I thought it would be grilled for some reason but I must have been confused with the menu. I ate half the sandwich and saved the other half to eat at the airport. I ordered through DoorDash so I'm not sure how much blame pressed cafe gets, but the açaí bowl I got was basically a soup with how watery it was. The bottom of the bowl was slightly cold so maybe the DoorDasher had it under a heater, I don't know. Either way I wasted $15 on an açaí bowl that was gross. You can see in the two pics where I tilt it and it slides easily (because it's water). This was very disappointing for my daughter and she couldn't eat any of it. I've had one delivered from tropical smoothie cafe that arrived in an edible state and was delicious. It was just as expensive as this one and half the size, but atleast it was edible and yummy. Wow. Just wow. Went here with my SO, who raved non stop about this place and said it was one of the only things he HAD to do in MA. It was all that and more. First, the menu is extensive, like Cheesecake Factory extensive. If you like Mediterranean inspired food with ridiculously good bakery items that caters easily to those who are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan, do not miss this place. He got the Israeli breakfast sub vegan kofta kebabs for the tuna and I got the vegetable shakshuka. The Israeli plate is a cornucopia of items, the pics don't do it justice. The plate was bigger than his head. He was in heaven, mmmmm-ing and ohhhing as he ate. I had the shakshuka. Now, I make this at home and have eaten it at numerous restaurants. I know good shakshuka. It was divine. The perfect amount of heat, eggs were properly runny, and the veggies were a perfect balance of crunch and spring. An espresso vanilla bean hurricane, was a delightful addition to the rest of our lunch. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The cafe interior was utilitarian and well maintained. The staff delivering food were attentive to other guests needs as they walked by. All in all, excellent food and experience. I look forward to returning. read more

We had an excellent lunch experience with a delivery order from their Newton, MA location. We had a Kids Cheese Quesadilla ($8), a Single Pressed Hamburger ($7.75), a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bagel ($8), a Coconut Curry Bowl ($14), and an Egg White Breakfast Burrito. My Coconut Curry Bowl was great, and pretty close to anything I get at a Thai restaurant. The bowl was loaded with Roasted Carrots, Broccoli, Zucchini, Summer Squash, Red and Green Peppers, Grilled Onions, Pineapple, Spicy Fresno Chili, Cilantro, Lime, House-Made Spicy Coconut Curry Sauce and was served with a side of White Rice and a whole grain pita bread. I added in a rock-bottom $1 surcharge for some grilled chicken cubes. It was a big portion and half of it went in the fridge for the next day. The Pressed Café's menu is very deep with Daily Specials Burgers and Chicken sandwiches, Coffees Smoothies, Raw Juice & Tonics, Acai Bowls, Breakfast All Day(!), Salads & Soup, Kids Meals, Paninis, Signature Bowls, a Vegan Menu, and plenty more. I want to preface by saying I made a very brief stop here on my way home from Boston, so I'm not sure I gave this spot the chance it truly deserves. However, I wasn't overly impressed with their matcha, which had a very earthy, sort of off flavor, even after hearing such great things about their drinks. On the other hand, I've also been told their food is exceptional (specifically their breakfast burritos which I am dying to come back and try), and they have an extensive menu of dishes ranging from breakfast to lunch to desserts to baked goods and snacks. Truly, everything on their food menu sounded fabulous, and I intend on giving them a second chance soon! As for the interior, it's very spacious and bright but definitely felt a little busy. Despite this, their service is quick and efficient. Another reason I'd love to come back for a longer stay. Overall, my first experience here wasn't the greatest, but it's not entirely at the fault of the establishment, so I'd still say to give them a shot! read more

So let me preface this review by saying I actually like Pressed. This review is for their "cheesesteak" and also about the service at the Newton location. The cheesesteak isn't even a real cheesesteak - it's essentially a sliced steak sandwich with way too many ingredients stuffed in and oozy cheese. The sandwich was literally inedible - it fell apart when you picked it up. I get that people want value but the sandwich was so overstuffed, it basically was like a bowl. It was honestly the worst cheesesteak I've ever had in my life. The woman working the bar was very nice but had no awareness when I only ate a few bites and then gave up on the sloppy mess. When you eat a sandwich, the bread should hold up and not disintegrate immediately. I'll probably stick with their bowls going forward and stay away from sandwiches. read more

Highly recommend going here for a good brunch! The place can get quite busy, but if you don't mind you can walk in to grab a seat at the bar. The menu is huge and can get pretty overwhelming (in a good way). All the items we got was great, including blueberry Palmer cocktail and Tel Aviv tuna panini. We also tried their bananas ube foster cold brew & it was amazing! It's a seasonal drink and it's not on the menu (at least when we went), so would suggest asking about it. I was in the mood for some protein, so I chose the Backyard BBQ Protein Bowl that was packed with it. Very tasty.. ribs, chicken, bacon, avocado, quinoa, egg... Got the spicy unicorn burger x 2 (for the sides I got a pasta salad and a potato salad), braised beef poutine, and buffalo cauliflower. I ordered online and walked in to pick up. I ended up getting a detox water and a chia seed coconut pudding. Everything was excellent! The burger was delicious although the bun was flavorless. Ended up getting a couple meals out of the appetizers as they are very large! Every time I have ordered from here pickup is easy but parking isn't always the best. I stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch and the place was packed. Despite this my order was taken quickly and ready for me to go within less than 10 minutes. I ordered their daily special chicken tandoori panini, a regular Mac n cheese, iced matcha, and side of hummus. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because the hummus was A+, the matcha was pretty standard but they did add a lavender flavor for me, the fries were excellent and I liked that they included ketchup without me having to ask for it. The Mac n cheese was overdone, certainly not al dente and not worth the $12 cost. The sandwich was extremely disappointing with dry chicken and a big piece of gristle for my first bite . The onions did not taste pickled to me so they did not pickle them for long enough to add any extra flavor base. I might return to give them another shot but would probably not try another daily special and certainly not anything with chicken. read more

Non-trivially good for you. Nothing mass produced or fast food feeling. The menu is not massive but it is large enough to give you real choices for lunch. We got the spicy greek, challah French toast and pistachio lattes. The French toast was perfect- and I'm not a big French toast person. The flavor was great and it was good portion. The pistachio latte was INCREDIBLE. I would drive here just for this drink... it had real pistachios in it! The place was very clean and well kept, the staff were kind and accommodating.
