha paradise ($7.50) - iced ube matcha latte ($7.75) $18.77 total, with tip! Out of the two drinks we ordered, I enjoyed the matcha paradise more! It has seltzer water which added some carbonation & cucumbers. It reminded us of the Vietnamese limeade drink. Tasted very refreshing BUT we couldn't taste any matcha flavor. Although it was visually green, all we could really taste was citrus. The Ube matcha latte was just okay. I liked that for the Ube itself, it didn't taste like just a syrup & there was little bits of the purple yam. The reason for why it was "just okay" is because like the other drink we ordered, we didn't really taste any matcha flavor. This one tasted like mostly milk + the Ube. I would get the matcha paradise again but wouldn't come here if my main objective was to get an actual matcha drink. The matcha taste was not strong at all & flavor was hard to detect. I'd get that drink though since it was still tasty + refreshing. The drinks are kind of pricey too! Typically, an iced matcha does go for a similar price in the area but the difference is, those places have stronger matcha taste.
Great coffee shop right as you are entering the Financial District of Boston. The team is friendly and attentive and the coffee is quite good. I've had both a regular cup of hot coffee here and recently went for an iced Boston Cream latte with oat milk which was a very nice treat! Phin's has some counter seats and a few tables and chairs available and is a bright and comfortable coffee shop. Certainly worth checking out!
If you're not getting the bbq pork banh mi from here, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!! They have one of the best banh mi's in Boston--NO CAP!!! It's so good, that I literally had to have it twice in a week!!!! From the super crispy bread, to the perfectly pickled veggies, and the delicious meat, this banh mi comes with it ALL!! Now of course this means that their drinks are as good! Their UBE espresso latte is super delicious, especially if you love UBE!! And duh, can't go wrong with their matcha!!
I came to Phin Coffee House to work before some meetings while I was in Boston. It's a pretty popular coffee shop in downtown Boston. There was barely a seating open while I was there because it was so busy! That said, it wasn't too loud. I ordered a Tofu Banh Mi and a Mango smoothie. The Banh Mi was good, but I think the flavors were a bit inconsistent between bites. The mango smoothie was great and I could tell they used real mango for it! I'd recommend it -- next time, I'll try some of the coffee drinks; they seemed very popular!
Such a cute Vietnamese coffee cafe! The decor is open and calming, and the staff are so friendly. They gave great recommendations! We ordered the shredded beef baos and wished it came with more of the aioli. The drinks were refreshing and the Vietnamese coffee was our favorite. It was strong and had great flavor.
I tried the Boston cream latte as recommended by the cashier. It has a nice sweet flavor but for being a Vietnamese coffee it didn't pack the punch I was looking for. I give it a 4/5 but I would come back to try other drinks.
I had such a great experience at Phin Coffee House. I was staying at a hotel across from Harvard and originally stopped in just because it was convenient, but I'm so glad I did. The coffee is easily some of the best I've had in a long time, and the service was genuinely exceptional. After only one visit, the woman working the register remembered both my name and my order, which was such a thoughtful touch and made me feel incredibly welcome. I also tried the chicken bánh mì, and it was absolutely delicious...fresh, flavorful, and the perfect breakfast/lunch option alongside a coffee. It's rare to find a place that gets both the food and hospitality right, but Phin Coffee House does. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Cambridge. 10/10.
One of the best Viet coffees I've had! The Boston cream coffee was soo good with the whipped topping and the golden matcha was the perfect blend of sweetness. Highly recommend!
Lives up to the hype! Cute little coffee shop with a modern feel and plenty of seating. Stopped by around 8am so it was busy but service was extremely quick. I was probably in and out in 5 min. I got the specialty iced coffee as I'd heard it's really good and I was not lied too! The coffee was delicious and I loved the condensed milk in it. Will 100% be back

The only honey they have is a tumeric honey but I luckily had my own. Otherwise this matcha was yummy, would def come back and try some more of the menu. read more
Pork Cold Cut Banh Mi (7/10): Pretty solid banh mi. Not the best I've ever had, but you can't go wrong with ordering it. Phorrito (8/10): This is actually a genius idea. It definitely tastes like pho, but is also its own unique creation. Executed perfectly! Ube Matcha Latte (7.5/10): Very good latte, and it was filled to the brim. Very strong matcha flavor. I wish there was a bit more ube inside, though. Hojicha Latte (8/10): Same as above, pretty much. Nice decor. Cozy place to study or meet up. read more
Always come here for a cortado but today I brought my workmates and tried some muffins too. The coffee is always great! It's one of the more expensive places to get coffee in Boston but it's always guaranteed to be well made. The workers are soooo friendly and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome! The muffins were nice but I wouldn't running back to get them again. The bran raisin was very nice! Loved the raisins but was a little dry! The pistachio had no pistachio flavour at all so that was disappointing. The banana nut was the best for flavour and not as dry as the others! Will be coming back for coffee as always but will skip the muffins! read more

This is actually the second time I've ordered this drink, and both times they left about 25% of the cup empty. The coffee itself is okay, but the way it's prepared and served makes the experience feel disappointing, especially considering the price. The first time I let it go, but after getting the same thing again, I feel like it's worth mentioning. I just expected a little more care when making the drink. read more

Popped into this coffee shop downtown when visiting Boston and enjoyed it. No line and the coffee came out quick They had a large food menu as well as lots of yummy looking pastries and other food/drink options like energy drinks and Chobani yogurt. Peaceful vibes, great for a coffee date or remote working. Something for everyone here. read more
Be prepared to wait in a line if you visit here on the weekend.. the secret is out!!! Phin Coffee House has some really great drinks (their food menu also looked very good to me) and this location is just right around the corner from South Station and Downtown Crossing which makes it super convenient to pop into. I ordered the iced ube latte (with espresso) which was delicious and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It was pretty difficult finding a table to sit at, but after waiting for our drinks to come out I was able to snag one. My only complaints are with the overall cleanliness of the cafe. The bathroom when we visited was pretty dirty and the container of free water had a gnat floating on the top, which was a bit gross. I also do wish there were more pastries served at this coffee shop.. I looked around at the display case they had and nothing really interested me. I feel like some Vietnamese sweet treats would go a long way here! read more
Visiting Boston for the first time and this shop was recommended. It was cold and rainy when I arrived so the place was busy. I ordered a Boston Cream Latte, it was made quickly. The latte was good, not overly sweet but it was full of foam "cream" and ice. I only had what felt like a few sips. The cup was still more than half full of cream and ice but nothing to drink through the straw. There seemed to be several regulars hanging out working and having conversations. Some people go on vacation for the food, but we are in it for the coffee. We took a ferry and a 15 minute walk to get here...and we were NOT disappointed. My daughter had the Boston Cream Latte and I ordered Ca Phe Phin. I can't say which one was better because they were not amazing. I'm not using exaggerative adjectives. We ranked it as our favorite coffee experience over 5 days we road tripped through the upper east coast! The roast is smooth with zero notes of bitterness. The Boston Cream reminded us of a creamy cup of chocolate milk. The coffee notes did not significantly stand out, so if that's important to you, maybe try a different option. The Ca Phe Phin is I'm more traditional Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. I was fearful that it would be overly sweet so I ordered it half sweet and it was perfect. It's hard to describe other than "delicious." my only complaint is that it went too quickly because I've room up previous coffee space. I should've ordered the large. The next time we are in Boston, you'll find us here! read more

This review is purely for the food. The Pho Burrito was an interesting concept that didn't amaze upon execution unfortunately--it was just ok. The pho broth they gave on the side was a great afternoon refresher though! The Cold-Cut Pork Banh Mi also had all the proper components, but didn't stand out in any way. Strangely, the bread seemed to be pressed thin which made chewing it more difficult. People were definitely coming more for the drinks though, to which they have an extensive selection. Easily worth trying one of them next time! read more
Phin Coffee House is a modern matcha house also serving a few select pastries and Vietnamese bites. It's a casual spot with a small selection of seating and counter ordering. I had the matcha latte, there was a good strong matcha flavor and still was a bit creamy. 4 stars just because I came during peak hours. They seem to always be packed. I stopped by to grab a matcha and complete some work. Luckily was able to find seating but it wasn't an ideal spot just because how loud it gets. The food and drinks are all tasty! They have the standard drinks and some signature flavors. read more
This is a cozy coffee shop. It is a great spot to enjoy a warm beverage, whether it be a matcha or coffee. The staff is nice. There is a nice list of choices to select from. Great spot to get some work done, not a loud or noisy place. read more

Stopped in here for a morning coffee after getting in late the night before. I definitely needed all the caffeine to get me through the day. I ordered the ca phe phin and tried to order the coconut coffee. I say tried because the lady helpfully warned me that the coconut coffee had ice cream, and while that sounds amazing! It wasn't the right vibe for the morning. If I had time, I would have come back for an afternoon coffee just to try it! The coffee was delicious and strong! And I also got a cranberry muffin, which was delicious! read more

Such a cute little spot! The vibes are quiet, clean, and serene making it perfect for grabbing a quick drink, pastry, or some traditional Vietnamese food and locking in on your work! The service was fast and friendly so the experience overall was just lovely! Their matcha is definitely up there with some of the best in the city: it was creamy, had a high quality earthy flavor, and you're able to adjust your sweetness for the perfect balance! I would definitely recommend trying out this spot! read more
