I ate here such a long time ago after a round of golf and so annoyed that I haven't been back until today. Their food is outstanding. We got two breakfast sandwiches today and they were literally some of the best we've ever had. I live so close by and planning to hit up soon for their delicious-looking lunch offerings. It's really cozy inside and the interior design is really welcoming. Chef was super friendly too. All in all, I'd give it way more than 5 stars if I could. Group of us left an event at the park up the street a friend recommended a stop here...some how we landed in the parking lot across the drive and wandered into what felt like a large closet. YES, we serve food and a wide variety for the casual counter we're standing in front of. This appears to be a golf club food shack. Clearly, this venue is not run by the club; but, by restauranteurs who know the drill. Reading the reviews...seemed fair except their low hype and big delivery charmed us to returning and returning. To be completely honest, I saw the reviews and was extremely suspicious. I thought that maybe it was being paid for, or that it was a case of too few reviews. I am glad that I was wrong. The chicken. Wow. For the price, you get 4 large pieces of boneless fried chicken with some of the crunchiest skin I've ever had and the softest and juiciest pieces of chicken. The seasoning, oh my god. It's so good. It will say that it was a little salty, but that may be because I ate what could have been a meal for two people and I was dehydrated (oops). The fries were delicious, and the house-made ranch was great too. It seems that they have some other sauces as well, which I wish I tried. Anyhow the reviews are right, get the chicken!! You can sit on the patio outside and watch golfers, or you can sit inside, but sitting outside was a great view. Just order at the counter in the building, take your number, then sit wherever you want. I could smell the meat being smoked and see the smoke wafting from the side. Delish! I got the pulled pork which was so good that it didn't even need the sauces. That said, both sauces were out of this world. Can't wait to come back to try the brisket and the ribs "from the smoker." Super tasty homemade pickled vegetables too. My spouse got the cheeseburger. It's an order at the counter and they bring it to you deal. Prices were reasonable. I went because I read the hype about this being a great fried chicken place. My friend enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich. I wasn't thrilled with the fried chicken plate. The 3 pieces were unidentifiable as chicken parts. I think pretending it's chicken is mostly an excuse to eat lots of crispy batter. It's great batter if that's what you're after. Generous portion of well made fries. Very overpriced and low quality meat, they smother everything in sauce so you can't tell how crappy their meat is. I don't like barbecue sauce so I ordered a brisket sandwich without sauce like I do at many other bbq places, it was a 4/10. Once a month the Hemlock Grill does a ticketed dinner. It was a really great experience, the chef takes full creative control for a tasting menu. I thought the key lime pie was outstanding and a highlight of the meal. I also hear they have an outstanding chicken sandwich that I will have to try on my next visit. read more

I came here for the second time in a week. First on a weekday for a chicken sandwich and second on a Saturday for a brisket sandwich. Both times during late lunch, it was not very full. But I was full! The chicken sandwich is delicious, crispy, juicy and a very good size. The smoked brisket sandwich was amazing also. I got 36 slices of brisket piled onto a roll. Smoky, juicy, slightly fatty pieces of brisket, complemented perfectly with sweet pickles, and, yellow barbecue sauce. I even saw one of the crew pulling the brisket out of the smoker to make slices. Both times I had a draft trillium while sitting outside. Particularly in the fall the ambiance was perfect, with a couple colorful trees overlooking the golf course and familiar tunes playing over the speaker. This is a treasure in hiding. The restaurant lacks exterior lighting but is worth plugging into map and showing up! Excellent fried chicken, delicious pulled pork plate with fantastic potato salad and other sides in huge portion. They also give you a pile of pickled veggies.
