Croissant Breakfast Sandwich w/ Bacon & Iced Matcha Latte w/ Oatmilk
Angelina R.

This is the CUTEST cafe in Boston! The plethora of greenery, plants, and succulent (which you can buy btw!) are beautiful and create a comforting, earthy vibe. There is also lots of seating either at a table or at the bar, and large windows creating a well lit space to get work done or enjoy a bite with your friends, allowing for that true "greenhouse" effect. Aside from how nice the decor is, I will say that it gets pretty busy at peak brunch hour. It was tough finding a table to sit and it felt like I was weaving between people just to pick up my drink from the front counter. I would recommend coming either earlier or later in the afternoon. Even with the crowd, though, the service was still quick and helpful! My food and drink came out fresh after only a few minutes of waiting. I will say, the prices are a little steep even for Boston and I'm not sure I'd come back here for anything besides their matcha. I really loved their soft scrambled eggs, their signature sauce, and their toasty croissant--the sandwich was cohesive and tasty. Though the food was great, it was also something you can find anywhere else, not making it worth the trip alone, unless you're planning to pair it with one of their delicious matchas. Being the highlight of their menu, their matcha is a large portion of creamy, high quality, and sweet matcha still with that signature earthy aftertaste. I would definitely recommend it if you're a matcha connoisseur like myself, it's one of the better options in the city!

When you think of a cute coffee shop with great vibes, you're thinking of this place. It's in a great location with amole seating and excellent service. They also sell various plants in the shop. I had a tasty matcha before walking over to the nearby playground.

Super generous portions. I'm so shook because this sandwich is HUGE! I ordered the Big Chic sandwich and was not expecting this much food for the price. I paid about $20 for a quick WFH lunch including the sandwich and a strawberry matcha. The aioli adds a bit more flavor to the chicken sandwich. The chicken in the sandwich is not too different from some everyday chicken tenders but I'm still so surprised one sandwich came with so much. Tater tots over fries any day for me too. Love supporting Asian-owned small businesses. The service was excellent as well-- cashier offered me a small bag without charging extra even though I didn't end up needing it. I gotta study here more!

Visited Green Haus Cafe on a whim, and the moment I walked in I was captivated by the lush greenery. It's beautiful and almost enchanting -- I could have spent more time admiring each plant display like pieces of living artwork. The space is small, with about 10 tables, so you may find yourself sharing close quarters with others. The menu offers hot foods, teas, and coffees. I ordered a jasmine tea and, unfortunately, it just didn't work for me. I started with four pumps of simple syrup, later adding four more, trying to mask a soapy taste that lingered throughout. I couldn't get through it and ended up tossing it -- I decided not to force myself to drink something I truly didn't enjoy. Customer service was fine -- nothing above and beyond, but also nothing unpleasant. Just... okay. I did notice another customer step out with a drink, return shortly after, and request something to be added or changed, which made me wonder if others had similar experiences.

This is a really cute cafe and super cozy! I love how they also sell plants inside. The workers were very friendly, and although it took a while to get our drinks, they were very apologetic about it and I also didn't think it was that big a deal! I tried both the matcha latte and boston salt coffee. WOW!! This is genuinely the best matcha I have ever had- it had the perfect amount of sweetness and the tiniest bit of saltiness in their creamy foam. I have never before been so impressed with my matcha. And the boston coffee was also great, even as someone who never orders coffee. It was a salty cheese foam on top with a deep coffee flavor in the drink. And I didn't get jittery from the caffeine at all! I am already thinking about the next time I'll come.

I really enjoyed my experience at Green Haus Cafe and hope to be back soon! Super cute interior design, cozy vibes, wood flooring, local art, so many plants, and they have a great menu! Even with the hustle and bustle of the cafe, there is a sense of calm here. For seating, there are some tables inside, but during peak times, those definitely get filled. If the weather is nice, there are outdoor tables on the back patio too (that have umbrellas too if there is a light rain or a lot of sun). I came here with a friend with the goal of trying the matcha, and it did not disappoint! We had friendly service, and loved learning about the recommendations or new finds in the lil plant/gift section. Our drinks took about 10 minutes with a bit of a late morning rush. We sat outside and a server even brought our drinks out when they were done, which was a pleasant surprise. I got an iced matcha and my friend got a hot matcha latte. We both loved our drinks! Well prepared, not overly sweet, and not watered down. All good things! I look forward to going back and trying more of the menu. This is a place I am excited to also be in the presence of again! Green Haus Cafe is everything you want in a cafe and more!

Iced Pistachio Latte

Such a lovely little cafe filled with tons of beautiful plants. The whole space is tiny, so it can be difficult to find a seat on the weekends. Come early if you can. The service is amiable too, if you sit at the counter the baristas will make light conversation with you which is nice. I tried their Pistachio Latte and it was delicious. It had a pleasant pistachio flavor compared to most artificial flavorings. Their cupcake was mediocre though. I tried the strawberry one - it was a bit too dry and could've used more strawberry flavor throughout. Overall, I would definitely come back here though, the space is well thought out and adorable.

Great coffee! Great pastries! Friendly staff and very welcoming atmosphere! We got the Nutella Cruffin and GF brownie and cappuccinos!

Really cute cafe! They sell a bunch of plants in addition to coffee, tea, pastries, and breakfast! The service was really quick although there was a huge line after I ordered. I really liked the strawberry matcha latte because they use a strawberry puree. It is a little on the thicker side because of the strawberries. The chai latte was good but I liked the strawberry matcha better. The cruffin was also delicious. I would definitely come back to this cafe!

It is a cute little hole in the wall with succulent decors and plants for you to purchase. I've been obsessed with the strawberry matcha and it was worth getting. It is creamy in texture and the strawberry tastes real with seeds instead of chemicals like most fruit syrups. My friend got the pistachio latte and the texture was perfect, the sweetness was good, but it had a wierd bitter aftertaste that I can't I also got the strawberry cupcake, but it wasn't as good it looked.

Highly Highly Recommend the Loaded Breakfast Sandwich here! It is customizable (you get to pick the bread and the sauce on it). I got it on a plain bagel with chipotle aoli. The scrambled eggs in the sandwich was good perfectly, very creamy and fluffy! The hashbrown in the sandwich was a great addition ad well. I also ordered an iced latte with pistachio syrup and oatmilk which was just ok, I would not get it again. The matcha lattes look good so I will try that next time! The staff was very nice and patient with me while I was deciding what to order as well! The cafe is decorated very well. Lots of plants for decoration and that you can purchase! There are cute cupcakes and pasteries you can purchase as well. There is seating, but it does get busy during the weekend. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here for the breakfast sandwich and the vibes!

Cute spot filled with plants! Ample seating and outlets scattered around, making it a good space to work on a laptop, cozy up with a book, or catch up with a friend. The service was friendly and they delivered my order right to me. I ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk and an almond croissant. I enjoyed the matcha latte, which had a good amount of sweetness and matcha flavor. The almond croissant was a bit tough. Overall, a welcome addition to the neighborhood! I'd definitely come back.

This cafe gave me an ambient and calming vibe once i entered the cafe because of the plants. I had BLT breakfast bagels with matcha latte. People were very nice too.

Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, only downside is they tend to run out of a number of their menu items.

It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. Prior to visiting Boston, I did my research on things to do and places to eat. Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.

We walked into a space that stood out immediately with its design, mixing warm lighting, vintage-inspired décor, and a layout that felt equally suited for a quick coffee or a slower sit-down morning. The room had a relaxed but stylish energy, with enough seating variety to accommodate both quick stops and longer stays, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to settle in for a bit. The menu leans heavily into pastries and breakfast items, with croissants and baked goods being one of the biggest draws. We ordered a few things and found items like breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, and seasonal croissants forming the core of the experience. The croissants in particular stood out for their variety and creativity, and the coffee drinks were solid and paired well with the food rather than trying to be overly complex. The pastries felt fresh and well made, and the balance of sweet and savory options gave us room to mix and match depending on our mood. The atmosphere is one of its strongest points. It can get busy during peak hours, especially in the morning, which sometimes leads to longer lines and a faster-paced service flow. When it is running smoothly, the experience feels very polished and efficient, but crowding can affect pacing. Service tended to be friendly and professional, though the volume of customers could occasionally make the experience feel a bit rushed during peak times. It is more of a high-traffic café than a quiet hidden spot, so timing your visit makes a noticeable difference in how relaxed it feels. Overall, Tradesman Coffee Shop and Lounge is a strong downtown café option if you are looking for well-made pastries, reliable coffee, and a visually appealing space. It works best as a morning stop or casual meeting spot, especially if you are already in the area and want something more elevated than a standard chain café.
