Massive ice parfaits here that are perfect for sharing. The Misugaru Red Bean Ice Parfait was really refreshing and thankfully not too sweet. Injeolmi (rice cake) added a nice chewy texture to the parfait as well.
I love getting a sweet treat here! There aren't many Korean inspired cafes in the area that are so affordable and with great seating.
I come here specifically for the Misugaru Ice Parfait--it's the best bingsoo I've had in Boston so far. The flavors strike a perfect balance between sweet and nutty without being overwhelming. The dessert is beautifully layered, with ice cream on top, two layers of red bean, almonds, mochi, and misugaru powder, all finished with condensed milk. It's especially great if you prefer desserts that aren't overly sweet. The portion is generous and can easily be shared among three people, making it a great option to enjoy with friends.
I've been going to Caffébene for the longest time, ever since I was old enough to hop on the train to go into the city! Love, LOVE their mango bingsu! It's an item that they offer that I will continue to go out of my way for and definitely something that I always have to order whenever I visit Caffébene. It's amazing! Great flavor and all the ingredients are well balanced. Super refreshing & I highly recommend! I've tried other items as well that they offer, like smoothies and baked goods which are all very tasty, but I always find myself coming back for their mango bingsu, my favorite! Also, this is a great place to go if you're looking for a spot to get some studying done. Parking: can be tricky but there are meter parking spots around. Right by the Symphony Green Line station & Mass Ave Orange Line.

This is my go-to after Symphony plane to treat myself to an Earl gray milk tea and 3 macarons.... (yes, I'm a bit OCD about having the same thing almost every time) Honestly the primary reason I come here is because it's about the only thing open after the symphony or theatre at then Huntington (why there's not more of a cafe culture around anything hall wit all the concert goers and students I just don't understand ) The other reason is it's a chill, friendly and affordable place with a good range of dessert items, sandwiches and coffee and tea. (also a good place for a quick before symphony meal!) Definitely a highlight of the symphony neighborhood
WOW! Just wow!! I tried the misugaru ice parfait, which had layers of shaved ice, red bean, misugaru (soy bean powder), vanilla ice cream, and mochi. This was HUGE and definitely worth it. It wasn't too sweet, the ice cream had a strong vanilla flavor that paired nicely with the red bean. I'm so happy to have found a spot for korean shaved ice! The workers are friendly and my order came out quick. This is a casual spot with a lot of seating too!
A book club I am a part of met here tonight and it was my first time going to this cafe. The inside was vibrant and cute. Lots of cool architecture! The spinach grilled cheese I had was absolutely to die for. Pretty reasonably priced too. I would definitely come back!
Such a nice cafe! Staff was super friendly and it's a great place to get some work done/study. The jazz music makes it feel cozy inside. Wifi is available and lots of tables and outlets. They also have a printer that you can use! Bathroom code is on the receipt. Right now they have a back to school promo deal happening! If you are a student and spend $15, you can get a free mug or tote bag. Earl Grey macaroon (7/10) - The flavor is strong so if you like Early Grey you might enjoy it. It was just a bit too sweet for my liking. I also wasn't that big a fan of the dried tea leaves that came on top of it. Peach Green Tea (9/10) The peach green tea 50% sweet was refreshing! I would get this again. Hazlnut Latte (6/10) Comes with bits of nuts in the drink. Not too strong of a flavor. It was more milky.
I loved this cafe in Korea so I was really happy to see it in Boston. I loved their shaved ice (bingsu) and honey bread desserts in Korea but I came here after a very large and filling dinner so opted to just get a warm drink. 5/5 for their misugaru latte. If you haven't had misugaru, it's a Korean roasted multigrain powder drink that has a sweet, nutty, cereal like flavor and texture. This drink feels like a warm hug and it was so yummy here. My friend had a lavender latte and found that it had good coffee flavor but was too sweet. No stars deducted for this since I didn't try it. The interior of the cafe is spacious, clean, quiet, and very welcoming. I saw many students studying and drinking/eating here. I'd recommend for drinks, dessert, snack, and a good place to hang out or get alone time.
I went here specifically for the Strawberry ice parfait, and it did not disappoint! First of all, it was beautiful. The ice cream on top was so rich and delicious. The dessert was light and refreshing as a whole. It was huge so I'd recommend splitting it between at least 3 people (I was only with 1 other person and we couldn't finish it). I didn't love the red beans in there so next time I'd probably order it without them.
Pre-theater stop, but a more popular hang for students and their computers. Ordered a $12 turkey "panini" (see photo and menu) that was really awful deli meat on toast. Counter person openly admitted that sandwiches weren't really paninis and that if they did have a press, it probably didn't work. Look elsewhere.
Their mango shaved ice is huge. Easily shareable and perfect for the summer. Mango chunks were fresh and the ice was milky flavored

Caffe Bene's caramel latte was my favorite coffee drink in undergrad, and I have yet to find anything that beats it where I live now. So the last two summers when I've spent two weeks in Cambridge for my master's degree program, it's well worth the 40 minute public transportation journey to spend a few hours of the afternoon here. It's hard to describe what's so special about my favorite caramel latte - it's more so that it doesn't have any bad qualities. It's strong, but it's not "too" anything - too milky, too bitter, too sweet, too cocoay. It also makes me feel good. I don't even consider myself a coffee snob (though I do think I'm attuning more to the variety of qualities in recent years); I'll drink and enjoy most caffeinated beverages. This one is just really good. I stayed to read for a while since it's such a nice space, and tried a matcha latte which similarly wasn't "too" anything. These drinks are both 10/10 - maybe not universally, like I'm not saying they're objectively the best coffee and matcha ever, they're just balanced so perfectly for my tastes. The lids on the hot drinks with a convenient little mouth tube also made me realize that we've been settling for imperfect drink lid mouth holes our entire lives. Caffe Bene is a Korean cafe chain that has found its niche in Boston as one of the better late night options in a city that does not offer many after dark. Cute cafe for studying or a dessert date! My friend and I got the mango yogurt ice parfait (highly recommend this!) It was soo delicious, comparable to the ones I got in Korea. They are very generous with the fresh mango chunks. We couldn't finish this on our own, I reccomend bringing a couple friends to devour this with! read more

Yummy! The perfect combination of boba and sandwich! The teriyaki chicken is perfectly toasted , chicken is super juicy and super flavorful. I love the cheese that's melted and the combination is sooo good. The boba milk tea was OK. The boba was a little chewy. The milk tea was good. The ice parfait was my favorite part, it's literally a big snow cone. Not too sweet and the flavor was yum. I wish they had more toppings on this one because after the whipped cream was done it was so much ice. read more

They serve medium roast coffee, Bingsoo Shaved ice, Desserts, Hot & Cold Beverages & Breakfast sandwiches. Love the asian flavors offered like Green tea, Black sesame, sweet potatoes & Injeolmi (roasted soy bean). $13.45 Shaved ice was huge and is very shareable for 2-4 people! Got the Misugaru shaved ice, asked for extra misugaru powder and they gave noticeably more. Appreciate that. It had plenty of sweetened red beans and Mochi (which were not as soft as it should be though). Seating Getting a seat can be a challenge. Came for a late night quick snack. Most of the seating was still occupied (looked like students) just before closing but luckily there was one empty table for us. I've heard a lot of good things about this place and after looking at the reviews I was ready to be blown away. The experience was good not great. There were a lot of interesting items on the menu but the three items that I tried today were disappointingly mediocre. The white grape refresher was good but nothing really special that I'd find myself craving. This was the same with the strawberry mojito. Their bingsu however, exemplified their averageness. I'd say it wouldn't even be right to call it bingsu. The portion is big but most of the ice is flavorless. The flavors that it did have was again, good not great; a theme that appears time and time again. I'd come back since it's a nice place to just sit around and chat but if you're coming and expecting something amazing you're in the wrong place. read more

Came here for dessert after visiting the MFA and were super happy to see it was open late. We ordered a caramel cinnamon honey bread and each got gelato. My partner got the vanilla bean gelato and I got the coffee flavor. We both agreed the flavor was good but the texture was just a little weird and icy. The honey bread was presented beautifully and my partner enjoyed it-- kinda tasted like french toast. Service was pretty fast and the interior is huge with a ton of tables & quiet atmosphere. read more

Somebody originally got if for me to go before they met me at Symphony Hall right across the street. Then I ordered it again when I got to go in person myself. Today was my first time at caffebene! My friend and I found it and wanted to give it a try, and it did not disappoint! We both got grilled cheeses (me the spinach and her the ham) and they were so yummy! We loved how they were waffle pressed! My friend also had a honeydew milk tea with lychee jelly, which was so delicious, and they gave so much jelly in it! Finally, we got the Mango Bingsu (Mango Yogurt Parfait) and this was INCREDIBLE! So yummy and refreshing and perfect for sharing. The music was also great and such cute decor and so much seating. Amazing place to study, hang w friends, and eat amazing food and treats! This place is really spacious and had quiet atmosphere to study. I got the shaved ice parfait mango which was good amount to share with three people!! The portion size was good and it tasted really good. They had a layer of yogurt, condense milk and mango which all went well together. There were different flavors to choose from too. My favorite Korean cafe for shaved ice. I got the mango shaved ice and it saved me on a very hot day! Its shaved ice on the bottom followed by fresh mangos on the side topped with mango gelato on top. I have tried several of their shaved ice and I recommend the mango shaved ice and the green tea shaved ice. The service was nice and the vibes inside were many students studying. read more
Caffe Bene is a solid spot for when you want a place to chill with your friends or work on something. My friends and I arrived on Saturday afternoon and ordered at the front counter. They hand you a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready, and all dirty dishes can be dropped in the basin. I ordered the Caramel Cinnamon Honey Bread and Rose Latte. The rose latte came out looking really pretty, with rose petals sprinkled across the foam art. It tasted alright as I prefer a more fragrant coffee taste. The Caramel Cinnamon Honey Bread was quite filling for one person. It is a great dessert and surprisingly does not taste overly sweet. I enjoyed how fluffy and big the bread is, although its exterior was a bit crispier than I would have preferred. By the time it hit later in the afternoon, the café filled up pretty quickly with students, making it harder to find a free table. Overall, all their stuff is pretty alright minus the bingsoo. They have an extensive menu, so I would come by again to try their other drinks, desserts, and sandwiches. read more
Where's this Caffe Bene all my life? I'm always a big fan of these chains, this particular chain anyway, which are Korean dessert cafes, and are absolutely delicious, but very very overpriced. Honestly a lot of this type of stuff is overpriced even at other Asian bakery chains these days, so it's not a big deal. I like the drinks a lot, whereas the pastries are usually a little more mediocre. I definitely highly recommend checking them out when you're in this fancy college neighbourhood of Boston, especially if they're right next to a Kung Fu Tea, which is one of my favourite places. read more

Farmhouse/industrial chic meets dessert! So cute inside and plenty of menu options to please everyone. I've had the ice parfait twice now and was impressed by the size and the generosity in toppings and fillings so that there are never just bites of ice. Like other reviews say, the ice is chunky unfortunately. It's spacious inside with plenty of seating along with tables, outlets and free WiFi so there is a decent number of people quietly working in there or having conversations.
