Vegetable omelet with wheat toast and home fries

A diner atmosphere with basic American breakfast staples and an inexpensive vibe. The two-person Memorial Day staff handled the cooking, the service, and the register, and somehow stayed on top of the 20 people in the restaurant with timely, trained service. We ordered omelets, which came in at just $10 each before tax, and were accompanied by hash browns or home fries, and two slices of toast. Everything lacked salt. You'll get what you expect, which might be perfect.

Great little greasy spoon for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, with us favoring the former two. Atmosphere/Ambience: unassuming 80s-style diner. Wonderful step back in time. Almost all bar seating with 70s-80s style stools and a few two person high-tops. Lots of photos of regular customers, sponsored youth sports teams, and celebrities who've visited. Tons of laminated pics of food and chalk/white board style listing of items. Service: Quick. Actually very quick. Sometimes are some barking of orders and is a fast-paced show to see. They definitely have their method and it works. Very customer-friendly. Lots of people and local blue collar workers showing up for pick-up, plenty of first-name basis customers. Food: Unassuming and just good. It's what you'd want from a diner. Not a hipster nuevo take on a diner. Just classic. The breakfast combos are great. The omelets nice. Food sometimes not giant portions but the prices are low! Coffee is fine. Price: Also stuck in a cheaper (simpler?) time. A big draw when considering what you get for the mulah. Tend to come back fairly regularly. It services its purpose!

I've lived in the Chestnut Hill area my entire life and finally decided to try the place I've been eyeing on Hammond. Came here with a friend on a Sunday morning for brunch, and we both ordered the breakfast combos. Mine came with pancakes, eggs of choice, bacon, and hashbrowns. Hers came with the same and additional French toast. The food was just okay. The bacon and hashbrowns were perfect. Pancakes were tasty but unevenly cooked, eggs were a bit stringy. I ordered a Vanilla iced coffee with it and it didn't taste too great, I didn't finish it. I did notice something off putting, however. The Tobasco hot sauce on the table was a YEAR past the expiration date... seeing things like that make me question the quality and freshness of the food. The service was not great either. The waitress seemed impatient and not eager to make special requests. The food came out quickly though, and we were out the door within 30 minutes.

Cute little breakfast spot. The service was very good and personable. The food was okay though, more like a 3.5 experience. Diners are my fav but I have had better food. The menu was very basic. The overall taste was also average.

This is a classic no frills little hole in the wall diner spot, with a huge menu. They have some Asian food as well as all the usual American diner stuff that you would expect for such as burgers, sandwiches, soup, etc. The ladies serving us were nice and prompt, we were able to get in and out on our lunch break with no problem.

Weak $4 tea, no refills. Not that any of us wanted more after trying it.

Laughably small lunch special sandwiches, $4 iced tea that was as weak as it could be brewed. No refills. The fries were unseasoned, the home fries were completely unseasoned and bland. The bacon was paper thin. Communication was a bit of an issue, as the one lady didn't speak English and my French is terrible. She also seemed put off when anything was requested. One of the ladies was very nice, but they seemed overwhelmed with only three pairs of customers in the restaurant when our small group sat down. Overall, I have trouble believing all of these reviews are based on the food or the service. The three of us are going to go get some lunch after the tiny portions of bland food and terrible, yet expensive tea that we had.

Solid diner food, and a surprisingly expansive menu that includes many different types of food. I came here for breakfast and got a combo that was two cinnamon apple pancakes, eggs (scrambled) with cheese (American) and bacon. I also got a toastes plain bagel to make my own breakfast sandwich, and a banana bubble tea. The bubble tea was more like a smoothie with boba than a traditional bubble tea. Much thicker and colder (more ice blended in), but it was delicious. If I were to order the drink again I'd get it without the boba, as the coldness hardens the boba and makes them harder to chew. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The prices were average, except for the bubble tea which I thought was on the cheaper side ($5.50) compared to bubble tea shops where it's usually over $7 now. Would recommend if you are in the area. I don't live closeby, but I can tell from the people that came in that's it is a spot that has a lot of regulars.

The food is the best. It's busy on weekends but worth the wait. Can't recommend enough.

There is NO wheelchair accessible seating, contrary to what some web listings. A wasted effort for us.

"When you run to the rocks The rocks will be melting…read moreSo, downpresser man, where you gonna' run to?" (Peter Toash) The Pressed Café has eleven locations sprinkled throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We had an excellent lunch experience with a delivery order from their Newton, MA location. We had a Kids Cheese Quesadilla ($8), a Single Pressed Hamburger ($7.75), a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bagel ($8), a Coconut Curry Bowl ($14), and an Egg White Breakfast Burrito. My Coconut Curry Bowl was great, and pretty close to anything I get at a Thai restaurant. The bowl was loaded with Roasted Carrots, Broccoli, Zucchini, Summer Squash, Red and Green Peppers, Grilled Onions, Pineapple, Spicy Fresno Chili, Cilantro, Lime, House-Made Spicy Coconut Curry Sauce and was served with a side of White Rice and a whole grain pita bread. I added in a rock-bottom $1 surcharge for some grilled chicken cubes. It was a big portion and half of it went in the fridge for the next day. The Pressed Café's menu is very deep with Daily Specials Burgers and Chicken sandwiches, Coffees Smoothies, Raw Juice & Tonics, Acai Bowls, Breakfast All Day(!), Salads & Soup, Kids Meals, Paninis, Signature Bowls, a Vegan Menu, and plenty more. We were very satisfied with our food, value, and portions.
