The people working here could try to be a little friendlier but it may take some hypnosis or some higher power to do so.

I always find myself here after an evening in the North End. Caffé Vittoria is such a staple,…read morealways excellent service, desserts & drinks. I'm shocked I haven't reviewed them already. During my most recent visit, I had their affogato which had to be one of the best I've had - I chose to add Kahlua, and it was served in an old school ice cream dish which was perfect. I also got their pistachio martini, which comes with pistachio gelato, absolutely insane. They have great pastries, cannolis and desserts here as well. Arbes provided excellent service and is very hospitable, even with the busy crowd. I always end up here and probably always will. ambiance: 5/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 service: 5/5 Caffé Vittoria: 5/5

But I saw other cafes much more busy. I mean the line was like thirty people waiting outside. I ordered a hot chocolate. It was good. I had the chocolate mousse cake. That was very tasty. After you are almost finished, I just felt they are coming over to clear your dishes and watching you and hope you will leave. I like to sit a while and talk but I had the feeling they wanted me to leave soon. There was a line but people were leaving and they were getting seated. All in all, I would go back to try a cannoli. Hopefully, it won't be as busy. You definitely have to come for dessert. You will enjoy!

I stopped into this place as there was room at the bar and other places seemed very busy, given that it was the weekend of the Boston Marathon. There was a QR system to order but halfway through the bartender asked me what I wanted so I placed an order that way. I ordered a glass of wine and a glass of water. The wine came but no water. The wine was served in a nice sized glass. I asked again for water and five minutes later it arrived. I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla....it was mighty mediocre. Not well presented either, but at least it was warm. When I wanted to leave, it took 10 minutes to get the bartender's attention (who always seemed to be doing something other than paying attention to the patrons.) If you are starving, and there are not other options, by all means, go here. But you might do better at a different restaurant.

I have been aware of Utopias for a decade. Finally had the chance to try it. Didn't know what I expected, maybe a genie popping out of the bottle?
