So when my 3-day school holiday break came around, I made it a point for my daughter and me to finally check it out! Plus she's a bookworm. We got lucky right from the start! My kid managed to snag a parking spot right on Charles St, just a block away. Listen- this was a victory in itself because parking in Boston is a muvvafuckinng nightmare. Beacon H. is everything I thought a charming neighborhood bookstore would be. It's cozy, quaint and has so much pizzazz. The space is narrow, rooms are little and even the staircase is narrow. Depending on the weeknd, you might have to stand in line outside- line moves quick. This is the kind of bookstore I'd love to stay in for hours especially on a rainy day because it has this warm, inviting feel. Central Perk Coffee Co. is a café inspired by the iconic coffee shop from Friends, blending themed décor with a modern coffeehouse experience. Located on Newbury Street, we walked into a space filled with references to the show, from the famous orange couch to menu items and subtle details woven throughout the café. The design is playful without being overwhelming, and even if you are not a huge Friends fan, the atmosphere feels welcoming and makes it a fun place to stop for coffee or a light meal. The drinks and food go beyond the theme, with a menu that includes espresso drinks, matcha, teas, pastries, breakfast items, and sandwiches. We appreciated that the menu incorporates references to the show without feeling overly gimmicky, and the coffee itself was well made, with a smooth, balanced flavor that held up on its own. The pastries and sandwiches paired nicely with the drinks, making it a good option whether you are stopping in for breakfast or an afternoon break. The matcha was smooth and not overly sweet, and the breakfast sandwich was fresh and well constructed. The atmosphere is one of the biggest highlights. There are plenty of comfortable seating areas, including the signature couch that fans will immediately recognize, along with modern décor that keeps the café from feeling like just a themed attraction. The layout encourages lingering, and the natural light from the large windows adds to the welcoming feel. It is easy to spend some time here catching up with friends, getting work done, or simply relaxing with a coffee while people-watching along Newbury Street. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience, and even when the café gets busy, service moves efficiently and the space remains comfortable. Seating can fill up during peak hours, especially on weekends, but the turnover is steady enough that the wait does not feel excessive. Central Perk Coffee Co. is worth visiting whether you are a longtime Friends fan or simply looking for a good café in Boston. The combination of themed décor, quality coffee, and comfortable atmosphere makes it feel more like a real neighborhood coffee shop than just a novelty destination, offering a visit that feels both playful and genuine. read more

Here's a review based on your request: --- As a New Yorker visiting Boston, I was both intrigued and slightly skeptical when I stumbled upon Central Perk Coffee Co. on Newbury Street. The idea of recreating the iconic Central Perk from "Friends" felt like a bold move, but I'm happy to say that they pulled it off with style! The interior is spot on, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that instantly brings you back to the beloved New York café from the show. The attention to detail is impressive, from the decor to the layout, making it a perfect homage to the original. It's clear that they didn't just copy the idea--they took inspiration and added a unique Boston twist that makes it feel fresh and authentic. The coffee and food were top-notch as well, and the service was friendly and efficient. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and almost expect to see Ross, Rachel, and the gang walk through the door. Kudos to the team for not only borrowing an idea from NYC but for executing it so well that it feels like its own special spot in Boston. Definitely worth a visit for "Friends" fans or anyone looking for a charming coffee spot with a great vibe! read more

Absolutely LOVED the aesthetic and merch at this Friends-themed cafe -- it truly nails the cozy, iconic vibe of the show while still feeling fresh and modern. Whether you're a Friends superfan or just someone who appreciates a cute café, this place totally delivers. The menu is impressively expansive, with everything from coffee and bakery treats to sandwiches and even alcohol! I love that you can stop in for a quick latte or sit down for a full meal. There's so much seating, including a spacious outdoor patio, which is a total win in nice weather. It's also a perfect spot to get work or reading done -- the environment is relaxed but energized, and there's plenty of space to settle in. I highly recommend checking it out! read more

Walking in truly feels like stepping right into the show, from the iconic orange couch to the cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you're sitting there with the cast themselves. This spot is filled with fun details and nostalgia, and even the drinks and bites are named after memorable moments, which makes the experience even more unique.
