Very sure friends themed cafe in back bay on newbury street. It gets very crowded so finding a seat can be tough and everyone is on the WiFi so it can make things slow. But the details of this place from the menu items. Titles, the bathroom, the couch and quotes is spot on! We enjoyed some coffee and read our books.
Fun!!!! Indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed the outdoor patio. Inside has more of the classic Central Perk decor and feel, but it tends to get crowded, especially on weekends. I really enjoyed my chai tea here.
Located on Newbury Street. I ventured out for a coffee shop and stumbled upon this one. It has the indoor decor from FRIENDS show and it's pretty cute. Has the iconic orange couch and a lot of decor from the show. Very inviting ambiance and staff is super friendly. I ordered the Chandler chocolate foam latte. It was delicious. Next time I'll try the "we were in a break" coffee. This location sells swag and souvenirs. Definitely check this place out if you are in town. The duck and the chick bathroom sign was super cute!
We went to Central Perk on the recommendation of a local Bostonian. Central Perk was located on Newbury Street and easy to find. The seating was comfortable. If you are a fan of Friends they had a big screen with episodes playing continuously and Friends merchandise. The staff were friendly and the coffee was good. The menu was typical for a coffee shop. It was a good spot for a quick bite and a coffee.
Loved the atmosphere! Service was very friendly and helpful. The actual coffee/matcha itself was good but not mind blowing, which is expected. It wasn't overpriced so I'd come back again to hang out and have a decent coffee.
As a die hard Friends fan... this little coffee shop is so fun to just sit, sip delicious coffee, and enjoy all the Friends' references all around me. Service is great and quick. Adequate seating. I would love to see a stage by the front window with live guitarist playing -just an idea for ya ;). That would be all the vibes!!
Was just strolling around when I came across this place. Seeing the Friends Show décor and the show-themed menu, of course I had to give it a try. The interior reflects the show as well, with the familiar logo, the big sofa area, and themed décor and merchandise throughout. I opted for Joey's meatball sub with chips and a mimosa. The meatball sub was great. The meatballs were cut into smaller pieces, which made it much easier to eat. The toasted bread soaked up the sauce really well, and the melted cheese truly sealed in the flavor. As a fan of the show, the whole experience, from décor to menu to food, made this a really fun and memorable stop. I'd absolutely come back.
As a kid from the 80-90's, tv was my life... So even if it's lame I love a movie/tv themed spot. Aside from the Friends fandom it's actually a really nice cafe. Shockingly it is hard to find a cafe/place to do work on your laptop anywhere in greater-Boston area open past 5-6pm, so I love the Central Perk is open until 9pm. During the day you may struggle to find a spot to sit with a laptop but in the evening I found it easy enough. There's a mix of tourists stopping by for a coffee and a picture and folks settling in to read/work. Like Jennifer Aniston herself, I'm obsessed with the quinoa salad- it's perfect. I have not bothered to try anything else because I love the salad and it's very filling. Sandwiches have looked good from afar. The cookie was warm and delicious, a great choco chip cookie. The staff has been super nice, they help bus your stuff and are friendly/helpful. It's become a go-to place for me. Check it out!

I was excited to see that not only did they serve food and coffee, but also alcohol! My friend and I ordered Espresso Martinis and my husband ordered a beer - they even put fun designs on the tops of each drink. One design was the turkey on Monica's head from the Thanksgiving episode which made us all laugh. I loved seeing all of the little Easter eggs throughout the cafe - they even had a big photo of the infamous water fountain on one side. Central Perk Cafe is just a fun place to hang out at - whether you are a fan or just looking for a place to study. They offer plenty of seating in the form of tables and couches inside, they also offer seating outside too. Service was friendly and they also gave great recommendations! I hope to come back some day! Check them out!
If you're a fan of the show then you should definitely stop by here! Decorated just like the show, and so many references everywhere . Lots of souvenirs to buy also. It's also a legit cafe because they have real coffee and you can buy the beans also. Huge selection of coffees and roasts, food choices and pastries, photo worthy backdrops, and friendly service I was actually almost carded here because they also serve alcoholic beverages
If you are a Friends fan, this is definitely for you. It's not kitschy or cheesy. It's a really nice coffeehouse with a perfect homage to the Central Perk. Was pleasantly surprised by the coffee too.

I grabbed the chicken salad sandwich - just look at that pic... phenomenal! I also had a blended blueberry pancake coffee. Perfection! Ok. But the best for last. The people. Shaq (not THE Shaq!) waited on us and when I tell you it was the best service I've received at a coffee shop IN MY LIFE, I'm not even exaggerating an ounce. I feel like that's even an understatement somehow. He was friendly and understanding and helpful. (Not like the guy I order lunch from during work hours at a place who makes me feel stupid bc I don't know what I want!) It was so appreciated! And when the two of us asked for pictures on "the couch" - literally jumped over his coworkers to be the one to assist us (bc by then we had bonded, lol). And no "stranger" has ever gone to such lengths to take good pictures like this man... so many angles, artistic, and funny. At the bathrooms (with purple doors and placed picture frames) I found the, cleaning. Because everyone seems to care and chip in.

We were looking for a Sunny spot to sit and have beverage to refresh ourselves after walking around. This was cute because it had this cool downstairs area and then around a different door. A lovely patio. Food was delicious. It is counter service but they were all very friendly. So much variety to choose from. It was hard to select what we wanted to eat. I love the decor. It's all about the theme of FRIENDS, the TV show so it's almost exactly like recreating the cafe that they all hung out in. read more

Central Perk can be easy to miss and walk right past, but I'm so glad I managed to squeeze a visit to this place in during my short trip to Boston. A true homage to the hit TV show friends, you'll walk in and feel like you already know your way around. And you'll even find Central Perk sweaters for sale and a wide television behind playing episodes of Friends! There are seating options both outside and inside, but I didn't have trouble finding a place to sit & camp for about half an hour. Service was chill. You can tell they're used to customers being in awe of the aesthetic. I'm sure they're all used to being busy. One thing I appreciated is that no matter how busy the counter was, there was always someone around cleaning tables expeditiously for new visitors. I ordered their seasonal red sangria, but they have plenty of other options [(red/white) sangria, food, beer, and of course coffee]. read more

I am currently visiting Boston and decided to check out Central Perk. This place is so cute with a lot of seating & outlets perfect for studying/remote classes! I don't write reviews often but what stood out to me were the workers! The barista was very kind, grabbed my trash for me, and got me water while I was in the middle of my class. I didn't catch his name but thank you so much! I also loved the Malcolm Todd/Olivia Rodrigo music playing throughout the cafe. Will be back throughout my stay in Boston for sure. read more
This was such a cute stop on my trip to Boston. As a Friends lover, I thought the decor was top notch and I liked that it wasn't trying to replicate the tv set but had decor/items that were closely inspired by the show. I ordered a sandwich and a cold apple cider with cold foam. The apple cider was absolutely DELICIOUS. However my friend waited a very long time for her veggies & hummus.. and then when we got to the park to eat, i realized they gave me a random sandwich instead of the Ham and cheese i had ordered. So overall im impressed by the decor and the drinks, but the food and service were disappointing. read more
Stopped in while walking through Newbury St. to check out for nostalgia. A little gimmicky but honestly a very pleasant experience. Outside has the signature green patio umbrellas with the Central Perk logo. Inside has Friends themed quotes, some merch and a few photo opps. No signature green couch but they did have a mural/picture of the fountain you can take a picture with. We ordered the blueberry pancake latte, apple caramel latte and the apple bread. The latte and the apple bread were both FANTASTIC. I thought it'd be an ok experience given the whole Friends theme but it really was very good. The ONLY knock I have for this coffee shop is that they only have 2 unisex bathrooms, so waiting for the bathroom might be a pain. Definitely would recommend stopping in. read more

Stopped in for coffee while walking around Newbury St one morning. It was a super cute place. There weren't many people around, which surprised me. It seems like a nice cafe to sit and work. The staff was nice and the coffee was good. The menu was pretty typical for a cafe. read more

Calling all Friends fans! I was excited that this cafe opened up on Newbury Street. I am a fan of the TV show so I was excited to see all the references to the show. To my surprise, the drinks and food were actually good too. I got the Chandler's chocolate cold foam latte, which was so tasty and one of the better lattes I've tried. I also got the Central perk bagel with cream cheese and Monica's Jam. Bagel was average but the jam was delicious. We got to sit at the famous orange couch which was comfortable but hard to eat at. Luckily they do have plenty of seating but this place was packed and everyone sought after the couch...even just to snag a photo. They do sell merch as well but this time around I didn't purchase any. It's a nice vibe inside too, you feel like you're in the show almost, a place to gather with friends! Plus they have decor to mimic the show and have photographs with stills from it. Overall a solid cafe spot whether you've seen the show or not! read more
Came here to buy a coffee for myself, and something for my daughter. They didn't have any chocolate milk on the menu, but when i asked they said they would make something from scratch for her. I really appreciate them doing that. The chocolate milk they made was fantastic, my daughter loved it. read more
Great for all fans alike- I've watched Friends, not a huge over the top fan but it was still fun to see and the staff were all super nice and the space itself was a good size and the drinks and food were good! I got the iced S'mores coffee and Bagel sandwich. So good ! Highly recommend if you're in the area ! read more

Visiting Boston and saw this place on yelp. Had to come since my friend and I are millennials who have watched Friends about a million times each. This is a vibes and pics place, I took two sips of my latte and tossed it. Just not good lol. My friend got a cold brew that she said was fine but I would not get coffee here again especially when there are so many good coffee shops in the area. Hopefully they can improve on the lattes because it is such a cute idea and they really tried to keep true to the central perk theme. read more

I want to give 100 ! Friends fans ?! this IS the place to relive it. You can buy Phoebe's grandma's cookies, Rachael's salad, Gunther espresso, Ross's sandwich with the moist maker.... everything.... and the orange is prominent all over the store- couch Ofcourse, then the cups and plates.... its all there, so well done that I realized I missed Chandler :(. The girl who helped us out was as excited as me to meet someone who knew Friends series. It was an accidental find and we had already had dinner or would have got more than Phoebe's cookie and a chocolate croissant- both were soo good and steeped in nostalgia, which nade them even softer and tastier. Ambiance is great. Prices are reasonable. Cafe has free wife and a huge student crowd was there busy on their laptops sipping coffee and crunching away some numbers or details.... soo not how the 'Friends' intended..... Lol.. Hopefully I can go back there with my own laptop and sip coffee while I wait for my friends to turn up.... read more

I wanted to visit Central Perk for the novelty of it. I grew up a Friends fan, watching with my family every Thursday at 8PM until the very end. Sitting on the orange couches was so nostalgic and sentimental for me. I ended up being very pleasantly surprised by the menu also! I had an oat milk matcha latte with strawberry puree and it was truly a 10/10. I loved all the beverage customizations they offered. You would think a place like this would be gimicky but it wasn't at all. Excellent service, warm inviting atmosphere, and great menu options. Can't wait to come back! read more

In general, I thought the cafe had great, energetic vibes. It's a must see for any die-hard Friends fan. Some might wonder if a place like this though is simply a tourist trap, and I would say yes and no. The prices are fair compared to any other cafe you'll find in the city and the food is decent! However, from my experience, the matcha left something to be desired. It did not seem like ceremonial grade and it had an odd, "manufactured" flavor to it. Though it was admittedly smooth and had a strong matcha flavor, I would not recommend it due to its off-putting aftertaste. Honestly, I feel customers might be better off getting their food or pastries than their drinks, however, I would give it a try yourself as they did seem to have some fun seasonal flavors! On the other hand, the sandwich was filling and satisfying for a fair price. The croissant was soft and buttery, the bacon was cooked well and the addition of the jam adds a nice surprising sweetness. I recommend getting the B.E.C. on any of their bun options; it's a great way to start the morning! As for the service, the workers were quick, friendly, and helpful making the overall experience run smoothly. Though somewhat crowded, the lines were not too long and I was able to find seating quickly. Additionally, the decor was true to the show and created a pleasant atmosphere for socializing. Overall, for the vibes and some pretty good food, this is the place to go! But I don't personally think it would be the best cafe for regulars or people trying to get work done due to its busy nature and non hand crafted offerings. read more

Walking in, it feels like you've been transported straight to the iconic coffee shop from the show--cue the "I'll be there for you" theme song! From the couch to the signage, every detail is like a love letter to the show, and it's as cozy as the cast made it look. The ambiance is just as lovely as you'd hope. The staff? Friendly enough to give Phoebe's charm a run for its money! Service is prompt and warm; they make you feel right at home, like you're about to meet the gang for coffee and endless sarcasm. I was mostly there for the vibes and a chance to pretend I was the "seventh friend", but I couldn't resist picking up an almond croissant. It was delicious--could it BE any tastier? Whether you're a Friends fanatic or just looking for a unique, fun café experience, Central Perk Café doesn't disappoint. They'll have you pivot-ing back in no time! read more

Such a cool cafe in Back Bay, F.R.I.E.N.D.S themed!!! Super cute, with awesome atmosphere, and lots of different coffees to choose from. Great service as well, the cashier was super polite and took the time to explain the menu to me. I ordered a regular brew coffee on the rocks with caramel sauce. Delicious! Perfect ratio, I also added some half & half cream and some extra sugar. Absolutely delicious! Great quality coffee, a must try for the aesthetic and taste for all of Boston! read more
Food: The "Chandler's chocolate cold foam latte" was AMAZING. Best iced coffee/chocolate cold foam I have ever had. It was so refreshing, and perfectly sweetened, just the way I like it. Service: The drink was fast at like 10am on a Wednesday. Ambiance: The store was sooo cute inside! Air conditioning was perfect, store was so bright and colorful. Great music, good vibes. If you are a friends lover you will like this coffee shop alot. It has plenty of seating and the vibe is obviously from the show friends. I did not have anything to eat here but I did have a cappuccino which was ok but think it gave me a little stomach ache. But besides that this place has a cozy vibe to it. Great place to meet friends for coffee or do work from. There is outdoor seating here as well. They also have an area towards the back where they sell alot of different merch. Sweatshirts, shirts, mugs, coffee. And if you see in my pictures the coffee is named after funny sayings that was in the show. read more
