Very sure friends themed cafe in back bay on newbury street. It gets very crowded so finding a seat can be tough and everyone is on the WiFi so it can make things slow. But the details of this place from the menu items. Titles, the bathroom, the couch and quotes is spot on! We enjoyed some coffee and read our books.
Fun!!!! Indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed the outdoor patio. Inside has more of the classic Central Perk decor and feel, but it tends to get crowded, especially on weekends. I really enjoyed my chai tea here.
Located on Newbury Street. I ventured out for a coffee shop and stumbled upon this one. It has the indoor decor from FRIENDS show and it's pretty cute. Has the iconic orange couch and a lot of decor from the show. Very inviting ambiance and staff is super friendly. I ordered the Chandler chocolate foam latte. It was delicious. Next time I'll try the "we were in a break" coffee. This location sells swag and souvenirs. Definitely check this place out if you are in town. The duck and the chick bathroom sign was super cute!
We went to Central Perk on the recommendation of a local Bostonian. Central Perk was located on Newbury Street and easy to find. The seating was comfortable. If you are a fan of Friends they had a big screen with episodes playing continuously and Friends merchandise. The staff were friendly and the coffee was good. The menu was typical for a coffee shop. It was a good spot for a quick bite and a coffee.
Loved the atmosphere! Service was very friendly and helpful. The actual coffee/matcha itself was good but not mind blowing, which is expected. It wasn't overpriced so I'd come back again to hang out and have a decent coffee.
As a die hard Friends fan... this little coffee shop is so fun to just sit, sip delicious coffee, and enjoy all the Friends' references all around me. Service is great and quick. Adequate seating. I would love to see a stage by the front window with live guitarist playing -just an idea for ya ;). That would be all the vibes!!
Was just strolling around when I came across this place. Seeing the Friends Show décor and the show-themed menu, of course I had to give it a try. The interior reflects the show as well, with the familiar logo, the big sofa area, and themed décor and merchandise throughout. I opted for Joey's meatball sub with chips and a mimosa. The meatball sub was great. The meatballs were cut into smaller pieces, which made it much easier to eat. The toasted bread soaked up the sauce really well, and the melted cheese truly sealed in the flavor. As a fan of the show, the whole experience, from décor to menu to food, made this a really fun and memorable stop. I'd absolutely come back.
As a kid from the 80-90's, tv was my life... So even if it's lame I love a movie/tv themed spot. Aside from the Friends fandom it's actually a really nice cafe. Shockingly it is hard to find a cafe/place to do work on your laptop anywhere in greater-Boston area open past 5-6pm, so I love the Central Perk is open until 9pm. During the day you may struggle to find a spot to sit with a laptop but in the evening I found it easy enough. There's a mix of tourists stopping by for a coffee and a picture and folks settling in to read/work. Like Jennifer Aniston herself, I'm obsessed with the quinoa salad- it's perfect. I have not bothered to try anything else because I love the salad and it's very filling. Sandwiches have looked good from afar. The cookie was warm and delicious, a great choco chip cookie. The staff has been super nice, they help bus your stuff and are friendly/helpful. It's become a go-to place for me. Check it out!
While sightseeing around Back Bay, we walked past Central Perk Cafe and we knew we had to stop in being as we are all Friends fans. I was excited to see that not only did they serve food and coffee, but also alcohol! My friend and I ordered Espresso Martinis and my husband ordered a beer - they even put fun designs on the tops of each drink. One design was the turkey on Monica's head from the Thanksgiving episode which made us all laugh. I loved seeing all of the little Easter eggs throughout the cafe - they even had a big photo of the infamous water fountain on one side. Central Perk Cafe is just a fun place to hang out at - whether you are a fan or just looking for a place to study. They offer plenty of seating in the form of tables and couches inside, they also offer seating outside too. Service was friendly and they also gave great recommendations! I hope to come back some day! Check them out!
If you're a fan of the show then you should definitely stop by here! Decorated just like the show, and so many references everywhere . Lots of souvenirs to buy also. It's also a legit cafe because they have real coffee and you can buy the beans also. Huge selection of coffees and roasts, food choices and pastries, photo worthy backdrops, and friendly service I was actually almost carded here because they also serve alcoholic beverages
If you are a Friends fan, this is definitely for you. It's not kitschy or cheesy. It's a really nice coffeehouse with a perfect homage to the Central Perk. Was pleasantly surprised by the coffee too.
What an amazing place to be... arguably one of the best coffee shops on the best street in the best city. Yes, the friends theme is super cute, even if you aren't a "real fan" it's nice. You definitely get the vibe that the owners care just from decor alone. But let's talk coffee and food. Definitely worth it! Fun show themes names. I grabbed the chicken salad sandwich - just look at that pic... phenomenal! I also had a blended blueberry pancake coffee. Perfection! Ok. But the best for last. The people. Shaq (not THE Shaq!) waited on us and when I tell you it was the best service I've received at a coffee shop IN MY LIFE, I'm not even exaggerating an ounce. I feel like that's even an understatement somehow. He was friendly and understanding and helpful. (Not like the guy I order lunch from during work hours at a place who makes me feel stupid bc I don't know what I want!) It was so appreciated! And when the two of us asked for pictures on "the couch" - literally jumped over his coworkers to be the one to assist us (bc by then we had bonded, lol). And no "stranger" has ever gone to such lengths to take good pictures like this man... so many angles, artistic, and funny. At the bathrooms (with purple doors and placed picture frames) I found the, cleaning. Because everyone seems to care and chip in.
The interior of the place is decorated to look similarly to the friend's show, which is a cute concept with the show playing on the tv too. There were lots of seating and not a long wait to order. We ordered simple chai drinks and breakfast pastries which were tasty but definitely not authentic chai. It's a nice spot to stop by and check out though!

Friends themed shop in East Bay with a great vibe. Menu is varied and coffee is yummy. Staff was friendly and could tell I was a southerner. Picture worthy spot off to the side. Two Outdoor patio seating areas and fun indoor seating. read more

OH. MY. GAWWWD. Could this BE any more cute? The menu - hilarious. The decor - spot on. The food - delicious. Ironically the nitro coffee was the low point of the experience, but it was nice to sit and enjoy the decor and the nestlay tulhausa cookie and moist maker. All of the decorations are speckled with references, from the chick and the duck on the hallway door to the purple doors leading to the bathroom. Everything is very well thought out by someone who must've been a big fan. They sell a super cute assortment of Central Perk branded paraphernalia that I'll most definitely have to pick up. Friends fans one and all, come check out this spot! read more

I was surprised to see a cafe with friends theme while walking on newbury street. The ambience was pretty nice and they did a give job in giving it the "central perk" vibe with the iconic orange couch. I tried iced mocha which was lovely. My friends ordered hot chocolate and cappuccino and they liked their drinks as well. If you are an avid friends fan then definitely give this cafe a try. read more

As an avid FRIENDS fan we had to stop by Central Perk on our recent trip to Boston. We snagged a coffee and some sandwich's to start the day off. I opted just for the breakfast sandwich, a bacon egg and cheese on brioche. Sandwich was decent, a little too much bread to toppings ratio to me so it was a little underwhelming and dry. My girlfriend got the Moist Maker, a classic from the show, IYKYK. I preferred it over the breakfast sandwich, but overall just ok. This was more of a nostalgia experience if you're a FRIENDS fan in my opinion so the food and coffee was just an extra on top of the overall experience. read more
It's a cute cafe if you're a big fan of Friends. The coffees are all named after phrases & characters from the show so I went with Joey's signature How you Doin coffee. It wasn't bad for black coffee, but not incredibly good as there were no additional notes in there. It was about as standard as coffee could get with a cute name added to it. The interior is similar to what you see in the show so if you want, you can lounge on the same couch the friends did. But the place is always so busy it's hard to snag a good seat. If want to reminisce the show, it's a nice spot to add to your list but be prepared for some mid-priced gimmicky drinks. read more
This place was super cute friends inspired cafe but it left us disappointed. Food was mediocre and left us unsatisfied. The only thing that our group enjoyed was the ham and cheese croissant and the tomato soup. Grilled cheese was not cooked through and the sandwiches could cut your mouth open, the bread was so hard!! It's a cute experience but I wouldn't expect anything great to come out of it. Service is pay upfront and get your food/drink when it's ready. Was average paced. read more
Sooooo ... I was super excited for this to open and really wanted to love it because I LOVE FRIENDS!!! However, it was very underwhelming. This is a fun coffee shop ... based off FRIENDS the TV show. It is very cute inside and perfect for your Instagram-worthy pix, but I'm a little disappointed in the variety of menu items and their quality. The prices are decent for the area but not worth it for me .... based on the quality and execution of the products. The items on the menu do have some really creative names, which I appreciated it. Regarding the service, it had room for improvement. I came on a Sunday when they were very busy, which could be a contributing factor, but I still would have liked to be greeted with some FRIENDliness ... not irritation and annoyance. All in all ... I'm glad I came here to experience one time. Not sure if I would go back though. read more

The perfect spot for 'Friends' fans, but also anyone who enjoys good coffee and food! I went on a rainy day so it was very quiet, and I got to enjoy my entire meal and coffee sat on the famous (and very comfy) couch The staff were very attentive, especially Ashley who was so lovely, friendly and helpful, especially with my dietary requirements The Moist Maker sandwich (from the infamous Ross episode!) was absolutely DELICIOUS! Definitely worth the fit Ross threw over it in the show (mine is on a baguette not the seeded bread as on the menu due to allergies) read more

Central Perk Cafe is a F.R.I.E.N.D.S themed coffee shop that's the perfect place for a TV superfan to get a small bite and coffee. This cafe is located on Newbury Street and is easily accessible from the Copley Street Green Line T station. The space itself is pretty big but is usually crowded so make sure to prepare yourself for a wait. There's plenty of insta opportunities but it kinda feels awkward to take pictures with all the people inside. There's also a little bit of outdoor seating for when the weather gets nicer. The menu is super creative and fun - however, it's pretty limited. The prices aren't bad for the area, but I didn't order a drink since I wasn't craving a coffee in the moment. I ordered phoebe's grandma's cookie, which was a decent chocolate chip cookie. Overall, the vibe was cute since I love the show, but if you're looking for a place to actually sit down to eat/drink coffee, there's a lot of other places on Newbury St. to fulfill that. read more

Ordered the birthday cake specialty latte, which was overly sweet and overpriced. The breakfast burrito/wrap was good deal with generous portions and protein ratio. Service was pretty quick, and the decor was fun and true to theme. read more
They got me! I just love Friends - big sentimental vibes. And the orange couch! So good. They've got themed drinks, which I thought were yum and reasonably priced! Seemed like a lot of people were working there, so it's got a lovely fun but quiet working cafe vibe. Highly recommend for the tourist aspect, a spot to catch up with friends, or a place to plug in and churn out some work. read more
An absolutely fun place to check out with your FRIENDS! This place does not disappoint. Whether you're a super fan of the show, just starting to watch it, or just someone who appreciates great coffee and funky aesthetics, this place is for you! You walk in and are greeted with a taste of Central Perk from the show. The iconic elements are all there, with the couch, the funky vibes, and a wonderful and welcoming staff. There is actually a lot of indoor seating, but it fills fast. The vibe is definitely a place to catch up with friends, not really to be doing work. It is a bit loud when it is crowded, but overall a really fun environment to be in. The menu is extensive and has all the fan-favorites, from the Moist Maker (sandwich), to Grandma's cookie (Nestle Tollhouse :)), to drip coffee with iconic names like "We were on a coffee break"! This place is a must for any fan! Now for the review of what I had. I went with a classic iced vanilla latte (with almond milk) and it was exactly what I was hoping for! I also got the veggie sandwich, which was delicious and vegan friendly! Would definitely get again! The line was long (pretty much out the door the whole time we were there), but moves efficiently. The wait for drinks isn't that bad, and food takes a bit longer, but I was preparing to wait longer than we did. Likely also depends on whether the order is to dine in or to-go. We took some pictures on the iconic couch and had a 10/10 experience. A great place to bring any super-fan, and even pick up some nice holiday gifts if you so desire with the merch. read more
I'm a self-proclaimed huge Friends fan so when I saw that there was an official WB-affiliated Central Perk cafe in Boston that opened recently, I knew I had to make it my first stop of our visit to Boston. While I'm glad we came here, I'm not sure I would make a second visit a priority. The idea as a modern take on the popular coffee shop was very cool. The space was large and had decor that was definitely reminiscent of the Friends set, but it was so crowded. Most of the seating was community-style, which was fine but it was still hard to find seating. As for the menu, we had seen that they had breakfast on their website but were not aware that breakfast ended at 11am. When we got there at1 11:30, we were told we had missed breakfast. I tried to get a blended drink and was inexplicably told they couldn't make those either. I ended up getting an iced caramel latte which was very underwhelming and a margherita focaccia which was fine, but I could likely make it at home for much cheaper. The photo op was very cool and for die hard fans, it was worth going, but even if I lived in Boston, I don't think this would be a regular spot for me. read more
Central perk was great! I was surprised to see how many fun drinks they had as "daily specials". I got a blueberry spritz from the daily special menu (non-alcoholic). It was quite tasty! The interior is of course the cute Friends theme and that part was lovely. There was plenty of seating when I went on a Sunday afternoon. I saw they had some cool cocktail options so I'd be interested in going back and trying out those too! read more
I don't even watch the show friends and I was just in love with the vibes in this coffee shop. I got a matcha Latte with strawberry that tasted very fresh. The workers at the register were also super friendly persuading me to love to Boston, definitely was considering it after walking into this coffee shop that's right in the Newbury street district. It was also very clean and walking distance to many shops and places to eat: give them a try if you are in the area read more

I live in Back Bay and have been coming to Central Perk since they opened. If possible, it just keeps getting better! Not sure when they added the avocado toasts to their menu but I had both for the first time within the past week or so. I am beyond happy for this perfect breakfast or quick snack option. Note that I'm not a huge siracha fan so I'd suggest asking that they cut down on that if you don't care for it. The version pictured is the version with radishes and red onions. I think it's perfect with no changes! read more

A group of friends chose to caffeinate here because the lattes are so good, especially the iced ones. The staff were friendly, the menu is varied, and everything we ordered was delicious, from the moist coffee cake to the cappuccino. I particularly enjoyed my hot Chai tea latte. There are steps down to enter, but there is a variety of seating in and outside. read more

Cute place for Friends fans but just ok for the coffee and ambiance compared to other coffee shops in the area. We wanted to stop by since it's newly opened and my son and I both love the show. I liked the photo ops and decor inside. However, the cafe is loud and busy. I'm happy I stopped by but wouldn't return. read more

This Friends inspired cafe has some nice decor. Unfortunately, the coffee is really bad. I couldn't drink the cold brew I ordered because the taste was grassy and sour. If you are a big fan of friends I would still recommend checking it out but avoid coffee drinks. read more

I love the show Friends. So when I heard that there was a coffee shop in Boston based on the coffee shop in Friends? I was in! The coffee shop is cute and quaint. I got the vanilla cream blended drink and it was delicious! I will certainly be back to try their food. The service here was outstanding as well! People were friendly and my drink was made quickly. The only complaint I had was that there was nowhere to sit and enjoy my drink because all of the seats were taken. There needs to be more seating. But I am really glad that I went and I will be back for sure! read more

My husband and I were in town for the Fenway Home Opener and, as avid FRIENDS fans, we simply HAD to stop for coffee at Central Perk! AMAZING!! We stopped in for coffee on our way to the game. The ambiance is great. Very much like Central Perk, but also their own. The staff were very friendly, and didn't rush us while we looked at the menu to decide which beverages to get. I got an iced mocha and my husband got iced coffee with a little milk. Both drinks were made exactly how we wanted them to be, and my mocha was particularly delicious due to the Monin chocolate sauce they use. We left happy, saying we would definitely be back the next time we're in town. Cut to after the game, and we decided to go back to Central Perk for dinner. We both decided to have the Veggie Sandwich ("Avocado, tomato, cucumber, Alouette cheese on 9-grain bread" for $9.00). Given the ingredients, we assumed it would be the Garlic & Herb Alouette cheese, and we were right. The avocado, tomato, and cucumber were fresh and delicious. The bread was some of the best 9-grain bread I've ever had, and was the perfect compliment to the ingredients. It also came with a bag of chips that were quite tasty. I also got a decaf iced mocha and hubby got a decaf flat white and both were as delicious as our previous coffees. If we hadn't just bought regular and decaf espresso from our usual coffee house we would have bought a bag of each from Central Perk. read more
