Great spot near south station to grab a bite to eat and fresh coffee or breakfast/lunch. Will definitely be coming here more often

Came here unexpectedly since we had to change our plans (South Street Diner lost electricity and was temporarily closed), so we walked around and stumbled into this place. Quiet and unassuming, we had no idea what to expect. However, the food we ordered were fresh, delicious, impressive, amazing, and fabulous. In short, I was in my feelings. I ordered the waffle (with maple syrup - you had the option of honey and regular syrup), apple danish (since it's fall, after all) and the caramel bliss (espresso, milk, vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, frozen caramel bits). I thought I was going to fall into a sugar coma but everything balanced each other well and none of these items were intensely sweet. They were the perfect level of sweetness. Their regular coffee was tasty. I'm hooked on this place... Lawddd faddah. Also, the persons who served us were exceedingly helpful and attentive. I'm happy I stumbled into this spot since I plan on visiting it again the next time I visit Boston. I recommend checking it out.

We were delighted to have chosen this spot for breakfast this morning before heading to the airport! The people working here are so friendly, the food was HOT and fresh, the prices were very reasonable. I got an iced latte and it was also super good! We recommend!

Today I was in the mood to change up my coffee and decided to try Kneeland Cafe. It is a quick 5 min walk from my office and figured why not stop in. I expected to pay close to what Starbucks charges for coffee, but was pleasantly surprised with the affordable menu. I ordered a large hot cafe mocha and a breakfast bagel. The service was quick and attentive. I was third in line, and was out within 5 min. The inside is cute and cozy, with classic cafe pictures and a small table to look out onto Kneeland st. If I didn't have to go back to work, i would have really enjoyed sitting and relaxing.

She was so excited when she found Cafe Bonjour because they had several gluten-free options on the menu. We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. We asked to sit at the bar so we could watch the cooks in action, which was really fun. The menu had all the classic breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, along with some lunch options like hamburgers and chicken wraps. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the gluten-free eggs benedict and absolutely loved it. I had the Bonjour omelet, and it was delicious. Overall, this is a fantastic breakfast spot with great food, a fun atmosphere, and solid gluten-free options.

Waiter didn't bring out water, didn't offer any cream or sugar for coffees, and was difficult to flag down to ask for extra plates/utensils. The inside is quite cramped and we were shoved into a tiny little corner. Overall a meh place for brunch. The appeal is the convenience of the location. Other than that I'd stop somewhere else for a brunch.

Prior to visiting Boston, I did my research on things to do and places to eat. Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.

Sandwiches with an egg = breakfast right? My go-to is The Fancy: Vital Farms pasture-raised fried eggs, bacon, cheddar, smashed avocado, red onions, and house mayo on toasted Flourhouse multigrain. The ingredients are always fresh, and every bite is packed with flavor. Mmm Mmm Good! Ps...I eat it so fast every time I forget to take pics -- I just get too excited for it :)

The scrambled eggs were perfectly done, not runny or gooey like other places. The potatoes perfectly seasoned and slightly crunchy out and soft inside. The Banana bourbon French toast...Is the best breakfast food I've ever had and I eat out frequently. I literally scraped my plate clean. I would have done the same with my eggs, potatoes and Turkey sausage but I couldn't eat another bite. I wish we had a North Street Grille here but perhaps it's better that I not have easy access to the quality of food otherwise I'd need a new bigger size wardrobe. If in Boston this is an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE. If we had room and weren't leaving town the same night we'd have bought the banana bread. They provide complementary for each table and it's one of the bestest most beautifully made banana breads I've had. Service was fast and friendly. There were only 2 of us, but we couldn't decide what to order so we got 4 items. The short rib grilled cheese was great, not too fatty (which I prefer). The fries were also good. The lobster sliders were a little too wet for us, but paired well with the fries. We underestimated the size of the salad, but it was a solid salad. My friend really enjoyed the banana bourbon French toast and she's someone that doesn't have a sweet tooth. She really liked the caramelized parts, reminded her of taffy. We killed as much as we could!
