I was recommended Nero by the employees at the hotel I stayed at, and Nero was too salty. I ordered the mozzarella and prosciutto croissant, and it was basically inedible because of the salt. I will say thank goodness for the WiFi and the homey vibe that the café has, because when it comes to the food, there isn't a lot to write home about.

Beautiful location! I went there for a drip coffee and it was very tasty with excellent mild flavor. The staff was friendly and the decor out of this world. Very peaceful. This was the London based company's first USA location.

Services average. Coffee is decent. Madeline's and fresh pastries are also decent. It has indoor and outdoor seating. It's right downtown in Chinatown/the French Quarter. It's great for a hot drink cold drink or snack. There's things to go or you can sit down and dine.

I enjoyed my visit here overall, however they forgot my order (which was placed online). After being reminded they made the coffee and we had it after a few more minutes wait. The tiramisu latte was quite delicious and very vanilla-ey, with hints of a cake flavor. It seemed very unique to me! I loved the dark academia ambiance which was perfect after a day of exploring Boston college and Boston university. I also had a brownie which was soft with a hard crust on top and very tasty!

Today did my first visit to the downtown crossing Caffe Nero and I went with two others. We tried to order from the scan at the end of our table but had a little trouble to complete it. The people at the counter really helped to get our order completed so we were very satisfied with how it turned out. The caffe was spacious with many places to choose to sit at and had very good lighting to see in. We felt very comfortable to enjoy the drinks and treats we ate today. I liked the many choices they had available since I am not a coffee drinker.

    Iced Matcha Latte

I am a regular at Caffe Nero. This branch was probably one of my worst experiences. I ordered an iced matcha latte via the mobile app. When I got to the location, there were a few folks in line to order. I couldn't find any signage like most branches for mobile order pick up. I waited to the side to let the customers / barista be free. After a wait, I asked the barista where the mobile order pickup is, she motioned me to the end of the line. After waiting for a long while, well after my pickup time, I asked the barista again about my mobile order. Seems like she had made me a caramel latte. The only good thing is that after I clarified my order, she quickly made me my drink. However it was a poorly made drink as the matcha wasn't fully shaken. If you're paying for an $8 drink, I wouldn't want a dunkin experience. Please fix your mobile order system and add signage for pick ups. Would be great to add additional baristas during busy times.

I stumbled upon this place as I was walking down Newberry St. the honey spiced latte was really good. I actually started fixing my coffee with honey and cinnamon because of this delicious latte! The star of the show was the cookie butter croissant. It was warm, buttery, and all the delicious things! I sat inside to enjoy my treats. The service was also good as well.

Came here to get some breakfast items. My husband got the pistachio muffin and I got the breakfast sandwich. We also got some coffee drinks. I was very unimpressed with the breakfast sandwich I got as it had one slice of bacon and some egg on it. The pistachio muffin was okay, nothing spectacular. Wouldn't come here again probably

Cute and warm interior, central location. I got a Cortado and it was fine. Maybe next time I will try the pastry

Very nice coffee stop. Located on the edge of Chinatown, across from the old Paramount Theatre, this eclectic little UK based coffee cafe makes a very nice cup! The furnishings are a collection of wooden chairs, comfy sofas, wing back and other soft seating. Coffee tables, end tables, and booths. All scattered against a library-esque backdrop including a massive fireplace. I picked up an almond croissant which was very tasty. Not overly sweet, with a bit of almond jam in the middle that was unexpected. My macchiato was well made and had a pleasant bite at the end. We waited by the counter for our coffees and bussed our table before departing. Our visit, after the morning rush was very pleasant. Plenty of pastry on hand, plenty of staff to help the steady stream of guests. Customers working on laptops, business meetings and friends gathering were just some of the ways customers were enjoying the space. Definitely would stop by again for a good cup of coffee.

fantastic old-fashioned, European-style coffeehouse rich wood furniture, high ceilings, and elegant wall-length mirrors,

I went with two scoops, black raspberry and brownie chocolate, and the brownie was killer. Rich, chocolatey, and totally worth standing outside in 30 degree weather to eat it. I devoured it without hesitation. There were so many great flavor options, and my friends all found something they loved too. It felt like one of those classic, must-stop dessert spots. Just had a really odd experience at this location…read more I ordered a small cup of a special flavor (sticky toffee pudding). The server asked if I wanted any toppings. I said, "Yes please, I'd like M&Ms." The server, and another person working behind the counter, both told me that they just ran out of M&Ms. They didn't have any more. This was weird to me. As I was walking to the the shop, I passed a person who had a small cup of ice cream with both m&m's and oreo topping. Okay, I thought. That's weird but so be it. Then, I scootch over to look at the rest of the toppings and what do I see? M&Ms. I point out the M&M's to the employee and ask, "hey, aren't those M&M's?" They mumbled something back that I didn't exactly catch. They either said "those are closed" or "those are skittles" or "it's not those". "those are closed" makes no sense because they asked if I wanted toppings and it was 2 and a half hours before they closed. "those are skittles" makes no sense because they don't carry skittles as a topping... The whole experience was perplexing to me. Anyways, JP Licks is pretty overrated and too expensive. $6.5+ for the smallest size is not worth it. They have some decent flavors (cookies n' cake batter) though and the ice cream is usually pretty well executed and not icy. still, not really a place i'd recommend and won't be going back for a while after this freak incident. Attached photos are the proof that they had M&Ms. Note the "M" on the candy and the blue colored candies (they don't make blue skittles)

I do not go out for coffee much anymore due to the convenience and cost effectiveness of a Breville and am often frustrated paying over $5 for mediocre coffee, but flour cafe was not in this boat. Even better was the fact that these drinks were served by someone with a warm spirit and smile.. hard to get great service these days. We walked into a building with the kind of architectural character that chain bookstores cannot manufacture, with small rooms opening into each other across multiple floors, wallpapered walls, and reading nooks distributed throughout that invite you to slow down rather than move through quickly. The book selection is well curated with staff recommendation cards on the shelves that actually reflect genuine enthusiasm rather than perfunctory notes. We saw limited edition hardcovers and local and regional titles appearing alongside the broader fiction and nonfiction selection. Browsing felt productive rather than overwhelming because the curation kept things focused. The kids section upstairs is one of the more delightful in Boston, with a train running along a track near the ceiling that tends to make a strong impression on younger visitors. There is also an art print vending machine on the second floor that draws its own audience of visitors looking for something small and specific to take home. The cafe occupies the lower level and operates as a separate experience from the bookshop above. We ordered the oat milk cappuccino with Vermont maple syrup, which was worth it. The morning glory scone and the popovers are two other items to consider. The cafe is tiny, around eight tables inside with a small patio, and reservations are recommended for breakfast and afternoon tea service. Pricing at the cafe is on the higher end, and certain fixed price service formats on specific dates push it considerably further, so checking current pricing before booking is worth doing. For a bookshop that doubles as a destination in its own right, Beacon Hill Books and Cafe delivers a cozy, curated experience that rewards lingering. It is the kind of place we would return to just to sit and read with a good coffee.
