    Coffee bar.

Great neighborhood spot in this day of chain establishments. Vast coffee selection and among the best breakfast sandwiches. Reasonable pricing as well. Drama free and friendly personnel are a bonus.

The best coffee shop in Dorchester. Coffee is amazing, staff is so kind. Adorable grab and go spot to get your day started right!!

Was a really close walk from where we were staying and the ambience was really nice! We ordered an extra hot cappuccino, it was definitely extra hot but it was more of a latte. Server was really nice as well.

Fantastic coffee, really unique how they I fuse the flavors into the coffee rather than using syrups. Very reasonable prices with a great atmosphere.

Sigh*. I told myself I wouldn't be back, but I kept passing this place and it's been over a year and I'm all about second chances. A few things they did improve which I'm really happy about! They accept card now!! That's huge. And their hot drink cups are sturdy and more decent looking. The service though is still subpar and not very friendly. The inside looks exactly the same but behind the counter looks a tad more clean. My coffee though? Still had to toss. Too watery. And I love to make Lavazza coffee at home! Which is what they serve. I wish I could just see what's going on with their espresso bar. I'd love to clean it, properly set it up, and teach a few tricks on how to froth milk.

Bacon, egg & cheese, chocolate milk.

She was so excited when she found Cafe Bonjour because they had several gluten-free options on the menu. We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. We asked to sit at the bar so we could watch the cooks in action, which was really fun. The menu had all the classic breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, along with some lunch options like hamburgers and chicken wraps. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the gluten-free eggs benedict and absolutely loved it. I had the Bonjour omelet, and it was delicious. Overall, this is a fantastic breakfast spot with great food, a fun atmosphere, and solid gluten-free options.

However, it's close to Boston Common and the public garden so there's things to do to while you wait. The owner and staff are super nice and friendly. They're cognizant that people wait a long time to eat at their establishment and treat you with kindness when you're inside. It is very cramped and the tables are close together, but the rustic feeling makes it a great place to catch up with 1 or 2 friends. There's a wide variety of breakfast/brunch items, so there's something on the menu for everyone. The kitchen also is good about substitutions. Additionally, the portions are reasonable for the price, especially for the area. Most entrees come with a salad, which was a fun surprise. I got the Signature Scramble and liked the variety in the dish. The eggs did have caramelized onions, which I picked out, but there was a good amount of sauce and flavor on the plate. This place has been on my Boston brunch bucket list, so I'm glad that I've gone. I'd recommend this place to people who appreciate a good meal, but wouldn't take people who are impatient or claustrophobic.

PATTY MELT REVIEW…read more Iconic diner on the edge of Chinatown, a couple blocks east of the Expressway. It's been around for decades and it's open 24/7. More of an authentic this-place-has-aged feel than the typical diner attempt to evoke an earlier era. Went in the morning and went for a patty melt-- because I could. It's too elusive these days, so being able to not only find one but have it at breakfast, a double win. Double patty is standard, not an add-on, and fries (probably frozen, but lengthy, crisp and fluffy) are included. No onions, no rye, but lettuce and tomato-- a non-traditional configuration. Nicely browned patties that had juiciness. The ingredients weren't anything to write home about, but the execution was great all around and so was the cheerful service from a seasoned veteran. Sure, I've had better with the proper rye, griddled onions, and higher quality beef, but an easy 4 stars for the execution, value, vibe, and being able to even order a patty melt before 10 in the morning. Bonus points for a plastic ketchup squeeze bottle that was slightly warm. Breakfast items (eggs, crispy home fries, and pancakes) on a neighboring table looked good.

The American breakfast was also tasty, I was shocked by the size they gave so much food. The star of the meal was the French toast! I am not a huge French toast fan and often steer clear because most people can't get it right, but this was by far the best French toast I've ever had. Perfectly fried and full of flavor. (I'm certain the staff are aware that many of their diners express shock, once the price is disclosed...) Many folks simply make an assumption or a guesstimate, as to the price, when they see 'MP' on a menu, and this is usually based upon their prior experiences, ordering such a menu item. So, for example, I was thinking the lobster roll might be in the $40-45 range. So imagine my utter shock, when we received the bill, to see a charge for $69?? I have never in my life had such an expensive lobster roll. Yes, it was delicious, and the housemade potato chips were also great. The slaw was also good (though it was a very tiny amount...I would have liked more). But boy, did that price shock me. I would normally never have voluntarily ordered a $69 lobster roll. It simply never would have occurred to me, that a place would ever charge that much....

There were bright spring flowers outside, around 20 seats at tables, and maybe 10 Adirondack chairs.
