Since I'd just eaten a large meal, however, I was not in the mood for more food, no matter how beautiful it looked. I just got a combo assortment of macarons that came in a nice sturdy plastic case (the high prices do mean some nice packaging). I ate the macarons over the next few days and they were great, with natural-tasting flavors (coffee was my fave) and a satisfying macaron texture, with the slightly crisp outside and slightly chewy inside. As a bonus, I was able to repurpose the case to hold some tiny doodads in my studio.

It's a little bit of a European vibe with the small tables and I love that there is a big window into the kitchen so you can watch the pastries being made.
