My friend and I stopped in for lunch. I got the turkey panini and she got a salad. We sat at the bar. While we waited for them to bring the food, we ordered green monster smoothies. Service was awesome. The smoothies were really good. My sandwich was good too. I liked the bread and the cheese. I thought it would be grilled for some reason but I must have been confused with the menu. I ate half the sandwich and saved the other half to eat at the airport. It not only held up well, it tasted even better. It was 1:30pm on a Monday and the place was packed! It's a well-oiled machine! read more

This first thing I tried was a burger, fries, and juice. I forget the exact ones but I wasn't a fan. I gave them another chance and I'm glad I did. So far, I've had the short rib mac n cheese, steak and cheese, spring fling smoothie and the Mykonos smoothie. The mac n cheese is decent; it's creamy with a crust. The steak and cheese is filled with enough meat and love that they use two cheese. The smoothies are on the tart side and not overly sweet. The thick cut fries are perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper. The service is friendly and efficient. The cashiers are very knowledgeable of the menu. The space is clean and feels welcoming. No pictures yet since I finished eating without making a review. Will be back. read more

I ordered through DoorDash so I'm not sure how much blame pressed cafe gets, but the açaí bowl I got was basically a soup with how watery it was. The bottom of the bowl was slightly cold so maybe the DoorDasher had it under a heater, I don't know. Either way I wasted $15 on an açaí bowl that was gross. You can see in the two pics where I tilt it and it slides easily (because it's water). This was very disappointing for my daughter and she couldn't eat any of it. I've had one delivered from tropical smoothie cafe that arrived in an edible state and was delicious. It was just as expensive as this one and half the size, but atleast it was edible and yummy. Edit: Changing from 2 stars to 3. I called the store and the manager offered to remake it for me so if that's one good, this review can be bumped up to 4-5 stars :D Edit 2: Jose took care of it for me with awesome service. Unfortunately the açaí bowl was only okay so 4 stars is as good as this review will get. read more

Wow. Just wow. Went here with my SO, who raved non stop about this place and said it was one of the only things he HAD to do in MA. It was all that and more. First, the menu is extensive, like Cheesecake Factory extensive. If you like Mediterranean inspired food with ridiculously good bakery items that caters easily to those who are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan, do not miss this place. He got the Israeli breakfast sub vegan kofta kebabs for the tuna and I got the vegetable shakshuka. The Israeli plate is a cornucopia of items, the pics don't do it justice. The plate was bigger than his head. He was in heaven, mmmmm-ing and ohhhing as he ate. I had the shakshuka. Now, I make this at home and have eaten it at numerous restaurants. I know good shakshuka. It was divine. The perfect amount of heat, eggs were properly runny, and the veggies were a perfect balance of crunch and spring. An espresso vanilla bean hurricane, was a delightful addition to the rest of our lunch. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The cafe interior was utilitarian and well maintained. The staff delivering food were attentive to other guests needs as they walked by. All in all, excellent food and experience. I look forward to returning. read more

"When you run to the rocks The rocks will be melting So, downpresser man, where you gonna' run to?" (Peter Toash) The Pressed Café has eleven locations sprinkled throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We had an excellent lunch experience with a delivery order from their Newton, MA location. We had a Kids Cheese Quesadilla ($8), a Single Pressed Hamburger ($7.75), a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bagel ($8), a Coconut Curry Bowl ($14), and an Egg White Breakfast Burrito. My Coconut Curry Bowl was great, and pretty close to anything I get at a Thai restaurant. The bowl was loaded with Roasted Carrots, Broccoli, Zucchini, Summer Squash, Red and Green Peppers, Grilled Onions, Pineapple, Spicy Fresno Chili, Cilantro, Lime, House-Made Spicy Coconut Curry Sauce and was served with a side of White Rice and a whole grain pita bread. I added in a rock-bottom $1 surcharge for some grilled chicken cubes. It was a big portion and half of it went in the fridge for the next day. The Pressed Café's menu is very deep with Daily Specials Burgers and Chicken sandwiches, Coffees Smoothies, Raw Juice & Tonics, Acai Bowls, Breakfast All Day(!), Salads & Soup, Kids Meals, Paninis, Signature Bowls, a Vegan Menu, and plenty more. We were very satisfied with our food, value, and portions. read more

A little overwhelming but very very large menu and good and prompt service. Surprised by how good a chain could be. The business is also so busy that it's a little too much. read more

This place is great. Large variety, food quality above average and really tasty. We moved to the area a few months ago and have been here many times. And we will continue to do so. Highly recommend. One thing to note is that the place is almost always very busy and the parking lot is a bit of a mess. read more

We ordered on the kiosk honestly, the food didn't take too long for us. it did take at least 10 minutes after already receiving our food for me too get my iced Matcha with pumpkin cold foam but it was very good. my sister got an iced Americano with pumpkin cold foam and crème brûlée flavor but wasn't that big of a fan of the crème brûlée part lastly, we both got a sausage egg and cheese sandwich sandwiches, but the sausage tasted a little bit like turkey to us but still tasty and light. It was pretty packed both customer and service wise, there was at least 7 people at the front counter staring at you when you walk in. read more

I want to preface by saying I made a very brief stop here on my way home from Boston, so I'm not sure I gave this spot the chance it truly deserves. However, I wasn't overly impressed with their matcha, which had a very earthy, sort of off flavor, even after hearing such great things about their drinks. On the other hand, I've also been told their food is exceptional (specifically their breakfast burritos which I am dying to come back and try), and they have an extensive menu of dishes ranging from breakfast to lunch to desserts to baked goods and snacks. Truly, everything on their food menu sounded fabulous, and I intend on giving them a second chance soon! As for the interior, it's very spacious and bright but definitely felt a little busy. Despite this, their service is quick and efficient. Another reason I'd love to come back for a longer stay. Overall, my first experience here wasn't the greatest, but it's not entirely at the fault of the establishment, so I'd still say to give them a shot! read more

My order: Curry bowl with grilled salmon The review: Pressed café is an incredible option for entertaining people with a variety of preferences. The curry bowl was really good and spicy. The rice was not what I was expecting, but it's a Mediterranean place so curry was a stretch! I do recommend sticking to Mediterranean/breakfast dishes for the best outcome here, but if you're craving it, the other genres of food are still delish! read more

After a basketball session at the YMCA a friend took our team to the this cafe so that we can try the açaí bowl. The açaí bowl is like no other!!! Indeed it is one of the best I've had in spite of having grown up with them in California. I was so surprised! I recommend the classic açaí bowl! Friends and I have agreed that this particular time there were more grain than actual açaí than expected. Apparently that is usually not the case so just be aware of the proportions :) We went around late morning, early afternoon and saw a lot of families. It's a nice place to just hang out and be in good company! read more

Highly recommend going here for a good brunch! The place can get quite busy, but if you don't mind you can walk in to grab a seat at the bar. The menu is huge and can get pretty overwhelming (in a good way). All the items we got was great, including blueberry Palmer cocktail and Tel Aviv tuna panini. We also tried their bananas ube foster cold brew & it was amazing! It's a seasonal drink and it's not on the menu (at least when we went), so would suggest asking about it. The atomosphere was great & waitress were super nice. read more

Pressed is usually excellent, but I've noticed that they've gotten sloppy lately. I placed an order for 3 of us. I got a ham & cheese sandwich which didn't include mustard. Who makes a ham & cheese without mustard?? Blandest sandwich ever. I requested barbecue chips, got billed 50 cents for it, but didn't get the chips. By the time we realized they shorted us the chips, we were on the road. I guess their golden days are past them. There are better choices. I'll miss the "old" Pressed with their flavorful sandwiches and excellent order management. read more

" Healthy , fresh and tasty : best smoothies in town " The food here is fresh , healthy and tasty . The food is also filling . The service is friendly. The vibe is welcoming. It's reasonably priced . Parking is not an issue they have a big parking they share with other vendors . It does get full on weekends. However they have lots of staff so the line moves quickly. I am fortunate to have this location so close to home . This is the best place for smoothies in my area as well . They are filling . Also made fresh in front of you , if you like too , watch , lol. It's well worth the price . I definitely will put this as my new smoothie spot ! read more

So let me preface this review by saying I actually like Pressed. This review is for their "cheesesteak" and also about the service at the Newton location. The cheesesteak isn't even a real cheesesteak - it's essentially a sliced steak sandwich with way too many ingredients stuffed in and oozy cheese. The sandwich was literally inedible - it fell apart when you picked it up. I get that people want value but the sandwich was so overstuffed, it basically was like a bowl. It was honestly the worst cheesesteak I've ever had in my life. The woman working the bar was very nice but had no awareness when I only ate a few bites and then gave up on the sloppy mess. When you eat a sandwich, the bread should hold up and not disintegrate immediately. I'll probably stick with their bowls going forward and stay away from sandwiches. read more

What a menu! Right up my alley. It is actually good and bad because you want to try EVERYTHING! I am bummed because I was only visiting, so I'll probably not have the chance to return for a while. I'm glad to have visited! This location is cool. Parking was a little limited, but we were able to get a spot after a little bit. Went on a Tuesday late afternoon, wasn't over packed, but definitely had a nice crowd. We were able to find a seat... was probably just a couple left. Ordering was friendly and easy. You order at the counter, I'm glad that is still with an actual person and not a screen. They bring your food to you.. they also remove your items, and pack your items if needed. I was in the mood for some protein, so I chose the Backyard BBQ Protein Bowl that was packed with it. Very tasty.. ribs, chicken, bacon, avocado, quinoa, egg... I had to ask for extra BBQ sauce on the side to sauce it up a bit. It was filling and fresh. I love their cocktail menu. Will definitely look to try the next time I'm in town. read more

Got the spicy unicorn burger x 2 (for the sides I got a pasta salad and a potato salad), braised beef poutine, and buffalo cauliflower. I ordered online and walked in to pick up. I ended up getting a detox water and a chia seed coconut pudding. Everything was excellent! The burger was delicious although the bun was flavorless. Ended up getting a couple meals out of the appetizers as they are very large! Every time I have ordered from here pickup is easy but parking isn't always the best. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, it is a nice little place to go to but I rarely sit inside. It is always very busy and thus the food is always fresh! read more

I stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch and the place was packed. Despite this my order was taken quickly and ready for me to go within less than 10 minutes. I ordered their daily special chicken tandoori panini, a regular Mac n cheese, iced matcha, and side of hummus. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because the hummus was A+, the matcha was pretty standard but they did add a lavender flavor for me, the fries were excellent and I liked that they included ketchup without me having to ask for it. The Mac n cheese was overdone, certainly not al dente and not worth the $12 cost. The sandwich was extremely disappointing with dry chicken and a big piece of gristle for my first bite . The onions did not taste pickled to me so they did not pickle them for long enough to add any extra flavor base. I might return to give them another shot but would probably not try another daily special and certainly not anything with chicken. read more

LETTUCE PRAY these salads never go away! The salads here are amazing with huge portion sizes and fresh ingredients. My favorite is the mediterranean kale. The spicy feta and tuna on the salad are so good, that I request them to be added to any other salad I order. For the price, it's worth every penny. I haven't tried anything else from here besides the salads but I can't imagine it being bad. Definitely check this place out!! read more

Everyone loves Pressed Cafe. I love Pressed Cafe. My old high school friends make this the preferred location for get together meals. This might mean the place is good. * * * Pressed Cafe is a chain - a fine one. The Newton Upper Falls version is located in the light industrial belt on Needham Ave - the kind of place that needs a lunch joint for all the people who work there. Since Needham and Newton are expensive places - a yuppie sensibility rules on the menu. I am a Yuppie. I have a Yuppie sensibility. A lot of Yelpers have Yuppie sensibilities. So this is all good at least for me - and probably for you too. * * * Here Yuppie sensibility means eggs and plate dishes with lots and lots and lots of really good fresh vegetables. Super tasty. Non-trivially good for you. Nothing mass produced or fast food feeling. The menu is not massive but it is large enough to give you real choices for lunch. If you ate here five days a week every week, you would not have to repeat a dish until well into your second or third month. This is a decent choice for business meetings too ... Since they have enough healthy meat to satisfy your carnivores and hearty eaters And enough vegan to satisfy anyone on any diet. * * * All in all a fine place. I wish one of these had been next to MY workplace. read more

This place is really, really good. The downside is the fact that it gets very busy around lunchtime and so finding a seat is tough. Food is delicious - whether its a bowl, a burrito, or breakfast food. Customer service is great. I've come across some reviews that say that this place has gotten sloppy. Not at all. They get very busy and mistakes happen. What matters is that they fix it, if something goes wrong. I highly recommend this place. I've been coming here for years. read more

My company has ordered take out from this location several times, and I've eaten there as well. It is very busy, especially during lunchtime. Good luck finding a seat! I appreciate the variety of options offered - they have vegan and vegetarian options among many others. The pistachio latte was INCREDIBLE. I would drive here just for this drink... it had real pistachios in it! The place was very clean and well kept, the staff were kind and accommodating. We had sent our food back because we thought they made a mistake- but it turns out we read the description wrong. I stopped by Pressed tonight and grabbed The Bridge panini -- unfortunately, it was really disappointing. There was hardly any substance to it. Definitely not worth the money. I was really hoping for something better. read more

Thank you Pressed Cafe. I had put in an online order and had requested a gluten free wrap on the side.
