Had take out so can't vouch for the interior, but appears very cool and retro. Menu seems more fit for a breakfast/brunch, but I had lunch with the Classic Club. Highly recommend this sandwich, I got no bacon but you can do as you please. Great sauce and lots of chicken and fries.

Been here before and had wonderful experiences with food and service. Not today babay! Myself and 1 elderly guest came in today and we waited to be seen for 15 minutes as they seated folks at the bar. We didn't get a smile, greeting, not even a "please wait while we get ourselves together " we just stood there looking insanely ridiculous!!!! I asked for the manager to explain and lo and behold we have a seat! Go figure! At this point, I'm not even waiting to taste the food before I review. If ignoring us was racially motivated, that really sucks! On the other hand, they may just be hiring incompetent, and careless staff. Will probably be another 3 years before I visit again!

I was in Dedham for an early morning appointment and stopped to the 50s diner for breakfast. It was easy to find and had parking. I was surprised that they were cash only but said okay knowing I would need to use the ATM inside the restaurant. I was greeted promptly and being a solo diner asked if I wanted to sit at the counter or a table. I chose a table. The menu was at the table and had both breakfast and lunch items. The interior was decorated 50s themed with decor and pictures. Service was quick and fast price point was great! I got the breakfast burrito for 6.50 and a side of French toast for 3.70 along with a cranberry juice. To total was less than $15! Great deal and yummy breakfast. If I'm ever in the area again I'll return.

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch on President's Day and had an enjoyable experience. The diner does not take reservations and there was a long line, but it moved pretty quickly. (A sign of a great restaurant is when there's a line out the door)! We waited about 20-25 mins to be seated. This place is cash-only, but that's part of its fifties era charm. They are not open for dinner, but their breakfast and lunch menus are huge and have a lot of variety. The restrooms were clean, which is of great importance to me when writing a review! The food was fresh and delicious- I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and he got the Classic Club Sandwich with fries and a side of fruit. We were pleased with the value. The portions were generous and we spent about $40 for the two of us. Our server was attentive and checked in on us frequently. The ambience is low key, casual, and very much how I envision a real fifties diner would have been. There are photos of Elvis on the wall! Even though it's busy, the tables are spaced far enough apart so that it doesn't feel crowded. It was actually pretty quiet and we had no trouble hearing each other. I would definitely come back here for lunch and I also want to try their brunch since the menu looks really good! I'm so glad I stumbled on this hole-in-the-wall diner which is a true gem!

First time eating here. I was in the area shopping and the frappes on their website looked yummy. And yes, they were. I ordered one and apparently it comes as two. Bonus! Though I wasn't expecting it. I tried my best two drink both and took the second in a to go cup. It was very light and the cream on top was delicious. Had the hot dog with fries. It was good. My waitress was very nice. The only downfall was being placed at the table at the men's room door. I understand because it was only me they didn't want to seat me at the bigger table, but it's not the best to eat food. I find it gross. Other than that, cute little place.

First time here after a friend recommended it and I'll definitely be back. Can't believe I've passed by this place hundreds of times to get to Legacy Place. I've always been curious as I've seen a line out the door at times. This is a great hidden treasure, the food came out fast and warm. If you like the traditional Diner feel, this is truly it. Feels cozy and traditional. It's cash only so make sure you have some offhand but I also think there's a nearby ATM if not inside. Busy inside but we got lucky and a seat right away, I think the customers are mostly locals which is nice as well - hey neighbors! They have several different options for hot sauce (Chalula, Tobasco, Franks). I ordered the eggs Benedict which is always my go to and the eggs were nice and soft, crispy homefries, and no issues substituting the bacon for Turkey sausage (I try to avoid eating pork).

Conveniently located in Dedham, the restaurant is known for its diverse menu, attentive service, and comfortable setting that's suitable for both casual dining and special occasions. For our meal, we enjoyed the seared lobster served with garlic potatoes, jasmine rice, and broccoli, all cooked to perfection. The lobster was tender and flavorful, while the garlic potatoes were well-seasoned and complemented the dish beautifully. The jasmine rice was light and fragrant, and the broccoli was perfectly cooked--fresh, vibrant, and not overdone. The combination created a balanced and satisfying meal that showcased the kitchen's attention to detail. Overall, Orchid 7 delivered an absolutely fabulous dining experience with quality ingredients, careful preparation, and delicious flavors throughout the meal. The owner/Chef fixed an excellent one of kind meal for us. Oh by the way lobster is not on the menu. Also note the staff is friendly and the ambiance is very relaxing.

It pains me to write this review but I hope it's seen by management and they address this issue. I had a friend visiting from another state (drove for 10 hours in snow and ice). I was excited to bring them here for brunch. I made a reservation online the day before just in case. We arrived at 10am and the doors were locked. The hours said they'd be open at 9am. Tried getting the staff's attention but it seemed like we were being ignored. I called the phone number several times. No one picked up even though I could see staff inside. I even tried sending them a message on social media but no response. We ended up going to the breakfast spot next door. When we were done, we walked past the restaurant and of course it was open then. Needless to say, this experience was super disappointing. Communication about updated hours or picking up the phone isn't too much to ask for. One bad experience isn't a dealbreaker but two will be. I hope management fixes this quickly.

It's colorful, it's groovy, it's bright, it's nostalgic. Even the employees are wearing shirts with funky themes and patterns. There are TVs showing shows from back then. The floors are checkered, the ceiling is silver, the chairs are red and the tables are blue. We were seated at a booth, which can more than comfortably sit 4-6 people. The menu is HUGE, think cheesecake factory but for a diner. There's a little bit of everything but the font and everything around it makes it hard to focus on what each item is. I went very simple and chose the Simon and Garfunkel which included two pancakes or French toast, two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, toast, and home fries for $18.99. After about 15 minutes, our food came out. The bacon could have been crispier, with some parts being wobbly. The sausage was thick, juicy, and savory. The potatoes were a little bland and mushy on the outside. The eggs were cooked medium, just how I requested them, and the englush muffin was a little different than your traditional ones since it didn't have the little pockets of air but it was still good. The French toast was moist, but I wish it had more cinnamon - the egg was the dominant flavor. Overall, it was a very satisfying breakfast. There is plenty of parking as it's in a plaza

We sat at "the snug" bar hidden in a back room (sounds cooler than it was). We started with fries, which were cooked nicely to a golden brown but tasted dry as a bone! They could have used some (or a lot of) seasoning. No salt/pepper was provided and our bartender was missing most of the time so we couldn't ask for it. Thank goodness for ketchup! For my meal, I ordered the "beef & feta toastie" with a side salad. It tasted like a steak & cheese sub and a grilled cheese sandwich had a baby. And even though I like feta, swiss and arugula, the taste of the combination inside my sandwich was odd/not that great. But I'd still say the sandwich was on good quality bread that was toasted perfectly. My favorite part of my meal was the dressing that came with my side salad; I could have drank it out of a cup, it was that good! My husband had the chicken pot pie and said it was just ok.
