Great place, wonderful energy! Love the tahini latte & the adjacent motorcycle shop; artsy vibe and a great playlist. Check out the Halal market next door, 1 More Rep gym around the corner, the auto shops and local boutiques. You can't beat the vibe of Blue Hill Avenue.

This is a very cool concept/place- It is connected to MadHouse motors the repair shop. Customers can see the repair shop through the windows and watch the work being done AND meet their new garage kitten (my favorite part). The shop itself is very cute and they have a huge merch wall with some quality choices. We both got lattes and loved them. I didn't try the food but they have Mediterranean options!

Really good coffee and tasty pastries. The baristas are so friendly and the inside is welcoming. The music is always on point. I usually stop by on Sundays because I can walk over and take a coffee to go, but one of these days I will bring my laptop to get some work done.

Just found my new favorite coffee shop in the Boston area. Madhouse is a one-of-a-kind coffee spot overflowing with character and caffeine. This woman-owned business brings motorcycles, Middle Eastern flair, and coffee together in a way that you won't find anywhere else. The cafe is an expansion of an active motorcycle garage so you get to watch mechanics in action while you enjoy your coffee. But don't let the garage and motorcycles parked at the door fool you. Inside is a beautiful welcoming space. The decor is inspired by the owner's childhood backyard where she learned how to work on motorcycles. Seating is under beautiful hanging plants where you are surrounded by cozy Middle Eastern decor, beautiful bench pillows, and motorcycle paraphernalia. The owner apparently studied photography and is an award winning motorcycle designer so she has a bit of an eye. Oh the coffee is spot on as well. They have all the standard coffee drinks. Their signature Tahini latte just feels like a warm hug and has the perfect mix of creamy and sweet. The homemade Baklava is so good - flaky and decadent. Service was great. Shout out to Nicholas! Lots of outlets and strong wifi for anyone looking to get work done. Also bench seating allows for groups to fit comfortably. Only street parking but there is plenty of it. Well worth going out of your way to discover this very hidden gem! Must try!

ever wanted to watch a motorcycle mechanic work on a bike while you sip your coffee? sounds like an interesting premise and it works! very good middle eastern pastries with a signature and interesting latte - the tahini latte, very delicious. the cat is SO CUTE!!!! would come back!!

Stopped in today for the first time. Casual, upbeat vibes. Fun and beautiful aesthetic. We ordered a small iced matcha, flavor was faint and earthy. It does come standard unsweetened. The small hot vanilla latte with cinnamon was well balanced with a delicious natural vanilla flavor. The small hot vanilla latte with oatmilk was delicious and well balanced. The small caramel hot latte was balanced with natural caramel flavor. All four beverages were delicious with beautiful presentation. Staff were kind and welcoming as well as patient. Definitely hope to purchase a crewneck sweatshirt in the future and would certainly return.

Amazing coffee, tea, and snacks. The atmosphere is cool and laid back. The owner and the staff are super nice. They have a super cool backstory. They also have a motorcycle repair shop. And they support hiring local and using local suppliers.

Madhouse Cafe is such a charming coffee spot in Boston that offers INCREDIBLY yummy coffee and vegan options in their food menu. The gentleman who waited on us was a native of the area and engaged in nice conversation about the area and even recommended Bar Harbor as a beautiful place to visit to view the fall foliage. Excellent service! I ordered a 16oz Americano with steamed oat-milk and pistachio syrup. He offered to make me something else if I did not like the drink. I thought that was service above and beyond! I loved the drink! My hubby ordered the Tahini Latte and was very satisfied too! This place has cool swag and plenty of relaxing places to hang out. An abundance of electrical outlets too! Toys for the kiddos and plentiful reading materials. We will go back there after our cruise! Keep up the good work!

Who would've thought such great coffee could be part of a motorcycle repair shop? A very comfortable spot to just read, visit with friends and enjoy some wonderful coffee. Very friendly and welcoming. We are coffee nuts and Madhouse Cafe is definitely worth the effort!

The ambiance here is great! The cafe is decorated nicely and very unique! I ordered the iced sweet tahini latte and really enjoyed it! Note: iced drinks only come in one size. Service was great as well!Overall, would recommend checking this place out!

I came here 4 times when in town for a conference, as this way super conveniently located to the conference center (Menino). It's open 7am-10pm daily, is always seemingly busy but always very efficient and fast to deliver orders, and has a huge amount of comfortable seating. First visit: I tried the vegan breakfast burrito ($12), a nicely designed burrito with tofu, potato, spinach, roasted red peppers, vegan cheese, and mushrooms, served with salsa on the side. Very solid burrito. The Spanish burrito I tried another day--which came with vegan meatballs of some sort--was even better. Second visit: I got an açai bowl ($9 for the small size; $12 for regular), and added vegan protein powder ($2) blended in. It came with açai blended with almond milk, banana, strawberries, blueberries, and granola. Real good and plentiful even for the small size. Third visit: just ordered a bagel with vegan cream cheese that had tomato in it, and added some spinach on top ($5.50 total). Very generous spinach portion (for $0.50!), well-toasted bagel, and an appropriate amount of cream cheese. Very tasty. Moreover, each time I visited, I ordered a double espresso ($3.50), which was excellent. Proper espresso, deep body, strong, served with sparkling water and a piece of dark chocolate.

The Platters, both the breakfast and mezze are gorgeous. Pictures attached. The interior has ample seating and is bright and beautiful. We walked into a space that mixes communal tables, stadium-style seating, and smaller spots to sit, making it a place where you can stop in for a quick drink or stay longer with a laptop. The interior design is one of the biggest highlights, giving the cafe a more elevated experience compared to a typical coffee shop. The tiered seating in particular creates a visual dynamic that makes the room feel more intentional than your standard coffee counter. The drinks are the main focus here, especially the matcha, hojicha, and espresso-based options. We ordered the hojicha latte, which was one of the strongest items on the menu, with a deep roasted flavor and a smooth texture. The matcha has a more traditional earthy profile and leans less sweet, which works well if you prefer a more authentic matcha taste. The drinks are on the expensive side, but the quality of the ingredients and preparation make it feel more like a specialty cafe experience rather than a standard coffee stop. The food and dessert options add another reason to visit, with items like the egg sandwich, quiche, macarons, and hojicha desserts available depending on the day. The menu is smaller compared to a full brunch cafe, but it pairs well with the drinks and gives the visit more of a cafe-and-pastry feel. Service is friendly and the staff are knowledgeable about the drinks, which helps when choosing between the different Japanese tea options. The cafe can get busy, and seating is limited compared to the number of people who come through, but the layout gives it a unique character. Ogawa Coffee works well for specialty coffee and tea lovers looking for a more intentional cafe experience in Boston, especially if you enjoy Japanese-style drinks and a thoughtfully designed space.
