Loved their Lychee Tea with Boba! Great amount of Boba and balanced sweetness. Service was great too- they gave us a pastry for free. Great place to hang out with friends. Will definitely be back there next time we're in Boston.

    The "mango" smoothie

Located in the basement of the same building of Ga Ga restaurant, this bubble tea shop offers BOGO options. The mango smoothie tastes more like a pina colada rather than mango. The Thai tea is a bit watery. There is a bathroom available for customer use and the one staff member was friendly and prompt. It was a literal one man show.

Surprisingly good bubble tea. This shop looks like a hole in a wall on the inside and outside. But it offers traditional teas that aren't commonly found at bubble tea shops like dragonwell and uses rock candy as a sweetener instead of some mystery sugar syrup. I've always loved rock candy as a child, so I appreciate that. I got a cinnamon milk tea. The cinnamon flavor is strong as hell. I loved it. I wish I tried some of their desserts on the menu, but I plan to the next time I come back. The clientele is old retired Chinese people. I was surprised a mahjong table wasn't near the back of the store.

Pricey, but solid spot for boba. They didn't offer ice adjustments though, so factoring that here. Despite being late at night and close to closing, boba still tasted fantastic, so either fairly fresh or preserved well. Taro Bubble Tea - asked for no sugar and the drink was extremely sweet. I figure the taro powder they use is pre-sweetened, but not a good drink to adjust sugar levels. Standard taro powder flavor, so nothing wrong there, but would recommend lowering sugar (I can only imagine what default sugar tastes like). Boba was great, somewhat addicting. Not particularly bouncy, but very soft and fun to chew. Organic Brown Sugar Bubble Tea - typical brown sugar milk, pretty sweet. No surprises here, good for sweet tooths. No sugar adjustments. Boba was fantastic as noted above, soft and chewy with flavor. Could have a bounce but the unique chew is still better than most spots. Yucoo Bubble Tea - always have to go with a boba spot's signature drink. Yucoo's is an oolong tea that tastes closer to green tea with a light floral flavor. Sugar adjustments did work here, and 30% sugar was close to perfect. A little sweet but nothing that overpowered the tea taste. Same comments on boba as above.

The tea is very fragrant and good, but a little pricey. The atmosphere and vibe is not really a place I would hangout at but to grab a quick drink to go is fine. The lady working there was speaking very loudly in taishanese with someone. It was a little off-putting and I felt bad for the tourists there because it sounds like two people fighting if you don't know what they're saying. Just something they should be mindful of when running a business. Nothing I wouldn't expect in Chinatown stores though

Fairly new, independent boba place. Excellent service. Tasty drinks. The boba was well-prepared. Quaint lower level "in-ground" setting.

Okinawa Brown Sugar Milk Tea w/ boba

Yucco's 2nd location in Chinatown, I was hoping it would be similar to their Brighton location, but fell far from expectations. Replacing Royal Tea, it has kept the same setup with a few tables if you want to sit and chat with friends, but they have added signage for their brand. I ordered the Okinawa milk tea with boba and was disappointed. The milk tea was okay, but the boba tasted almost mushy, like it was overboiled. I'm glad there is seating, but I would recommend checking out other bubble tea places in Chinatown.

Yucoo is a boba tea spot that's taken over the old Royaltea location, offering a pretty wide selection of drinks. The space itself is on the smaller side but has plenty of seating. That said, there was a weird odor in the air that made it a little unpleasant to sit and hang around. Ordering is easy with self-serve kiosks or you can go up to the counter. It wasn't too busy, even on a Friday afternoon. We tried the Mango Pomelo smoothie and were kind of let down. It was more watery than smoothie-like and didn't have much flavor. For the price, it felt underwhelming. Probably wouldn't come back unless they change up the recipe or we try something else.

Found this gem on Tyler St near downtown! Yucoo is a bubble tea shop that I thoroughly enjoyed! Wanted to stop by here to try their teas as I'm an avid fan of shops that use real tea leaves in their drinks. I ordered their Pineapple Yakult with Crystal boba & it was delicious! Usually this drink comes off tangy, but they got it just right. I would definitely recommend this. Then, we tried their High Mountain Latte & this blew me out of the water. You could really taste the tea and how aromatic it was. This was my favorite drink out of the two but it's probably because I like my teas really strong and potent. I also ordered their custard buns but I wouldn't recommend it. It didn't taste like anything special & felt like I could get this at an asian supermarket and microwave it. Overall, Yucoo is a must try for boba lovers in the Boston area.

    Dragon Coco Smoothie

Yucoo replaced Royal Tea. Yucoo have limited drinks compared to other bubble tea shop in Chinatown. I usually ordered fruit tea, but they don't have fruits, I tried their dragon coco smoothie, strong coconut flavor, not much dragon fruit flavor but it taste good. Will come back to try other drinks.

    Matcha Milk Tea

incredible food for a mostly tea place!!! we got steamed pork buns and steamed pork and chive dumplings and they were seriously some of the best i've had. they took a little bit but i think that's good because i could tell they were fresh. lady working tonight was very friendly!! just a little pricey but not too bad for the amount of food we got! it wasn't too busy so there was plenty of seating! cute in there!

They offer four types of ice cream: matcha, hojicha, ube, and yuzu. There are flavor restrictions (see menu) for mixes, but you can have any combination. A cup costs $7.75 and is enough for two people. Matcha Soft Served Ice Cream: It looked ordinary, but the taste was authentic and pure, with a rich, bitter and fragrant aroma. For most palates, it might even be a bit too bitter. According to the shop, they use matcha from Harima Garden播磨園, Uji宇治. The texture was also very smooth. Ube Soft Served Ice Cream: After seeing the annual "Art in Bloom", I felt the taro flavor was more suitable for the blooming flowers of spring. Spring should be sweet, not bitter! It also had a very pure and natural flavor, not too sweet, but very fragrant. Its texture was a bit smoother than the matcha one. I'd love to try the parfait and drinks next time! However, you need to pick up your food at the counter yourself, and it gets crowded and chaotic on weekends.

Everything else always feel like a bit of a let down (hence the one star off). Sometimes they have the hojicha and it's a grainier version of the matcha green tea which might not be everyone's cup of tea but I personally really enjoy it! TLDR: Get the matcha soft serve and skip the parfait
