This place has grown into a cute, reliable, tasty start to my day! Very convenient in Newton corner, expanding hours, looking for help, aren't we all? Wonderful breakfast and lunch options, even for the vegetarian. Sean is a great man, and he has a beautiful family. Please check them out! A nice comfortable space to enjoy spring eating!

Do yourself a favor and go have breakfast at the Corner Cafe! Everything was perfect but service was top notch! I order the 2x2x2 and was great! Fluffy pancakes and perfect over easy eggs with crunchy, on point back! Mike remind you that this gem is cash only and Christian cooks everything deliciously! Coffe makes also a difference! Thank you!

‍ What can I say? I feel like I set myself up for failure this morning when I walked into the Corner Cafe for my usual ice coffee that I never have to explain how to make because the team actually are so patient with me sometimes I get mad hearing my own self order. Today, I thought maybe I will throw them off a little and order something different and also order something that I love so much if any thing on it is wrong it's all over for me. Well my steak and cheese sub was made exactly the way I wanted it. What I didn't expect, was that it would be so beyond this World amazing. I am starting to depress myself having so many great things to say about one establishment. My friends do not even know who I am anymore!!!. I'm starting to guess about that myself. Guess that will happen to you when you find what you've been searching for. Cozy, comfy, friendly, family-style restaurant called the corner Café. Check them out tell them Sophia sent you.

The service is always spot on, even when they get busy during the weekend brunch rush. (You should count on needing a reservation at those times.) Of course, none of that would matter if the food wasn't also excellent! We always order banana caramel pecan french toast for the group to share. The french toast on its own is custardy and delicious (unlike some places that just feel like dry bread), but the roasted bananas along with the buttery caramel and pecans take it to the next level. The fries are also the platonic ideal of a french fry that always surprise us: crispy, not greasy, and well seasoned, while still having a fluffy center. I often get the shakshuka or the aleppo-style eggs for my main, which are both delicious, veggie-forward, and filling. But the hidden gem is the oatmeal, which is packed with fruit, perfectly cooked, and creamy as can be. Since the food is halal, there are no pork products, and as a lover of regular bacon, I can say with confidence the beef bacon will surprise you with how similar it is! My vegetarian friends also love the variety of the options, and the meat eaters are always satisfied.

The service is quick and super friendly. My friend and I had finished our meals, and the staff were letting us try different baklava flavors they had, simply out of the kindness of their heart. They would just walk up to us while we were chatting and they'd give us more samples. It was really a great time! My Nutella Crêpe was cold but it would've been amazing if the melted Nutella was still warm inside, but all in all it was still good. My friend got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and funny enough hers was too hot at first haha so she let it sit for a sec and really liked it. Water is also self service here-- another community vibe to it all. I def want to come back for their lunch menu!

I came on a Tuesday before noon there was no wait and the place was half empty. We were seated quickly but waited a long time for our food. We started with the cheesy tater tots. They were good. 4 to an order is kind of small but they tasted good. The cheese sauce was reminiscent of velveeta. For mains we got the gochujang chicken sandwich and the pastrami sandwich. The chicken sandwich was cooked well and large in size but underwhelming in flavor. The pastrami sandwich was spicy but had a lot of flavor going on but wasn't memorable. The waffle fries were hot and crisp with a nice seasoning to them. Served with a big half sour pickle. I would go back and try other things. I can't make a full judgement on a sandwich at a place that specializes in brunch so I would try it again. I think this would be a super fun spot to meet with the girlies. It had a few flight options on drinks that looked interesting.

There were a lot of options for food and it was hard to decide! They have everything from Shakshuka to their "croffle"! The croffle was incredible- very decadent- and the omelets were very generous with their portions and had toast and home fried potatoes! There's tables mostly for smaller groups, but they easily accommodated us and another large group. I ordered the fig prosciutto panini, which was admittedly smaller than what I was expecting but delicious for breakfast. Coffee saved me from my early morning flight too-- effective and tasty. I think my only knock was that I'd have hoped my particular dish was a bit more generous in portioning, but given a look at the other things my friends ordered, this looks like it's not necessarily the norm across dishes. Great quick bite-- parking is pretty easy on this street in the morning too, so I'd recommend!
