The drinks are good - worth the hype. Been here few times - if you are gonna visit this store- here are couple of things to keep in mind. The store is packed most the time, order online - the mobile app is good and gives the live status of your drink. I would recommend ordering it online rather than waiting in the line for the kiosk to order a drink.

I love Hey tea and used to get it all the time in NY. However, this location is disappointing. It took over 30 minutes to get my order. When I inquired about the status of my order and why it took so long they said it is expected for them to take a minimum of 30 minutes to put together one order. I only ordered two drinks and they were exactly the same drinks. These drinks are definitely NOT worth the long wait. My suggestion is that if this is what the company is expecting then they should tell customers about the long wait time BEFORE they put their orders in. I suggest reviewing your process and find ways to improve efficiency if a drink is taking your team over 30 minutes to make. Street parking only, can be tough during busy times...it's a grab and go, do not expect any seating.

High quality boba, probably the best in Boston, but one star off for the exorbitant price! Interior is small, standing room only and meant just for pick up, not hanging out. Ordered a green grape drink via Uber eats which was a seamless process.

This place does a fantastic job in getting customers morning to close. It's so popular that there's always a crowd outside. The place itself is very nice looking, clean, quaint, and pack full of workers ready to get customers' orders completed. I went with the coconut mango blue which looked delicious but it was too sweet for me. Inside it smelled very fragrant, light, and clean. Unfortunately, there's no options to change tea sizes, and it came to $7.50 with tax! I'm sure there's a flavor out there which I would like, but I would have to drink too many teas and try all too many iterations

been here a few times now, have gotten a number of teas with different varieties. The quality has been consistent. The teas have been strong and smooth. The fruit flavors in each tea have really paired well with each tea they've chosen. i have finally downloaded the app and it does really save time.

High quality ingredients with a great blend of flavors intermingled. Had the pleasure of trying the Coconut Mango Blue (from spirulina) which was a refreshing treat. This location is also crazy busy, and the online ordering isn't always made available given the high volume of orders. Like the other HeyTea in the Boston / Newbury area, there's barely enough standing room to order. As such, not really such a thing as ambiance when it's just order and/or pick-up then go. HeyTea in the Bay Area has seating area and a nice interior aesthetic to drink tea while catching up with a friend or work. Taste of drinks is consistent across the board though!

I'm obsessed with the coconut mango boom. Lots of coconut flavor with bits and pieces of sago with chunks of mango in every sip. It is very addicting -- sometimes even one is not enough. It's more of a dessert but it's amazing. I would suggest to pre-order it on the app and then pick up (and your earn points and rewards). It does get busy in the Allston store only because it's very small inside. Depends what you feel like drinking, but it's my favorite on the block.

First time trying Hey Tea. I ordered two of their recommended drinks: Mango Grapefruit Boom: I ordered less ice and less sugar. There were chunks of fresh ripe mango and mango puree. I can taste the coconut milk. There were tapioca. Reminded me of mango sticky rice or the Chinese mango tapioca dessert. Definitely not too sweet. Supreme Matcha Latter: Regular ice and less sugar. The matcha foam on top was really good. A strong matcha flavor overall, no bitterness, pretty smooth overall.

We were craving something sweet after a filling lunch. We chose HeyTea and ordered the following: Coconut mango boom - a drink for those who love coconuts and mangos Cloud Crisp Grape - incredible combination of frozen grape pieces and a fun twist on a grape flavor There is no seating so be prepared to grab the boba and go on a walk with friends while drinking the drink!!! The service is quick in spite of the long line. You order through a kiosk. Each of the drinks are made with care and are standardized in a way I appreciate the quality assurance! The lighting and aesthetics of everything is synchronous!

Came on a Friday evening 15 mins before closing thinking it will be a shorter wait. I waited for 20 mins which isn't bad but advice to order online if you dont like to wait. Staff were efficient and friendly and their work flow is great as I was observing while waiting. The mango cloud is like drinking a dessert and so fresh and the mix with a bit of the lightly salted cloud foam is perfect. The east coast hey tea seems to have less items on their menu like no mulberry. The location is cozy and clean with good lighting but no space for seating.

Food - 5/5 Service - 4/5 Ambiance - 1/5 These are probably some of the best tea drinks in the Boston area, and I'm so glad this chain has reached Boston. Highly recommend anything in the mango series, at slightly reduced sweetness. I've had some communication issues with questions while ordering so beware of that. Also as it's still newish, there's typically a long line to order and a long line to pickup with nowhere to sit and wait. I would say the ambiance is non-existant and the ambiance of the sidewalk where you're going to spend most of your time waiting is not great. It's all worth it though for these drinks. My last gripe is that the app still doesn't work for this location so it's not like you can order ahead of time or benefit from any rewards.

Has steadily become a favorite stop for us. It's even more awesome when there isn't a 30-1.5hr wait haha, but it's that good. Anytime we in the area or feel like taking a drive we pop down to Allston for some heytea. The one thing i do love is the consistency with the machine they have and their SOP for making drinks. Mango sago grapefruit is hands down the best. Their green tea latte's are good too but we tried the cheese cap one and it was alright. Nothing tops the mango sago so far. We did opt for their guava green grape that dropped the other week and had people flooding to the shop, but it was alright imo. Busy store, busy area, order on the app and check wait times and show up and grab them! First time we went we waited 1.5hr .. not doing that again haha.

I tried to order on the app, but they paused ordering due to being too busy. I opted to go in store... Stopped in around 1 pm on a Sunday. The fresh brewed tea aroma was a good sign! The small shop was packed with people waiting for their drinks, but no line to order. There is a self order kiosk but it was down. No seating - take away only. There is a screen that tells you when they are preparing your order and when it's ready. Staff also call out the number for in store orders when they're ready. Despite being extremely well staffed, from when I ordered, it took 30 minutes to make two drinks. I ordered the supreme brown sugar boba milk tea and the coconut mango boom. I tend to like my drinks with very little sugar and Heytea does the minimal sugar PERFECTLY. The brown sugar boba milk tea was so good. Boba perfectly chewy. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The coconut mango boom was even better. Very refreshing, hint of sweet. I loved that you can still distinctly taste the tea despite the added toppings, milk etc. Pricier but worth every penny. My new favorite boba spot.

This was our 3rd visit for brunch. We came last year and accidentally walked to the location again…read morethis year, only realizing we were at the same place when we recognized the neighborhood. It was a happy accident! On weekends there will likely be a wait for brunch. Service is friendly and efficient. Coffee is served in a really big mug and is piping hot. Breakfast potatoes are crisp and hot and flavorgul. Cholula hot sausce is always on the table. At some point, I will have the lunch or dinner items but I always end up gravitating towards breakfast. We've had the omelettes, power bowl, and breakfast scramble. All were fresh and flavorful. I also had a spiked lemonade which was also tasty.

On a clear, sunny day, after visiting the Isabella Museum, I thought I'd find a brunch spot nearby…read more Shakshuka: The portions were huge, still bubbling hot when it arrived; the meatballs were firm, slightly coarse, and very satisfying; the runny egg was delicate and tempting; the bread had a slightly crispy crust from being pan-fried, while the inside was incredibly soft and delicate, like a cake, perfect for dipping in the sauce. Everything was perfect, except... it was incredibly sour, almost pungent. The sauce was just pure canned tomato flavor, and the pickled peppers were also extremely sour, with a hint of spiciness that made the flavor even more intense. I guess I just couldn't get used to it, as a Chinese; but I'll respect this seasoning, as it's very common in the West. After taking it home, I reheated it with sugar, black pepper, butter, and Parmesan cheese, and mixed with pasta--it instantly felt much smoother and more delicious! The restaurant's decor was simple and rustic, with natural-colored wooden tables that looked gentle and warm in the sunlight. I really liked it.
