Bustling cafe vibes with quick service! Stop by for a dessert after dinner or a drink while you are out in North End. Although the dessert selection is quite large, I was underwhelmed by the quality of the chocolate cake and the tiramisu. Be careful, this is a narrow Cafe with limited walking space, avoid the center walkway in between the counter and the tables when you can. That's where everyone walks and you will be bumped if you are not paying attention or standing in the way.

A friend recommended this coffee shop; it's affordable as well as delicious. Tiramisu: Their signature dish, absolutely fantastic! The cream was smooth, delicate, and light, very sweet but not cloying at all; the cake was soaked in coffee, making it soft and moist. What impressed me most was the mellow, rich, fragrant bitterness of the coffee, which wasn't masked by the cream. Please, please note that they only accept cash.

This caffe is really cozy and aesthetically pleasing but with that it is also very busy and loud (which I actually liked because it reminded me of a really touristy spot in Italy). A little bummed because they were out of Tiramisu and Cannolis. We ended up getting a Cappuccino, Chocolate cake and a Cookie. The cappuccino and cake were good but the cookie was awful, it had a ton of food color (tasted artificial). Lastly, if you opt in for table service, be ready to wait a while.

What a GEM. Super old, super classic, super unique. We popped in for a quick, warm treat to get out of the cold. Everything was amazing. Service was fast and the coffee was pretty much to die for. I loved my biscotti treat and would definitely come back for a glass of wine or a cocktail. The vibes are so great here and you will be happy, cozy and right at home as soon as you walk in the door. Cash only, but there's ATMs all over and easy to pop over to get some money.

I like how this place is right in the heart of the north end! I come here for espresso martinis and tiramisu sometimes. The espresso martinis are so creamy and delicious! They also have a decaf option, which is nice. It gets pretty busy in here and sometimes you have to wait for a table. I like being upstairs a lot more than downstairs. The vibes are a lot different between the two!

What a fun vibe! We came here on Christmas Eve and it was packed. Our group enjoyed the hot chocolate, pistachio, and espresso martinis. The cannoli was a little hard but the tiramisu was great. I'd definitely come back for drinks and dessert. It was a super festive atmosphere. Service was a little slow due to how busy it is and it is cash only (not advertised up front but in small font on the menu).

This place was busy and festive during our visits. The atmosphere was friendly and busy. I enjoyed the vibe and the hospitality. It's also neat to visit places that have history and continue to serve a great product. Some of the old coffee machines are so cool to imagine being used. I had the same milk and coffee drink on both of my visits. Smooth and not the slightest bit of being bitter. You can get them flavored but I just went with the classic. Cash only. Highly recommended.

This place was recommended by our Uber driver. Many people mentioned the place next door which is very popular. We wanted something recommended by a local and very happy we went here. We were warned it was a cash only place. We just had dinner and wanted a little dessert and night cap. We walked in and although it was very busy, we sat right away. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Even the gentleman seating people and walking around was very friendly. We tried the chocolate covered cannoli dipped in pistachio and my husband got an old fashion. This was so delicious. My husband never eats things slow as I scarfed my half. He enjoyed every tiny bite he took. He said his drink was a good pour. I really recommend this place. All the desserts looked delicious as they walked by.

Absolutely fantastic. Stopped in for a couple of drinks and dessert with the wife. The drinks were awesome. I really liked the chocolate martini. The desserts were fantastic. Biscotti and eclair. Absolutely recommend.

Nice place, right next to Mike's pastry. Cash only. I ordered a Cappuccino to go. The coffee was good. The staff was nice. Definitely to be tried once again.

    Espresso Martini Rum Cake

Great post-dinner spot! They're known for their espresso martinis, which are definitely great, but I'm sure some of their other cocktails are solid too. If you're gonna go for a slice of cake, I'd recommend the rum cake. I'm not really a cake person, but this one was super moist and delicious. Just be warned that if you're coming on a weekend, it's probably going to be pretty crowded. I'd recommend as a date spot, since the lighting is pretty dim and it feels like a more intimate spot. However, it can get a bit loud in there and it's not like it's an especially fancy spot. I'd go back!

A charming little cafe to stop by for dessert and coffee. We had yummy gelato here after a meal at Carmelina's.

Can we bring food from other places into here if we buy coffee here?

No. I asked them that and they refused.

Is the store open today on NYE? I tried calling no one picked up.

It might open at 2pm, try then. They are usually closed on Wednesday but were open yesterday bcs of the holidays.

I stopped into this place as there was room at the bar and other places seemed very busy, given that it was the weekend of the Boston Marathon. There was a QR system to order but halfway through the bartender asked me what I wanted so I placed an order that way. I ordered a glass of wine and a glass of water. The wine came but no water. The wine was served in a nice sized glass. I asked again for water and five minutes later it arrived. I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla....it was mighty mediocre. Not well presented either, but at least it was warm. When I wanted to leave, it took 10 minutes to get the bartender's attention (who always seemed to be doing something other than paying attention to the patrons.) If you are starving, and there are not other options, by all means, go here. But you might do better at a different restaurant.

I guess I lucked out because when I went (Wednesday, around 3 PM), there was virtually no line. I heard it can get super busy, so beware. This place is cash only, and the service is really straight-to-the-point. I guess they just want people in and out quickly. There's not really anywhere you can sit, so definitely just get what you want and go. The bakery itself is kept very simple and minimal. Sweets are displayed behind the glass, and there are plenty of signs along the wall that display what they have to offer. There were a lot of different goodies, but I noticed that people really only ordered the cannolis. I got a singular chocolate chip cannoli, and I think it really threw the person helping me off that I only got one to try. Pastries are packaged in a nice blue box and securely tied with a long string. The cannoli itself tasted pretty nice, but I wish there were more chocolate chips other than the ones that coated the areas of visible filling. I liked that the shell was crunchy and flaky. I can't say much because this was my first time having a cannoli, so I have no point of comparison. Not sure if I can eat a lot of it in one sitting.
