I dropped in here with family for lunch before a Red Sox game thinking the options looked like something everyone could enjoy, as my cousin is vegan. The restaurant is small and well decorated, with a casual upscale feel. We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks; it seemed right away that our waitress was a bit inattentive, as she walked away just as my mom was trying to ask a question about the menu. I ordered the Nutella Latte (for $8, holy smokes!) and a falafel bowl- both decent, but not outstanding. I wouldn't have paid $8 for the coffee if I had seen the size and nature of what I was getting, and wouldn't order it again. For that price I expected something fancy- it was not that. The falafel was okay- but the portion was small, and I've had better (both in texture and in flavor) many times before. Overall, I wasn't wowed- I found it overpriced for what we got both in food and service. One other item of note - the women's bathroom door didn't lock, yet the lock clicked and seemed as if it had. Imagine my surprise when one of the wait staff popped the door open when I was in there! That should be fixed right away.
Very relaxing and chill cafe. We came here for their Mascarpone Pancakes and it did not disappoint! The pancakes were so fluffy yet crispy on the outside. I love pancakes that are more on the sweeter side rather than savory! The pancakes remind of the Japanese fluffy pancakes. This is definitely a must try!!! I also got the smoked salmon eggs benedict breakfast. It was 10/10 my eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. It was perfect. I definitely enjoyed the ambiance here for a Saturday morning, it was not too busy and it was very peaceful.
Amazing French toast, and my son said chicken sandwich was very good. Serice was slow on Saturday for lunch.
Delightful Mediterranean restaurant in North End. We came here for breakfast. Had the shakshuka eggs and the zucchini pancakes, fresh OJ and Fatima's tea. Everything was delicious. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere. The server was very mindful and accommodating of our food allergies. The Fatima's pot was so fragrant and not like anything I'd had before. Overall an excellent experience!
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Excellent food, but the service was a little slow. We were looking for a breakfast spot in the area and they had good yelp ratings and an intriguing Mediterranean-centric menu. When we got there we were impressed by the nice decor and relaxed, laid back "mood". I stated things off with a coffee, which was excellent. The hubby got the Falafel bowl, which had nice crisp falafels, and the accompanying pitas were great also. I got the Smoked salmon Benedict, which I enjoyed, although I thought the side salad was a bit overdressed. While our server was very nice, things took a while to come out. If you're ok with a leisurely breakfast/brunch, Mood is worth a look.
Tried Mood Restaurant in the North End and... yeah, the food absolutely lives up to the hype. We ordered the mascarpone pancakes (ridiculous in the best way), a turkey and ham croissant sandwich what had no business being that good, and steak & eggs that felt like someone actually cared about breakfast again. Drinks were just as fun vegan eggnog plus a pistachio latte (don't question it, just order it) and a pink non-alcoholic situation that tasted like brunch decided to dress up. Now let's address the elephant sitting at the table with no water: the service. Everyone complaining? They're not wrong. It's slow. Like... "you start reconsidering your life choices while waiting for a bottle of water so you can serve yourself" slow. And yes, management should absolutely just lean into reality and overstaff the place. It would solve everything. BUT and this is important, if you walk in knowing that, you're fine. The staff, when they get to you, are genuinely kind and friendly. It's not bad service, it's just... delayed service. Also, if you've got green hair and are confidently pulling off a look that says "I am both the main character and the plot twist," you will feel right at home here. I don't fully understand it, but I respect the commitment. Just thought people should know going in, just like the delayed service. Bottom line: incredible food, good vibes, patience required. I'll absolutely be back... and I might bring my own water bottle next time just to stay ahead of things.
It was an absolute crime against humanity that I was the only person inside this restaurant! Buried in the touristy "Italian" part of town is a restaurant that is doing its own though with a unique take on Mediterranean cuisine. I got a swordfish dish and it was as delicious as it was gorgeous. The plating was immaculate. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I paired it with a local Cold IPA from the liquor store one block over because this place is BYOB. I was so impressed with the food that I did something I almost never do: I ordered dessert. I went with the pistachio cheesecake, and, like the swordfish, it was something special. Please skip chicken parm at the darkly lit Italian American restaurants with long lines and come directly here, you won't regret it!
Get the orange juice!! It's SO good. They juice it right in front of you, and you can taste how fresh it is. Totally worth the $8 glass. I enjoyed my Greek salad and my boyfriend liked the smoked salmon Benedict. Food was fresh, colorful, and tasty. A bit pricey but to be expected when in the city. Our server was training and she was wonderful -- friendly, funny, and attentive! The manager checked in on us as well which was nice. The inside is so pretty!
Super cute spot in the North End with a delicious menu! We came in the evening for their dinner menu and were still able to order coffee drinks too. The must try are the pistachio lattes! We split the fried halloumi, Greek fries, and sword fish kebab for food. We loved how unique and filling the food was. My favorite was definitely the fried halloumi. The star of the show was definitely the baklava cheesecake so don't leave without ordering it! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, our food also came out pretty quick! Stop by if you're in the area!
Was busy on a Sunday during brunch but didnt have to wait long for a table. Interior is nice and classy. Food comes pretty quickly too. We got the falafel bowl and shakshuka and both were very yummy and flavorful! The pita was nicely toasty too. Overall pretty good experience!
The food here was absolutely delicious!! We had the chef's pics and they were all three delicious!! If we were in Boston tomorrow, we would eat here again!! The latte was good too but the food was the best breakfast I have had by far...flavorful, delicious, fresh and perfect portions! Good service and atmosphere too- we loved it!!

I cannot express enough how much I loved this place when visiting Boston. My friend and I were wanting a late breakfast/lunch and found this place online. We came at the most perfect time and got a table right by the open window. This place was so quaint and the waitress was amazing. We kinda ordered a bit of everything and it was all so delicious and perfect. Presentation was beautiful, portion sizes were great, and taste was just amazing. Everything tasted so fresh, and I just thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. If ever in the area do not pass this place up.

Being a Mediterranean restaurant surrounded by all the Italian restaurants in the North End could easily get lost in the shuffle, but Mood Restaurant & Cafe absolutely has its own identity. I think it's really cool to have that kind of variety in the neighborhood. When you walk in, there's a nice mix of seating. There's seating by the windows, booth-style seating, and other tables throughout the restaurant. I really liked being able to sit where I could get some natural light. You can also somewhat see into the open kitchen, including where the coffee is being made, which gives the space a little extra energy. One accessibility note: like many places in the North End, this restaurant isn't particularly accessible for people using wheelchairs or other adaptive devices. There are about three or four stairs to get inside, so that's something to be aware of before visiting. Now, let's get to the FOOD because I was specifically craving chicken kebabs and Mood delivered! I ordered the chicken shish kebab, and both the flavor and the overall presentation were delicious. When the plate first came out, I was actually nervous because the portion looked a little small. But I was full at the end. So don't let the initial portion size fool you. At least with the chicken shish kebab, it was definitely more filling than it looked. And then there was coffee. I'm not normally a coffee drinker, but sometimes the little things matter. I've been to several restaurants, especially French restaurants, where they don't have white sugar, and if I'm going to indulge in coffee, I need my white sugar! So when I found out Mood had white sugar, I was like, okay, we're in business. The coffee itself was fine, but honestly, having the option I wanted made the experience better. I also really appreciated that they have a mocktail menu. I ordered one of their specialty mocktails, and it was good! Mine had a little spice to it, which gave it an interesting flavor and made it more than just a sweet drink. Another little detail I enjoyed was seeing someone training another person while we were there. Just watching the interaction and seeing someone learn the ropes added another dimension to the experience. Sometimes those little behind-the-scenes moments make a restaurant feel more personable. Overall, I really enjoyed Mood. Great food, a welcoming atmosphere, natural light, different seating options, mocktails, and a Mediterranean menu that gives you something different from the many Italian restaurants surrounding it. I'd absolutely suggest giving Mood a try, and yes, I'll be returning myself! read more

Perfect meal! We were wandering around North End looking for a new place to eat and came across Mood. Such a wonderful decision! Everything was really delicious, especially the lamb meatballs with roasted grapes. We loved the meal so much that I decided to make a reservation for when my mom comes into town so I can share the experience. 10 out of 10, can't wait to go back! Update: Came back, found out they are no longer BYOB and apparently under new ownership? So confusing!! We were there so recently, the sudden change was a shock to us. Nobody was dining when we showed up the second time, and the vibe was kind of bland so we ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Not sure if the food is the same quality as before, but hopefully it is. Probably won't be back very soon as the byob was part of the fun for us. Really enjoyed being able to bring my favorite wine the first time. read more
What a perfect North End brunch spot! We showed up with a resy (not needed probs) on a weekend 11am for brunch. Walked over, as North End parking is impossible. Service was prompt. If you sit by the window, you have direct access to the amazing people watching in North End. Ambience is casual but classy. Food was 5/5 for us. Mascarpone pancakes were so fluffy and not overly sweet. 4- which were perfect for sharing. Shakshouka was savory and nonspicy. Zucchini pancakes wjth salmon were the perfect savory brunch dish to represent the establishment! Will be hard to try other things on the large menu given how great these 3 were! Will def be back. read more

It's easy to see why this place has the reviews it does. I've never had a meal like this - everything made to order and you can quite literally taste the freshness. Make sure you leave a little extra time to really savor each and every bite. Fatima and Seda took great care of us and we'll be back for sure. read more
Service was good, server was kind and answered all questions about menu. The ambiance was nice and bright. We went on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded. The food was delicious and fresh! Mood is a Mediterranean gem located in the North End! The quality of their ingredients is fresh, and the omelette was filling. They were also able to accommodate and make my pistachio latte decaf which I appreciated! At times, the service was slow and seemed understaffed, but it didn't hinder our brunch experience. read more
We had a great brunch here on a Friday afternoon. We ordered the Mediterranean Omelette and the Mascarpone Pancakes. The pancakes were delicious, fluffy, and perfectly paired with a generous serving of whipped mascarpone cheese. The omelette was fresh and light, even with the caramelized onions and fresh mozzarella inside. We were seated by the open window and had a nice view of the street. Small location tucked away in the side street among many other businesses. It's small, but they fit you in working with what they have. Food is priced nicely. And the portions are just enough that you don't feel stuff or under fed. I recommend & would come back if in the area. read more

Whoa!! What a total jem. Best shashouka I've ever had! And the sweet cream cheese crepes were delicious. My friend had the Provençal omelette with fries that was great too. Ambience was soothing and modern and staff was super friendly and kind. Got a cardamom latte to go. Woman owned and great small business. Highly recommend. read more
New favorite restaurant! It's such a perfect place to go with friends especially if you're not looking to spend a lot. We ordered the fries, baba ganoush, and chicken shish kebab and it was perfect for the 3 of us. It was also very good, so definitely would recommend . The best part is that it's BYOB so we brought 2 bottles of wine and had a fabulous night. read more

My partner and I tried this restaurant for the first time tonight, and it was great!! We got the soup special, which was a creamy mushroom and cauliflower bisque, the fried cauliflower appetizer, and the grilled octopus appetizer. We also got the greek salad. The fried cauliflower was AMAZING and covered in tahini and sesame seeds. A must-have. The octopus appetizer was a single grilled tentacle. It was cooked well, and came with delicious roasted potatoes and asparagus. The greek salad was also delicious and had a generous amount of feta on it.
