Here's why I love Rox Diner: I'm not a diner/breakfast fan, but my husband and brother are. I don't love the feeling of having a huge and heavy breakfast that makes me want to sleep all day. Which is why I *love* Rox Diner because they have something for everyone -- the G.O.A.T. is my favorite -- poached eggs on baby spinach with goat cheese crumbles, smoked salmon, avocado, multigrain toast (from Fornax -- amazing bread) with red and green hot sauces. Meanwhile my husband gets a special like the lemon ricotta pancakes with hash browns, sausage, bacon, eggs, etc., and I get a satisfying taste of his. Pretty much everything is sourced locally (bread, meats, hot sauces). Thanks RoxDiner, for providing a "healthy" diner experience that doesn't make me want to go back to bed! read more

Rox is one of the warmest and most welcoming places in Boston (I know it's West Roxbury, but still...). The food is amazing! Try the Farmers Market Omelette with the best fresh veggies. My favorite pancakes are the blueberry, pecan, mascarpone. Melt in your mouth! The family that owns Rox will make you feel as though you are family! Since moving to NY, I miss this place and the warmth of the people here. Love it! read more

Cheap, good quality diner food on Centre st in West Roxbury. I like their big breakfast which comes with eggs, your choice of meat, and choice of toast. Service is great and quick. This is a great choice for a bite to eat in the West Roxbury area. read more

I love this place. Good food with a friendly staff in a comfortable setting. The thing is that they have really good quality food sourced locally. The menu is extensive for breakfast, brunch or lunch. So many choices. I had the farmers omelette that was delicious. I am sure they pickle their own pickles. The sourdough bread was fabulous as well as the potatoes. I need to go back for lunch. They had a house made vegetarian burger with sweet potatoes and black beans. I get it's the bomb. Visiting town from Florida for work and stumbled across this charming diner! The amazing Rebecca was my server and she was fantastic! The 90s r&b jams was the cherry on my sundae. She asked my name from the start and used it the whole time, nice touch Rebecca! I ordered the G.O.A.T and side of fries, simple and perfect! My sister and I are here visiting from Michigan. My brother brought us to this lovely old-fashioned coffee shop for breakfast. The coffee shop had a old school ambience about it which was welcoming. I didn't catch the owner's name but she was phenomenal very attentive their wait staff also great! I had a vegetarian omelette with sourdough bread and crispy potatoes the way my mother used to make, my sister had the avocado toast and let me tell you she enjoyed it because she didn't talk at all during breakfast. Solid local diner that I will be definitely coming back too. I got an omelette and my friend got an eggs Benedict. The omelette was very cheesy, filling, and tasty! I also was obsessed with the home fries. I was full for about half the day after this well priced breakfast. Service was pretty quick and friendly! The sound in the restaurant was not too loud and easy to have a good conversation with friends. Next time I'm back, I'll take photos! read more

Great diner although it can get busy! Prices are good and the staff was friendly. Items we ordered (as of 8/2022) - The Big Rig - $14 - Pancakes were phenomenal with just the right amount of sweetness. Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Eggs were cooked to order perfectly as well. Great value for the price. - Grilled Reuben - $12 - Darn tasty. Corned beef was delicious and the size was great for the price. Got the cole slaw as the side which was okay but nothing special. I'd get fries next time. Overall for the price you pay this is a great location for a fantastic brunch. read more

it was packed when we walked in, but a couple of two seaters were available, so the host told us to seat ourselves. we had the avocado toast, its different than other avocado toast we had. the toast was on a thin bread and had cheese on top of it. then we had a french toast combo, the scramble eggs seem like it was not from the real eggs, but the carton ones. was a bit disappointed because we wanted real eggs. the French toast was regular bread. it was ok. read more

I've been going to the Rox Diner nearly every Saturday since moving to the area in 2016. Now that I'm about to move away, I sincerely will miss my Saturday routine there, the fantastic and consistently excellent food, and most of all the friendly, "treat you like family" service. I hope that several people will read this review and take my breakfast barstool. Rebecca at the Rox...well...rocks!! My 2 daughters and I go there all the time and she already has our drinks on the table within a minute of us being there before we even order. She is so friendly (like all the staff--Lola and Alba to name a couple others), she provides amazing service and the food is always great! Easily the best place to get breakfast!! read more

First time after driving by often. The eggs Benedict was outstanding; I could tell the hollandaise was homemade, with just the right amount of juice from fresh lemons. The home fries were some of the best I've ever had because they're crunchy but not overcooked. And of course Rebecca. I came here looking for a new spot and found my new favorite! When we came and sat down, we told Rebecca that it was our first time here and after asking us a few questions, she told us what to order. Everything was so delicious and I am now converted to pancakes after eating theirs. Try the blueberry marscapone pancake, if you come in for lunch, order it as a side, just so you can experience it. Came here because they had great reviews on Yelp and they have gluten free options. They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions that they even cooked the potatoes separately and had gluten free bread. One tip to readers make a reservation I didn't realize you can join the waitlist on Yelp which will save time when you get there. It gets pretty packed quickly. We got there around 10AM on Sunday and it did slow down a bit towards 11AM but I'm pretty sure it picked right back up. I got the cornbeef hash which was so good! It was so well seasoned and potions were more than enough. My partner got the Fine Dine Breakfast Sandwich and I quote "it was more than fine" - we will excuse the pun but overall from the servers to the food I would 100% recommended. read more

Rox Diner is such a cute neighborhood spot for brunch. I always receive great customer service, especially from Rebecca! She got me hooked to their Apple Oats & Cinnamon pancakes with Marscapone. The flavors marry so well with each bite it just melts in your mouth. Top if off with some maple syrup for a little razzle dazzle! Now I'm adding at least one pancake to every order. Followed yelp suggestions and visited here Friday morning while in the area. We had tried once before but wait was too long so going on a weekday is a plus. A bit classic and old school, this has a neat cafe/diner kind of feel. Nice breakfast menu and even Bloody Mary's on the menu. I went with a traditional Western Omelet that was cooked perfectly and quite tasty. The potatoes were even better than the omelet. I ordered a side of marble rye toast and it was good but needed a bit more butter but my fault for not asking for more. My wife had the Bloody Mary which was okay and I had a delicious coke. Service was quick, place was busy and prices were fair. On street parking can be tricky but I'm guessing locals know some secret spots. read more

What a sweet find!! Looking for breakfast or lunch and found both! The menu had EVERYTHING from breakfast to lunch and everything looks so good! Omelettes, Benedicts (Bennys), pancakes, French toast, sandwiches, burgers!! Oh my how will I decide? Oh...and they serve mimosas, bloody Mary's and Irish coffee too!! And did i mention DELICIOUS? Excellent diner!! Loved the Roxi which had home fries, two eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and french toast. The french toast was one of the best we have ever had and the sausage was awesome. We specialize in comfort food prepared with creativity and love. We only use cage-free, certified humane eggs. We get our bread from local bakeries and only use 100% real butter. We squeeze oranges for our fresh Orange Juice every morning. The employees looked a bit frazzled- the line was mostly new customers (like me) who saw the coverage. Everyone was friendly and sandwiches are made to order- they cut the meat as they maybe each order. It took just about an hour to get to the counter- there were at least 30 people ahead of me. I ordered the Italian sub without veggies, a pint of olives and meatballs with cheese and bread. Everything was delicious. Sandwich was excellent-meatballs were amazing. I would call ahead of order online in the future- and let some time pass as it will likely be busy like this for awhile. They use their space well. Lots of free parking. Paid with my phone using Apple Pay. It was good enough that I'd make a special trip to drive the 14 miles to get a repeat order.

The texture of the bagels had a nice crispy crunch and chew. Almost like a flaky / crunchy texture and it was very good, not overly thick bagel. Great breakfast sandwich. Just glad they had bagels in stock still, some competitions seem to sell out by 9 everyday. Haha make more!

Subs here are 11 inches long and narrow so they are easy to grasp single handedly. Beef (& cheese!) Empanadas $3.49 are kept warm and crispy in the carousel, and the filling packed a bit of spicy heat. A product of El Monterey according to the wrapper it was presented in. Their Breakfast Burritos $5.49 are more like burrito plus breakfast. The burrito fillings being those of black beans, salsa, and cheese, plenty of cheese, plus the breakfast elements of salty bacon and eggs. Cheeseburgers and steak & cheese subs each came with plenty of beef. I wonder if they would have added some fresh veggies (I'm thinking lettuce and tomatoes) if I had thought to ask. Service is pleasant at Marino's. They have their own parking lot for maybe a double handful of cars, right next to Al Wadi.

Again why isn't there a 3.5 star? We hit up this place while driving around West Roxbury looking for a place to snack. I never went there as it used to be called Auntie B's so we decided to try it. The average age when we walked in was probably in the 50s so we felt very young. Not a bad thing but hearing elderly people greet each other every 2 minutes because they all know each other can be a little straining to the atmosphere. I ordered the California Club with onion rings and my girlfriend had the Avocado, Pecan, Pear, Goat Cheese salad with a side of home fries. The food came pretty quick and the serving size was pretty good. My club was a little short of amazing. The crispy bacon definitely brings out the turkey and the avocado. The extra piece of toasted rye bread was a good addition too. The only down point was I asked for red onions on it, but they forgot. The salad according to my girlfriend was delicious. I'm not a big fan of salads... This is a nice cozy place but it gets crowded very fast. The service is friendly but gets slow at times due to the crowding. A cheap eat and definitely worth coming. read more
