a bowl of food on a table

Second time here, really fun concept, delicious fresh food, and a good bargain. Tired of fatty and pesticide/germ-infested animal foods, and pizza. I hope more people try this place out right in Oak Square. Yum!

Great açaí bowls. Love the coffee lover smoothie. Healthy plant based coffee. Plenty of seating and clean bathroom.

Refreshing drink options, worth replacing espresso and coffee with all of the above instead!

Pros: -Roomy, clean, and bright inside! -Lots of vegan options! Cons: -No nutrition info available -Pricey -- Acai Bowls ($9.90) Beautiful and very refreshing, though pricey. Update: thanks to the Energize team for reaching out to let me know the Acai bowl is ~450 calories, and the ingredients they use are all organic which contributes to higher prices.

Yes, yes, and more yes for this juice, smoothie bowl, and salad joint! You can trust they're giving you the best ingredients as well as your money's worth because they pack their smoothies/salads with the good stuff rather than just fillers. Further I always ask if the açaí is sweetened, and this was the FIRST place in Boston where it is NOT--meaning these bowls are actually good for you. My protein bowl with no dates tasted amazing, almost like ice cream, and my salad was filled with great and tasty ingredients. Staff is friendly, place is clean, and they have such an array of toppings and choices you won't leave disappointed!

I woke up really needing some fresh fruits and vegetables, so I turned to Energize. Something I really appreciate about Energize is that their produce is organic, which I don't see as often as I think I should. I ordered the "energize juice" which is a juice of kale, celery, cucumber, green apple, and lime. I also ordered the "green life" smoothie (actually is under their "liquid meal" category, of 24oz smoothies), which consisted of a fresh juice base (juiced cucumber, celery, kale, and lime) blended with avocado spinach and spirulina. The smoothie definitely had an avocado taste to it, which I enjoyed but is definitely an acquired taste. Both the juice and the smoothie were delicious and exactly what I needed this morning. I definitely will be back for more of the same, as well as to try the açaí bowls and salads.

Energize is in a great location in Oak Square in Brighton and with great food and service. I went here with a few friends and I have nothing but great reviews. It was moderately busy, the workers were helpful in explaining the menu, popular items and gave the opportunity to alter whatever we liked. Like all juice, smoothie, and acid bowl places it is on the pricier end but well worth it. They have a variety of bowls, smoothies, juices, and make your own salad bowl. The vibe in the store is modern and welcoming and has plenty of seating space. I got an açaí bowl which was moderately sized but very filling. The only downfall is the parking. There's only street parking and it can be tough to find a spot at times. Overall I would highly recommend for a quick bite to refuel after a workout.

Açaí bowl and green Matcha Bowl
    Songyi W.

I was craving açaí bowls that were similar to the ones I had in Hawaii or LA. Heard good things about Energize and tried it out last weekend. The store is bright and clean with 5-6 tables that you can sit and eat. Menu has a variety of smoothies, juice, and salad options (you can build your own salad). I tried both the Açaí bowl and the Green Matcha bowl - açaí bowl is topped with bananas, strawberries, and granola; matcha bowl is topped with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and chia seeds. I thought both looked pretty and tasted fine, but wished that the toppings were a little more (you only get a handful of blueberries, a couple slices of banana, and maybe 1 strawberry). Also the açaí bowl was a bit overpowered by the banana that was mixed in - it was less fruity and flavorful than the ones I had before. The matcha flavor in the matcha bowl was also very minimal - the bowl was very green but I could barely taste any matcha flavor... It was still a decent breakfast overall, but my hunt for the best açaí bowl continues...

I'm so in love with this place. They provide all fresh ingredients. So far I love their mass health juice and Longevity. The taste is so perfectly mix of veggies and fruits. A lot of people said they yogurt is good too. I will try next time!

The menu was impressive with great options, also telling you all the vitamins and other good stuff contained in each one. I ordered something I hadn't had before, a smoothie called Long Life that included bee pollen along with acai, goji berries (dragonfruit), blueberries, banana, and pitaya. It tasted rich and dense, and felt great to drink! I also had some of my companion's order, which I have to note reminded me of the smoothies I loved getting at B.Good many times before they changed their menu too much over the years, raised the prices, closed multiple locations, and got rid of the glorious apple & bacon kale bowl. It's called the Namaste, a more typical smoothie with mango, kale, spinach, banana, and apple that also tasted fantastic. The service was great too. I for sure recommend visiting 11:11 Health Bar especially if there's a deal or discount happening!

The dips were all good. The whipped feta was creamy, the eggplant had that nice smoky depth and the taramosalata was super interesting, very briny in the best "yes, this is definitely roe" kind of way. Only note is that the Horiatiko Psomi (house bread) could've been warm/toasted for my preference especially given the price of the dips, I expected the bread to be a little more elevated too Then we got the Lahanodolmades (cabbage stuffed with beef and pork, rice, mint, avgolemono). Well seasoned, the cabbage was tender without falling apart and that lemony avgolemono sauce tied everything together- it was bright and savory. For mains, we shared the Moschari me Damaskina (red wine-braised beef cheeks with prunes, trahanas) and Arni stin Souvla (slow-roasted lamb leg). The beef cheek was ridiculously tender- like barely touch it and it falls apart. Rich, slightly sweet from the prunes, with that warm spice note of the cinnamon that balanced the tomato acidity really nicely. The lamb was cooked well and definitely tasty but nothing super extravagant compared to other Greek lamb dishes I've had. Still really yummy especially with the onions and a squeeze of lemon cutting through the lamb. Portion-wise, the pricing felt a little high for what you get but the ambience is beautiful, definitely a great date night spot. Low lighting, cozy, feels elevated without being stuffy

I appreciated how much this place leans into both cultures from decor showcases both cultures to their balanced menu featuring dishes from both. There is ample seating at this place and dont let the construction outside deter you because they are open. We ordered the cheese manakish to start, and this might have been my favorite dish. Balanced with two types of cheese with a light airy texture to it kept it from feeling too dense. The pita its on is crunchy and thin, and theres a drizzle of sauce, likely some form of pesto, that cuts the flavor making it a truly enjoyable dish. We also ordered the chicken kebabs and roasted jerk chicken. The kebabs were a great portion with tender chicken, some greens, and grains. I personally could have used more tzakai, but thats a personal preference. Overall though, the meal did not feel heavy and I left feeling full but not overtly stuffed which I was happy with. My husband's jerk chicken was a sizable dish. The chicken was tender and fell right off the bone, and the pilaf had a nice flavor to it. Overall we really enjoyed our meals. The service can take some time, but its a super small staff so just be patient.
