I came in with one purpose since I just had another drink elsewhere it was to try my friends recommendation of their wintermelon green tea since it's not common in other shops. Even with no sugar it had a sweet taste but it's really good and naturally sweet. Ordered on the tablet and drink came out in about 3 minutes.

Bubble tea is like 3.5/5 but service is a solid 2. Lady was rude to my friend who needed the bathroom... was late in the day, no one was in the shop, said we had to be a customer. What's wrong with compassion?? In the past for too good to go they've turned me away for being 10 mins early.... Mind you their entire pickup window is very short. Kind of crazy. Not worth it.

Yi Fang did a boba pop-up at our office and it was the perfect afternoon treat! I got the green milk tea with boba--perfectly creamy and not overly sweet. Super fresh and made right on-site, I'll be sure to visit their newbury street location!

One of the best fruit bubble teas I've had in a very long time! This Taiwanese tea store is bright, modern, and has a comfortable atmosphere. Indoor seating is offered along with a restroom (no outdoor patio or dog friendly seating). A refreshingly different bubble tea menu is offered, which makes you think more mindfully about your drink. Yi Fang boasts to make bubble tea the real way: without milk powder, syrup, or fructose, but with loads of delicious, real fruit. If you want a cookies n cream smoothie, prefer popping boba, or expect seasonal drinks to mean things like pumpkin spice latte or eggnog slushie, look elsewhere. But if you want simple, traditional drinks made with attention to detail, then this is the place for you.  I ordered the Yi Fang Fruit Tea ($7), which was a phenomenally-made beverage bursting with fresh and enticing fruit flavors. The sweetness was just enough, and this drink really hit the spot on a hot Summer's day. The staff is friendly and helpful too. Visit this place, and you will undoubtedly have added a new go-to spot on your list.

First time here, came out to almost $19 for two drinks, but boba on newbury so go figure haha. Quiet night, had another group ahead of us, ordered via kiosk and the drinks were made promptly. It's really cute in there, has Yi Fang merch, cups, tees etc for sale. menu on wall, two mini table seating. The lady got these from ubereats another day at work and it was great, this time it wasn't as good, a bit more watery less creamy but overall flavor was good!

We visited Yi Fang after dinner tonight & our experience offering in person was smooth! They have self ordering kiosks available, which you can pay via tap. We ordered two large mango pomelo sago drinks ($18.05). A little bit pricey but milk tea is quite expensive nowadays so, it's all good. I recently tried Yi Fang via Ubereats and had a good experience & today it tasted slightly different, a bit more icy.

Walked in and ordered on kiosks. Tried the mango pomelo and taro milk tea. Their teas are really not sweet, so I probably could've had higher sweetness level (I did 30%). I liked that the taro drink had real taro in it though, and the boba itself was high quality!

Yi Fang is a great place to get a refreshing drink on Newbury Street. This tea shop is located close to the Boston Public Library and the Copley Green Line T Station. It's super easy to find and has space in the back for seating small groups. Inside, there's 2 places to order. There's a kiosk as well as an option to order with the barista. The full menu is located in an inconvenient location and the shop is set-up so when it gets crowded, it's a little uncomfortable to wait for your boba or tea to get ready. However, the Peach Fruit Tea I ordered hit the spot and had fresh peach chunks which elevated the flavor. I'd definitely go back for pick-up to try something else on the menu.

Having had my first Yi Fang experience in Taipei, I had high hopes when it came to Boston. I might be biased, but of all the tea shops in the city, Yi Fang ranks the highest when it comes to fruit tea. Every drink I've ordered from here is refreshing and never too sweet. The space is bright and has a modern, yet comfortable vibe. I've been on a crowded winter day when the store felt too warm and stuffy, but today when I came on a random Friday around noon, it was completely empty. There's a little more seating down the hall, as well as a bathroom. Their drinks are a little expensive, but always enjoyable. Today I tried the Peach Black Tea with green tea jelly and 50% sugar. I also really enjoy their egg waffles as an extra little treat. I usually try to avoid coming to Newbury, but getting tea from Yi Fang makes it all worth it.

By far one of my favorite boba shops in Boston! My go to is the taro milk tea -- they use real taro here instead of the artificial powdered stuff and it makes all the difference in the world. Prices are a bit high but quality of ingredients justifies the cost. Shop is always very clean and the drinks come out relatively quickly!

I've been to Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea multiple times in New York, so when I saw Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea on Newbury St, I was extremely excited. Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea uses 100% Authentic Taiwan Tea, seasonal fresh fruits, and naturally-braised cane sugar. The drinks are always delicious and refreshing. I usually get their fruit teas like the mango passion fruit tea. At this location, there are two kiosks to order from. Drinks are available in medium and large. I got their Brown Sugar Matcha Latte with pearls. The order was ready in about 5 minutes. I prefer their fruit tea over their milk tea, but it was still very good. The pearls are great. There are a few countertop seats by the window and tables throughout the store. Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea drinks are a little pricier, but the quality is definitely worth it.

The service is awful. The reception boy was cold to customers, and didn't remind customers to choose ice or hot, and when customers pointed it out and tried to change iced to hot, he was super impatient and pissed off. And I told them the sugar level, but what I got finally is a zero sugar milk tea. Very bad and frustrating experience, will never be back again.

My friend and I were in the area and in the mood for boba, and this spot popped up in the search. We went in and ordered from the self-ordering kiosks, and our drinks were ready after a few minutes. She got the brown sugar milk tea while I got the strawberry milk tea ($6). Boba is an additional $1 and is mini sized but still a nice chewy texture. Our drinks were flavorful and still fairly sweet even at 50% sweetness. There were a few tables inside for small groups up to 3 people. Overall a decent boba shop to check out if you're in the area!

I went with two scoops, black raspberry and brownie chocolate, and the brownie was killer. Rich, chocolatey, and totally worth standing outside in 30 degree weather to eat it. I said, "Yes please, I'd like M&Ms." The server, and another person working behind the counter, both told me that they just ran out of M&Ms. They didn't have any more. This was weird to me. As I was walking to the the shop, I passed a person who had a small cup of ice cream with both m&m's and oreo topping. Okay, I thought. That's weird but so be it. Then, I scootch over to look at the rest of the toppings and what do I see? M&Ms. I point out the M&M's to the employee and ask, "hey, aren't those M&M's?" They mumbled something back that I didn't exactly catch. They either said "those are closed" or "those are skittles" or "it's not those". "those are closed" makes no sense because they asked if I wanted toppings and it was 2 and a half hours before they closed. "those are skittles" makes no sense because they don't carry skittles as a topping... The whole experience was perplexing to me. Anyways, JP Licks is pretty overrated and too expensive. $6.5+ for the smallest size is not worth it. They have some decent flavors (cookies n' cake batter) though and the ice cream is usually pretty well executed and not icy. still, not really a place i'd recommend and won't be going back for a while after this freak incident. Attached photos are the proof that they had M&Ms. Note the "M" on the candy and the blue colored candies (they don't make blue skittles)

We walked into a building with the kind of architectural character that chain bookstores cannot manufacture, with small rooms opening into each other across multiple floors, wallpapered walls, and reading nooks distributed throughout that invite you to slow down rather than move through quickly. The book selection is well curated with staff recommendation cards on the shelves that actually reflect genuine enthusiasm rather than perfunctory notes. We saw limited edition hardcovers and local and regional titles appearing alongside the broader fiction and nonfiction selection. Browsing felt productive rather than overwhelming because the curation kept things focused. The kids section upstairs is one of the more delightful in Boston, with a train running along a track near the ceiling that tends to make a strong impression on younger visitors. There is also an art print vending machine on the second floor that draws its own audience of visitors looking for something small and specific to take home. The cafe occupies the lower level and operates as a separate experience from the bookshop above. We ordered the oat milk cappuccino with Vermont maple syrup, which was worth it. The morning glory scone and the popovers are two other items to consider. The cafe is tiny, around eight tables inside with a small patio, and reservations are recommended for breakfast and afternoon tea service. Pricing at the cafe is on the higher end, and certain fixed price service formats on specific dates push it considerably further, so checking current pricing before booking is worth doing. For a bookshop that doubles as a destination in its own right, Beacon Hill Books and Cafe delivers a cozy, curated experience that rewards lingering. It is the kind of place we would return to just to sit and read with a good coffee.
