I got the most delicious iced macadamia nut latte and classic mince pie here!! This is a tiny little shop with only a bit of standing room, so I'd definitely plan to order to go. The only reason this is 4 stars was because I ended up spending g $21 for the latte and the pie, which plus a tip, felt a little excessive for a latte and a pastry. Granted, the mince pie ended up being really filling, so I'd say it was worth it. I will definitely come back here for special occasions!! read more

Cute little coffee shop in the West End with great service.The Aussie sausage rolls were flaky and buttery, definitely worth a try. My husband had an Americano, which he said was decent, and I had a dirty chai with a doppio side. It wasn't terrible. What a fabulous little spot. Great coffee, they have Harney's tea, best in the world, really tasty pastry and FANTASTIC conversation. All you need to do is treat people like human beings instead of servants and wouldn't you know, great things happen. I did not get the baristas name, great guy with shaved sides and bun. He's actually from Chicago, my home town. And really from CHICAGO not a suburb. I could have spent all day swapping stories. A perfect location from our downtown hotel - we went both mornings we were in the city. I tried the Aussie latte day one and had to have another day two. My guy loved the red eye because to him, more caffeine is better. The spinach and feta roll was a savory treat and the Aussie meat pie is a fabulously tasty and hearty eat on day two. I was really excited to try their meat pies and coffee! I got an 8 oz vienna coffee ($3.75) and a classic beef pie ($8.50). I think the vienna coffee only had 1 shot in it so the coffee flavor was quite weak and it tasted watered down. I would add another shot in the future. The beef pie was delicious! I loved the spices in the filling. The crust was pretty thick but had a nice buttery flavor. I thought the pie could stand alone as a meal but I got hungry a couple of hours later. I can definitely see myself coming back! I don't know many other places in the area that serve Aussie pies. read more

We're visiting from out of town. I looked for a place with good reviews and came across this cafe. I ordered a vanilla latte and the Brekkie. My son ordered a chai tea with a shot of espresso and a chocolate croissant. Everything was delicious! The crust on the Brekkie was flaky and light. The egg was cooked perfectly. The latte had the perfect amount of vanilla flavoring--not too sweet. Great service and ambiance. I would definitely go back again. read more

I was lucky enough to score a beef & stout and a beef and cheese pie on a late weekday afternoon (~$19 for two after tax). They had other pastries in their display case and a long list of drinks, but my eyes were on the pies (prize). I've only had an Aussie meat pie once and forgot the taste, but I just remember it was good. Cuppacoffee's pies did not disappoint! They were hefty in hand; both were rich, savory, hearty, and filling with a fantastic flaky crust. I was full after one pie, but made a brave attempt and managed to eat most of the second one. My boyfriend tried their flat white and meat pies and said both were great. Since he was living in Australia for the past few years and actually works for an Australia coffee roaster, I'll go with what he says. In his opinion, Cuppacoffee's coffee was closer to what he's had in Australia than what he's tried elsewhere in Boston. read more

This place does a very brisk business with the morning commuters. A big piece of that is their super-convenient location but the other part is that they simply serve excellent coffee very quickly. Stopped this morning for a beef and cheese pie. Nice sized portion, a little messy. Definitely something you want to eat with a plate and not try it on the go. It was very delicious but could have been very messy. Flat white was excellent. Really smooth coffee and milk, it needed nothing else to be enjoyed thoroughly. Small shop. They have a couple of picnic style tables outside and six of so seats at the outside-facing counter inside. Skip the donut people. Get your cuppa here! read more

For my first morning in Boston, I wanted to find a coffee shop to grab a quick drink and came across this spot that was on my route from our hotel to the Boston Common. The shop is small but there were a few seats inside as well as a couple of tables outside. I chose a hot chai and the drink was pretty good. I had a lovely espresso and an extremely disappointing sandwich experience at the South End location this morning. I ordered the Turkey sandwich, which was supposed to come with Turkey, basil oil, mayo, cranberry sauce, tomato, arugula, and cucumbers. I opted to hold the mayo and cranberry sauce. The cashier / hostess asked me what type of bread I wanted, he showed me the loaf of Iggy's wheat bread. It looked like a hearty-sized loaf, with large slices and looked good to me. I asked for it to be pressed, to which the waiter responded and said he could toast it. I sat outside with my friend, looking forward to and happily expecting a yummy sandwich, to go with the rest of the iced americano I had ordered. When my friend went in to grab our food and came back out, I felt extremely confused. She was carrying a plate with a kid-sized sandwich and a to-go container with her yogurt bowl. She set down the plate in front of me and remarked "well that seems sort of small". I didn't respond for 20 seconds, because I was so shocked. What I saw on my plate was not what I had been expecting, in the slightest. My sandwich bread was untoasted; I'm not sure what bread slices were used to make it, but they were certainly not the same size as the loaf of bread that had been held up when I asked to be shown the focaccia and the wheat; there was no basil oil, no cucumber; and there was a grand total of two slices of cheap deli Turkey, a single slice of tomato, and a handful of arugula inside. I could not believe that I paid $10.50 (plus tip) for this disappointing example of a sandwich. I am additionally disappointed because my coffee was delicious, the server was very warm, friendly, and helpful, and the last time I visited this location, I was impressed with the quality of food and drink. I am not sure what happened today, but I am quite upset with having paid so much for such a disappointing sandwich. read more

Incredible coffee and desserts/ pies. This place deserves 5 stars, but I'm taking one off as they need to do a better job at restocking their items. It's a shame when you walk over in the cold and most of their goodies are sold out. But of what they do have in stock, one word: AMAZING! I had the almond croissant, so fluffy and the barista earned it up in the oven for me, so it was perfectly flaky, warm and just delicious! The latte defyingly deserves to be mentioned- smooth, rich and again just perfect! To top it off, you can open an account with them, load it and never worry about grabbing your wallet or their store card before heading for a quick coffee break. They can look up your account based on your last name. Super helpful! read more

Simply amazing! Finally checked Cuppacoffee off my Boston coffee bucket list last week. One of the best iced oat milk lattes I've had in a long time. Great spot to grab a coffee to go on the way to work. The barista knew the regulars by babe. Loved the special Aussie coffee specials (macadamia nut latte and flat white to name a couple) and treats available. Service was quick too. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the coffee is, as other reviewers have mentioned, really expensive. My latte was over $7. That said, it is really great coffee so it is worth paying a little extra for as a treat. But I also think worth noting, because $7 lattes are not a sustainable daily habit for me no matter how much I wish I had a cuppacoffee a day. read more

What a find! I was staying nearby, and was very happy to have such high-end coffee in a fun environment a block away. The owner is really passionate snd principled too, which a long history of making coffee has earned him. Bonus: He is from Australia and has all kinds of fun Aussie stuff on display. So much more fun and awakening than being lectured by corporate coffee!! I only had espresso, but my friends had milk based drinks that were reportedly excellent too. Oh! If you blink, you might miss it. But do as I did and walk up and down Merrimac St. until you realize it's right behind the TD Bank ATM building. My afternoon walk in the sun, wind, and cold would've been a waste...well except for the health part...if I had given up on finding Cuppacoffee. But then again, I through health out the window when I saw that almond croissant staring at me.. but let me start over. Cuppacoffee: a tiny storefront with one single skinny bar top, several stools, and two men behind a counter serving up some lovely espresso. Oh, and they are Australian, so they have a few Aussie specialties. But back to that croissant.... My eyes struggled to focus on the chalkboard menu after seeing this flaky beauty in the pastry case. However, I did read raving reviews for the flat white so that was the obvious choice. Both gentlemen asked if a small was big enough by showing me the tiny white cup. I said yes, knowing I never finish a single drink in my life. Then, made sure I got that croissant added to my bill. The barista placed my drink on the counter without a lid so I could see the caramel-y froth with a pretty white lace on top--the flat white. I took a seat at the window to savor my afternoon snack. Great spot for a cup of coffee? I have no idea. What I do know is they have the most marvelous Aussie pies, so if you're in need of a nice hot savory snack, you've come to the right place. There isn't a lot of space to sit - just a counter that runs the length of the place, which isn't very big. But nobody is there for very long, since it's mostly a spot to grab something on the go. The guy who works there is friendly, and was happy to heat up a meat pie for me from the freezer when the day's supply had run out. He made sure it was completely hot and perfect before he served it - it was steak and Guinness and crazy delicious. My daughter opted for a white chocolate steamer, and that was on point as well. Its a tiny cafe and i think they usually only have only one person working but they are always pretty fast.
