Grilled Salmon

Friendly and attentive service. Good vibes with live jazz set for Sunday brunch. Very tasty food, loved the French Toast and flavorful Salmon. 10/10!

Garlic Fries

I've known about this restaurant, but had no idea it was conveniently located in downtown Dedham and was such an interesting and wide space. The curb appeal was nice and the atmosphere is good for a variety of dining experiences: Family, Date night, Girls Night, Celebrations, etc. There is an ample bar and lounge area. We went during the day, but I could see the appeal at night. The menu featured classic Haitian dishes and some that seem like fusion cuisine. I was disappointed to see that the crab cake was removed from the menu, but the seared scallops were a great alternative. My family loved the BBQ wings as well, but the star of the show was the amazing crispy and flavorful garlic fries!!! SOOOOOO delicious. Great restaurant and very kind and professional staff. Prices were a bit off putting for lunch time (Entrees $20 -40+).

Rasta Pasta, plantain taco
Alyana S.

Highly recommend this spot. I had the Rasta Pasta and Plantain Tacos, which were delectable. Pasta portions were huge and the flavor profile of the plantains with the meat/slaw was perfection. Also had the strawberry marg and lemon drop from the cocktail menu and both had great flavor. Staff was attentive, especially the head bartender who made great conversation with us.

Live music on Friday nights. Worth it!

Located right in the heart of Dedham this spacious restaurant serves Caribbean style cuisine. Large portion sizes and good size menu. While Caribbean truthfully isn't my favorite....they do have some items on the menu for everyone. The plantain sliders are great, have tried the sandwiches, shrimp, and black rice. Great selection of drinks and full bar. Staff is lovely and helpful. Also has live music with a lot of talent on weekends. Fun place for a date night.

Receipt

Quality & Quantity was terrible for $130.54. $42 for a half filled tray of black rice with 4 regular size shrimps. $28 for half filled tray of black rice with chicken that taste like burnt charcoal. $52 for 2 orders of chicken Tacos, all dark meat scraps with multiple bones. Both items were really greasy. I still attempted to eat it and ended up nauseous from all the oil. Before I placed my order I specifically asked about the rice and was assured it would be filled (this was the second time I this happened to me on a take out order). Extremely disappointed.

Jerk caramelized pineapple burger

My partner and I got the fried plantain sliders w griot (roasted pork), jerk caramelized pineapple burger, and roasted mustard chicken - TASTE: 5/5 - highlights included the sliders w its comforting plantains, sweet pork, and slaw; burger w its well-seasoned patty, jerk spices, sweet pineapple, and garlic-heavy fries; and the chicken's black rice (riz donjon). Thought the chicken could've been more flavorful though TEXTURE: 4/5 - the sliders were super satisfying w its tender plantain base and crunchy slaw. Also enjoyed the thick-cut fries and chicken's crisp skin. Presentation was on point for all of the dishes PRICE: 3/5 - the sliders were expensive at $19, so subtotal was $72. A steep lunch for us SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - good portions. We left satisfied SERVICE: 3/5 - we walked in at 12:30pm on a Saturday and were the only party seated. It was noticeably slow to get our menus and, later, the bill - maybe it's meant to be a more leisurely, relaxed experience? Our waiter was kind and helpful in answer our menu questions ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - larger space than expected w great music and an open kitchen. Appreciate that Orchid7 brings a piece of the Caribbean to Mass PARKING: 5/5 - parked in Town of Dedham's Keystone Lot, across the street, for free

Haitian Delights Attention foodies! My friends brought me here to celebrate my birthday and it was a great experience to say the least. I'm recently vegan and the options they have are scrumptious. The level of flavor in my coconut chickpea curry had my taste buds dancing for more. Every dish was bursting with authenticity, and it was evident that the chefs put their heart and soul into their creations. Their birthday celebration is very cute you get a cake that's plated beautifully and says happy birthday. A Feast for the Eyes: Haitian Art They showcase their beauty of Haitian art throughout its walls. The vibrant paintings and sculptures transported me to the bustling markets and lush landscapes of Haiti. Final Thoughts! The flavorful dishes will transport you to the streets of Port-au-Prince, while the captivating Haitian art will ignite your imagination. So, gather your friends and embark on a flavor-filled adventure. Be prepared to be dazzled by the incredible flavors and immerse yourself in the rich culture of Haiti. Bon appétit!

Nice surprise to find this gem. Great food, great service and great vibes! Hats off to the chef. Me and my girl had a great time here and would definitely recommend!

Cup of Beef Chili with Pita Bread
Eunice I.

I really like the decor here. It's very colorful, spacious and inviting. I also think the servers are very down to earth and can converse with you. On the day I went, I ordered jerk wings and a cup of chili. The chili was very tasty and came with a side of pita. I would definitely recommend it, but I didn't love the jerk wings. They had a sour taste; I'm not sure what ingredient caused the wings to taste like that, but I never tasted jerk wings like that before. What was a bit annoying was the fire alarm went off while I was there, and it was painfully loud. We all had to evacuate the restaurant when the fire service came, and I heard a server say it was the second time the fire alarm went off that day. I understand they are a new restaurant, but they might need to work that out because I can imagine that will be an annoyance to some who are in the middle of a meal and have to rush out the restaurant or try and converse over an excruciatingly loud alarm. Thankfully, my friend and I had finished eating by the time the alarm went off and just needed to grab our check, but I've never experienced this before and I eat out a bit, so yeah, I would definitely return and give them another chance but I hope they straighten out their smoke detector system!

Pork ribs

Great spot in Dedham, great vibes, good music, and hands down some of the best drinks around. I love the fish bowl drink. The ribs were pretty tender (kind of fall off the bone but a little tougher than I like) still great and the sauce is delicious. The salmon was cooked great, the black rice is one of the highlights here. The atmosphere is great for a date night or hanging out either some friends watching a game. I would say the vibe is kind of casual mixed with business casual. I guess it depends on the night. The good thing is you can pretty much get a table on Fridays or Saturdays

Bruschetta Mozzarella
Medgy R.

Incredible..... I can honestly say I will definitely return to Orchid7... every single meal I had was delicious, we ordered the Bruschetta Mozzarella ($11.95), Jumbo wings in garlic ($15.95) as appetizers. For our entrees we had the Plantain Tacos ($18.95), and Rasta Pasta with Salmon ($32.95). And as for drinks we ordered the Passion Fruit Lychee ($15.50), Moscow Mule ($13), Coconut Lychee ($15.50) and Piña Colada ($14). All our meals were packed with flavor and are drinks were very well made what makes our experience at Orchid7 even better was our waiter being so nice and friendly. Before we even paid the bill we we're already planning on when we would return. I definitely recommend Orchid7 Fusion Bar.. 10 out of 10 The garlic wings came with about 7-8 pieces (we devoured them before I could even get a before picture) oh and we definitely made sure we ended with dessert and Cappuccino

I came here to dine with friends on a weekday evening and was super excited because I heard nothing, but great reviews. The restaurant is located in the heart of Dedham Square about 30 minutes south of downtown Boston and is very close to the lines of Hyde Park. Upon walking in the space is well lit with a host stand at the door, several smaller party tables along the perimeter of the venue and even has a fireplace surrounded by love seats, a couch, tv, and a neighboring wine rack. My party was for six people so we were nestled towards the back of the dining room past the bar. . Anna, our server was attentive and continued to check in periodically although we had not even looked at the menu after nearly 30 minutes into our reservation. To wine down (see what I did there??) we had Black Girl Magic Rose and added a seafood appetizer of seared sea scallops to compliment the drink. The sauce was a decadent yellow and the dish itself was succulent. Next we orderd the Orchid 7 wings jerk style and the flavor did not disappoint. Spicy is what you expect, but you could taste other smoky flavors beyond that. Our last appetizer were the french fries which were steak cut, seasoned and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. While dining, the chef Paul stopped by our table to ask us how everything was going which showed me how intentional they are with their standard of service. . We placed our order for entrees and I got the coconut curry chickpeas with a a side of plantains. Do not be fooled by the small size of the bowl its presented in! It was A LOT OF FOOD! I was so filled from the apps, I took the rest home and ate out of it four times with my sister! My friends ordered the Grilled Salmon with black rice, the Rasta Pasta and lastly the Orchid 7 Burger which also had huge portions. I wish we had space for dessert - I almost never do :-( as they have a fridge filled with several delectable cakes and cheesecakes. Hands down the best experience I have had at a Caribbean restaurant and hope to dine here again soon!

Scallops & Sweet Potato Fries

I went here to try this establishment out again, and it was still a disappointment. The food was just okay but the service was underwhelming. The server came by infrequently and the hostess was preoccupied with her phone. This was a couple of months ago. I had good company that's the only reason i stayed. No thanks! Management needs to do stronger monitoring of staff.

$31 FOR THIS?!…read more Listen... I really tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but baby, NO. I paid $31 for this tiny little box of food that looked like a damn bento box, plus some mac and cheese. And when I tell you I was disappointed... I was DISAPPOINTED. First of all, the jerk chicken was basically bones and scraps. I'm talking barely any meat whatsoever. I was literally looking through it like... "Okay... where is the chicken?" Then the rice and peas were UNDERCOOKED. Crunchy. The cabbage? Also undercooked and crunchy. I got a whole bunch of rice, but what am I supposed to do with a whole bunch of crunchy rice? The plantains? Two tiny pieces. TWO. And then we have the mac and cheese. Chile... what was THAT?! Dry, bland, tasteless, and honestly looked like somebody boiled some noodles, threw some shredded cheese in there, put it in a cup, and said, "Yep, that's mac and cheese." No seasoning. No creaminess. No flavor. Just... noodles and cheese. So to recap: $31 for a tiny little box of food, scraps of chicken, undercooked rice, undercooked cabbage, TWO tiny pieces of plantain, and some dry-a$$ mac and cheese? Yeah... no ma'am. I was standing ight here at City Hall Plaza looking at this food like you have GOT to be kidding me. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Actually, I'm giving it a 10/10 disappointment rating, because at least they were consistent.

We ordered buss up shut, curry chicken, and chana and aloo. Everything came out so delicious and full of flavor. The team enjoyed the food and asked for another catering event and so I placed an order for the same dishes and the owner Allan, worked with our budget. Allan is very friendly and accommodating.
